Jasper POV
I released as much venom as I could into her body from my mouth. I could feel the tingle from the fire spreading throughout her body. I hate to burn her like this again, but if it is the only way she will live, then it needs to happen. I removed my lips from her neck and gazed down at my love.
"I'm so sorry Bella, this is my entire fault." I cried out, lying back onto the carpeted ground. I don't know how long I was there for; a hour, a day, a year? It felt like eternity. My body felt frozen in one helpless position.
Time was taunting me; playing horrid tricks on my mind. The others came about around midnight. I could feel their pity and I did not want it. I deserved every part of this pain. I am a damned creature from Satan himself, even if God loves me; it doesn't mean I deserve something as precious as Bella.
Jade came and sat next to me. She laid her head gently on my shoulder. I sighed and stroked her hair softly. "I'm so sorry Jade. I never meant for this to happen."
"Dad, you're suffering enough without adding guilt into the mixture. None of us could have known that the fairy would do this. None of us know what this is in the first place, not even Grandpa." She said softly. How did I get so lucky that even after missing out on so much of her life, my daughter still loves me? Her mother is dying and yet she is still trying to comfort me.
"Thank you Jade." I murmured, grabbing her hand in mine. She squeezed it tightly. "You are one amazing young lady." Jade let out a small laugh.
"You only know the half of it." She teased, trying to lighten the mood. Unfortunately, it only worked so well. The mood remained somber as we all sat waiting.
"She's a fighter." I whispered quietly, hoping that it would give Bella extra strength.
"What should we do?" Jade asked, her voice edging on hopelessness.
"I don't know darling." I sighed, my voice cracking. Trey groaned from his spot.
"I wish you did." Trey snapped before storming upstairs. My throat felt constricted as I cried out again.
"Why did you do it Bella? Why did you have to save me? You could have just let that monster kill me, but you didn't. That should be me lying there instead of you." I bawled, yelling at the heavens above. Everyone was silent. Jade continued to squeeze my hand supportively.
A soft moan came from Bella. I was standing over her faster than a cat could run away from a bloodthirsty dog. "Do that again, Bella. Give us a signal that you're alive." Carlisle spoke gently, coming to my side. Another small moan came out of her. A smile crept its way onto my face as Jade and I exchanged looks. We were soon hugging each other tightly.
"She's alive!" Jade cheered while jumping up and down. I released her and returned to Bella's side. The color was slowly returning to her face and her body temperature was increasing slightly.
"Jasper, what did you do while we were hunting?" Esme asked euphorically. I smiled brightly with pure happiness and thankfulness radiating off of me. I looked at Carlisle when I spoke.
"I just prayed to God. I asked him to save Bella and cleanse me." Carlisle's smile could not have been brighter when the words left my mouth. Everyone had huge smiles on their faces. "After that, I bit her and gave her venom." Carlisle's face lit up with understanding.
"Of course; it's Amore Risurrezione!" How could I forget?" Carlisle scolded himself as he paced around the room. I raised an eyebrow at him. Love Resurrection? What in the world is that?
"Love Resurrection; Carlisle, what is that?" I asked peering at him calculatingly.
"When I was in ancient Italy studying the Volturi, I came across one of Aro's many antique books; Amore Risurrezione. It is understood to be this; when a love is so potent for someone or something that is decaying, a powerful spell bound by venom can save it. I've never seen it happen, but I do not doubt its capability!" Carlisle explained proficiently. I could tell he was leaving something important out, but it didn't matter. Bella was going to live.
A large smile came onto my face as Bella started to stir. She quietly groaned and opened her eyes. I greeted the multicolor beauty with a smile while an expression of confusion and fear came over her.
"Who are you?"
