A/N: I am officially a terrible person. I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LATENESS OF THIS UPDATE. Its been like a month. God. How time flies.

Without further ado, I am just going to let you guys get right to the story.

I still lack in the ownership of Young Justice.

HALL OF JUSTICE
December 30, 09:16 EST

"The Justice League was formed for two reasons," Superman powerfully spoke, "First, as an acknowledgement that no single individual, no matter how powerful, can solve all the world's problems alone. And second, to uphold the values of truth, liberty, and justice. That, uh, last on's even in the name." Superman gave a small, sheepish smile as the crowd of reporters snapping photos laughed.

Superman glanced to his left as the camera panned over Doctor Fate, Plastic Man, Atom, and Icon. My smile grew as the camera finally landed on Red Arrow, who was looking as stoic as ever, "These five heroes have sworn to uphold those values."

I smiled up at Wally as he slung his arm around my shoulder as we watched on the large TV, the Justice League induct the newest members.

"I'm glad they didn't kick Billy out," Wally said as he took a bite of his apple. I flinched slightly as some of the apple juice landed on my cheek. Wally smiled down at me sheepishly as I playfully glared at him before he continued, "And I love the fact that there's a ten year old on the League!"

"There is!?" Raquel, AKA Rocket, the protégé of Icon, asked as she turned towards us.

"Ow!" Wally cried out as Robin not so gently elbowed him.

"Way to keep a secret genius." Robin retorted, aiming a glare at the red head.

Wally removed his arm from around my shoulder to rub his now sore ribs as he glared at his best friend, "Hey! She's on the Team now, right?!"

I rolled my eyes as I turned my attention back to the screen. Snorting, I watched as Superman handed the five new members official "League Membership" cards. Why do they even have those?

The camera zoomed in on each of the new members and when the camera was zoomed in on Doctor Fate, Zatanna looked down sadly, to which Robin placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

I almost laughed when Atom almost fell off of Plastic Man's shoulder because the card was bigger than him.

As the Superman shook hands with Icon, Raquel spoke up, "Y'know, I was the one who convinced Icon to be a hero in the first place," She propped her hands on her hips in a very sassy way, "I should be out there celebrating with him! Not hidden away in here!"

Kaldur turned towards her with a small smile, "Welcome to our world."

"Well," She drawled out as she checked Kaldur out, "I suppose there's an upside too." Our newest member winked at me as she caught me staring. I smiled back slightly before facing the screen again. Out of my peripherals, I noticed Artemis send a glare Raquel's way. Oh boy.

"Finally, Green Arrow welcomes his former protégé, Speedy, now known as Red Arrow, to this roster of heroes."

"Way to go, Roy!" Wally cheered and once again, his arm wrapped around my shoulders.

"At last he has his wish," Kaldur smiled.

I grinned, "I always knew he'd make it."

"Was there any doubt?" Robin smiled as he turned to face us, "He's the first of us to make it. No one'll call him a sidekick anymore."

"Wait," Raquel interrupted, "Since when is being a sidekick a bad thing? You sidekick's were my inspiration!"

"Well see, six months ago…" Robin started but was interrupted by a beeping noise. He looked down at his watch and pressed a button and a little hologram appeared. Robin smirked at the hologram before he looked back up at us, "Trip to the Smokey Mountains anyone?"

SMOKEY MOUNTAINS
December 30, 10:48 EST

"Are-are you sure it's her? I mean, are you absolutely positive?" Artemis asked nervously as we flew through the snowy mountains.

"See for yourself," Robin answered, pulling up multiple screens, "This is the security footage from the Ashville Regional Airport. Facial recognition confirms that's Jade Nguyen, but you've seen her without her mask. What do you think?"

"It's Jade," Artemis replied as she glanced down, "Cheshire."

"Agreed," Aqualad spoke up, "But focus on what she carries," The screen zoomed in on the case Jade was carrying, "Is that the case you saw in New Orleans? That one that got away?"

"Yes," Artemis quickly answered.

"Okay," Rocket jumped in, "I'm guessing from the mug shot that Cheshire's the bad guy, but what's so important about that case?"

"Remember the Injustice League?" Robin asked.

