Madianna- Well, the girls are just as important in this story! Just like in TWQ! Warwick's very concerned for everyone. It's been very tospsy-turvy in Middleham lately! Yes, Sigyn is Loki's future wife. His second wife, and the one he loves the most. She's the Goddess of Fidelity (loyalty). She sticks by Loki's side, no matter what happens.

YorkistGirl- What's Quija? And yes, the rope is tightening!

ComedyMonarchy- Loki is a very complex character. Blame Odin for that!

Bob The Cat- I hate it when people do that! Especially when the story's really interesting! Thank you for your support!

Thank you all for your support, and I'm sorry you've had to wait over a MONTH to see the next chapter! It's extra long! Almost nine pages!I hope you all enjoy it!

Outside the burning prison once again, Loki hid from view. He thought hard and deeply for a moment, and watched as his body disappeared. Good. Now he was invisible. He chanted another spell, and out of his hands, water poured onto the floor. He positioned his hands and aimed them at the prison, continuing to chant. Water flew upwards from his hands, and soon, a large bubble like shape hovered above the quickly disintegrating remains of the police station. Loki let the water go with a flick of his hands, and the crisp sound of the fire being put out entered his ears. The fire slowly started to flicker out, and Loki created another shape. This time, it was in the shape of a wave, and flicking a hand, he sent it towards the building. The wave devoured the building for a moment, and the rest of the fires withered and died. The youngest son of Odin thought hard again, and his body became solid again. Loki had been learning how to do his magic telepathically, and he was becoming quite good at it. It was easier than chanting a spell- he was often disturbed by Thor barging into his room when he was trying to practice- because that way, he could control it easier. He could use his own will power to do what he liked. If he was attacked, then he'd only had to think to get to safety, not mutter. If he was stabbed, or anything like that, then he would be cut off in mid sentence, and he'd be doomed. This way, though, he didn't have to say anything- just one thought alone would get him to safety.

It was much better to have more brains than brawn. Unlike Thor.

Thor…

He was about to head inside, now that the flames were out, when someone rushed past him. "Oh, no!" he chuckled. "No, no, no, you don't!"

He grabbed an arm and pulled them back. "You can't go in. Too dangerous."

"It's too dangerous for you, too," the hooded figure argued, eyes defiant and determined."

"I have to go in there alone," Loki said.

"Why? So you can be a hero?"

Loki's eyes went serious and cold. "Yes…"

He spun around, his long black hair swishing in the cold air like a cape. He started to run towards what was left of a door, when there was a large explosion from the west side of the building.

"LOKI!"

The figure pulled off their hood, and Sigyn watched as Loki waved a hand.

"I'm okay!"

Rubble collapsed on him.

"I'm still okay!"

Sigyn ran towards the building. She saw Loki's hand sticking out of the rubble, grabbed it, and pulled. Loki came free with ease, and his eyes shone with an unknown zest rarely ever seen in his eyes.

"How peculiar!" he marvelled.

Then the zest disappeared, and his eyes narrowed.

"Could you see anyone in there?" Sigyn asked.

"I thought I saw someone," Loki replied. He turned and lifted up the rubble, where another hand stuck out, and moved it aside. Being a God was such fun!

Loki bent down to inspect the figure.

"Who is it?"

"I think it's Clarence…"

"Can you get him out?"

"Of course."

Loki placed his hands on Clarence. A blue glow grew and started to travel through the body. Sigyn watched amazed.

"What are you doing to him?" she asked.

"Why, healing him, of course!"

"Here? Now?"

"It'll be too dangerous to move him if I don't heal some of his wounds."

After a few minutes, Loki stopped his healing process. He picked up the unconscious teen and headed for the opening in which he'd entered. Just as he walked out, Isabel, Anne, Hermia, Kate and Juliet came running up, followed by a large, growing, crowd of people.

"How did you get the flames out?" Kate asked.

"Water," Loki replied.

"But it's dangerous in there!" Anne protested.

"I know!" Loki rolled his eyes. "Great observation!"

"Who's that?" Hermia pointed to the still figure in Loki's arms.

The black-haired, green-eyed male looked down at the figure, then back up again.

"Clarence," he said. He thrust him towards Isabel. "Here's your boyfriend, dear."

Isabel gasped. "Place him on the ground!" she insisted. Loki did.

As Isabel fawned over Clarence's body, tears streaming down her face of sadness and relief, Loki turned to Sigyn.

"I'm off back in there."

"Who is it?" Anne asked urgently as Loki came out with another body.

"I think it's Val," he said.

Though no one fawned over Val like Isabel was with Clarence, the girls were still concerned over the fact that he didn't appear to be breathing. Before anyone could complain, Loki ran back in again.

About five minutes later, he came out, carrying another body.

"It's Geoff!" Anne yelled.

He wasn't breathing either.

As Geoffrey was placed on the ground next to the others- and also fawned over- Loki stared coldly at them all.

"None of them are breathing," he said. "Has an ambulance been called?"

Anne nodded. "It was called when Clarence came out."

"Then it should be here soon."

