I...Erm...

Might as well let you all read, so enjoy~

The days went on, but Severus was still lying in that bed and sleeping as if the world didn't exist around him. Lucius would be doing paperwork sent by the Ministry while Javier taught. When Kin was finished, he'd be on the boy's side and telling him what happened in class. Java would attempt to bite the boy's nose, but he hardly reacted. She tried at least once a day, but no luck. Most of the times, she slept by his side or disappears for an hour or two to who knows where.

Javier still kept his schedule together and went with Remus for the full moon. It was a refreshing state of change and he could tell his child was healing. Remus, as the werewolf, was pleased to have a company. He did not expect it much, but that's how much a change it gave the boy. He was delighted to have someone to play with through the entire night and felt completely safe. The professor noticed a lot of things with being a wolf and realized that Severus was healing rather well. It was unable to know how long it would be.

Severus' roommates made several copies of notes from all the classes, even added in what the homework assignments were. Javier smiled to see Severus having friends to truly count on and rely on was the best people to have around. While he knew what will be of them, but it was only temporarily. He hated what he knew, but there was nothing to be done. Lucius would talk to his lover and the child, about anything to stay strong, and it hasn't been easy.

Minerva would come by when she could and she saw nothing had changed. The medi-witch was aware of his progresses and checked over anything that was important. She knew he was healing in the correct way, but the possibilities to wake up had often scared her. Javier would ask, but she wouldn't answer him or gotten interrupted by the students that needed her.

Lucius noticed the amount of time she put in and considered a few things here and there. He simply did not let his lover be aware of his thoughts. Of course, in a couple of days, he had to attend the meeting and Javier was alright. It was the weekend and he didn't assign homework until Tuesday. Albus joined the time traveler for a turn for a company. He stood and sadden by everything that had went on.

'When is he going to wake up, Albus?" His head shook, "It's almost three weeks and he won't wake up. I tried everything, reading, talking, soothing his hand, fixing his hair, and nothing worked." The tears dripped to his cheeks and fell.

The blue eyes twinkled died slowly, "I know, but you must believe he will be alright, Javier. You must." His hand placed on the man-who-lived's shoulder and squeezed to assure him enough.

The time traveler shrugged the elder off and moved closely to the child. His hands cupped the boy's hand and his thumb soothed the small hand. The headmaster didn't bother attempt to comfort and remained by his side.

"Javier," He softly spoke, "Severus is strong, but you need to be stronger for him. The bond that you both have is unique and he depends on you to keep him safe, protected, wanted, needed, and much more. Let him know that you will continue that."

The savior shook his head, "Don't think I already know that?" He sighed, "I want to be left alone, sir. I refused to leave him alone and don't think of telling me to get some sleep. I'll sleep later."

Albus nodded silently and remained quiet for a moment. He saw Poppy was giving him a look where she was ready to kick him out for pestering the stressful professor. He accepted the warning and left the medi-wing for the day. Javier didn't notice his leaving, but he didn't care. Severus was the only person he had on his mind for the longest time being and no one would change that ever. It made his heart skip.

The healer walked over and stopped at the end of the bed. Her hands folded and seeing the boy breathing on his own well. She did the best she could, but she wondered what went on in his mind during a coma-like state. She wanted to provide a dreamless potion, but something told her not to otherwise. Every day, she was giving him the potions from starvation or healing potions, but other times, she would spell a numbing sensation to ease things over the night.

By the second week, she only fed him and hydrated him well enough to stay stable. It was almost Thursday to count up to three weeks, but she didn't understand why he wouldn't wake up anytime. She went to check on students and anyone that came through.

The defense professor rested his head on bed while holding Severus' hand and tried to stay awake. The hours dragged on, but watching the boy's chest rising up and going down had helped him to know he was breathing. Eventually his eyelids fought to keep open and forced closed in between those times, but his mind wanted to keep a moment to be awake for the young Slytherin.

It became tiring to fight and he gave in. Just hoping the boy would wake up in the morning.

Remus came in during the dinner hour and approached the professor quietly. He could see Severus still sleeping and nothing changed. Javier glanced over to the young werewolf and pondered why he was here, aside from visiting Severus.

"The full moon, sir."