"And their giant evil plants, uh yeah."

"The Team and the League put them in prison," I explained as I spun in my seat to look at Rocket.

"But their allies still scheme," Aqualad continued on, "And whatever is in that containment case seems important to their plans."

"We had a chance to grab it in New Orleans," Kid Flash shifted his gaze to glare at a certain archer, "But someone screwed up."

The duo glared at each other until I hissed, "Cut it out." They quickly averted their gazes so they were both staring out the window.

"Approaching Cheshire's jet," Miss Martian reported before she let out a gasp. There on the ground below us was Cheshire's jet, but it was almost completely decimated, "Looks like there were no survivors."

"Find anything?" Kid Flash asked as I scrounged through the wreckage.

"Nothing," I shook my head before I stood up and walked over towards KF.

"Come on," He grabbed my hand, "Let's see if the others had better luck."

I nodded my head and together we trudged over towards the others. They didn't seem to be having better luck than we did because none of them had found anything either.

"How come Homeland Security and the NTSB aren't all over this?" Kid Flash called out as he kicked a broken wing.

"Cheshire's identity was a League alert," Robin explained as he examined what looked a broken box, "Authorities didn't pick it up and the jet didn't follow its flight plan. Flew under the radar, literally, but the Watchtower auto tracked the jet and recorded the crash."

"Then why isn't the League here?" Rocket asked.

"Because our Boy Wonder has some mighty hacking skills and arranged to get the first," Zatanna said as she smiled over at said Wonder Boy.

"And because Cheshire and that case represent our unfinished business," Aqualad added.

From behind Aqualad, there was a loud crash as Superboy tossed a broken wing aside, "Where are the bodies?"

"He has a point," I glanced over at our leader, "I didn't see a single one while digging through the wreckage."

Aqualad narrowed his eyes and was about to say something until another voice spoke up.

"Here's one," I looked up to see Cheshire, in full uniform, standing on the ledge with the case, "And it is stunning."

"Somebody loves herself a bit too much," I muttered to no one in particular.

"I am flora, not fauna. I am foliage, not trees. What am I?" I whirled around to see The Riddler, along with Mammoth and Shimmer, smiling down at us. With a snap of his fingers, weird spikes came out of the ground and casted a glowing, light green barrier around us, "Come on! You can get this. I am shrubbery, not grass. What am I? I…"

"Ambush." Robin answered as he glared up at the villain.

Not only were we surrounded by Mammoth, Shimmer, Riddler and Cheshire, but there were also the dozens of mercenaries they brought with them. The point is, we were out numbered.

"Didn't you think we'd be tipped you were on Cheshire's tail? We're tired of your interference kiddies. This is the endgame ordered from above and executed by their master strategist, moi."

'Miss Martian, is everyone linked?' Aqualad asked.

'Yes.' Miss Martian answered.

'Go.' Aqualad ordered and I sprang into action. I flipped over a mercenary as he charged at me before throwing him into another one.

"Ekahs siht ebolgwons!" I heard Zatanna shout from behind me before snow began to fly around in a flurry, making it hard to see, but I knew I could manage.

'Superboy! The pylons!' Aqualad ordered as he kicked a mercenary who was sneaking up on me away. I nodded my thanks towards him before sprinting off.

Spinning around, I gave a nice roundhouse kick to one of the goons and ducked down as Robin came flying over me, tackling another goon.

"Falcon, maneuver seven!" Robin called out just as I sent an uppercut to a goons jaw. I turned around as Robin held out his hands in front of him. I took off towards him before placing my feet in his hands. With a grunt, Robin sent me flying upwards.

I jutted my foot out and caught a goon in the face, effectively knocking him out. I cried out as a goon managed to land a punch on my stomach. Glaring at the goon, I stumbled backwards until my back was pressed against the cold, stone wall. The goon stalked towards me before he aimed a punch at my head. I ducked down and smirked as I heard a loud crack as his fist made contact with the rock wall. Swiping my foot out, I knocked the goon off the short ledge we were on.

