Draco wants to speak to his parents, the Weasley family and the Golden Trio. Thank you to Meijin Lightus for the review and I did put up a trigger warning in chapter 27 for a reason. To The dragon cat I did not know that, thank you I will keep that in mind for any other HP story I do.
You all will need to wait a while for the next update since I have a lot going on. Thanks for the support and the patience with me!
I wanted to post since Labor Day, here you are.
Please R/R.
When Draco woke up again he saw that there were two red eyed males next to him, one lying next to him and the other above him. "Gajeel? Rogue?" Draco rubbed his eyes, blinking awake. "Hey. Glad to see you up and awake, Rogue." He smiled at the younger Redfox. "Draco… I'm sorry about everything!" Rogue bowed to the blond boy. "Rogue. You have nothing to apologize for. And I'm sure your sister feels the same. Wendy will love you regardless. You and Gajeel are her brothers, Lucy is her sister. You three are her family."
Rogue was stunned by how quickly Draco forgave him and how he explained the situation with Wendy to him and his brother. "Can I get up? I want to talk to my parents, I know that they are outside, waiting for the barrier to come down or for me to leave and speak to them. I wanted to wait until Wendy woke up but I think I should do this on my own." Gajeel shrugged but told him that Pantherlily needed to go with him.
"But Pantherlily is your Exceed, I can't take him from you." "Wendy will gut me if she finds out that you have no protection around you, Draco. You are a High Royal and her Mate. You need some form of protection. Please, take Lily with you until Wendy wakes up and is healed." "Very well, Gajeel I will do this. Thank you for approving of me." Gajeel raised his brow at him.
"I said no such thing, brat. You might be Wendy's Mate but that does not mean that I approve of it, or like it. You watch yourself, got it? No funny business." Gajeel was really taking this whole 'big brother' thing to the extreme with his sister. But that's to be expected, Draco figured that since Gajeel and Rogue had been separated from their sister they want to spend as much time as possible with her.
Draco got up and went outside to find his parents and talk to them about what would be happening in a few months.
"Mother, father?" "I need to speak to bothof you." He says. "Draco, what is it? How are you feeling, son?" Narcissa asked her son. "I'm fine, mother. Can we go somewhere private to speak?" He asked his parents. They nod at he takes them to the Room of Requirement.
He drew in a breath and told them.
"I am going to get the transfers home, and I will be going with them. I will possibly not ever see you or father again." He said with a straight face, wanting to gauge his mother's reaction. "Wh… What?" She was surprised, the Malfoy parents did not know that was what their son would say. This was when Lily interrupted, "Wait, what? You're coming with us back to Fiore? Why would you want to do that? You'll never get to see your family again." "Perhaps, but there are few in my family I would ever willingly miss." He told the black Exceed.
"Draco what is the meaning of this? You can't leave, you are the Malfoy heir! What has that girl done to you?!" His father yelled. That wasn't something someone said without making Lily angry. "Watch yourself, Wendy made sure your son survived the Tournament. You owe everything to her." Before Narcissa or Lucius was able to say anything back to the cat, the door opened showing the Redfox brothers.
Narcissa Malfoy was livid. Both Malfoys were angry that their son would up and leave like that. The Redfox's came and stood with Draco. Lily flew back to Gajeel's shoulder. "Gajeel, Rogue. What are you two doing here?" Draco asked the two Princes. "Wanted to make sure you didn't get hurt. That would be bad if a High Royal would get hurt." Gajeel lied. Gajeel made sure that his brother and Wendy's Mate were slightly behind him.
"You done yelling at him? Good. That's his decision so leave him be. And he ain't yours you assholes. He's not anyone's but his Mate and Kin's. Never forget that." Gajeel was not happy about this, but he wanted to make it known that Draco was under his protection, that he was under Acnologia's protection.
"If you harm him while any Slayer is with him you will know what true hell is. Lay a hand on the High King's namesake and a Celestial Champion you will not live long. I don't care if you are his mother." Gajeel growled possessively at the blonde woman.
The Malfoy's ran out of the room in both fear and anger, Gajeel looked at Draco and shook his head. "No Slayer, whether known or unknown, will ever let you be harmed. More than that, if Wendy wakes up and sees you harmed we'll never hear the end of it." He smiled fondly as he said the last part.
"That's because she's my Mate." Draco grinned at her brothers. "You wouldn't let anyone really hurt your siblings and Kin. I know that." Draco told the elder brother. He did his odd laugh and Rogue smiled, going back to the infirmary to rest and look after his older sister.
His older sister.
Rogue needed to still get used to that, not only does he have a brother, he has a sister. A beautiful, brave, amazing sister who was hurt because of his sadistic future half. Rogue shook his head away from those thoughts as his brother left in search of his own Mate.
Draco and the black cat went in search of the first person he needed to speak with after that fiasco with his parents. Making his way to the Great Hall he found who he was looking for. The light blonde hair of Luna Lovegood made it easy to spot her. He walked up to the Ravenclaw table and tapped her lightly on the shoulder to get her attention.
"Ah, Draco. Hello. I am glad Wendy found her Mate within you." She smiled at him. "How did you know?" "I am an Aura Enchanter. I don't really know what that entails but I do hope that your Lady Wendy can help me. What would you like to talk about, Prince Draco?"
"How…?" Luna giggled and took his hand, leading him away from the stunned students and teachers. "Come now, Draco. Do you really think I wouldn't sense who your Mate is? So, what do you wish to speak to me about?" "Would you like to come to Fiore with me and the rest of the mages?" He asked simply. She looked like she didn't hear him, but he knew better. From watching Luna for a while in both Fourth and Fifth year he knew she was listening, she was just trying to figure out how to answer.
