Chapter 29: Pocono and Iowa (Alvin's busy weekend)

Here's chapter 29 of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Fastest and the Squeakiest! Enjoy! Smoke the tires and light the fires! Let's go racing, boys and girls!

After an exciting weekend in Indianapolis, Dave, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor were back at Pocono Raceway. All of them were going to be

in the Camping World Truck Series race at Pocono, the Nationwide Series race in Iowa, and of course, the Sprint Cup Series race in Pocono. Alvin was also hoping to

make up for his devastating loss in the Nationwide Series race in Indianapolis.

"If Ian Hawke causes me to screw up again, I'm so going to give him a piece of my mind, and he will not like it." said Alvin to himself as he stretched and got ready

for the race. "Alvin, Alvin, Alvin. You've got guts to race against me." taunted Ian. "I just like to race, Mr. Selfish! So which ride are YOU in today?" asked Alvin. "#11

truck for Todd Bodine. You?" asked Ian. "#22 for Joey Coulter, though that doesn't really concern you, now does it?" said Alvin. "Hey! Back off from my boyfriend,

Ian!" said Brittany. "Well, well. The leader of the Chipettes sticking up for the leader of the Chipmunks. How delightful." taunted Ian. Alvin and Brittany hissed at Ian,

chasing him off. Then, Krista Voda started the pre-race show.

"Hello race fans, and welcome to Pocono Raceway! I'm Krista Voda, and it is going to be quite a race. Eleanor, who is in the #30 truck today, is on the pole. In fact,

all six chipmunks, along with their father, Dave Seville, and Dave's friend, Ian Hawke, are racing today. Alvin, the leader of the Chipmunks, is in the #22 truck for

Joey Coulter. Ray Dunlap is with him now. Ray?" said Krista.

"That's right, Krista. I'm with Alvin Seville right now, who is signing autographs for the fans. Alvin, you're making your Camping World Truck Series debut today. Do

you think you can win your first truck race today?" asked Ray. "That would be pretty awesome to win in my Camping World Truck Series debut today. As long as this

#22 team puts on a solid performance today and makes the right calls, we will definitely have a shot at the win today." said Alvin. "You do realize that Ian Hawke is

in the race today, don't you?" asked Ray. "I know, and I'm not going to let him rob me of a victory this time." said Alvin. "Good luck to you, Alvin. I believe Hermie

Sadler is with Ian right now. Hermie?" said Ray. "That's right, Ray. I'm with Ian Hawke right now, who is in the #11 truck for Todd Bodine today. Ian, you're making

your Camping World Truck Series debut today too. Can you pull off the victory today?" asked Hermie. "I'm going to get past those chipmunks, whether I wreck them

or not." said Ian. "Good luck today." said Hermie.

The pre-race ceremonies got through, the drivers got strapped into their trucks, put on their helmets, HANS devices, and gloves, and then the window nets went up

and were secured. Then, Alvin got to give the command from inside his truck!

"DRIVERS, START YOUR ENGINES!" said Alvin, excitedly. As all 36 engines roared to life, Rick Allen started the race coverage.

"Hello race fans, and welcome to Pocono Raceway! I'm Rick Allen, alongside Phil Parsons and Michael Waltrip. Phil, this is going to be a very short race today. What

will that be like for these drivers?"asked Rick. "It will be over before these drivers even know it. Track position is key." said Phil. "Michael, do you think Alvin can win

in his Camping Truck Series debut?" asked Rick. "I hope so! That young man has got a lot of talent." said Michael. "Well then, let's take a look at the starting grid for

the Pocono Mountains 125. Row 1 is #30 Eleanor Seville and #3 Ty Dillon. Eleanor is on the pole. Row 2 is #32 Simon Seville and #22 Alvin Seville. Row 3 is #31

Brittany Seville and #2 Tim George Jr. Row 4 is #5 Paulie Harraka and #17 Theodore Seville. Row 5 is #88 Matt Crafton and #9 Dave Seville. Row 6 is #09 John Wes

Townley and #11 Ian Hawke. Row 7 is #13 Jeanette Seville and #23 Jason White. Row 8 is #33 Cale Gale and #18 Denny Hamlin. Row 9 is #29 Parker Kligerman

and #98 Dakoda Armstrong. Row 10 is #99 Bryan Silas and #08 Ross Chastain. Row 11 is #93 Dennis Setzer and #07 Jeff Agnew. Row 12 is #84 Chris Fontaine and

#10 Jennifer Jo Cobb. Row 13 is #27 C.E. Falk and #39 Ryan Sieg. Row 14 is #28 Wes Burton and #38 Chris Jones. Row 15 is #74 Scott Riggs and #82 Sean Corr.

