EPOV

Two weeks into November, I decided it was probably time for me to start seriously looking into places to open my practice. I had already become bored with the leisure time not working provided and I was starting to drive Bella nuts, always being underfoot. I busied myself in the garage for a few days, trying to bring out my inner handyman by making a birdhouse with my new power tools. I quickly lost interest when it was apparent my skills did not lay in woodworking. The birds themselves wouldn't go near my birdhouse and ultimately it had to be condemned. Bella eased my hurt feelings by preparing a bubble bath for two.

With my carpentry days behind me, I gravitated toward my beautiful, yet feisty, wife. It wasn't my fault I couldn't keep my hands off her. I walked into the study one morning, finding her typing away on her laptop. I slid behind her and started rubbing her shoulders.

"Don't read this!" she yelled, putting her hands up in front of the screen.

"I wasn't," I told her. I may have peeked a little. "Can't I give you a backrub?" I tried to use my most innocent voice.

"No. Go over there and read something if you're bored. I need to work," she said with a scowl, turning her head up at me. I raised my hands and walked over to my desk.

I turned on my computer and started looking up some recent literature on children with ADD, knowing I needed to keep abreast of the newest findings if I was going to be in charge of my own practice.

"Edward, quit humming." I looked up and saw Bella staring pointedly at me.

"Sorry," I mumbled. I hadn't realized I was humming. I continued my reading, making some notes as I went along. When I heard the loud sigh across the room, I looked over at her again. "What?"

"I love you more than anything, but quit tapping your pen. You are about two taps away from seeing a pregnant freak-out," she informed me. I was quite sure I didn't want to go anywhere near a pregnant freak-out. She already had two pens in her hair and fiery eyes.

I did my best to remain quiet and still. A few minutes later, I glanced over warily when I saw her stand up and start walking over. She bit her lip and smiled as she neared. Twitch. I wanted to throw her up on top of my desk. She knew what it did to me when she bit her lip like that.

Her fingers trailed along my shoulder lightly as she stepped behind me. I closed my eyes when she leaned into me and slid her hands down my chest.

"I'm sorry if I was moody before; I just really wanted to finish that chapter," she said softly. I only nodded as her hands kept rubbing me. "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" she whispered in my ear. My cock had quite a few ideas. I moaned when she nibbled on my earlobe. "What do you want?"

"You," I managed to croak out. I felt my chair roll out from the desk and opened my eyes to see her move to stand in front of me between my legs. Her eyes stared into mine as her hands pulled the pens out of her hair and let it spill over her shoulders and down her back. I reached out to rub her thighs and she pushed my shoulders back.

"Sit back and watch," she said. No argument from me. My hands rested on the arms of the chair as I watched her hands grab the bottom of her tank top. I'm sure my mouth fell open a little as she pulled it up and off. No bra! I wanted to lick those full breasts staring me in the face.

She shocked me a little when I watched her hands slide up her waist to hold and caress her breasts. I would have paid money to see this striptease she was putting on for me. Luckily, I got it for free. My eyes honed in when she traced her nipples with her fingers. I knew she was probably smirking at my reaction, but I couldn't tear my eyes away from watching her touch herself to look at her face.

Then, her hands moved slowly down her sides until her thumbs slid under the waistband of her shorts as her hips swayed back and forth like a metronome. She teased me, taking a torturously long time to slide them down. She leaned forward as she brought them down to her knees, her face practically on top of my crotch. I'm sure she was amused by the tent of my sweatpants.

Her eyes locked on mine again as she stepped out of her shorts and panties, sliding her hands up my thighs. I took a deep breath when her hand slipped inside my pants, stroking me. She leaned forward, gripping the back of my chair with her other hand to keep her steady, and kissed me.

"Do you want me?" she asked, her lips brushing against mine.

"Fuck, yes."

I was about to pull her down to straddle me when we were interrupted by her phone ringing over on her desk. I groaned when she pulled away and walked over to answer it. I didn't hear any of the conversation because I was too distracted by her nakedness. I watched as she kept her eyes trained on me, leaning back against her desk as she talked. Different versions of exactly how I was going to take her were running through my mind. Would she come back over and ride me on my office chair? Would I throw my papers to the floor and fuck her on top of the desk? Maybe she would like it against the wall of books? Perhaps we could break in the couch? My fantasies ended when she put her phone down.

"Sorry, Edward. We are going to have to postpone this," she said, coming over a picking up her clothes. My mind didn't comprehend those words. My dick was about to start World War III.