He stared at the unconscious bodies of Thor's friends- yes; Thor's friends- and turned away. He stepped forward to go back for the last remaining two when he was stopped with a hand on his arm.

"You can't go back in again."

Loki smirked. "And why not?"

"It's too dangerous for you."

"Too dangerous for me?"

"Loki, you're not thinking straight."

"I have to do this."

"Why? You don't have to this."

"I do."

"But why do you have to constantly prove yourself to people? You're fine the way you are!"

"In your eyes, maybe-"

"And everyone else's!"

"But I can't see what you see. I just can't…"

Sigyn took his hands and stroked the fingers gently with a thumb. "You're Loki Odinson. You're a wonderful prankster, a wonderful son to your parents, a beloved brother to Thor, the most talented sorcerer that Asgard has ever known, and a wonderful friend to me that I wouldn't trade for anything. No matter what they say."

Loki's eyes softened and filled with tears as she spoke. He wiped them quickly away, not wanting to be seen crying in front of her, and sniffled.

"Thank you, Sigyn… That… That means a lot to me."

She smiled kindly at him. Standing up on her tiptoes because he was so tall, she kissed him briefly on the check, which made Loki blush furiously.

"Stay safe, Loki."

He nodded, turned, and ran back inside the building.

"Brother…" Loki murmured, staring down at Thor's body lying on the prison floor. He kicked it with his foot. Nothing. "Thor…"

He knelt beside him; hand on his shoulder, eyes roaming over the scene of destruction that lay before him. "Thor!" he hissed. "Thor! Wake up!"

Nothing.

"Thor! Brother! It's me! Loki! THOR!"

He threw himself over Thor's body, sobbing and moaning. "Brother! Wake up now!"

Then his sadness turned to rage.

"You always have to do this, don't you?" he hissed venomously. "You, Thor, the one that everyone loves! Where am I? Where am I? WHERE AMI? WHAT AM I?! What's wrong with me? Why do they hate me and love you? Why does Father love you more? Why can't I be King? What about my talents and abilities? Does he never stop to think of those? I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU!"

He pounded his brother's lifeless body with clenched, tight fists, sobbing and screaming.

"THOR! BROTHER! PLEASE! WAKE UP! I HATE YOU! I NEED YOU! I LOVE YOU! BROTHER!"

Sigyn heard Loki's screams, ignored Anne's anguish cry to stop, and ran inside the blackened building. She landed on the floor behind him, wrapped her arms around his thin frame, and buried her face in his neck, murmuring soft words to calm him. He screamed. He screamed and screamed and screamed.

"I KILLED HIM! I KILLED MY OWN BROTHER!"

The girl held him tightly to her chest and stroked his raven black hair. He struggled, hating being held, but she held on. Loki wailed and struggled more and more, kicking and punching around hysterically at anything he could reach. Sigyn held his hands down, and he kicked her in the check, hard. She ignored the pain and turned him around so that he was facing her, and puled him closer. Loki gripped hold of her arms so tightly that the nails dug in and left a mark.

"MAKE HIM COME BACK! MAKE HIM COME BACK! SIGYN, PLEASE, MAKE HIM COME BAAACCCKKK!"

"Loki, he's gone…"

"NOOOOOO!" He spun around, tried to reach for his brother, but she held him back, "THOR!"

Sigyn stood up, dragging him away. "Loki, come on! We have to get out of here!"

Loki struggled. "NO! YOU LIE! HE CAN'T BE DEAD! YOU BITCH! YOU LIE! I HATE YOU! "

"He's dead, Loki!"

"NO! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! THOR! BROTHER! THOOORRRR!"

He pushed her away, kicked her onto the floor, and ran to Thor's side. Picking him up, he ran outside.

"HELP! SOMEBODY, PLEASE HELP!"

Sigyn shook her head, dazed, then leapt to her feet. She dashed outside to find Loki performing CPR to Thor, desperately trying to revive him.

The girls were all crying.

"Thor, come on! Brother, please wake up! I promise to be nicer to you, and to treat you better than I have been doing, I swear! Just wake up!"

Thor's eyes remained closed.

Anne stepped forward. "Loki…"

"NO! GO AWAY! LEAVE US!"

Anne, shocked, stepped back.

Slowly gathering Odin's oldest into his arms, the younger son stared at the body and cradled it, tears pouring down his face.

His buried his face into his brother's hair, sobbing again.

He placed his hand on Thor's heart and murmured magic words, hoping that they might work instead.

"I'm sorry, Thor!" he cried, arms wrapped tightly around the motionless body of his older brother. "I'm so sorry!"

From high up in Asgard, Odin watched the scene unfold. He'd never seen this side of his youngest son before. He knew that it was his fault that Loki was this way. He should have told him when he was a child that he'd been adopted. Odin knew that Thor was not dead, but surprisingly, Loki's magic didn't.

Frigga, his wife and the mother of the two princes, stormed in. "Odin!" she yelled. "How can you let Loki believe that he has killed his brother? Thor is not dead! Revive him this instant!"

"He has to learn about his actions!"