Row 16 is #25 Brandon Knupp and #59 Kyle Martel. Row 17 is #0 Chris Lafferty and #57 Norm Benning. And row 18 is #6 Justin Lofton and #75 Adam Edwards."

said Rick as the field began their pace laps. "The drivers that have on-board cameras today are #6 Justin Lofton, #29 Parker Kligerman, #18 Denny Hamlin, and #17

Theodore Seville." said Phil. Alvin and Joey Coulter were talking on the radio.

"Alvin Seville, welcome to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series!" said Joey Coulter. "Thanks. Glad to be here." said Alvin over the radio. "How do you feel about

today?" asked Coulter. "I'm feeling pretty confident about today. I won't let you guys down." said Alvin. "I know. Just have fun out there today." said Coulter. "Got

it." said Alvin. Then, the field got the one-to-go signal.

"Welcome back to Pocono Raceway, guys! Be safe, have fun, and hopefully one of us ends up in Victory Lane today!" said Dave over the radio. "Okay, Dave!" said the

six chipmunks. "Simon, what's the race analysis?" asked Dave. "Race length is 50 laps/125 miles. Pit window is 30-32 laps, pit road speed is 55 mph." said Simon.

"Thanks!" said Dave. "Wow. Short race today. I'd better make the most of this race quickly." said Alvin to himself. But just before the green flag flew, Cobb's engine

mysteriously blew.

"Trouble before the green flag flies! Jennifer Jo Cobb has blown an engine!" said Rick Allen as Cobb went to the garage and the pace truck went to pit road, leaving

the field in the hands of Eleanor and Ty Dillon. Then, the green flag flew.

"Green flag is in the air! We are underway in Pocono!" said Michael Waltrip as the field raced into turn 1 side-by-side. Eleanor got out front quickly, leaving Dillon in

the outside lane, which caused him to scrape the wall, nearly collecting Simon, and lose several spots!

"Ty Dillon scrapes the wall on lap 1, and he drops back quickly!" said Rick Allen as Eleanor held off Brittany and Theodore to lead the first lap of the race. But as lap 2

began, Jeanette had a problem with her truck!

"Problems for Jeanette in the #13 truck! First Jennifer Jo Cobb, then Ty Dillon, and now Jeanette!" said Rick Allen as Jeanette went to the garage area. Jeanette was

not pleased.

"One lap into the race and I have a problem?! This is ridiculous!" said Jeanette over the radio, frustrated. "Take it to the garage. We'll look at it." said Johnny Sauter.

"Please don't tell me what I think it is." said Jeanette. "Yes, it's the transmission." said Sauter. "Oh, come on! Why can't these issues leave me alone? I blame Simon

for this bad luck." said Jeanette. "You're blaming your boyfriend? That's kind of rude." said Sauter. "I don't care. I'm his girlfriend, and I can blame anything on him

anytime I want. and I am not speaking to him until he walks up to me, looks me in the eye, and admits that what he did was wrong. And until then, he is sleeping on

the couch and not with me in bed." said Jeanette to herself. On lap 3, Dave got past Jason White for 11th while Alvin got past Simon for seventh. Ian, however, was

running in fifth behind Eleanor, Brittany, Theodore, and Crafton.

"I will not lose to six chipmunks this time." said Ian to himself. On lap 6, Eleanor pulled out to a 3-second lead over Brittany.

"This truck is really good everywhere, Nelson." said Eleanor over the radio. "Good. Keep up the good work." said Piquet. "Will do." said Eleanor. On lap 12, Ray

Dunlap interviewed a very frustrated Jeanette in the garage area.

"I'm with Jeanette right now, who is sitting in her truck, waiting for repairs to be finished. Jeanette, what exactly happened?" asked Ray. "I don't know. All I know is

that my shot at the win is gone, and I am sitting here in the garage area while my sisters are running first and second. This is unbelievable. We think it's the

transmission." said Jeanette. "Tough break for Jeanette. Back to you, Rick." said Ray. "Thanks Ray. Guys, I think Eleanor has the truck to beat today. She started on

the pole and has led since the start of this race." said Rick Allen. "You're right, Rick, and her boyfriend, Theodore, who drives for Michael Waltrip in the Sprint Cup

Series, is currently in third. I believe Hermie Sadler is with Eleanor's crew chief now. Hermie?" said Rick.

