A week later on Friday night, at exactly nine pm, Alan was sitting on his bed in front of his laptop feeling extremely nervous. He and Eric had been texting every day since his move, and this was going to be their first Skype conversation. Nine in London meant four in New York City, and Alan had been waiting for hours for Eric to get home from school. 9:05 pm, and Alan clicked on the connect icon in front of him. He watched his laptop search and connect to Eric's laptop. Soon, the two best friends were looking at each other yet again. "Hey," Alan nervously said.

"Hi, how are you?" Eric asked. Alan could tell that he had just gotten home from school because he was still unpacking his backpack.

"I'm okay, how's New York?" Alan wondered.

"It's crowded and loud; I really miss you guys, and would give anything to come back home," Eric informed.

"We miss you too, I do especially," Alan replied as he reached his fingers up to touch his screen.

"I think about you all the time Allie, no matter what time of day, you always manage to cross my mind more than once," Eric said as he grinned at the brunette. He watched Alan blush before asking "How is everybody doing?"

"They're good, not much has changed since you left, but I think about you all the time as well," Alan explained.

"So did Fangurl pull any cool April Fool's jokes like she did last year?" Eric wondered.

"Actually, I've got to tell you a funny story about April Fool's Day," Alan said with a smile. Eric leaned closer to the computer with a grin; he knew this was going to be a good story. "Well it all started on Tuesday when Sebastian decided to play a prank on Justin."

*Flashback 3 days ago*

April Fool's Day at Kuroshitsuji High meant one thing; be prepared for anything. This was the day more detention notes were written and suspensions increased dramatically. Only one person got away with every prank; Fangurl. She was extremely careful about how she laid out pranks, and her friends always looked forward to who would be her target each year. Principal Tanaka never could find proof that Fangurl pranked people, and no one ever ratted her out, because they loved that she pranked all the jerks and annoyances of Kuro High.

During lunch, Fangurl was planning out all the ideas that she had for her victims this year, while the rest of her friends went to get food. Justin and Sebastian were standing beside each other in line, when Sebastian eyed the red velvet cake in front of him. Unfortunately, Justin also spotted it and grabbed it. Sebastian then got an idea; he said to the Asian "Justin, if you give me that cake; then I promise to be nice to you for the rest of our contract term."

Justin thought about it for a moment, before saying "Okay." He handed the Demon the cake.

"Ha, April Fool's jackass, now you don't have a nice me or a nice piece of cake," Sebastian laughed as he went to sit down with his red dessert.

The Asian dropped his head at Sebastian's joke. He usually could deal with Sebastian's harsh words, but something about today made them hurt. Going over to Fangurl, Justin asked "Fangurl, can you help me with something?"

"Sure, what is it?" Fangurl wondered.

"I need you to help me prank Sebastian," Justin stated.

Fangurl tore off a blank sheet of paper and asked "What did you have in mind?" Justin grinned before telling her his plan.

Later that afternoon, after school, Fangurl, Ciel, and Sebastian were hanging out in the Phantomhive Manor. "Sebastian you really hurt Justin's feelings, taking his cake like that," Fangurl scolded.

"Have you not witnessed the Hell he's put me through for the past several months? He deserves everything he gets from me," Sebastian defended.

"How are we supposed to keep up the fan base if you keep bullying the mancake?" Fangurl questioned.

"What fan base? And what the fuck is a mancake?" Sebastian asked.

"The mancake is the youngest member in a group. Like in Super Junior, Kyuhyun is the mancake, and a very delicious looking one too," Fangurl explained.

"That's pronounced maknae, Fangurl," Ciel corrected.

"Oh, well mancake sounded yummier," Fangurl said. "Anyways how are we going to keep a strong fan base if you keep bullying him?"

"What fan base?" Sebastian repeated.

"Uh, never mind," Fangurl said. "You really need to be nice to him, and prove to him that you will protect him when he's scared."

Sighing Sebastian asked "How am I going to do that?"

"Okay, there's an old abandoned house near the community lines of the Shinigami and Human Realms. I bet if you and Justin stay there, and you protect him when he's scared, then he'll see that you do care about him," Fangurl explained.