Then, he realized. He could see Remus would be prepared to hear him say no or couldn't do it, but that might show betrayal. He smiled and glanced over to Severus. He squeezed the boy's hand.

"I'll be back, Severus, Madame Promfrey will look after you." He couldn't call Lucius, or he'd be expected to explain.

The young Gryffindor was shock to see he was still having a company for the night. Java picked up her head, noticing the older wizard was leaving and understood naturally. She meowed and Javier smiled. He petted her for a simple thank you.

"You too, girl. Java is watching you too, Severus." He decided to add that in.

Remus waited for his mentor and eventually the supposed Slytherin joined him. They walked out of the medi-wing, which was a different change for scenery. The young charge wasn't certain what to say and kept going to the familiar pathway to the shrieking house. It took them a while, but it was peaceful for a change.

Once heading into the damaged room, they sat down on the floor and waited for the time to prepare the starting night. The professor tried to be positive, but it wasn't helping his case.

"Erm, Javier?" Remus stared at the floor nervously.

The time traveler glanced up, "Hm, yeah?"

"I…erm," His hand soothed his neck, "Severus is sleeping now."

The emerald eyes blinked and stared at the Gryffindor boy, "I know?"

The young werewolf shook his head, "I mean, erm, he's removing out of the coma into the sleeping state. I think," He hummed, "Morning or noon he will finally be wake."

Professor Kin did not expect a thing and he did not realize that much senses were overtaking the Gryffindor so soon. It was not something he heard often or considered to think of their senses. He smiled happily enough to accept and rushed over to hug the boy.

"Merlin! Thank you! Remind me to get you loads of chocolates tomorrow!" He grinned, the news to know it would be alright and when was the case.

Remus smiled, knowing his ability helped, despite the curse he has to put up with for eternity. He enjoyed the hugs where no one would fear him that easily. He hugged back gratefully and took in comforts.

"I just hope he wakes up when I'm there, but merlin! You being a werewolf is awesome!" He smirked, "Never forget that!"

Javier stopped hugging and jumped back. He concentrated quickly and allowed his animagus form took over him. Remus enjoyed seeing the wolf and already feeling the growing pain to inform a beginning of the full moon night. A howling grew louder from the young werewolf. The animagus wolf howled along as he respected the larger wolf as an alpha.

They tackled each other, chased each other's tails, and raced through the forest all night long. The animal within them were living the night as if they could find thrilling for a change. It was the moment to their freedom without a fear and accepting to their true-self. The werewolf often acted like a puppy, which, Javier knew he was a child. A young child, who couldn't find a proper trust in someone, was without the need to fear about a thing. A child, who could count onto someone, that needs someone to be there for him until the end.

The animagus wolf saw that and realized that Remus wanted someone to be there for him. He was glad to fill in those roles until his friends step in for about a few years, maybe less. Javier didn't get the exact timing with his godfather or Remus insight. However, he was always planned to be there whenever the boy needed him the most like today. Remus has become a small family to him.

While leading the creature of the night out of the forest, something was lurking and caught both of the wolves' attention. The werewolf launched after to wherever the sound was after and the animagus wolf dashed after him. The snout alerted him on what he was picking up and realized it was the centaur! They were still qualified 'human' to the werewolf. The hoofs were noticeable against the ground clomping noises to the point it was obvious.

The wolf pounced onto the night creature to slow him down and they wrestled. The young one tried to bite and kick, failed to escape his trap, and squirmed with a loud howling to the moon that was almost over. The noises of their guest was nearby, but Javier didn't want a thing to happen. He could not afford to do so!

His inner wolf self decided to jerk the back leg on the werewolf and –

CRRRRAACK!

The high pitch whines of the howl and whimpered. While Javier felt terrible, but he knew the bones were repairable and replaceable, but the lives weren't. The young creature stopped moving and nurtured his broken leg to ease the pain. The wolf slipped under the werewolf and carried him over to the shrieking house. It was not easy, but he was thankful he wasn't bigger or heavy. It took a while to get out of the forbidden forest and back into the safe house for the last hour. The animagus wolf laid next to the werewolf and helped to ease the pain by elevating it properly.

A soft whimper as a thankful and relieved from pain, he remained still and tried to sleep. Javier was pleased and relaxed that they were safe for the time being.