"That's right Rick. I am with Nelson Piquet Jr. now. Nelson, how is Eleanor doing out there?" asked Hermie. "She is happy out there right now. She said the truck is

running smoothly and is having no issues." said Piquet. "Thanks Nelson." said Hermie as Eleanor continued to lead. On lap 17, after chasing Harraka for many laps,

Alvin finally got past Harraka for sixth.

"About time." said Alvin to himself. On lap 20, Hamlin came to pit road to begin a round of green-flag pit stops as Simon passed Harraka for seventh while Dillon

passed Dave and Townley for ninth. Dave was still in 11th.

"I am a bit tight in the exit of turns." said Dave over the radio. "Okay. We'll work on it." said Hornaday. Then, Ian and Crafton came to pit road seconds later for their

stops and were followed by Alvin, Eleanor, Simon, Harraka, Armstrong, Kligerman, Townley, Brittany, Silas, Falk, Burton, Corr, Fontaine, Benning, Martel, Dillon,

Dave, George Jr., Lofton, Chastain, Theodore, Gale, and White. As pit stops finished, Jeanette came back out onto the track with a fresh new transmission. Jeanette

was 22 laps down in 34th.

"I'd better finish this race, or else I will be very upset." said Jeanette to herself. As quickly as the race started, the race reached the halfway point: lap 25.

"We made it to the halfway point, guys!" said Eleanor as Lofton came to pit road, giving Eleanor back the lead. "Awesome!" said Alvin. "Fantastic!" said Simon. "Yes!"

said Theodore. "Way to go!" said Brittany. "Great!" said Jeanette. "Nice!" said Dave. "Good. Now I'm going to win this race, one way or another!" said Ian. On lap 29,

the first caution of the race came out after Tim George Jr. cut a tire and hit the wall in turn 2.

"Problems in turn 2! Tim George Jr. has hit the wall! Caution is out!" said Rick Allen as the field slowed down for the first time in the race. On lap 30, the top ten was

Eleanor, Brittany, Theodore, Ian, Crafton, Hamlin, Alvin, Harraka, Simon, and White. Dave was in 15th.

"What happened on that stop?" asked Dave over the radio. "Sorry about that. We dropped a lug nut. We'll get back up there. We'll be alright." said Hornaday. When

the running order got sorted out, Brittany was actually the race leader after beating Eleanor back out onto the track after pit stops were complete!

"Who's the race leader? Me or Eleanor?" asked Brittany over the radio. "You are the leader." said Buescher. "Cool! Let's go win this thing." said Brittany. But when

she chose the outside lane for the restart, she saw who was right behind her.

"Oh no." said Brittany. "Miss me, B-girl?" teased Ian over the radio. "I told you not to me call me that!" said Brittany angrily. "Well, you can kiss your shot at the win

goodbye because I am going to take this win." said Ian as the field came off turn 3. "Not on my watch." said Eleanor to herself. With 18 laps to go, the green flag flew

and the field raced into turn 1 side-by-side. But as the field came onto the backstretch, Ian tried to cut down in front of Eleanor, but he did not have her cleared and

the two rivals made contact, sending Ian sliding into the inside wall hard, bringing out the caution.

"Problems on the backstretch! Eleanor and Ian make contact and Ian's hit the inside wall HARD! Caution is out!" said Rick Allen as the field slowed down again. "I just

got wrecked by one of the Chipettes! She can't do that!" said Ian to himself angrily as he got unbuckled, lowered the window net, took off his helmet, HANS device,

and gloves, and climbed out of the truck. But as the field came back around and onto the backstretch, Ian took his helmet and threw it at Eleanor's truck, showing his

displeasure. He then angrily walked into the ambulance for the mandatory trip to the infield care center. Theodore was right behind Eleanor when the wreck

happened.

"He came down in front of you, Ellie. Ian basically wrecked himself!" said Theodore over the radio. "Yep. At least we won't have to deal with him for the rest of the

race." said Eleanor. "No, but he will be in the #31 car at Iowa." said Alvin. "Oh great. He'll probably be after me." said Eleanor to herself. With 13 laps to go, the

green flag flew once again and the field raced side-by-side into turn 1. As the field into turn, Alvin made a three-wide move on Theodore and Crafton to move into

third!

"Nice move, Alvin! That's what I'm talking about!" said Coulter. But as the field came into turn 2, Harraka spun after contact with Dave, and both drivers hit the wall

as Crafton and Theodore made contact, sending Theodore spinning and collecting Simon, but ended up hitting the wall himself, while Corr and Burton were caught up

in the wreck too.