"What? No." I'm relatively sure I was whining like a child. My hands went to her hips and I stood up to press into her from behind. I started kissing her neck just how I knew she liked. I smiled when she started humming and her hand brushed through my hair.

"That feels great, but I still have to go. Rose is almost here and we have to go for her dress fitting. I forgot that was today. I'm sorry," she said, turning around and stroking me again, "I hate to leave you in such a state."

Before I could even reply, she had turned and started quickly for the door. She turned back to me before walking out.

"At least I got my chapter done," she said with a smile. I just scowled and sat back down. I was alone with my rock-hard cock and we were both flipping Rose off.

As painful as that experience had been, I didn't have too much to complain about. Bella's libido had skyrocketed as she passed the mid-point of her second trimester. She had no hesitance in asking for, or demanding sex at any time, in any part of the house. I had even received a call in the middle of a lunch with a colleague, from a horny Bella begging me to come home and take care of her needs. Needless to say, lunch was cut short that day.

While Bella and I were both enjoying her mid-pregnancy urges, we also had to deal with a rather undesirable situation. Two days before Thanksgiving, Bella and I had to meet with Marcus. We drove into the city for a ten a.m. appointment. I could tell she was nervous as she fidgeted in her seat the entire time. I wasn't looking forward to the news we would receive, but I tried to keep her calm by holding her hand over the console.

"You know we can probably get you out of this," I said, breaking the silence as we neared the Volturi office building. She shook her head and I sighed.

"We've gone over this, Edward. I need you to support me," she told me. I did want to support her, but I wanted to keep her safe. I let the argument drop, knowing I wouldn't get anywhere. She had made up her mind and I simply had to deal with it.

Once we were in the office, Marcus made sure we were comfortable before starting. I continued holding Bella's hand as he began talking.

"They have set a trial date," he began. We had been informed already that the sentence and confession of James Monroe had been dismissed due to the former prosecutor and public defender being found guilty of their charged malpractice. Marcus focused on Bella. "Monroe has been remanded and charged with first-degree murder just as we thought would happen. The trial is set to start on January 23 in the Clallam County Superior Court in Port Angeles."

"What will happen between now and then? Will I have to go there to talk to the DA?" Bella asked, squeezing my hand.

"No. I have talked with the DA already. Her name is Carmen Ruiz and she seems quite sharp and capable. You will be interviewed, but she has told me we can do that by video conference from my office. You won't need to go to Washington until the trial," he explained. Bella nodded.

"I still don't like the long traveling at that point of your pregnancy," I pointed out. She gave me a pleading look.

"We've discussed this, Edward." She turned toward Marcus. "I have another check-up with my OB tomorrow and I will talk about this situation with her. I don't want to do anything to endanger my children, but this isn't a high-risk pregnancy and we can fly there by private jet. It should be fine for me to travel at seven months," she explained to him. I held my tongue. Marcus could obviously see that Bella and I didn't see eye-to-eye on this matter. He cleared his throat and addressed Bella again.

"Well, I will go ahead and schedule a time for us to conference with Ms. Ruiz in December. I would like to meet with you beforehand to go over your testimony," he said to her and she nodded.

"Will she be interviewed by the defense, also?" I asked.

"Yes, I assume so. The defense must be provided with a witness list and I am sure they will want to talk to Bella before the trial. I will make sure that is handled in a similar fashion by video conference through this office. I have not talked to his attorney yet, but I will let you know as soon as I do. Any contact should be made through this office since Ms. Ruiz has been provided this contact information. If for some reason, you are contacted at home by Riley Cooper, simply tell him to contact your attorney," he explained. I still wasn't completely satisfied.

"What happens if something occurs in the time between now and the trial which affects the pregnancy? What happens if it is deemed harmful for Bella to travel across the country and deal with the stress of facing her father's murderer?" I asked, before clenching my jaw. I didn't want to think of any of the problems that could occur, but it was difficult not to.

"If something came about that would endanger Bella or her pregnancy, then I would immediately contact the judge and the DA to determine if it would be possible for her testimony to be taken here and used in court. It would be up to the judge ultimately," he told us.

The meeting was over soon after, Marcus only confirming the scheduling of future meetings with Bella. We didn't talk as we walked out to the car. I wasn't sure if she was angry with me or not, but I wouldn't deny I still wanted to keep her far away from James. Not only did he kill her father but he had been, and maybe still was, obsessed with my Bella. I wasn't sure what I would do if I were in the same room with him and Bella wasn't going anywhere without me. I got her into the passenger seat and took a couple deep breaths before getting in to drive.