'SB you're-you're flying!' I heard Robin exclaim in my head. I looked up and true to his word, Superboy was flying. He was also holding Mammoth tightly by the hair. With a loud growl, Superboy threw Mammoth upwards, causing the creature to crash into the barrier before falling back down.

I held my arms up in front of my face as pieces of rock and debris flew my way as Superboy, using laser beams, pushed Mammoth around. I blinked. Since when did Superboy have laser beams coming out of his eyes?

I stumbled slightly as the Earth shook as Superboy took no mercy in punching Mammoth. It soon got to the point that the top of the mountain began to crack.

Determining that it was best for me to get out of there, I flipped off the ledge I was on, yelling in my head, 'Artemis! Above you!'

The archer looked upwards as a mass of rocks and rubble fell towards her but before she could do anything, Cheshire tackled her out of the way. I paused slightly, curious as to why a villain would save Artemis, but chose to ignore it. I was just grateful my friend was alive.

"Falcon, behind you!" I heard Kid Flash exclaim as he raced past me. Whirling around, I rolled out of the way as a red disk landed where I was just at.

I leapt back up onto my feet to attack, but Kid Flash came racing back around and took the goon down. He grinned at me before sweeping me up into his arms and racing us off towards our leader.

Kid Flash set me down just as Aqualad took down the last goon. The blizzard stopped and we all let out a sigh of relief as Artemis walked towards us with the case.

MOUNT JUSTICE
December 30, 15:45 EST

"Tell me if this sounds familiar," Batman began as soon as we were all lined up in front of him, "You hacked League systems, disobeyed protocol, and endangered your lives. And your initiative resulted in the capture of three escaped felons, proving Warden Strange runs Belle Reve as a cover for criminal activity…" A small smile crept onto the Dark Knight's face, "Well done."

My head snapped up as I shared happy glances with my teammates. Batman was actually congratulating us for breaking his rules.

"Then there's this," Batman continued as he stepped towards the open case, "Bio-technology integrated with some form of nano circuitry.

Icon picked up a piece and examined it, "Though I am unfamiliar with this species, the bio component is clearly not of Earth." He set the piece back in the case.

"We'll take it to the Watchtower for further study," Batman said as he closed the case. He turned around and with Red Tornado, stepped into the zeta tube.

"Recognized: Batman: Zero-One, Red Tornado: One-Six."

As the zeta tube transported the Leaguers away, Rocket flew over to her mentor to say congratulations before Icon and Black Canary disappeared into the zetas.

"Recognized: Black Canary: One-Three, Icon: Two-Two."

"You realize we were set up," Robin said as he looked at Aqualad.

"Yes," He agreed, "Cheshire and Riddler were tipped and ready for us."

"Not the mole thing again," Artemis groaned as she pressed her hand to her forehead.

"Mole thing?" Rocket walked back over towards us, confusion evident on her face, "Again?"

I sighed, "We were told that there was a… traitor on the Team."

Superboy gruffly pushed passed me as he angrily spat out, "Mainly Artemis, M'gann or me!"

Aqualad placed a hand on the clone's shoulder, "It is more complicated than that." Superboy scoffed before angrily brushing the Atlantean's hand off his shoulder and walking off, "But your recent behavior does concern me. Your attack on Mammoth nearly got Artemis and Falcon killed."

Superboy stopped walking as he doubled over, clutching his head in pain, "Superboy?" Aqualad called out as Superboy straightened up.

"There's something I need to do," Superboy said, turning towards us, "Something I need to tell you," He glanced down, almost like he was ashamed, "Last month, on Thanksgiving, I went back to Cadmus, found a few things out. When I was cloned, only half the DNA was Superman's. The other half was human. That's why I don't have- will never have full Kryptonian powers."

"You sure?" Robin asked, looking slightly thoughtful, "Cause you seemed to have them today."

"I've been using these," Superboy lifted his shirt sleeve to reveal a blackened patch, "Shields, they suppress my human DNA. I get the flight, the heat vision, but I think I also get angry."

I scoffed and crossed my arms, "Considering your behavior today, angry is an understatement."

"Well, angrier." Superboy corrected, sending me a sheepish smile, "I'm sorry."

Aqualad looked down, thinking about something before he looked back up, "Where did you get those?"

