Sorry about the delay. But trust me. This chapter is NICE, and the one after this is even better. As always, thank you for reading, regardless of whether or not you favorite me or the story or leave a review. Now please, enjoy.
Hinata is missing.
I don't know how else to cope with it. She is literally missing. The entire village hasn't found out yet, but those who do know are scared. Hinata is pregnant and the Hokage's wife! How is this possible!?
Not one of those fake missing either, like we just don't know where she is. She is gone. We scoured the whole village for her chakra and her scent. I went with one of Itachi's snakes, and we came up empty. She knows how valuable her eyes are, so she would always tell Naruto what her plans were. Heck, she even got nervous when she got too close to the Leaf gates. We didn't have class that day, because Kiba was searching the village. Narucha still had better chakra control, so she sprinted faster than I could.
As soon as I walked in, I expected to see only Naruto and father. No. The office was packed. It was Kakashi, Kurenai, father, Shikamaru, mother, Narucha and Naruto.
"Dammit!" Naruto screamed. "Shikamaru. Take over as Hokage! I'll go find her. Whoever did this is dead!"
Father calmed Naruto down. "No, Naruto. We can't let you leave the village."
"And I'm supposed to sit here and let someone get away with my wife!?" he screamed.
I have never seen him this upset.
Father elaborated. "No. They wont kill her. This is just a simple ruse to get you out of the village. Someone is planning an attack, and they need you out the village to do that."
Kakashi agreed. "Yes, Naruto. The village is always vulnerable without its kage present."
Naruto punched his desk, and it shattered into dust. "SO WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!? I WONT JUST SIT HERE!"
Naruto is scary when he wants to be.
Father told him. "Stay here and protect the village and my family. I'll get Hinata."
Naruto looked at father, still upset. "What?"
Father sighed. "I'll get your wife and bring her back. Whoever took her wants either of us out of the village. So you'll stay here and keep an eye on my family."
Naruto was speechless. First time I a long time I guess. "Sasuke… you'll do what?"
Father repeated himself. "I don't think was unclear, sixth. I'll risk my life finding your wife and child, as long as you stay here and defend mine."
"But… but."
"Glad to see you understand." Father smiled. "Saichi! Go get Karin. Tell her to meet me at the Leaf Gate in fifteen minutes. And tell her to bring Suigetsu with her."
Shikamaru flinched. "What!? What are you planning!?"
Father frowned. "This is a job by people who clearly know what they're doing. If I'm going to catch them, then I'm going to need capable ninja by my side who I can work easily with."
I knew I should have been moving by now, but I kinda wanted to see where this was going to go.
Shikamaru protested. "You can't possibly just take you and your own ninja by yourselves and run off like that! We need the ANBU, and Kiba, and me and…"
Father began to walk to the door. "If it was that big of a deal to you, Shikamaru, then you would have volunteered in the first place."
Shikamaru was visibly shaken by that statement. Naruto told Shikamaru to let him go on by himself. Father summoned a snake and whispered to it, and the snake disappeared. Before he left the room, he turned his attention to me.
"Saichi, what did I ask you to do?"
I knew I should have started moving. "Getting Karin."
Fahter nodded. "And what exactly are you doing at the moment?"
I choked on my words. "Um… nothing."
Father nodded again. "And what should you be doing at the moment?"
I sighed. "Going to get Karin."
I walked to the door before Naruto stopped the both of us.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked.
Father looked at him. He didn't smile. He didn't nod. He just looked at him. "That's what friends are for Naruto."
He yelled at me to tell me to get going, which I did. Luckily for me, I remembered where Karin lives, simply because her and Suigetsu were mandated and forced by the Leaf to live in the same house. As long as you were in the general vicinity of the neighborhood, you could hear them arguing.
So I head straight east after exiting the mansion. I leap from rooftop t rooftop and sprinted as fast as I could. Who took Hinata? Why did they do it? What was their plan?
Before I knew it, I was there. I open their door, and no surprise. They were arguing. Suigetsu and Karin looked the exact same as they always have. Neither of them had aged a day since I can remember meeting them. At first they were joking around and happy to see me. Then I told them that father needed them, and they turned serious.
Karin got dressed in some different clothes and sprinted to the gates. Suigetsu went upstairs and grabbed his fearsome blade; Samehada, the Sharkskin.
So they take off to the gate. I had to take off after them! I wasn't going to miss this!
Naturally, I was far slower than they, so I took a long time to get there.
Anyways, I got to the gate, and got real excited. I finally saw them. All of them! Together at one time!
The Taka!
Father was there with his blade on his waist. Jugo was a massive behemoth of a man, and he was in a brown cloak with black pants. Karin, was beautiful and all, and looked as determined to help father with whatever he asked. Then there was Suigetsu, who looked even more powerful with his prized Sharkskin on his back.
I wanted to be a part of this group so bad. They looked so cool!
"Taka!" father yelled. "We have a mission. The retrieval of Hinata Hyuga!"
"Right."
"Alright!"
"Let's go!"
The four ninja sprinted out of the gates and off into the Land of Fire.
I knew one thing. Whoever took Hinata was about to die. Painfully.
That's all that happened. So there we go. I was hoping that Naruto could stay calm long enough for father to return.
Goodnight!