"Edward, please don't be angry with me," she said softly, placing her hand on my arm before I could start the ignition. I looked over at her face, her eyes pained with worry. I wanted to laugh at both of us thinking the other was mad. I might have if the situation had been remotely funny. I turned to face her and put her hand between both of mine.

"I'm not angry, baby. I'm just worried. I hate the thought of you being anywhere near him."

"I know. It's not something I am looking forward to. But, do you understand why I feel I need to do this?" I nodded. I did understand, but it didn't diminish my worry.

"Will you please promise me that if Emily tells you that it is risky, you will have Marcus push to have you testify here instead of going to Port Angeles?" I asked. She looked at me a moment before answering.

"Yes, I will promise you that. But don't try going behind my back and attempting to convince Emily to tell me it isn't safe if that's not true. I don't want any favors being passed between you doctors," she said. She was right in that I would likely have tried something like that. Although, it was doubtful Emily would agree to conspire with me and give Bella false information.

"Alright, I will agree to that. I will be at your side the whole time tomorrow. No talking to Emily without you," I promised.

We both seemed to want to put the trial talk to rest and spent the drive home discussing Thanksgiving. I knew Bella had volunteered to host dinner for the whole family but I was glad my mother had insisted on having it at their house. That didn't stop me from smiling as Bella told me all of the desserts she planned on making.

That evening we ate dinner and watched some TV in relative peace. The babies were really moving around. I enjoyed the feel of them as I kept my hands on Bella's belly while she lay against me. Bella laughed at me because I was cocooned in two blankets while we were on the couch. The house had been frigid since the fall temperatures had nosedived into winter and Bella not wanting the heat turned up too high inside.

Eventually we made our way upstairs and got ready for bed. I wanted to warm up a little so I jumped in the hot shower as Bella got into bed. I got out and quickly dried off and dressed in flannel pajamas, socks, a hat, and a scarf. I shivered as I paused in the doorway, looking into the dark room at Bella lying on the bed. Was she already asleep? Would she notice if I turned it up a little?

"Don't you dare touch that thermostat!"

I glanced longingly at the knob, my fingers twitching from the want to turn it up just a degree or two. I could no longer feel my toes. I adjusted my scarf and hat before running from the warm, steam-filled bathroom to jump in the bed and under the covers.

"Baby, it's like a meat locker in here," I whined. My teeth may have been chattering a little.

"I'm hot," she huffed, tossing her side of the blankets over on top of me. She was five months pregnant and had literally transformed into an incubator. The babies had somehow mutated her core temperature to inhuman levels and I had to live in an igloo. If I lost any appendages to frostbite, my kids were going to get a very stern lecture.

Bella grunted, while she twisted and turned, trying to get into a comfortable sleeping position. I grabbed my personal furnace and pulled her next to me. Maybe I could soak up some of the heat radiating off of her. I curled around her, my hand moving under the t-shirt she wore to rub her belly.

"Mmmm, Edward. That feels good. Why are your hands so cold?"

I bit my tongue, forbidding myself from telling her that normal people get cold when they live in an ice-cube. I kept rubbing her belly, trying to get her comfortable.

"Are you excited to find out if we are having boys or girls tomorrow?" I asked.

"Or, one of each," she pointed out. I buried my face in her sweet-smelling hair and chuckled.

She kept wiggling around trying to settle down. At least I knew my cock wasn't frozen. I pressed into her, trying to determine if she wanted to get a little naughty. I took it as a no when she completely ignored me and started snoring two minutes later. I finally let myself drift off still wrapped around her.

The next day we arrived for the OB appointment and waited anxiously through all the tests and questions before we got to see the babies on the ultrasound. Emily was all smiles as she squirted the gel on Bella's stomach and took a look.

"Oh, look at that. They are cooperating today," Emily said before looking over at me. "Edward, do you want to use some of that buried OB rotation knowledge and tell me what you see?"

I looked at the screen and squeezed Bella's hand. I felt like we were getting everything we ever wanted. I turned my head to see Bella looking at my face.

"It looks like we are having a boy and a girl," I said to her and looked at Emily for confirmation.

"Yes, congratulations Bella and Edward," she told us. I brushed away the tears running down from Bella's eyes. I knew by her grin that they were happy tears.

"Everything is fine then?" Bella asked Emily.