As the sun rises, the werewolf slowly shifted into a human form and barely registering what was going on. The wolf watched him become Remus once more and sensed it was his cub. He waited until everything was complete to a total transformation.

Once he knew it was over, he carefully set down Remus' broken ankle and reverted to his human. Javier stretched out and saw the boy already awake. He grimaced, but he still smiled at the mentor.

"Sorry," Javier rubbed his neck.

Remus shook his head, "No, thank you. That Centaur would have become food and I would be a murderer."

Javier wanted to argue, but he realized the laws at this time wasn't generally supportive and neither in his' time. He forfeited the comment he wanted to declare and simply shook his head.

"And I won't see it that way. You may be aware, but you can't control it." He knelt down and scooped the boy into his arms, "Let's get you to the medi-wing, she'll fix you up as good as news." He smirked, "Amazing for a Gryffindor to act like a Slytherin," He hummed.

The young Gryffindor grinned, "Yeah. I wonder what others will think of it when you go back to your time. I'd probably be laugh or taking a picture of them."

"I imagined a few good reaction, but Severus? His' might be a completely different reaction or something I wouldn't count on." He shrugged.

Remus nodded and understood him naturally. The young wizard chose to be aware of everything around him, but right now, he wanted to be in his bed. He was thankful for the full moon to land on a Friday! He could sleep in and his friends would leave him alone. After he's awake, he could visit Javier for the day and find out anything else.

"Merlin! Kin, what is it with the students you bring in?" Poppy was not pleased and gestured hurried over to the bed.

Javier grimaced, "Relax, only a broken ankle for a reason."

Her face grew pale, "You didn't hurt him on purpose!"

The werewolf groaned, "Quiet!" His hands clasped around his ears, "Too loud." He muttered.

The defense professor sympathized the boy and he knew what will be next. For now, he set young Lupin onto the bed the witch gestured quickly. Once he was on the bed, Javier pulled out his wand and casted the silencio spell.

"Poppy," She glared at him, "While it is on purpose-" Her eyes widen from his 'confession', yet, he continued on, "-but, it's because Mr. Lupin has lycanthropy and almost went after a centaur."

The healer froze and stared at the defense professor. Now, she eased her glare and understood everything. She took a deep breath and nodded here and there. She pulled a spell and casted the spell to check him over carefully.

"Mr. Lupin, I suggest you come straight here after the full moon. I don't know how you made it through the first year and the two months here." She muttered something else, but no one needed to hear that, "I'll provide you skele-gro after removing the broken bone and pain killer potion afterward." She insisted.

Remus nodded shyly and went along on her orders. She did what she needed to do to heal him properly and it didn't take long. Of course, he knew he'd have to wait a few hours and decided to rest before-

"Remmy!" A cheerful student came running in and nearly crashed onto his bed, "How's the night go?" The frizzy and dark hair was bouncing until he was no longer jumping happily.

Another boy, with a messy hair came in running, but not as quick with a small and well off mousy brown hair boy who was also joining in the race, but panting heavily. Javier noticed they would have known where he was, but he suspected that Lupin might have told them where he would be, if he didn't show up to the dormitory by a certain time. He backed away and let them check on their Gryffindor friend.

"Erm, alright. Just a broken ankle, but nothing Sirius." He sheepishly grinned.

Black slapped the werewolf's arm, "James is influencing you way too much."

James smirked, "Are you Siriusly?"

Peter joined in, nearly breathless, "Hehe, G-good…one." He managed a smile.

Remus saw his friends were truly there for him and couldn't wait to see him. The healer noticed they accepted him naturally and felt happy to know he has loyal friends to count on. She provided him the pain potion and left them be.

Javier turned around and saw the bed empty! His emerald eyes widened and heard someone walking, not far from the distance he looked, and found the dark long hair leading out of the medi-wing. Somehow, he knew he should have been by the bed immediately.

He rushed after the boy and somehow, the young Slytherin disappeared after he passed the doors. Javier mentally swore and wondered why the boy didn't bother asking for someone? He pulled out his wand and did a quick spell nonverbally. Once he did it properly, he took a deep breath and shook his head.

The time traveler frowned, "Why your room? You shouldn't been able to get out of the bed…"

Somehow, there was a lot more than Severus waking up today and he couldn't determine the answer.

A knut for thoughts?