"Problems in turn 2! Harraka is in the wall and so is Theodore, Dave, Corr, Burton, and Simon gets spun out too! Caution is out!" said Rick Allen as the field slowed

down again. "Haha. Eleanor, it looks like your boyfriend suffered the same fate." said Ian to himself as he watched the rest of the race. "You alright, Theodore?"

asked Peters. "Yeah, I'm alright. Radiator's gone though. We'll need a new one. I think we're out of contention." said Theodore over the radio as he drove to the

garage. "Yep. Take it to the garage." said Peters. Dave was getting repairs to his truck too.

"How bad is it, Ron?" asked Dave over the radio. "It might hold up for the rest of the race, it might only hold up for one lap. Either way, you've got to avoid being

slammed around out there, alright?" said Hornaday. "Got it!" said Dave as he left the pits. With 8 laps to go, the green flag flew, and as soon as Alvin crossed the

line, he went three-wide with Brittany and Eleanor, going all the way to the inside lane and taking the lead as the field went through turn 1.

"Nice move, Alvin! Atta boy!" said Coulter. "Let's finish this!" said Alvin as Eleanor dropped to fifth while Alvin held off his girlfriend, Brittany, and easily led the lap.

With 5 laps to go, Alvin started pulling away from Brittany.

"I will try to hold everyone off, Alvin. Let's finish 1-2 today." said Brittany to herself. One lap later, Eleanor got back past Hamlin for fourth. With two laps to go, while

Simon tried to get back into the top ten, Eleanor passed Crafton for third. Then, Alvin saw the white flag.

"White flag is in the air! Can Alvin hold off his girlfriend and get his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win?" asked Rick Allen as the field took the white

flag. "One more lap, Alvin. One more lap." said Coulter over the radio as Alvin went into turn 1. "Come on, Alvin. You got it, man. You got it. Come on, Alvin." said

Brittany to herself. Then, Alvin saw the checkered flag waiting for him.

"Here comes Alvin off turn 3! After making a thrilling move late in the race, Alvin is going to see the checkered flag for his first win in the Camping World Truck

Series! Alvin Seville wins in Pocono!" said Rick Allen as the field took the checkered flag. "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! HAHAHA! WE DID IT! WE WON POCONO! I

WON MY FIRST TRUCK SERIES RACE! WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!" said Alvin excitedly over the radio on the cool-down lap. "We finished 1-2, Alvin!" said

Brittany. "Way to go, Alvin!" said Simon. "You did it!" said Jeanette. "Nice job, Alvin!" said Eleanor. "Atta boy, Alvin!" said Dave. Alvin did a huge burnout on the

frontstretch, Brittany came and got the checkered flag and handed it to him, Alvin got out and celebrated with the fans, Alvin and Brittany shared a victorious hug,

and then Alvin got back into the truck, and with the checkered flag in his hand, he drove off to Victory Lane. Ray Dunlap came over and interviewed Eleanor, who was

devastated after seeing her shot at the win slip away.

"I am with Eleanor Seville right now, who is getting ready to go to Victory Lane to see Alvin. Eleanor, how tough is it to lose a shot at the win like that?" asked Ray.

"It's tough, but I'm happy for Alvin. He's a great friend, and I am going to be enjoying the celebration with him and everyone else." said Eleanor. "Go and celebrate

with your family." said Ray. Alvin parked the truck in Victory Lane, shut off the engine, got unbuckled, took off his helmet, HANS device, and gloves, put on an RCR

hat, climbed out of the truck, and then the big celebration began!

"Wooooohoooooo! Yes! Yes! Yes! Awesome, baby!" said Alvin as he was showered in Gatorade and confetti. Hermie Sadler came and interviewed Alvin.

"Alvin, you are a winner in the Camping World Truck Series! Congratulations!" said Hermie. "Thanks. First one I have to thank is the good Lord Jesus Christ. He led us

on through the entire race, and this team never gave up. We worked very hard today, and hopefully the Lord will lead us victory in Iowa later on tonight." said Alvin

as he was showered in water by his teammate, Ty Dillon. The two shared a hug before Dillon left. "And your family has arrived in Victory Lane!" said Hermie as

Simon, Theodore, Jeanette, Eleanor, and Dave joined in the group hug. Then, Brittany ran up to Alvin, and the couple shared a warm kiss, earning an "Awwww!" from

everyone that was watching in Victory Lane. Then, Dave and the five other chipmunks went to the other side of Victory Lane, Dave got out his camera, and started

taking photos of Alvin and the #22 RCR/Darrell Gwynn Foundation race team.

0o0o0o0

After an hour and a half of photos and interviews, plus the trip to the media center, Dave and the six chipmunks headed back to the RV with Alvin's trophy. Everyone

got in the RV, and then Dave closed the RV doors, started the engine, and then made the trip to Iowa Speedway. Alvin was in the back of the RV with Brittany.