"Yes, you are progressing normally," she said as she wiped the gel off of Bella. "You need to begin determining your birth plan. Also, I want to let you know that carrying multiples often results in an early delivery. You need to be prepared for the possibility."

She went on to let Bella know that it was completely normal that she may experience false contractions, but to call her if anything felt abnormal. The fact that Bella could, and likely would, go into early labor made me even more wary of the trip to Washington. Bella must have sensed my unease because she began informing Emily of the entire situation. When Bella had finished, Emily pulled up a stool and sat beside the examination bed.

"It is my opinion that as long as your next appointment shows everything is still normal, air travel will be alright for you at seven months, particularly if you are flying in a private jet. You will need to get up and walk around as often as you can. I know this situation will be stressful for you, but try to limit it as much as you can," she said before leaning closer to Bella. "Bella, I am going to insist that you rely on the support around you. You have to let them help. It's not easy carrying twins and you are putting a lot of strain on your body. It comforts me that you will have your own personal doctor along with you, but don't take on everything yourself. It will help relax you if you need to talk or vent or scream to someone close to you. I know you have plenty of people that are ready to take on that role." Emily smiled at Bella and squeezed her hand.

"I will, I promise. This worrywart over here won't let me do anything too strenuous," Bella said with a grin. I'm sure the smile on my face was strained at best. Emily looked over to me and gave me a short nod. I think she knew how anxious I was. I wanted her to tell Bella that it wasn't safe for her to go, but I couldn't do that. The only option left was to simply support Bella as much as I could and go along for the ride. I would be talking to the entire family about this trip to Washington.

As Bella and I got settled into bed that night, I held her close. The three most important things in the world were sleeping in my arms and I would do anything to protect them.

It was Thanksgiving and I was up at 4:30 in the morning. I didn't need to be up that early, but I couldn't stay asleep. I was in charge of desserts and I was going to make enough pies, brownies, and cookies to make their heads spin. Originally, I had offered to have the family dinner at our house, but Esme insisted that she and Carlisle host. She didn't want me overdoing anything or stressing myself out needlessly.

It was quiet as I set out all the ingredients on the counter, waiting for the water to boil for my tea. I rubbed my stomach, smiling as I felt the babies moving around. I couldn't help remembering a moment from the week before. The look on Edward's face, when he was first able to feel them move, was something I would never forget.

I had been in the study, busy with my novel, when Edward came home from a meeting regarding leasing space for his new practice. He walked in carrying bags of Mexican take-out, because I had been craving fajitas.

"Look what I have," he teased, waving the bags back and forth in the air with a grin. He then turned and started jogging away towards the kitchen. I could smell the spicy salsa and chips from across the room.

"Yum! Gimme," I yelled, scrambling out of the chair and running after him.

Damn, beautiful taunting man. Didn't he know better than to wave food in front of a pregnant woman like that?

The babies apparently got as excited as I did because they started doing jumping jacks when I made my way to the kitchen. Laughter was bubbling up inside me as I felt them moving around.

"Edward, come here!" I said excitedly as I entered the kitchen.

"What is it, Bella?" He was by my side instantly, a look of worry on his face. I grabbed his hands to put on my stomach. I looked up to see his face as it dawned on him what he was feeling. The worry lines disappeared, and were replaced with a look of wonder before breaking out in a smile that could blind all of Chicago.

"Do you feel them?" I asked, already knowing the answer. He nodded his head quickly.

"Yes. Oh my God," he said softly. Then he knelt down, sliding one of his hands around to my back and placing his cheek in its place. "I think our babies like Mexican food," he said. I broke out with laughter, running my fingers through his hair.

He had spent the rest of the night with his face next to my belly, talking to the babies and trying to get them to move around. They obliged him a time or two, even if he knew they weren't responding to his voice yet.

I was broken out of my thoughts when the tea kettle started whistling. I poured my tea and drank it while reading over the recipes I had laid out. I started with the pies and had just begun preparing the pumpkin filling when I heard the soft sounds of the piano coming from the living room. I couldn't help the smile that emerged when I realized my beautiful, sleepy man had come downstairs to play music for me while I baked. I quickly put some coffee on for him and finished mixing the pie ingredients. I filled a cup for him as soon as it was brewed.

I stood in the doorway and watched him for a moment. I bit my lip to keep myself from laughing at the scene in front of me. He played on, not knowing he had an audience; sitting there in a sweatshirt, pajama pants, and a scarf. I walked over and put the steaming mug on some sheet music he had sitting on top.