A huge smile split her face. "Of course, I would love to go with you and the rest of the mages." "You know you won't be able to see your family or friends again, right?" "I understand, but I think that starting a brand new adventure will be good for us. Don't you think?" She asked him with a look in her eye.
He chuckled, "Yes, I think so." The two Hogwarts students went back to the Great Hall, all of the students still looking at them like they were a new species of creatures. He went over to the Slytherin table and had a quick conversation with Mira, picked up a peach and went over to the Gryffindor table.
"Hello. Harry, Hermione. May I speak to you about something important? Also, Ron, you and your siblings need to come as well, it involves them." Draco shifted from foot to foot, not knowing what they would say. Draco knew he was horrible to them but this was more than an apology to them, it was a confession, and a deal he made with his new Mate.
"Why?" Hermione was the first one to break the silence that had taken over the hall. "Because I was wrong. Wrong about a lot of things and I owe you an apology but I also need to speak to the Weasleys and Harry about their families." He answered her honestly. Panther Lily was sitting on his right shoulder listening to the Slytherin boy speak.
"I think we should give him a chance. We saw what he and Wendy had to do during the Tournament. I think we should hear him out." A voice said. They turned to see Ginny Weasley walking up to the Golden Trio with her older twin brothers walking on either side of her.
The seven students and cat went out of the Great Hall, away from the prying eyes and ears all around them. Draco led them to the Slytherin Common Room, he knew no one would come in here, not with his Slayer magic masking all of their presences. He opened the door and waited for them to go in before he shut the door.
"What do you want Malfoy?" Hermione asked the blond boy. He turned around and faced Hermione Granger. He stared at her and bowed deeply to her. "I am so sorry about everything I have ever done and said to you. It wasn't right and it was cruel. You are an amazingly powerful and talented witch. I hope you know that I am not lying and that all I have said and will say to all of you is the absolute truth." He turned to the Weasley siblings and bowed again. He had to breathe to sort out what he was going to say to them.
"Your family is one of the most pure hearted Pure-Blood families out there. You have been doing everything in your power to change how wizards and witches perceive the other Blood classes, and what your father does is very admirable. He wants to study muggles and learn from them to help our community. All witches and wizards. And as I said to Hermione, I am deeply sorry for everything I have ever done to you and your family."
He kept bowing to them, closing his eyes to not see their reactions. Would it be too late to apologize or would it not be enough? He didn't know but it scared him. He wanted to make Wendy proud to show her that he was a good Mate and a good friend.
After a few minutes of continued bowing he felt a small hand on his arm, he opened his eyes and straightened up looking at the red haired girl smiling up at him. "Thank you Draco. My brothers don't know how to apologize but I will tell you that I believe you. I know that what you are saying is true and is very helpful. Thank you." She went back to stand next her open-mouthed brothers.
Ginny Weasley smiled encouragingly at Draco as he turned to the last and hardest challenge he had to get through. Harry Potter. Draco calmed his racing heart down at looked to Harry. He then started his story.
"Before Wendy was taken to the Capital she found the man who framed your godfather, Harry. She found the man that took away part of both of our families." He stopped to see how Harry was handling this. Harry asked a question, "What do you mean?" "Sirius Black, he is my maternal uncle and your godfather. He is family to both of us. He is one of the few family members I will actually miss."
"What do you mean? Where are you going?" Harry asked the blond. "I'm going to Wendy's home country. I won't be able to come back." Hermione and the rest who were listening to his story were shocked that he would leave all he has ever known to go with a group of people who were like strangers to him. "Luna is also coming with us. She decided it all on her own, she wants to train with Wendy to become an Aura Enchanter."
"Bloody hell, man." Ron said as he shook his head in wonder. Draco took the small silence as a sign to continue explaining. "Wendy found that the man who framed Sirius was Peter Pettigrew. The rat who you named Scabers, Ron. She had him confess to the entire thing. I already gave him to the Ministry, so Sirius will be freed and pardoned by the end of the day. Also I need to give you these, they belong to you, Lord Harry Potter."
Draco backed up a bit and gently pushed Pantherlily off of his shoulder and drew a sword. It was Godric Gryffindor's sword. Harry, Hermione and the Weasley siblings stared in utter awe and shock at what was in front of them.
The fabled Sword of Gryffindor.
Draco lifted his head up and handed the sword to Harry, lifting the sword in his right hand he gazed at the blade in awe. After the Gryffindor's turned their attention back onto Draco he handed Harry a bag filled with odd items. "These are the soul fragments of Voldemort. I tracked all of them down, the only way to destroy them is with the sword. However after you destroy them all there is still one more that needs to be extracted. The only one who can extract the last part of Tom Riddle's soul is Wendy."
"Wait what? These are… You-Know-Who's soul?" Draco nodded, completely seriously. "What do you mean 'extract'?" Harry asked, he really didn't want to know the answer but he needed the answer. "When Tom Riddle (that's Voldemort's real name) went to your family home in Godric's Hollow he failed to kill you because of your mother. The Killing Curse failed and part of Voldemort's soul is now inside you. Wendy can extract the soul fragment and you need to destroy it with the Elder Wand, the wand that Dumbledore has."
Harry and the rest of them froze in fearful shock. They didn't know what to do with the information that Draco had just told them, but one thing they all did know, was that Wendy Marvel was Harry's only chance at escaping the prophecy that was told all those years ago.
"When you destroy the last part of his soul he will become mortal again and that will be your chance to finally kill him before this war ever starts." Draco had finished speaking and waited for the shouts of disbelief and outrage, but nothing came from the teenagers in front of him.
"Thank you for telling us all of this, Draco. We will do what we need to, to end this, once and for all." Ginny had gained wisdom beyond her years as she said that to the Slytherin.
