Mystic Magic Duel Part 2/Unexpected Guests

"If this attack hits, it's all over!" Tea exclaimed, as Ella's Harpie Queen was about to shred my Harpie Girl to bits. Her harpie attacked, but when the dust cleared Harpie Girl was still standing, and my life points were unharmed. "How did this happen?!" Ella asked, as I pointed to the trap card on the field. Waboku. Ella growled and ended her turn, telling me to make my move. I drew and smiled at the card. "I'll sacrifice my Harpie Girl in order to bring out the star of my deck, Dark Magician Girl!" My magician came out in her usual cheerful manner. I then played Pot of Greed and drew the last two card I needed. "Now the fun part."

I played my Electric Virus, then over-layed it and my Gagaga Magician to build the overlay network..."...and XYZ summon, #100, Egyptian Goddess!" (2500 ATK) "Now, I play Wings of a Light Angel, to boost her power to 3200. Next, I'll play Black Pendant to boost her attack further. Now, destroy her Elemental Spell!" Egyptian Goddess destroyed Ella's monster, and her life points went down to 600. "I'll end my turn."

Ella drew and smiled. "First I'll summon my Ameba (300/350). Next, I'll play Creature Swap. I choose to give my Ameba to you." I glared at her slightly, before giving her my Dark Magician Girl. Ella laughed and told me the duel was over. "How?" "Because of Ameba's special ability. When the control over it switches to my opponent, it inflicts 2000 points of damage." She laughed again. "Not quite." She stopped laughing and looked at me. "By using one overlay unit, and discarding a card from my hand, my goddess can negate the effect." I said. My life points were safe, and Ella stared at me wide eyed. "Then...I guess I'll end my turn."

I drew. "I think I'll take my Dark Magician Girl back now." I played Brain Control. "By giving up 800 life points, I get her back." Dark Magician Girl came back to my side of the field. "Next, I play my Wings of a Dark Angel, raising my magician's Attack points to 2700." I smiled. "Any last words?" I asked, as Ella glared at me. "What made you think you could take that spell?" I stepped back. "What are you talking about?" "I think you know. The Spell of the Elements. What made you think you could take it?" I took another step back, almost falling off the platform.

"I didn't take it, I was blasted into it. I had no control over what happened!" I said to her, as she rolled her eyes."Likely story." She said. "I'm telling the truth! And besides, what would you know about-" It finally hit me. Her, Terri, Kitty, Piper, Rain...they were all... "Oh my God...you're..." "It finally dawned on you huh? Well thank Magix." She said with a slight smirk. "Uh...I don't get it..." Joey said. "It's simple really..."

"I got it...Terri's part Dog demon, Kitty's part Cat demon, Piper's a Fire Sprite and Rain's a Water Sprite, leaving you to be an Elemental Sorceress!" Ella clapped half heartily. "Very good. I was afraid I'd have to tell you." I growled at her. "Like I said, I'm not a thief!" "Really?" She asked. "Cuz last I checked, you used to be great friends with one." I growled again. "LEAVE THAT MUTANT THIEF OUT OF THIS!" I yelled. "See? You just admitted he's a thief." "At least he didn't hack into someone's computer!" I spat at her. "At least I didn't cause a Mutant Massacre." She shot back. I growled once more. How does she know all of this?

"I know more than you think. I know you've been part of many teams, including the X-Men. I know that you used to be great friends with 'That Mutant Thief'. I also know you've almost killed your team many times. Maybe Summers was right. You probably would be better off dead." Ella sneered at me. "ENOUGH!" I yelled out at her, before falling to my knees. "Danny, what is she talking about?" Tea asked. "I do not know. Latara does not talk about her time with the X-Men very often...and when she does, it is brief." The boy replied.

"To think, you've always said you were 'Perfectly Imperfect'." Ella scoffed. Flashback!

"Well we have to do something!" The Navy Blue haired teen yelled at me. "Well...let's do some sappy inspirational shit!" I yelled back, as she gasped, then ran for her pen and paper. "I didn't mean literally!" I yelled. She came back in humming a tune. "Okay, listen to this..."

"Only you can be you.
Only I can be me.
You always wanna be what you're not,
Can't you be happy with what you got..." Musa started, and I finished.
"...You're perfect the way you are,
With your insecurities, flaws and scars.
Life's too short to worry,
Don't you know it's true?
Only you can be you!"
"You can be you..."
"Only I can be me..."
"I can be me..."
"Only you can be you..."
"You can be you..."
"Only I can be me..."
"I can be me-e!"

We laughed as Musa wrote to words down. "Now we just need to get the rest of the song." "Yay." I said sarcastically.