"Hey, baby," he said, halting the music and wrapping his arms around me. I ran my hand through his bedhead hair. "Thanks for the coffee."

"I hope I didn't wake you up." He looked up at me and shook his head.

"No, I just missed you beside me and wanted to come down and keep you company; but I knew I would be in your way if I went in the kitchen," he said with a grin. I leaned down and kissed him. I laughed when I felt his arms squeezing me tighter and holding me close when I tried to pull back.

"Edward, I'm baking." He chuckled once and kept kissing me; pulling me down to sit on his lap. It didn't take him long to make me forget all about the desserts. Inner bad girl was ready to go to the store and buy a couple frozen pies and a bag of oreos so she had more time to make out with our hot husband.

"I think we should make this a tradition," he murmured in between soft kisses. I let out a little laugh.

"What? Making out on the piano bench before dawn?" I asked, pulling back to look at him. He opened his eyes and smiled.

"No….well, maybe." He started rubbing my belly. "I mean that next year, we will have our little girl and little boy. I think we should start some holiday traditions that we keep over the years with our family." I kissed him again. I loved when he got sentimental. "So I want us to have a little private piano time early on Thanksgiving mornings," he added.

"Alright, I want us to spend the day after Thanksgiving putting up Christmas decorations," I told him. I loved decorating for Christmas. The trees, the lights and ornaments, they reminded me of happy times as a child with Emmett and my dad. I had been thinking I wanted to put up at least two trees: one in front of the windows in the living room and maybe another in the study. "Can we go tomorrow and get a couple trees and decorations?" We needed everything since we were starting from scratch.

"Of course, although you know it's going to be a madhouse shopping tomorrow," he joked. Black Friday probably wasn't the best choice, but it would have to do this year.

"I will protect you from the crazies," I said with a giggle. He snuggled me tighter, kissing my neck.

"It's going to be different now," he said softly.

"What's going to be different?"

"Well, you and Alice are both pregnant. It's just weird to think about this being the last holiday season without little ones running around." He paused for a minute and looked at me again. "Weird, but good. Do you know what I mean?"

"Sure, I do. We won't be the kids anymore; although, you haven't been a kid for awhile," I teased and poked him in the stomach. I squealed when he started tickling me. "Stop! I'm sorry," I got out between my laughing and squirming.

"You better stop moving around on my lap like that or your baking is going to be very delayed," he said gruffly, nuzzling my neck again.

What baking? I couldn't think when he sucked on that spot only he knew. I was ready for him to take me right there on the piano, but instead he started talking again.

"Have you thought about any names?" he asked. I had been thinking about baby names for awhile, but we had decided not to discuss them until we knew the sexes. I nodded at him. I had one major request and I wasn't sure how Edward would respond to it. I took a deep breath.

"Well, I was hoping that you would agree to our son having part of his name in honor of my dad," I told him. His eyes were warm and he kissed me so softly.

"Of course, baby. I was thinking the same thing," he said. I couldn't help myself from hugging him tight. He didn't know how much that meant to me. "OK, so we definitely have Charles as part of our boy's name. What else were you thinking?"

"Do you want your son to have your name?" I asked. Some men seemed particular about that kind of thing and Edward did come from old money.

"No, that isn't important to me. I have a mixture of my grandfathers' names," he said. I knew both his grandfather Cullen had the middle name Edward and then Anthony Masen obviously came from Esme's dad. Carlisle's middle name was Alexander.

"How about Masen Charles Alexander Cullen?" I asked. He grinned as he thought it over and I knew his answer before he said a word.

"It's perfect," he said before giving me another kiss. "And for our daughter?"

"Well, your mother is Esme Illianna; then you have Katherine Penelope and Elizabeth Anne. I didn't really know my mother or grandmothers, but maybe we could use Renee as a middle name?" He nodded and sat silently for a minute, thinking over the names.

"Illianna Katherine Renee Cullen, we can call her Lily or Anna for short," he suggested.

"Yes, I think that's perfect," I agreed. Of course two middle names could be considered a bit stuffy, but I thought they worked well. I kissed him again. It was a bit exciting to determine the names of your kids.

After tearing ourselves away from our liplock, I convinced Edward to come with me and help prepare the desserts. I gave him easy tasks of rolling cookie dough or frosting brownies. It was nice just to have him close to me.

