A/N Yes I am back! As is the story, I'm sure bubbleairhead's happy.

Mirrim bit back a gasp, whatever she had been expecting, it certainly hadn't been that. Looking back however, she saw how much sense it made, a monthly illness and how tired he looked sometimes. She was suddenly glad she'd resisted the urge to research herself, it was better for both of them that he was the one to tell her. Lupin stared as his desk as he waited for Mirrim's reaction. She'd never met a werewolf before, at least as far as she knew, overall she knew very little about them. All she really knew about werewolves was that they were dangerous, though she couldn't see how dangerous they were if Dumbledore had employed one in a castle full of vulnerable students.

The logic however, didn't make it any less of a shock, or any easier to hear. She didn't quite know what it meant to be in a relationship with a werewolf. Did it put her in danger? Directly or indirectly? She didn't know much about werewolves or if there were any issues when they had a relationship with a human. Was this why Remus was single, because of issues, or because nobody could see past his condition?

She wasn't sure what to say, she couldn't actually see it changing anything. They didn't see each other for a certain time every month anyway. If he was a danger to her, they probably would never have got together in the first place. She didn't want to seem too nonchalant about it; she could tell it had taken a lot for him to tell her, at the same time, she didn't want to make him think she had a problem with it.

Mirrim suddenly realised she hadn't said anything yet, and how that could very easily make the man across from her think the worst.

"How do you control it?" She asked, immediately wondering if that was a little too personal a question. Remus looked up at her with a slight frown.

"How do I control it? Is that all you can say?"

"Well what did you think I'd say?"

"I don't know, maybe goodbye?"

"Do you want me to leave?"

"No but I felt sure you would."

"Why?" She breathed.

"I didn't think you'd want to be with a werewolf."

"Oh. It doesn't bother me."

"It doesn't?"

"No." She smiled. He blinked in surprise.

"Oh." He didn't quite know what to say, he'd been prepared for her to leave him, he hadn't even contemplated the possibility that she would accept him a he was, madness and all.

"Wolfsbane potion."

"I'm sorry?"

"That's how I control it. It's a potion that, while it doesn't stop the transformation, leaves my human mind in control. It means that I recognise people, don't attack anything and everything that moves. It basically keeps my human mind in control while my body is in wolf form. A fairly recent discovery yet a highly effective one."

"So, there isn't a problem then? With us being together I mean?

"You really are all right with this?"

"Remus I'm fine. I love you, this doesn't change anything." He came round to her side of the desk and held onto her tightly.

"I love you too Mirrim." Mirrim was glad he couldn't see her face, she was worried now. He'd told her his secret but she had yet to tell him hers. She no longer felt she had an excuse to keep it from him, but she wasn't ready for him to know, not yet.

Alex and Mirrim had been arguing for five minutes all ready.

"Mirrim you have to tell him."

"Yes but why now?"

"Because he's told you his secret! I know you can't tell me what he said and that's fine but don't you think he has a right to know? Especially now he's been honest with you?"

"He does but it's too soon. I promised myself I would tell him before we slept together but I still think that's a little way off."

"For god's sake Mirrim, you're just making up excuses; you have to tell him, how do you think he will feel if you don't tell him soon? You've got to trust him; if he loves you like he says he does it won't matter."

"And if it does matter?"

"Then he doesn't love you."

Snape took a sip of his firewhiskey.

"She took it well then?"

"That's an understatement, it's like it didn't even matter, like I'd just told her I had an embarrassing tattoo or something."

"I see."

"Is that all you can say?"

"I'm an ex-deatheater Lupin, I'm still surprised Alex accepted that, your being a werewolf may be different but although it surprises me she took it as well as you say I'm not surprised it went better than you expected."

"You really have learned a lot from your girlfriend." Snape rolled his eyes.

"Are you learning nothing from yours?"

"No, but then I have not had mine for as long as you."

"You have a point; it is still early days in your relationship."

"Well, I might be able to move it to the next level now." Severus swallowed; he knew that Remus now thought he had told Mirrim his secret they were ready to be more physical. Whilst he did not disagree that they were close to that stage, he knew Mirrim had not told Remus her secret.

"Are you sure you are both ready for that?"

"Well I know I am. I am not sure about Mirrim. I'll have to ask her." Snape nodded, it wasn't like there was really anything he could say.

"You really should Lupin, she's still quite young, have you and she spoken of being intimate before?"

"No. Now is as good a time as any to bring it up. Don't worry Severus, I won't pressure her." Snape nodded but said nothing, it wasn't really his place to interfere, and however he knew that both Mirrim and Remus should be totally honest with each other before they moved their relationship to the next level. He just hoped Mirrim knew it too.