"One race down, two more to go." said Alvin as Brittany slept next to him. "Yep. It's going to be quite a race in Iowa." said Brittany. "Yeah. Ian had better not wreck

us." said Alvin. "He won't. Not on my watch." said Brittany. Alvin and Brittany then shared one more warm kiss and then fell asleep in each other's arms, taking a

little nap.

0o0o0o0

A few hours later, Dave, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor were at Iowa Speedway for the Nationwide Series race. Ian had left Pocono Raceway

long before Dave and the six chipmunks did. However, he was furious when he found out that Alvin had gotten the pole position after the leader of the Chipmunks

posted the quickest time in qualifying.

"WHAT?! No! I'm going to take him down tonight! This is MY race tonight!" said Ian to himself. Alvin, however, was in a better mood. He was celebrating his pole win

with his #2 Financial One Racing team.

"Atta boy, Alvin! You ready for tonight?" asked Sadler. "Yep. I sure am! Tonight is so going to make up for Indianapolis." said Alvin. "Sure is. You're going to do great

tonight, bud." said Sadler. "Thanks. I won the Camping World Truck Series race today in Pocono." said Alvin. "I saw. Very nice move late in the race." said Sadler.

"Thanks." said Alvin. Then, Nicole Briscoe started the pre-race show.

"Hello race fans, and welcome to Iowa Speedway! I'm Nicole Briscoe, alongside Rusty Wallace and Ray Evernham. Brad Daugherty is in Pocono. Rusty, what is the

track going to be like tonight?" asked Nicole. "It is going to be one crazy night, and then the track temperature will change as soon as the sun goes down, meaning

the crew chiefs will be hard at work." said Rusty. "That's right, Rusty. And track position will be key as well. I was watching the Camping World Truck Series race

today, and Ian was not happy when he wrecked. A rivalry continues between Ian Hawke and the Chipmunks and the Chipettes." said Ray. "Speaking of the

Chipmunks, I believe Dr. Jerry Punch is with the leader of the Chipmunks, who is also the polesitter for tonight's race. Jerry?" said Nicole.

"That's right, Nicole. I am with Alvin Seville, who is the polesitter tonight. Alvin, can you go 2-for-2 tonight after winning the Camping World Truck Series race in

Pocono earlier today?" asked Jerry. "I hope so. It would be pretty cool if I got all three wins in one weekend. But we are going to take it one race at a time and then

we'll go from there." said Alvin as he signed some autographs for some of the fans. "Can you beat Ian Hawke again in the race tonight?" asked Jerry. "He is so going

down." said Alvin. "Thanks Alvin. I believe Vince Welch is with your girlfriend right now. Vince?" said Jerry. "Thanks Jerry. I am with Brittany right now, who is signing

autographs and taking photos with the fans. Brittany, how excited are you to be in the #22 car for Penske Racing once again?" asked Vince. "I'm excited. I hope to

finish 1-2 with Alvin again tonight, only this time, I hope it's ME out front." said Brittany. "Thanks Brittany." said Vince.

0o0o0o0

The pre-race ceremonies got through, the drivers got strapped in their cars, put on their helmets and HANS devices, and then the window nets went up and were

secured. Then, Alvin got to give the command again.

"DRIVERS, START YOUR ENGINES!" said Alvin excitedly. Then, as all 43 engines roared to life, Marty Reid began the race coverage.

"Hello race fans, and welcome to Iowa Speedway! I'm Marty Reid, alongside Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree. Dale, what will be the key to winning here tonight?" asked

Marty. "It will be getting track position when it is needed the most, and mistake-free pit stops will be the keys to winning this race tonight." said Jarrett. "Andy, do

you think Alvin can go 2-for-2 tonight?" asked Marty. "I hope he does!" said Petree. "Well then, let's take a look at the starting grid for the U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa

Speedway. Row 1 is #2 Alvin Seville and #20 Darrell Wallace Jr. Alvin is on the pole. Row 2 is #3 Theodore Seville and #30 Eleanor Seville. Row 3 is #31 Ian Hawke

and #33 Brendan Gaughan. Row 4 is #12 Sam Hornish Jr. and #18 Simon Seville. Row 5 is #11 Brian Scott and #99 Brett Moffitt. Row 6 is #6 Jeanette Seville and

#88 Cole Whitt. Row 7 is #22 Brittany Seville and #70 Johanna Long. Row 8 is #54 Dave Seville and #38 Brad Sweet. Row 9 is #43 Michael Annett and #7 Danica