"From my human father," Superboy said as he pulled something out. There was a momentary pause as we waited for him to continue on, "Lex Luthor."

My eyes widened as Robin voice everyone's thoughts, "Lex. Luthor. Is your dad?!"

Superboy's eyes narrowed, "He's summoned me to Santa Prisca."

"Uh…" We all turned to look at our archer, "Superboy's not the only one suffering from bad DNA," She turned around and activated the holo-computer before she pulled up three files. One for Cheshire, Sportsmaster, and Huntress, "My mother is Huntress, an ex-con. The rest of my family isn't even ex… My dad's Sportsmaster and he's sending my sister, Cheshire, to fly me to Santa Prisca too."

"That's why…" Kid Flash realized as he pieced everything together.

"Yeah," Artemis sighed, "I was so desperate to make sure none of you found out."

"I knew," Robin spoke up. Artemis looked at him, shocked, "Hey, I'm a detective. But it never mattered. You aren't your family, you're one of us."

"So," Kid Flash asked as he propped his arm on Artemis' shoulder, "Who's next?" He grinned as he smiled around at us.

"I am," Miss Martian spoke up with her arms wrapped protectively around herself.

Kid Flash's face contorted into one of horror, "I swear I was kidding," He held his hands up in defense.

"Queen Bee's been… blackmailing me." Miss Martian explained as she looked around at us, "She wants me in Santa Prisca too."

"Blackmailing?" I questioned as I stepped toward my Martian friend, "How has she been blackmailing you?" I was utterly befuddled. What could Queen Bee have over someone as innocent as Miss Martian?

"…She knows my… true Martian form." Miss Martian admitted.

"Bald M'gann?" Robin shrugged his shoulders, "Who cares if-"

"No," Miss Martian cut him off with a shake of her head. She let out a heavy sigh before she transformed into this… creature.

Out of shock, I took a slight step backwards, only to bump into Robin. He steadied us both as we stared at Miss Martian. It seemed that only Superboy and Aqualad remained unaffected by her transformation.

'I realized you would never accept me for who I am if you saw what I really am.' Miss Martian's voice rang in my head as the creature wrapped its arms around itself.

Guilt instantly washed through me. All M'gann wanted to do was fit in. To be normal. Every girl was self conscious about what they looked like. We all wanted to fit in with society. And being a Martian, I couldn't even imagine the pain M'gann must be going through.

"M'gann," Aqualad spoke up with a hint of disappointment in his tone, "Did we truly seem so shallow?"

'I couldn't take a chance,' She meekly replied, 'Being a white Martian among the green on Mars, I endured constant rejection. I couldn't face that from-'

"From me?" Superboy cut in as he approached his girlfriend. I felt the mind link cut off as Superboy grasped Miss Martian's hand. The two seemed to have a physic conversation until they stepped apart and Miss Martian shifted back into the Martian form we've all grown accustomed to.

Miss Martian gave us all small smiles, "I feel more comfortable this way." We all nodded our heads in understanding.

"So," Kid Flash cut the silence as he looked around wearily, "No one has any more deep, dark secrets to reveal?"

"I certainly hope not," I chuckled lightly as I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Good," Kid Flash sighed, "That's enough surprises for one day."

SANTA PRISCA
December 30, 18:16 ECT

'Guys, reinforcement time.' Artemis' voice appeared in my head.

Kid Flash and I shared a look as he slipped his goggles on. I climbed onto his back before he raced off as Rocket flew beside us.

We raced into the clearing as the chaos ensued around us. As Rocket flew ahead, she picked up a goon and deposited him in the middle of the forest.

I leapt off of Kid Flash's back and round house kicked a goon in the face as Kid Flash tackled a fair amount of goons.

A gun cocked behind me and I whirled around, bracing myself to take the goon down. Before I had a chance to attack him, Zatanna's voice filled the air. The goon panicked as a large snake wrapped around him before it turned into rope.

I smiled my thanks at her before taking a step back, only to run into something. I jumped slightly before spinning around, poised to attack. A sigh of relief escaped my mouth as I realized it was only Robin. We shared a smirk before we went back to back as more goons surrounded us.

