Sam and Dean came running down the steps, returning from Chuck's house two months after the novels release. Charlie had left once she had a the opportunity to see the boys and now it was business as normal.
"How was Chuck's house?" Mari asked, grinning because Sam had already told her what happened over the phone.
"We found nothing but this crazy fan," Dean said.
"What made them crazy?" Mari asked offering up some of her fries from lunch.
"Yea, what made her so crazy Dean?" Sam grinned.
"She shipped Cas and I," Dean grumbled stuffing his face with the rest of Mari's eyes.
"What's ship mean?" Mari asked innocently, though she kept giggling.
"You know damn well what it means."
Mari and Sam laughed while Dean pouted and Abby looked between them confused.
"Anyways, Kevin how's it going?" Dean said, turning his attention to Kevin in his usual corner.
"I think I'm on to something but I need more time to see if it's actually relevant."
"Well it's a lot to get through, so take your time," Sam said, finally gaining his composure. It had been late so everyone but Kevin said their goodnights and went to bed. Kevin stayed up for hours before he suddenly got up and ran down to the rooms. He got to Mari's door and knocked. After a few seconds, Mari opened the door with disheveled hair and a gun in hand.
"Kevin what the hell? I almost shot you and you could have woken up Lexi!" Mari whispered loudly.
"Lexi's in the tablet. Well not her specific name or whatever and I haven't fully translated it yet. But I've found the words second child of God and sacrifice along with angel redemption. I wanted to warn you first."
Mari looked back to Lexi, asleep in her bed. Mari closed the door behind her and leaned back against it.
"Well it's not like I didn't think this was a possibility," she mumbled.
"It might not be like that. There's still more that needs to be translated. Last time we followed things piece by piece Sam almost died."
"Yea. Thanks for giving me a head up. Don't tell the guys though."
"I won't. I just go back to reading," Kevin said, about walking away but Mari grabbed his shoulder and pulled him into a hug.
"Thanks Kevin, but get some rest," Mari said and kissed Kevin lightly on the cheek before letting go and returning to her room.
