YES, I'M ALIVE! Sorry for the SUPER late update! I've been so busy with school and work, I haven't had the time to even write anything! I'm sorry! Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

DIZCLAIMER: Me still no own...

"THEY'LL NEVER ACCEPT YOU…" Yami Bakura said to Bakura. Covering his ear, Bakura shook his head furiously and muttered, "You're wrong."

He slowly raised his head and saw Yami Bakura's refection in his bathroom mirror. Without warning, Bakura raised a fist a punched the mirror.

After a few years since Yami Yugi left for the afterlife, Yami Bakura had also left Bakura and he was new again. Yet there are times when Yami Bakura would come back as a memory and haunt Bakura's mind. Bakura could still remember the times Yami Bakura would mentally tortured him when no one was around. At first, Bakura had no idea that this entity existed until that one terrifying night when Yami Bakura captured Yugi and his friend and made them play the Shadow Games. It became worse when Yami Bakura was the first to discover who Bakura really was. Poor Bakura was tortured so badly, it took him years to finally open his feelings to someone.

Now that Bakura has come out and strong, he decided he wasn't going to let some mere memory stop him.

Bakura immediately felt a sharp, prickly pain on his knuckles. He held his breath and examined his hand. It was bleeding. He exhaled and held his injured hand for a few moments. then using his unharmed hand, he grabbed several tissues, alcohol from his cupboard, and bandages. He began to slowly take the shards out of his knuckles.

LATER…

With flowers in hand, Bakura gently knocked on the door and stepped inside the room. As soon as he stepped in, he noticed Mai sitting on her bed, her arms crossed.

Oh-oh, this doesn't look too good, Bakura thought. He placed the flowers on the edge of her bed and took a seat next to her, "What's wrong?" he asked gently.

Mai shook her head, and turned her face stubbornly towards the window. "Nothing," she replied.

Bakura nodded slowly. So she's not going to talk…at least not now.

"Where's the baby? Have you seen it?" he asked.

At this, Mai's lips trembled, "I don't want to see it," she said.

Ah, so that's what this is about. Bakura thought. "Why? What's wrong? Is the baby sick?"

Mai shook her head, "No, the baby's recovering fine…" her voice shook, "It's…It's just that…I don't want the kid, Bakura."

Bakura raised an eyebrow. "Tell me," he pressed gently.

Mai sighed, shook her head and looked away, "Nothing, you won't understand,"

Bakura still pressed on, "Try me,"

Mai looked at him, "Well…" she began. Then she noticed a bandage wrapped around Bakura's right hand. She gasped and pointed, "What the hell happened?" she asked.

Bakura hastily placed his injured hand away from her view, "It's nothing," he said, "Please, continue."

Mai gave Bakura's injured hand one last glance the she said, "I don't want the kid."

Bakura wasn't surprised, he had a feeling this was going to happen. "Mai," he began, "It's okay to feel nervous…"

"I'm NOT scared!" Mai retorted back, "I just don't want the kid, is all."

"Mai, its okay…we all got your back. You won't be the only one taking care of the child." Bakura held her hand, "Yugi said it several times, and we will all pitch in to help."

Mai shook her head, "You don't understand! What if I screw up? What if that kid ends up as screwed up as me?!"

"Mai, it's okay, you're going to be fine," Bakura said gently.

At that moment, a knock was heard, they both turned and found Shizuka's head in the doorway. She was beaming, "Hello!" she greeted cheerfully, "I was wondering if I could visit the baby?"

MEANWHILE…

Yugi's hands were sweating again. He sighed nervously, and quietly withdrew his hand from Anzu, who blushed for the fifth time. They were walking down the street heading toward a restaurant for lunch. They had decided to go out on their first date. So far, everything was great, they went to the park, then the arcade they were laughing and having a great time. Until, that is, they started walking out in the streets, where they faced every couple's worst nightmare: silence.

Not only that, but also the fact that Yugi thought it would be a good idea to hold Anzu's hand. Her hand! The hand he had been dreaming of holding for a long time. It probably wasn't a big deal, was it? They had been friends for so long. It shouldn't feel awkward, right?

Wrong.

Yugi was wrong. Dead wrong. It was extremely awkward. Every time Yugi tried to hold Anzu's hand, he felt the whole world staring. It was so embarrassing. Holding Anzu's hand wasn't embarrassing…it's just that…well. It's really hard to explain. After all, this is Anzu's and Yugi's first relationship.

"I'm sorry," Yugi muttered for the sixth time already.

Anzu shook her head nervously, "N-No, it's okay. You're fine."

Silence.

Anzu decided to glance that shops they were passing by. She spotted a pink dress, that's cute, she thought. Meanwhile, Yugi was coming up with things to say.

Silence.

"Maybe we should take things slow," Anzu suddenly said.

Yugi snapped out of his thoughts, "Wh-what?"

"Take things slow…"Anzu repeated quietly, "I mean…we're both new at this."

Yugi thought about for a moment, then he nodded, "Of course," the he laughed and so did Anzu. "I don't know what was going on with me," he said.

"I think we should just be normal," Yugi said, "I don't know why we're trying so hard."

"Yeah," Anzu agreed.

Then Anzu's eyes lit up, "Hey! Can we try this place?" She pointed at restaurant across the street, "I've been dying to try that! I heard the food is good!"

"Sure," Yugi said.

MEANWHILE…

Shizuka finally found the nursery. She eagerly peered into the window and decided to guess which baby was Mai's. She spotted a little boy sleeping sounding by the window. Could it be him? She noticed a girl looking eagerly at the place, fascinated by everything her new little eyes glanced upon. The door of the nursery opened and a young nurse came out. She smiled brightly at Shizuka, "Come to see your baby?" she asked.

"Ah, no. Not mine, but a friend's." Shizuka confessed.

"What's your friend's name?" the nurse asked.

"Kujaku…" Shizuka said. "Kujaku Mai." The nurse nodded, "Okay" she said, "Please, follow me."

Shizuka couldn't believe her luck! She actually had a chance to see the baby!

"Mind you," the nurse suddenly said, "The baby is a tiny bit fragile, but you can still carry it."

The nurse stopped at a particular crib and carefully handed the infant to Shizuka.

"Thank you!" Shizuka said softly. She smiled at the baby, who was sound asleep, "Hello there," she said.

LATERS…

"So what are you going to do?" Bakura said, "Send it to adoption?" Mai shook her head furiously, "No! Never!" she cried.

"See?" Bakura said laughing softly, "You care, that's a start. A very good start."

Bakura felt so bad for Mai. He figured that Mai would have some doubts, but he had no idea how much she has been suffering. With no idea how to take care of a child, no idea of who the father is. Mai was alone. Completely alone.

Mai was crying, and Bakura noticed that he has never seen Mai look so fragile. He embraced her.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "I'm so sorry."

Mai didn't say anything, she could only sob harder.

"I'm sorry."

MEANWHILE…

Shizuka giggled as she saw the infant stare curiously at her, like Shizuka was the strangest and most fascinating thing it has ever seen.

"That's right," Shizuka said softly, "I am you're Auntie…"

Shizuka began to admire the features of the tiny infant. Then, a thought occurred to her.

"Hey…you look familiar…"

OH CRAPP! WHAT WAS DAT? OH WELLS! Ya'll have to stay tune next time! :3