"On three?" Robin called out as he pulled out some birdarangs.

I nodded my head, "On three."

"One," I braced myself to attack, "Two," The goons slowed down their approach as they shook slightly, "Three!" We attacked.

I raced forward and sent an uppercut to the nearest goon. He stumbled backwards before he crashed to the ground, unconscious. I back flipped away as a bullet landed in the ground where I just was. Whirling around, I flipped over to the goon before I struck my foot out. My foot connected with his stomach and he landed on the ground with an oof before I knocked him out.

A goon charged towards me, with a punch aimed at my head. Before the fist collided with my face, I grabbed the arm and flipped him over my shoulder, right into the other goon. They either were both knocked unconscious, or had the right mind to stay down because they didn't get back up.

Robin walked towards me and we shared a high five as we studied our handy work, that was, until Bane tackled us.

I groaned as my back made contact with the cool earth as we skidded against the ground. My back began to sting as the skin off my lower back was peeled off. This is what I get for making "smart" uniform choices.

Bane stood up and towered over us as I rubbed my head, "Adios, niños." He smirked down at us. Robin and I rolled out of the way just as Bane's overly sized fists landed where we had just been.

I landed in a crouch off to the side as Robin did the same opposite of me. We shared a glance before we attacked. I leapt into the air as Bane's fist narrowly missed me. My foot connected with his head before I flipped over him. Robin and I simultaneously attacked Bane but it didn't seem to do much.

A cry escaped my lips as Bane backhanded Robin and me away. There was a loud clang as our backs made contact with a helicopter. We both quickly jumped back up as we raced towards him, not ready to give up.

"Etaerc Nibor dna NoclaF snoisulli!" Zatanna's voice rang out and I let a laugh escape my lips as I took in all of the copies of Robin and me that appeared from smoke.

"Gotta love," A Robin called as we charged Bane, "An army," Another continued, "Of me!" The real Robin most likely called out.

In obvious distraughtness, Bane began sending out punches left and right, hoping to catch the real us. Each time he hit an illusion, they disappeared before finally it was only the real us left, but by then, it was too late.

We flipped over Bane and as I was upside down, pulled out a knife and cut his venom tube. He cried out as the venom flow was cut off. Before he had a chance to do anything, Robin shot a wire at the back of Bane's head, and as soon it was connected, electricity flowed through it. The villain fell to the ground unconscious with a loud thud.

I let out a sigh of relief as I stood up straight, only to flinch as I stretched out the torn skin on my back. Robin took notice as he stepped towards me.

"Yeesh, Fal," He commented as he checked out my back, "That looks bad."

"Great," I groaned.

Robin gave me a small smile before he jutted his head, "Let's regroup with the others."

"Sounds good,"

We made our way towards the others, stopping for a moment to help Zatanna up; the girl looked exhausted, before we continued on our way.

"It is always like this!" Rocket exclaimed, still caught up in the moment, as Artemis and Kid Flash joined us.

"Told you so," Zatanna smirked.

"Hey, disaster averted," Robin grinned, "Feeling the aster."

"Agreed," Aqualad looked around at us, smiling proudly, "Today has been a good day."

"Couldn't have said that better," Kid Flash smiled as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder, "Not to mention," He held up Sportmaster's mask, "Look at this cool souvenir!"

I rolled my eyes and kissed his cheek as we all laughed. It felt good to know that there was no mole on the Team.

A/N: I'm sorry this chapter was on the... short side. Felicity had no reason to be at Santa Prisca, so that cut this chapter short.

The next chapter is my last chapter of this story. Holy crap. Where did the time go? Seems like just yesterday I started this story... But look on the bright side, you can see more of Felicity in my other story, "When Lightning Strikes"! So check it out guys!

Anyways, thank you all of my lovely readers/reviewers. I can't tell you how much it has meant to me. You guys are the best. And please, as usual, leave a review! I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts! :D

P.s. I've thought about maybe doing a short story about the five year time gap. I have some ideas for it, but not many. Hence the shortness it would be. I'd love to hear thoughts/ideas about it but just a heads up, the updates would take a bit longer to do because the plot would need to come directly out of my head. Which is always fun.