"Only if you guys promise to come with me," Sebastian responded.

"Fine," Ciel agreed.

"Can the Shinigamis join us?" Fangurl requested.

"Sure, they can come," Sebastian confirmed.

"Awesome, go home and pack a bag for tonight and we'll head out," Fangurl said.

"Fangurl, have you forgotten that we have school tomorrow?" Ciel reminded.

"Why can't we just play hooky for one day?" Fangurl asked.

"We could do that, but don't you think Madam Red will notice since our friend group takes up most of the class?" Ciel added.

"I could care less what she notices. Honestly the less we have to be around those Vampire freaks, Angela, and Trancy, the better," Fangurl replied. "Do what you want, but we're doing it tonight, and if you go to school tomorrow that's your problem, not mine."

A couple of hours later, the group all met up at the abandoned house a few blocks away from the Phantomhive Manor. Ronald, Grell, William, and Alan walked in from towards the Shinigami Realm, while Sebastian, Justin, Ciel, and Fangurl came from the Human Realm. "So you guys are okay with doing this?" Ciel asked.

"Yep, and if we stay all night, we're skipping school tomorrow," Ronald said.

Sighing, Sebastian asked "Is everyone ready to go inside?"

"No, it looks creepy," Grell replied as she looked up at the house and hid behind William.

"Grell, it's not like the house is haunted," Sebastian reminded.

The friends walked up onto the porch of the abandoned manor, and peered inside. It was extremely dark inside, even though it was still daylight out. "Please tell me we brought flashlights," Fangurl said.

Everyone pulled out one to confirm Fangurl's question. "So what are the terms of how long we can stay here?" William asked.

"We have to stay at least til seven tomorrow morning," Fangurl replied. "If you leave before that, then you will forever be taunted by me."

"Here we go," Sebastian said as he opened up the door. It creaked open and revealed pure darkness to the friends.

"Who wants to go in first?" Alan asked.

"I vote we push the Asian in first," Sebastian muttered.

"C'mon, we'll all walk in together," Fangurl stated.

Slowly moving, the group stood close to one another and walked inside, shining their flashlights everywhere. "Can we try and find a light switch or something?" Ciel recommended.

Everyone started feeling around on the wall for some kind of switch, when Grell found a small string. "Fangurl, does this look like one of those strings on fans that we can pull to turn on a light?" she asked.

Shining her light on the string, Fangurl said "Yeah, I think it is."

"Awesome," Grell replied before pulling the string, hoping that light would turn on.

Instead of light, when Grell pulled the string, a body fell from the ceiling above. At the sudden shock of seeing it, Grell and Fangurl screamed and held onto each other. "What happened?" Sebastian called. The girls pointed to the skeleton on the floor. "That freaks you out? There are scarier things in this house than that."

"Hey guys, I found a light in this room," Justin said as he entered the room they were in.

"See, does this not terrify you?" Sebastian asked, pointing to the Asian.

"Sebastian we came here so you could learn not to be rude to Justin," Fangurl reminded.

"Well it's rude to lie, so I told you the truth," Sebastian defended before they followed Justin to the lit room.

"Okay, we're okay, just as long as we don't touch anything else," Grell figured as she kept her distance from the dusty items.

"So what should we do?" Ciel asked. "We've got like twelve hours to do whatever we want so what should we do to pass the time?"

"I've got some cards we can play with if you guys wanna play a card game," Justin suggested as he pulled a deck of cards out of his backpack.

"We can play the seductive card game," Fangurl offered.

"What's the seductive card game?" Alan asked.

"It's a game I saw Super Junior play on YouTube, let me see some cards and I'll demonstrate," Fangurl said.

Justin handed Fangurl the cards, and the girl took a couple out of the box. She placed the card on her lips and began to suck. Turning to Ronald, she pressed the other side of the card against his lips. He knew what to do already because they'd played it before, so Ronald began to suck the card against his lips. Fangurl pulled away and now the card was stuck to Ronald's lips. "See, it's simple," Fangurl stated.

"So pretty much, we kiss them, but with cards between our lips," Sebastian figured.

"Exactly; we play in teams, and whoever does gets the most cards wins; you guys wanna play?" Fangurl asked.