I slightly laughed as I got back up. "I still don't know how you know all of this, but I for one don't give a damn. So let's just get back to me kicking your ass, hmm?" I ordered my Dark Magician Girl to attack, as she wiped out the rest of Ella's life points. She smirked as the holograms disappeared. "Don't think you won...just...yet..." She said before she collapsed on the ground. Before I could go help her, everything got blurry, and I too blacked out.

Tea's POV

Both girls were on the floors, knocked unconscious. "Well now how'd 'dat happen?" Joey asked. I glanced over and noticed that the card Ella first played was still there. "Hey guys," I said. "Look! The Magic Seal!" Everyone looked at the card, which was glowing Red, white, blue, brown and black. "Oh no..." I heard Danny say, as I turned toward him. "Is something wrong?" I asked, but he didn't answer. He jumped down and landed perfectly before running over to Latara, Lucario following.

The rest of the gang and I ran down and joined him. "Is she okay?" Yugi asked. "For now, but I am afraid she will not be for much longer." Before we could ask anything else, Lucario looked up at one of the balconies. "Show yourself!" He yelled. A yellow thingy jumped down and landed near Ella. "You are Psy, I presume?" The blue dog asked. "Ala." The thingy answered. At least I think it was an answer.

Lucario and the other thing's chat went on for a while. "Could you ask him what happened to Latara?" Lucario looked back at Danny. "Why?" "Because if he is Ella's Alakazam, he should know what happened." Lucario shrugged but asked the 'Alakazam' anyway. After it gave Lucario his answer, Lucario looked at him in horror, before turning back to us. "Daniel, get her back to her room. Now!" Danny picked Latara up Bridal Style and ran to her room. "Wait!" I yelled. "What's wrong with her?!"

Danny's POV

I ran down to Latara's room, ignoring Tea's question. I got Latara back to her room and set her down on her bed, before using my Chi to try and heal her, with little avail. I looked down at the girl. Her chi (Or how she puts it, aura) was faintly glowing it's usual black color. I sighed. "How is it that you always get yourself into situations like these?" I asked, expecting no answer. Cuz that's just who I am... I heard her voice. It was her thoughts, but still her.

But how? It seems as though you always get into trouble.

I'm telling you, it's my Black Cat Effect!

You do not have a 'Black Cat Effect'.

Yes I do! I told you, it's been happening ever since I turned 13! It's not as worse as it was back then but still...

I do not believe you are bad luck, so stop trying to convince me.

I'm not saying I'm 'Bad Luck'...

I do not believe you are a jinx either.

That on the other hand...

Latara.

Sor...ry...

Are you okay?

Tired. But yeah, I'm...

I could tell the link was shut off. I moved some of her hair out of her face and kissed her forehead. "Get some rest, Oni." I said, before walking out of the room. I walked across to Ella's room. I knocked and her Alakazam opened the door. Ella was sitting on her bed reading a book. "Why hello." She said. "So tell me, what brings the Immortal Iron Fist here?" She asked. I ignored the fact she knew my identity. "How did that card drain Latara's Magic Energy?" Ella laughed. "It is called Magic Seal for a reason. Every time one of us lost life points, we also lost Magic Energy. How Latara lost enough of to make her faint is beyond me, but I can assure you she'll be fine." She said. "Now if that's all..." She motioned to the door. I got what I wanted, so I walked out.

...

Latara's POV

I woke up to darkness. It was obviously nighttime. I looked at my clock.

2:28 A.M

Too early/late to do anything, so I walked over to the window and opened it, where I was met with a pair of bright yellow eyes. I ignored it, thinking they belonged to an owl. As I was going to turn away, I saw a blue tail swish back and forth. I gasped lightly before smiling. "It's okay. I'm the only other one in here." The eyes faded for a moment, before a loud BAMF and the faint scent of Burning Brimstone was noticeable. A few moments later another Bamf could be heard, and the room smelled like brimstone once again. I turned around and saw two people standing behind me.

I immediately hugged the one standing closets to me. I looked up and was again met with yellow eyes. I smiled brightly. "Hey Blue-Boy. Long time no see!" I said, before hugging him again. I felt him hug me back. "It is nice to see you too, Latara." I heard him say, in his familiar German Accent. I let go and hugged the other one, who was a bit shorter than me. "Nice to see you Kit-Kat." She sighed. "And I thought it was annoying when Bobby called me that..."

I stepped back and turned on my lamp so I could see my two guests. One was a boy, about 24 years old, with indigo fur, a long tail, glowing yellow eyes and was wearing a black and red suit with white gloves. The other was a girl, about 15, with brown hair which was down with two pigtails, she had grey eyes and was wearing a blue and yellow suit.