We left a few hours later for his parents' house. He only allowed me to carry in one small basket no matter how much I rolled my eyes at him. I immediately went to help Esme in the kitchen. She had me buttering the yeast rolls as they rose. Soon after, all the other women in the family showed up and gathered around in the kitchen. I went to my bag and handed out the newest ultrasound pictures, informing them Edward and I were having a boy and a girl. We were keeping our chosen names to ourselves for the time being, in case we changed our minds.

I laughed when Esme called Carlisle in to carve the turkey. He kept Rose and I entertained as he described the proper way to cut through the meat. I saw Edward's narrowed eyes as he walked in to find Rose and I mesmerized by his father's technical descriptions. Carlisle just knew how to captivate an audience.

Eventually, we were all seated around the table. I was happy that Rose and Emmett were able to be there. Emmett had an early practice and then they had given the team the rest of the day off for the holiday. Carlisle led a prayer first and then we had to go around the table and each of us gave our thanks.

"I'm thankful for my health and my family," Henry started. He turned his head to his wife.

"I'm thankful for the new additions to our family," Katherine said. I smiled as she looked my way.

"I'm thankful that Bella came to Chicago with us," Rose told everyone. I couldn't help the tears that came to my eyes thinking about what my life would have been if I hadn't come to Chicago. Edward put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me to him. I smiled at him before looking at Emmett.

"I'm thankful for the great season we are having. I'm also very thankful to be considered a part of this family," Emmett said. He glanced toward me and I smiled at him; the two of us sharing a silent thank you that we had loved ones around us again.

"I'm thankful for my two new sisters and new brother. I'm so thankful for our little one on the way," Alice said, her voice breaking a little. I watched Jasper embrace her and whisper something in her ear. I wanted to run over and hug her, but thought it would give away information she didn't want known to everyone else. Jasper cleared his throat before talking.

"I'm very thankful that Bella, Rose, and Emmett are all here with us. I'm thankful that my Alice and I are bringing our own little one into the world," Jasper said. I smiled as he leaned over to give Alice a kiss.

"I'm thankful for all our blessings and that our family has grown," Anthony said next.

"I'm thankful that both my grandchildren have found the loves of their lives and that I am getting great-grandchildren," Elizabeth told us with watery eyes. She leaned over to give me a kiss on the cheek.

I was up next. I hated being the center of attention. I wasn't even sure exactly what to say even though I had been running through possibilities since we started. There was so much I was thankful for. I squeezed Edward's hand and took a deep breath.

"I'm thankful for a stormy night in New York cutting off the power to the elevator of my hotel," I started. Everyone chuckled, even though only Edward and I knew all the details of that elevator ride. "I'm thankful to be a part of this wonderful family, and I only hope that I can bring a fraction of the love and joy to you that you have given me." I turned to Edward. "I'm so thankful I met you. I love you more than words can describe." I was supposed to have the words, but I didn't. I wasn't sure if I could ever really tell Edward how much he meant to me by using words alone. He brought my hand up to kiss my knuckles.

"I'm thankful you said yes. I know I've said that to you before, but I can't tell you enough how thankful I am. I love you," he said with another kiss before turning to the rest of the table. "I'm thankful for all my family and that we are able to be here together today." Edward turned toward his mom.

"I'm thankful for all the grandbabies coming," Esme said with a grin. Everyone laughed with her before finally turning to Carlisle.

"I'm thankful for the health and happiness of my family, new and old. We really are blessed," he claimed and paused for a moment, looking around at each of us at the table. "Alright, let's dig in."

The food was plentiful and everyone had their fill. The rest of the afternoon was spent lazing around on couches and watching football games. At some point I must have fallen asleep because I woke up curled on Edward's lap with the daylight fading outside. Edward started nuzzling my neck when he noticed I was awake.

"Can I show you something?" he whispered in my ear. I nodded and smiled at him. He helped me stand up and led me toward the windows. I looked out the large glass pane and gasped at the scene. It had started to snow and the yard and trees were covered with a layer of fluffy white. It was breathtaking.

"It's beautiful," I said. Edward stood behind me, locking me in an embrace and resting his chin on my shoulder.

"Happy Thanksgiving, Bella." I turned my head toward his and gave him a kiss. We stood there watching the snow fall, and I hoped that it was only the first of many holiday seasons I would spend with my Edward.

AN: I hope you liked the Thanksgiving chapter. Let me know what you thought of the baby names. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Much love to secamimom and Bella'sExecutioner for their help with the names. Check out the stories of both of these great authors!