"Yeah sure," everyone agreed.

"Okay, everyone split up into teams and start playing. We'll time it for two minutes and whichever team gets the most cards, wins," Fangurl reminded.

Reluctantly, Sebastian was once again paired up with Justin for another game. Sebastian picked up a card and took a breath before sucking the card against his lips. He closed his eyes as Justin pressed his lips against the other end of the card. Justin sucked in but couldn't get the card to stick. They both pulled away to breathe and the card floated down to the ground. "Let's try it again," Justin suggested. Sebastian picked up the card and once more sucked it to his lips.

By this time, the other teams had finished, so they were cheering on Sebastian and Justin to get one card finished for their team. "C'mon, guys you can do it," Fangurl encouraged.

"Maybe this will help," Justin figured before he placed his lips against the card once more and pulled Sebastian's head closer to him where they were "kissing" harder with the card.

Sebastian felt his face heat up with embarrassment as he was literally millimeters away from being lip locked with this Asian. Justin finally got the card sucked onto his lips and pulled away from Sebastian. Their friends applauded and Sebastian fell back onto the dusty floor. "That was the most traumatizing experience of my life," he muttered before sitting up.

"And just think, that was only round one," Fangurl reminded.

"Oh fuck that, I'm not playing anymore rounds of this game, can we do something else?" Sebastian asked.

"We could tell scary stories since it got dark out," Ronald suggested.

"Yeah I like that idea Ronnie," Fangurl agreed

Everyone sat down in a circle as Sebastian volunteered to tell the first story. Several minutes later he was just about to finish, and had everyone all huddled up together. "So then, he wandered around aimlessly in the pitch black darkness, searching for anything to help him, when he heard this sound," Sebastian said before making a scratching noise on the wall.

Fangurl and Grell jumped at the noise. "Ronnie, this is freaky," she whispered to her boyfriend before he wrapped his arms around her.

"Will, I'm scared," Grell whined before trying to hold onto the stoic Shinigami.

"Sutcliff, if you hold onto me, I'll be scared," William replied.

"He didn't know where the sound was coming from or from what," Sebastian continued. "So he kept walking, but the scratching got louder. He heard a scream 'Where's my baby!?' which sent chills all through him. Luckily, the man found a light switch and flipped it on. He turned around to see –"

Before Sebastian could continue, a bell rang out. Grell and Fangurl screamed and held onto Ronald and William. "What in the world was that?" Alan questioned as he hid himself inside Eric's jacket.

"It came from the front of the house," Sebastian said. "Let's go see what it is."

The friends slowly got their flashlights and walked to the front of the house where it was still dark. The bell rang out again, which caused them all to jump. "I think it's coming from the front porch," Fangurl whispered.

The group braced themselves for anything as Sebastian slowly reached out and opened up the front door. There was a man standing on the front porch, holding a box. "Hi, I have an order for a Justin. Two large pepperoni pizzas with extra cheese," the man stated.

Sebastian turned to glare at the Asian. "Oh yeah, sorry I forgot to tell you guys, but I ordered pizza for dinner," Justin said before paying the delivery man and taking the food.

"A head's up would've been nice," Fangurl replied. "But all is forgiven since it's pepperoni."

The friends started to dive in and devour their dinner. After they finished, Fangurl asked "What do you guys want to do now?"

"Well you guys decide, I've got to go outside and relieve myself really quick," Justin said before walking out back.

"Why does he do that? Embarrass the hell out of me?" Sebastian muttered.

"Aww you actually feel things for him," Fangurl mocked.

"Shut up, he's a pain in the ass," Sebastian replied.

"Yes, but he's your pain in the ass," Fangurl reminded as she placed a hand on the Demon's shoulder.

Suddenly, the friends heard a yell coming from out back. Fangurl jumped up in Sebastian's arms. "What the fuck was that?" she demanded.

"That better be sweat running down your leg Fangurl," Sebastian lowly said.

"You wish it was," Fangurl responded as she shook. Sebastian dropped the girl to the floor and wiped his hands on his pants.

"You think Justin's okay?" Ciel wondered.