Patrick. Row 10 is #23 Jamie Dick and #87 Joe Nemechek. Row 11 is #10 Mike Bliss and #81 Jason Bowles. Row 12 is #19 Tayler Malsam and #51 Jeremy

Clements. Row 13 is #39 Joey Gase and #44 John Blankenship. Row 14 is #91 Jeff Green and #40 Erik Darnell. Row 15 is #08 Josh Richards and #47 Matt

Dibenedetto. Row 16 is #46 Chase Miller and #01 Mike Wallace. Row 17 is #14 Eric McClure and #52 Justin Jennings. Row 18 is #71 Carl Long and #24 Scott

Saunders. Row 19 is #50 T.J. Bell and #42 Tim Schendel. Row 20 is #89 Morgan Shepherd and #74 Mike Harmon. Row 21 is #4 Daryl Harr and #41 Timmy Hill. And

starting last in row 22 is #15 Dusty Davis." said Marty as the field began their pace laps. "Let's see if we can talk to Jeanette, who is our ESPN In-Race Reporter

tonight, before the race goes green. Jeanette, this is Dale Jarrett up in the ESPN booth. You copy?" asked Jarrett. "Yeah, Dale. I got you." said Jeanette over the

radio. "Jeanette, you are making your first start in the #6 car for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. this season. How excited are you and do you think you can win from 11th spot

tonight?" asked Jarrett. "We'll see. I am just hoping for a solid night, looking to lead some laps, considering how Stenhouse is so strong here, and hoping to finish

strong." said Jeanette. "Jeanette, do you think you can get back on top of the points in Sprint Cup tomorrow?" asked Jarrett. "I hope so. I will be hoping to do that."

said Jeanette. "Alright Jeanette, good luck and have a safe night." said Jarrett. "10-4. You guys have a great night." said Jeanette. "The drivers that have on-board

cameras tonight are #2 Alvin Seville, #3 Theodore Seville, #6 Jeanette Seville, #7 Danica Patrick, #20 Darrell Wallace Jr., #22 Brittany Seville, #31 Ian Hawke, and

#43 Michael Annett." said Andy Petree. "And we have a bonus Nationwide Series Dash 4 Cash race. The four drivers competing for the $100,000 bonus are #3

Theodore Seville, who won it last week in Indianapolis with Michael Annett, #12 Sam Hornish Jr., #43 Michael Annett, and #6 Jeanette Seville." said Marty Reid. Alvin

and Sadler were talking on the radio.

"Alvin, you ready for some fun tonight?" asked Sadler. "You bet I am!" said Alvin over the radio. "We will do our job on pit road while you do your job on the track."

said Sadler. "You got it. Let's have some fun tonight." said Alvin. Then, the field got the one-to-go signal, and that was Dave's cue.

"Welcome back to Iowa Speedway! Be safe, have fun, and hopefully one of us will end up in Victory Lane at the end of the race." said Dave over the radio. "Okay

Dave!" said the six chipmunks. "Simon, what is the race analysis?" asked Dave. "Race length is 250 laps/218.75 miles. Pit window is 85-95 laps, and pit road speed is

40 mph." said Simon. "Thanks!" said Dave. Then, the pace car went to pit road, leaving the field in the hands of Alvin and Darrell Wallace Jr. Then, the green flag

flew.

"Green flag is in the air! We are racing in Iowa!" said Marty Reid as the field went side-by-side into turn 1. As Wallace Jr. cleared Alvin on the backstretch, Eleanor,

Theodore, and Ian were three-wide, but Eleanor pulled ahead, leaving Theodore and Ian side-by-side. But Eleanor then got loose, allowing Ian to slip past the couple

into third behind Alvin as Wallace Jr. led the first lap of the race. On lap 2, Brittany, Sweet, and Johanna Long were three-wide before Brittany pulled ahead in turn 3.

As Ian chased after Alvin, Theodore and Eleanor were still side-by-side for fourth while Simon and Scott fought for eighth and Dave, Brittany, and Jeanette tried to

make their way into the top 10. Finally, Theodore passed Eleanor for fourth and Scott cleared Simon for eighth while Ian and Alvin fought for second. Ian got past

Alvin on lap 5.

"Oh no." said Alvin to himself. On lap 7, Hornish got past Eleanor for fifth.

"Jason, I am a bit tight in the center of the turns." said Eleanor over the radio. "Okay. We'll work on it. Oh, Eleanor. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is

going to have a race at Eldora Speedway next July." said Leffler. "Eldora? You mean the dirt track?" asked Eleanor. "Yep. That's the one. Dirt racing is my specialty. I

race sprint cars. If you like, you and I can get together over there sometime early next week and we can run some laps. Deal?" asked Leffler. "Deal." said Eleanor as

Dave got past Gaughan for ninth on lap 8. Ian was still trying to hold off Alvin and catch Wallace Jr. at the same time.