"HE IS IN HYSTERICS! LOOK AT HIM! REVIVE THOR THIS INSTANT!"

Odin sighed and chanted a spell under his breath. "There? Happy?"

"I want him back home. I want you to tell him how you've lied to him his whole life!"

"Frigga, I-"

"NOW, ODIN! I WANT MY BOYS HOME!"

"NO! THEY MUST LEARN!"

'BY MAKING ONE BELIEVE THAT THE OTHER IS DEAD BY HIS OWN ACTIONS?!"

"LOKI MADE HIS CHOICE-"

"HE WENT TO GET HELP! LIKE THOR TOLD HIM TO!"

"HE LEFT HIM TO DIE!"

"HE WNT TO SIGYN! TO GET HELP! WHAT USE WAS HE IN A BURNING PRISON?!"

"HE LEFT IT ON FIRE! HE COULD HAVE PUT THEM OUT, AND THEN GONE TO GET HELP!"

"HE WAS SCARED!"

"HE KILLED THOR!"

"THOR IS NOT DEAD! HE IS UNCONSIOUS! LOKI NEVER KILLED THOR!"

"HE LEFT HIM TO DIE! THAT WAS HIS INTENTION! HE SET FIRE TO THE BUILDING! HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT?!"

Still cradling his brother's seemingly dead body, Loki didn't noticed the golden spark fly into Thor's open mouth. He didn't notice Thor's hands twitch, or the flickering of eyes.

"B-b-b-brother?"

He squeezed Loki's right hand. "W-w-what? i-i-s h-h-happening?"

Loki's eyes widened. "Thor? THOR! YOU'RE ALIVE!"

Thor gave a weak smile. "Loki…"

Kate gasped. "But I thought he was dead!"

Loki looked up at her, eyes wide in amazement. "So did I!"

"Thor?" Sigyn slowly came up from behind. "Thor is alive?"

"He's alive, Sigyn! Thor's alive!" Loki held out his hand to her. "Thor is alive!"

"But he was dead!"

"No! I told you he wasn't!"

"He can't be alive!"

"Well he is!"

"How?!"

"I have no idea!"

Anne stepped forward. "Ned?" she whispered. "Did you see Ned?"

Loki shook his head. "No. But I'm going back in to get him."

Sigyn grabbed his arm. "No! Loki, no!"

"He's the last one in there, I have to get him."

"Stop trying to be a hero!"

"SHUT UP!" Loki growled. "I'm going back in! Whether you like it or not!"

Sigyn blinked, stunned. "Fine," she said. "But I'm coming in with you."

Loki narrowed his eyes. "No."

"Yes."

"NO!"

"YES!"

"ARGH!"

Sigyn couldn't help but giggle at his annoyed groan. "I'm coming with you, Loki, whether you like it or not!"

Thor let out a small, weak chuckle from where he lay in his brother's arms. "She has you pinned, brother..."

Loki looked to Thor. "Don't talk," he said briefly, turning back to face the brown haired girl again.

"We'd have got Ned out by now if you weren't so stubborn."

Loki snorted, trying not to smile.

"Fine…" he sighed. "But be careful."

"Yes, Dad…"

Loki rolled his eyes as he gently moved Thor off his lap, and stood up. "Look after him," he said to Anne, who nodded and gently maneuvered Thor next to Geoffrey, who hadn't made any movement so far at all.

Loki turned to Sigyn. He held out his hand to her and she took it.

"Let's go."

It was a long time before Loki came back with the fifth and final victim of his rage.

Ned lay twisted and broken in his arms. His head was turned at an awkward angle, and blood covered his face. Loki was covered in blood, eyes cold and glaring as he stared down at Ned, and he started to laugh nervously.

Ned wasn't moving.

Anne gasped when she saw the body of the man who had been like a brother to her for so many years lying there in Loki's lean arms, not a sign of life showing.

Loki placed him down beside his younger brother.

"He's dead," he stated.

"No!" Anne yelled. "Thor was dead but then he came back to life! Ned can too!"

"No…" Loki murmured, shaking his head. "He has no pulse, no breath, no movements. He's dead."

Hands flew to their mouths.

"Oh my God…" Anne cried. "Ned!"

"I'm so sorry," repeated Loki, after trying to perform CPR on York's heir, "he's dead. No doubt about it."

This couldn't be happening.

This couldn't be true!

But it was.

Ned was gone.

The bright, bubbly, confident York boy was gone.

York's heir was gone.

"And it's all my fault..." Loki thought. "It's all my fault. Mine, mine, mine!"

And the clouds opened into a storm, and the rain came down.

Earth wouldn't be the only one mourning today…

Oh, no, it wouldn't be the only one.

What if the others were dead as well? They weren't moving at all.

Loki knew that he would be dead by the end of this. Odin would not take this lightly.

But then again, Odin didn't care what he did at all. The only one he cared about was Thor. Always Thor. Never him!

Loki gave a crooked, unexpected, evil smile.

"Maybe now Father might care…" he grinned. "He'll have to pay attention to me now. I've just murdered someone! He'll have to! He has no choice!"

But had he?

...