The friends grabbed their flashlights and ran to the back yard where Justin was. Shining their lights all over the yard, the group couldn't find Justin anywhere. "Justin!" Fangurl called.

"Fangurl, don't yell so loudly, it's freaking me out," Alan requested as he hid behind her.

"Justin's gone," Fangurl said to Sebastian. "There's no sign of him."

"That's a lie, he's gotta be here somewhere," Sebastian stated as he started looking around more. "Justin, c'mon out."

The Asian never walked out to reveal himself. "See I told you he's gone," Fangurl said.

"I'm sure he went somewhere in the house, if we look around I bet we'll find him," Sebastian guessed.

The friends took their flashlights and walked back inside. "He may have gone upstairs, let's look up there first," Ciel figured.

Clutching their flashlights closely, the friends began to climb the dusty staircase. The creaking floorboards sent chills up and down the friends' spines. "Guys wait a second, I left Eric's jacket downstairs," Alan said before he walked back downstairs to the lit room they stayed in.

Suddenly, there was another yell, which caused the friends to rush back downstairs. "Alan?" Fangurl called when they hurried inside the room.

But the brunette Shinigami was nowhere to be found. "Great, now Justin and Alan are missing," Grell said.

"They've gotta be somewhere, two people can't just vanish," Sebastian responded.

"Then where are they Sebastian?" Fangurl asked.

"I don't know, but we'll find them," Sebastian promised. "Okay, I'll take Ciel, Ronald, and William upstairs with me; Grell and Fangurl, you girls stay down here and look around."

"Dude, this is not Scooby Doo, the fuck we are splitting up," Fangurl responded. "We are staying together."

"Fine, let's go upstairs and look around," Sebastian agreed.

The group walked upstairs and found a dark corridor. Shining their flashlights down the hall, Fangurl asked "So who wants to go down the hallway of death first?"

"We'll all go together," Ciel stated before they slowly started down the hall.

"This is fucking creepy," Fangurl whispered to Grell as she shined her flashlight up against cobwebs and rotted doorways.

"Yeah, it is," Grell agreed.

"Okay, there are several rooms down this hallway, so everyone pick out a room and look for Alan and Justin," Sebastian informed. "If you find them, let us know."

Fangurl opened up a door and looked around inside the bedroom. "Alan, Justin, you guys in here?" she quietly called. Fangurl heard soft footsteps behind her, and light scratching sounds. Turning slowly, Fangurl looked behind her and screamed loudly.

Sebastian, Ciel, Grell, Ronald, and William ran into the room Fangurl was in and only found her flashlight on the floor, still turned on. "Where did she go?" Ronald demanded. "Where's my girlfriend?"

"I don't know, this is getting scary though," Ciel said.

Ronald grabbed her fallen flashlight and rushed out into the hallway, and began running down the corridor, yelling "Fangurl, where are you?!"

Before the others made it into the hallway, they heard Ronald scream loudly. "Oh God no," Grell muttered as they rushed down the corridor. The two found both Ronald and Fangurl's flashlights lying in the hallway, and no sign of Ronald.

"Can we please just say that this house is haunted, and that we're all going to die?" Grell requested as she held onto William.

"Grell, it's not haunted," Ciel replied. "Right Sebastian?"

"Yeah," Sebastian answered with a nervous tone. With his friends disappearing one by one, it was hard to believe anything at this point.

"Okay, William, take Grell and keep searching up here. I'll take Ciel and look downstairs," Sebastian instructed. William nodded before allowing Grell to take his hand and let him lead her downstairs.

"What do you think is happening to our friends?" Ciel questioned as he and Sebastian continued down the corridor.

"I don't know, I can't explain this, but when they vanish, there's no trace of them, almost as if they're just turning into thin air," Sebastian said.

"Do you know anything about what happened to the people who lived here before it became abandoned?" Ciel wondered.

"No, there's a really bad aura in this place though," Sebastian stated. "And I'm a Demon, so that's gotta tell you something."

Sebastian and Ciel whipped around quickly when they heard Grell scream loudly and something smash against the ground. The two friends ran downstairs and found the lights had gone out in the room their stuff was in; vases were smashed into pieces, and Grell and William's flashlights on the ground. "Grell, William; you guys anywhere near?" Ciel called.