"You and your friends had better take it easy on me, showoff!" said Ian angrily, referring to Alvin. "Ian, when you, my brothers, and the Chipettes are on the track,

we play rough. If it's just you and me, I do not play nice." said Alvin over the radio. "Well, sucks to be you. This is MY night." said Ian. "Not on my watch." said Alvin

to himself as Wallace Jr. continued to lead. On lap 19, Theodore passed Alvin for third.

"Be careful, Theodore." said Alvin to himself. On lap 21, Simon was side-by-side with Moffitt for 12th.

"I'm loose in the corners, Michael." said Simon over the radio. "Okay. We'll work on it on the first stop." said McDowell as Simon passed Moffitt for 12th. Ian,

however, got caught in lapped traffic, which allowed Theodore to close in for second! On lap 27, Theodore got past Ian for second!

"Yes! I got past Ian!" said Theodore to himself. But after that, Ian bumped Theodore's rear bumper.

"What was that for?! I made a fair move!" said Theodore. "Let it go, Theodore. Leave Ian to me." said Alvin over the radio. Ian, however, was mad.

"I will not let you get away, chubby one." said Ian. Theodore heard him. "I told you: DON'T CALL ME CHUBBY!" said Theodore angrily over the radio as he pulled

away from Ian. "My gosh! Can I not get a break here?" said Theodore to himself. On lap 35, Theodore caught Wallace Jr., who was caught in lapped traffic himself.

On lap 37, Theodore finally made his way past Wallace Jr. and into the race lead!

"Yes! Finally!" said Theodore to himself. Ian was fuming.

"Enjoy it while you can, chipmunk. You are not getting away from me." said Ian as Alvin chased after him. On lap 45, Theodore noticed the sun was becoming a

problem.

"The sun is giving me issues. Get some sunglasses for me and some tape for the windshield ready." said Theodore over the radio. "You got it, buddy." said Austin

Dillon. On lap 51, the caution came out. It was a competition caution because of the rain that passed through the area.

"Competition caution is out!" said Marty Reid as the field slowed down for the first time in the race. "Everyone's pitting because of the competition caution, Alvin."

said Sadler. "Got it." said Alvin over the radio. Sure enough, Theodore led everyone on the lead lap down pit road for tires, fuel, and adjustments. As requested, a pit

crew member handed Theodore a pair of sunglasses and some tape for the windshield. Theodore put on the sunglasses and quickly put the tape in position on the

inside of the windshield, and then handed back the tape. Everyone made their stops, and when the stops were complete, the top ten coming off pit road was

Theodore, Alvin, Gaughan, Ian, Hornish, Jeanette, Wallace Jr., Eleanor, Scott, and Dave. Everyone except Theodore and Gaughan took four tires. Theodore and

Gaughan took two tires.

"Nice work, guys! Nice work!" said Alvin over the radio. "Good hustle, everybody. Good hustle." said Sadler. Simon knew he had to do something before the

relationship between him and Jeanette got destroyed.

"Jeanette, I will admit that what I did was wrong. I'm sorry." said Simon as the field got the one-to-go signal. "No. I'm not accepting your apology until you decide to

come up to me, look me in the eyes, and admit that what you did was wrong. Until then, I am not talking to you. So stop talking to me, or I'm going to put you in the

wall." threatened Jeanette over the radio. "Alvin, help me out here." said Simon. "Sorry bro. You're on your own." said Alvin. Simon groaned to himself as the green

flag flew on lap 56.

"I am so doomed when Jeanette finds me." groaned Simon to himself as Alvin got past Theodore for the lead in turn 1. Ian tried to go three-wide, but he got

Theodore a bit loose, which was enough for Alvin to get by.

"Hey! He got me loose!" said Theodore angrily. "You're alright, bud. You're alright." said Austin Dillon. "I hope so." said Theodore to himself as he passed Ian. Alvin

held off Theodore and easily led the lap while Jeanette was side-by-side with Ian. On lap 59, Alvin and Theodore were side-by-side, and Theodore got ahead of Alvin

and held off long enough to lead the lap.

"See ya, Alvin!" said Theodore. Alvin chuckled to himself. "Get away from Ian, Theodore." said Alvin to himself. On lap 64, Dave came up behind Eleanor and gave

her rear bumper a tap, which got her loose and allowed Dave to get past Eleanor.

