"I don't know how much longer I can hide this," Darcy said, as Sam drove away from the doctor's office. "Either someone's going to make a "you gained a lot of weight" comment, or Sookie's gonna slip up and spill the beans."

After their twenty week scan, Darcy was signed off with a clean bill of health; along with their baby. Deciding to forgo knowing the gender beforehand, they were pleased to hear a healthy heartbeat and find that their baby was growing as expected.

"Just get a lot of rest, eat healthy and keep the stress level down," Aubrey said, as she printed off another set of sonogram pictures.

"Well, we could always tell everyone around the holidays," Sam shrugged.

Darcy shrugged. "I'm nervous about telling them," she admitted. "I mean, granted we're both healthy. But.. I was also healthy too before… with Mason."

Sam reached out and took her hand into his; glancing over at her quickly, before turning his eyes back to the road before them. "This time it seems different though," he said. "This time last year, you were always sleepin' and everythin' hurt. Now? You've got more energy than me, when it comes to risin' at the crack of dawn."

"You're just happy that my sex drive went through the roof," Darcy scoffed, which made Sam snicker. "Don't expect it to last that much longer, Sammy. Once I become a butterball turkey, I won't be able to do half the shit I do in bed now…"

"Yeah, yeah," he teased, as they reached the major shopping center in town. "I'll believe it when I see it.."

Later that day, after running errands and having a quick lunch, Sam brought Darcy home before heading to work for the night.

"Maybe I'll sneak out early," he said, as they stood on the front steps of the house.

"You'll try and end up stayin' til two in the morning," she sighed, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Don't' rush home, Sam. God forbid you get in an accident…"

He nodded, "Alright," he said. "Now, if you start decorating for Christmas, I don't want you climbin' on anythin'. Leave all the crazy stuff for me to do tomorrow…"

"I wasn't going to decorate tonight," Darcy snorted. "I'm saving all the boxes for you, just so I can sit back and oogle you lifting everything."

"And that's different from every other thing I do around the house?" he teased. "I saw you eyein' me the other day, when I worked out back.."

Darcy blushed, "I can't help that I have a very sexy husband, " she shrugged. "Maybe if you didn't make everything look so sexy, I wouldn't force you to do things around the house.."

Shaking his head, Sam leaned in for a kiss. "Just… be good," he said, as she relaxed against him. "And if you need me, call the bar. I'll come home straight away. No matter what the reason is.."

"Of course you would," she giggled. "Tell everyone I said "hi" and that I miss them greatly. Especially Lafayette's cooking."

"Maybe tomorrow you can come to the bar," he offered. "If you get tired, you can crash in the trailer."

She shrugged, "Maybe," she sighed. "Okay, you better get going, if you wanna make it in time for the first round of the dinner rush."

Stealing another kiss, Sam made his way down the steps and across the lawn to the truck. "I love you!" Darcy called out, waving to him.

The engine rumbled, as Sam leaned out the window. "I love you, too!" he yelled out, before backing out of the driveway.

Honking twice, Sam drove off in the direction of the bar, while Darcy stepped back into the house; shutting and locking the door behind her. Turning around, Darcy looked at Rhett and sighed.

"You ready to watch some TV, boy?" she asked, as the collie started wagging his tail. "Let's get you a cookie and you can come lay on the couch with Mama!"

…..

"Sam, if you wanna go hang with your friends, you don't need my permission," Darcy said, a few days later. "I'm a big girl. I can handle spending a few hours away from you, ya know."

He shrugged, "I know, but things are a bit different now," he said, watching as she put away the clean dishes. "I oughta be more careful now with shiftin'. Especially since we have a baby comin' in a few months.."

Setting the baking dish on the counter, Darcy made her way over to him. "Go," she said, leaning up to kiss him. "You haven't hung out with Luna and the others in a long time. I get you every night and every day, driving you crazy with my overly intense sex drive and weird cravings. Go out, have dinner and shift into a bird or something."

"You're very calm about this…"

"Because I know you're not out there, cheating on me," Darcy shrugged. "You'd be pretty fucking dumb to do that, considering all of Bon Temps would slaughter you, if you ever did."

Sam snorted, "That's true," he nodded. "Alright, I'll go for a little while. "

Darcy smiled, "Good," she nodded. "If I get bored or lonely, I can always have Jess come by for a while. She's been going to that vampire bar a lot lately…"

"As long as she doesn't drag you along with her," Sam warned. "That's the last place I'd ever want you to go to…"

"I would never," Darcy gasped, scandalized. "You have to dress in really skimpy clothing and I save that for the bedroom."

"That you do," Sam nodded, as he leaned against the counter; his arms wrapped tightly around her waist. "Though, I prefer you with nothin' on…"

Giggling, Darcy threaded her fingers through his hair, pulling him down for another kiss. "How about we go now…" she whispered, as they pulled apart. "Hm? I could take my clothes off. You could take your clothes off…."

"Make it as my way of sayin' thank you?" Sam teased, pushing them both away from the counter. "I guess I could do all that.."

Darcy squealed, as Sam swept her up bridal style, carrying her out of the kitchen and down the hallway towards their bedroom.