There were knocking sounds coming from a door near the living room. Walking over to it, Sebastian opened the door and shined his flashlight to see stairs. "It leads to a basement," Sebastian said.

"Let me go check it out, maybe they're down there," Ciel responded.

He gripped his flashlight and began to walk downstairs slowly. "Do you see anything?" Sebastian called.

"Not yet, hang on a second," Ciel replied.

A few seconds later, Sebastian repeated "How about now; do you see anything?" This time, Ciel didn't respond. "Ciel, is everything okay?" Now Sebastian was getting nervous. He hurried downstairs to look for his friend. No way was he going to let another friend get taken by whatever was stalking them in this house. "Alright you son of a bitch, get out here and fight me. You think you can take my friends and not think I get pissed off by it? Well think again; give me back my friends!"

Suddenly, something rolled to Sebastian's feet; a small circle box. Inside was Justin's wallet. "What did you do to him; where is he. And where are the others?! I swear you motherfucker, if you hurt him I will kill you. If anyone's going to take his soul, it'll be me, not you!"

The scratching on the walls began again, as Sebastian turned everywhere. "You think I'm scared of you?! That Asian is mine and no one else's, got it?!"

At that moment, the lights turned on, and Fangurl, Ronald, Justin, Grell, Alan, William, and Ciel walked out of the shadows. "April Fool's Sebastian," Justin stated before everyone except the Demon started laughing.

"What just happened?" Sebastian questioned.

"Justin wanted to pull an April Fool's prank on you and ultimately get you to agree that you truly have friendship for him. We all planned this out earlier; Justin and the Shinigamis came over right after school and set up all these trap doors that could silently bring everyone down to the basement and make it look like we vanished. William turned off the fuse box so the lights wouldn't work in every room but the living room. The cobwebs and the fact that it was abandoned, just added to the haunted look," Fangurl explained. "However, we didn't plant the body Grell and I found in the front of the house, that was really here."

"So this was all to make me admit that I care about that Asian?" Sebastian asked.

"Yep, we wanted you to admit that you truly care about him, and that you did, so justice for our friend has been served," Fangurl stated as she wrapped an arm around Justin's shoulder.

Justin walked up to Sebastian and hugged him. "I'm yours and no one else's," Justin muttered. Sebastian's face turned red with anger and embarrassment.

"I said that, didn't I?" Sebastian lowly said to himself as his friends smiled at him.

*End Flashback*

"No way, Fangurl did that?" Eric asked as he laughed.

"Yeah, she helped Justin make Sebastian admit that he truly cares about their friendship," Alan confirmed.

"Typical Fangurl, making elaborate plans to get justice for friends," Eric said with a smile.

"Yeah it was a lot of fun, I did kinda get scared though," Alan replied. "If you were here, I probably wouldn't have."

"I miss you a lot, but I promise you that I think about you every day," Eric reminded as he leaned closer to the web cam.

"I know, and I miss you and think about you every chance I get," Alan responded as he touched his screen.

"Alan, I have something to ask," Eric said.

"Okay," Alan agreed.

"Do you know why I gave you my jacket before I left?" the blonde Shinigami wondered.

"To keep as a memory of you?" Alan guessed.

"It's because that's what good boyfriends do," Eric replied.

Alan felt his heart pound faster. "Eric, are you saying –" he started.

"Alan Humphries, when I come back to England, I want us to be in an official relationship. I want everyone to know, no more hiding, no more secrets, I want us to be together, because I love you," Eric stated. The brunette Shinigami covered his mouth as he started to tear up. "So Alan, will you be my boyfriend?"

"Yes, I will," Alan agreed. He picked up his laptop and hugged the screen before pressing his face against the screen. "I love you Eric."

"I love you too Alan. Well, I gotta go eat dinner and do some homework, so I'll let you get to sleep. I'll talk to you later," Eric said.

"Okay, I love you, good night," Alan replied.

"Good night love," Eric answered with a smile before disconnecting their Skype lines.

Alan closed his laptop lid and snuggled up with his best friend's jacket. "I'm ready for you to come home now," he whispered as he inhaled the scent of the jacket before falling asleep.