"So, what brings you two here?" I asked, as I sat down on my windowsill. "Well, we were trying to track down Remy..." Kit-Kat replied. "Again?" "Again." I sighed. "Xavier doesn't know when to quit does he?" I asked. "Apparently not. He's split us all up to try and find him, but we haven't had any luck." The girl replied. "It's just not fair!" She exclaimed. She jumped up slightly and went to land on my bed, but accidentally phased through it, causing the boy and I to laugh. "Oh ha ha. Little help?" We pulled her out of the bed and she sat back down, trying her best not to go through it again.

"So you guys got Japan?" I asked. "Ja." The blue boy replied. "Ve have been searching for veeks, ve finally gave up until Kitty heard there vas a ferry coming here. Ve hopped on and hoped for the best." He explained. I slowly nodded. "So LeBeau still can't be found?" "No." They replied in unison. "Well that's just great." I said sarcastically. I then floated upward and went back till I was horizontal. I felt a little point tap my shoulder, and glanced over to see a blue tail. "Ve vere hoping you knew vhere he vas." I sighed. "I haven't talked to the Cajun Snake in a long time. Sorry Kurt, Kitty. I don't know where he is.

Though..." I flew vertical. "He could be in Domino somewhere. I mean, there are a lot of card shops, and you know how much Remy likes cards." I suggested. Kitty and Kurt looked at each other, then back at me. "We- well I- Tried..." I glanced over a Kurt. He didn't like making Public Appearances, even if all the X-Men were together. I guess it was the fact that he was blue with glowing eyes and a demon tail. He once explained that he was mistaken for an actual demon back in Germany. "...Everywhere I went, no one had noticed a guy who matched Remy's description." Kitty finished explaining. "You did ask about the red/black eyes right?" Kitty looked at me with a look that said 'Seriously?'. "That would be a dead give away! He obviously would have had glasses!" I sighed. "Kitty...THEN LET KURT TAKE A NIGHT SHIFT AND IF HE FINDS SOMEONE WEARING SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT, YOU KNOW YOU HAVE YOUR GUY!" I yelled at her, as Kurt shushed me.

I cleared my throat. "Sorry." I said. "Trust me, we tried. And we thought we saw a few people, but none of them fit the complete description." Kitty said. I sighed once more. "Well-" I was cut off by the sounds of footsteps, and a knock at my door. We all looked at the door. "Kurt, shadows! Kitty, wardrobe!" They hid in there assigned spots as I opened the door, to find Joey standing there. "Hey, Tara. I thought I heard other voices. You ok?" He asked. "I'm fine, Wheeler. Thanks for checking up on me." "No problem." He said. "Well, Night." He walked out of the doorway as I shut the door behind him. "Okay, we're clear." The two X-Men walked out and rejoined me.

"Well, I can't do much to help, but I'll tell you if I see any suspicious personal." I said. "Thanks." Kitty said, as she and Kurt headed for the window. The both got down, Kitty phasing though the bottom and Kurt teleporting. I looked down and saw them waving. "Bye Shadowcat, Nightcrawler!" I yelled. They ran back into the woods. I decided to quickly head up to the roof.

I was sitting and admiring the clear sky. "Beautiful t'night, isn't it Cherie?" I gasped lightly, realizing who the man was, before taking a deep breath. "What do you want, you snake?" I heard him gasp. "Snake? I t'ink yo' should know I am a t'ief, not a snake." I rolled my eyes. "Now what do you want?" "T' t'ank yo' fo' yo're help, Cherie." He said. I growled. "Stop calling me that. I stopped helping you a long time ago. I don't trust a single word that comes out of your mouth." "I see. Yo' wound me, Cherie." He stated, and I scoffed. "Just go, before I call Shadowcat and Nightcrawler back here." I felt him turn around and walk away. "And Gambit," I said, as he stopped. "Don't ever come near me again, unless you know there's someone to hold me back." I felt him start walking again. I didn't turn around till his scent totally disappeared.

I made my way back to my room, lied down on my bed, and tried to go to sleep. Before I was fast asleep, I felt a single tear run down my cheek.

*Sniffles* SO SAD!

Espeon-You're the one who hated him.

We all hated him!

Espeon-Yeah but you're the one who made amends.

Whatever. God, I never thought it would be so hard to type his accent.

Espeon-Just wait when we get up to the KC Grand Prix.

Ugh...

Espeon-Haha. So, next up is the semi-semi final duel...I think...wait...if Latara and...then Yugi and...and Pegasus and...

Never mind that. Well, ta-ta, and we'll see you next time!

Espeon-But if that...and then that...
