A/N: Hey, guys. Remember that drabble way back in the beginning of this fic (number 6, I believe) where Percy bet Annabeth 10 drachmas and 20 bucks that she couldn't get Nico to learn the Barbie Girl song, and she did? Well, this is a new and improved version of Nico's revenge. Please enjoy and review.

This idea came from Asilda.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Nico had originally heard the phrase from Percy, but he'd brushed it aside as one of those weird Percy-sayings. It made no sense, anyway.

But then he heard it again. It was just in passing, one Stoll brother speaking to another, but hearing it twice in under a week made Nico pause to really listen.

The mischievous sons of Hermes were plotting something—something that had to do with the Demeter cabin and alcoholic fertilizer, but they didn't mention the phrase again. So Nico decided to confront them about it.

"What does 'revenge is a dish best served cold' mean?"

The brothers grinned. One of them—Nico was pretty sure it was Travis, but he had neither the effort nor the energy to make sure—stepped forward to answer his question.

"Little death kid," he began, causing Nico to glare at him. "It means the Demeter kids are gonna get so drunk they'll start planting flowers on their heads."

The Stolls laughed and started walking away. Nico just stared at them, even more confused than he'd been before. So Connor turned around and called, "It's an expression, Nico. What do you think it means?" before leaving.

That got Nico thinking. He knew an expression was something people said when they didn't want to say exactly what they were thinking. But what did this one mean?

Then it hit him. And he knew exactly what he had to do.

Annabeth Chase sat down at the Athena table in Camp Half-Blood's dining pavilion and was more than surprised to find a plate of food already at her seat. It was one of her favorite foods, and no one seemed to claim it, so she picked it up, took a big bite…

And almost immediately spit it out. The food was ice cold inside! Shocked, Annabeth looked down at her plate and saw a post-it note stuck to it. She put the cold food down, picked up the note, and read it.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

This is for the Barbie Girl song.

-Nico

Annabeth sighed, shook her head, and muttered, "Oh, Nico."

A/N: So there's that. I hope you liked it. Please review!