"Oh no, you don't, Dave. You're not getting ahead of me that easily." said Eleanor. Dave just chuckled to himself. But on lap 67, Hornish got past Eleanor for sixth.

"I'm loose in the exit of the corners, Jason." said Eleanor over the radio. "Okay. We'll working on it. Hang in there." said Jason Leffler. On lap 76, as Theodore

continued to lead, Brian Scott made an unscheduled pit stop under green because of a vibration. His crew changed all four tires, re-fueled the car, made some

adjustments, and then Scott got back on the track. On lap 84, as Theodore extended his lead, the top ten was Theodore, Alvin, Jeanette, Ian, Dave, Hornish, Eleanor,

Wallace Jr., Simon, and Gaughan. Brittany, however, was struggling.

"Ryan, I think we went way off on the setup. We need to take a huge swing at this thing next time we pit." said Brittany over the radio. "Okay. We'll keep working on

it." said Ryan Blaney, the son of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racer Dave Blaney. On lap 89, Clements was side-by-side with Blankenship, who was fighting to stay on

the lead lap, but the two racers made contact, which spun out Blankenship, bringing out the caution.

"Trouble in turn 2! John Blankenship has gone around! Caution is out!" said Marty Reid as the field slowed down again. "We're pitting, right Austin?" asked Theodore

over the radio. "Yes. We are pitting." said Austin Dillon. Theodore led everyone down pit road for tires, fuel, and adjustments. Everyone made their stops and when

the stops were complete, the top ten coming off pit road was Ian, Hornish, Simon, Eleanor, Whitt, Annett, Patrick, Alvin, Brittany, and Theodore.

"Everyone in front of us took fuel only, Alvin." said Sadler. Alvin groaned. "Please tell me whoever is in the lead is not who I think it is." said Alvin over the radio.

"Yes, Alvin. Ian Hawke is in the lead." said Sadler. "Oh no." groaned Alvin to himself. Ian, however, was happy.

"Yes! Finally I am leading! Now I can pull away from those chipmunks and get my first win in NASCAR!" said Ian to himself. On lap 95, the green flag flew and Ian

took off immediately. However, Simon thought Ian took off too early.

"He jumped the restart!" said Simon over the radio. "NASCAR's looking at it." said Michael McDowell. As Ian held off Simon and led the lap, Alvin, Theodore, Jeanette,

Dave, and Brittany were in a tight battle for ninth. Theodore and Alvin were able to break away while Simon tried to hold off Hornish for second. However, it was

allowing Ian to pull away.

"Those chipmunks won't catch me now." said Ian to himself as he pulled ahead to a 2.3 second lead over the field. Alvin, however, did not give up that easily.

"Okay, Ian Hawke. So this is so how you want to do it?" said Alvin to himself as he moved into fifth on lap 102, with Theodore and Eleanor in hot pursuit as Theodore

moved into sixth a lap later.

"Go get him, Alvin." said Theodore as he moved past Annett and Simon to move into fourth on lap 106. Seconds later, Alvin got past Hornish to move into second as

Ian continued to lead.

"Where is Alvin? Oh yeah. I left him in the dust." said Ian to himself, chuckling. On lap 117, Alvin was 2.8 seconds behind Ian.

"I refuse to lose to you, Ian Hawke." said Alvin. "Alvin, I never lose! And I will not lose to you! You're going down tonight, Alvin!" said Ian over the radio. "Not this

time!" said Alvin. On lap 118, Bowles came to pit road with engine trouble. He made it to pit road safely, so no caution came out. Simon was waiting for a report on

Ian jumping the restart.

"Ian was fine. He did not jump the restart." said Michael McDowell over the radio. Simon groaned to himself. One lap later, Moffitt got past Eleanor for 11th while

Theodore passed Hornish for third. On lap 122, Brittany was in 15th and struggling to keep up.

"I am going nowhere, Ryan. We so went way off on the setup in practice. This car is way too loose in the corners." said Brittany over the radio. "Okay. We'll keep

trying to work on it." said Ryan Blaney. "I hope that we do well when we come back here in September." said Brittany. "Yeah, me too." said Blaney. Finally, the race

reached the halfway point: lap 125.

"We made it to the halfway point, guys!" said Alvin over the radio. "Good. And I am still leading." said Ian. "We made it!" said Simon. "Woooohoooo!" said Theodore.

"Good." said Brittany. "Let's finish this!" said Jeanette. "Yes!" said Eleanor. "Well done!" said Dave. Then, Ian was starting to get the feeling that something was not

right.

"Where is he, Justin? The chipmunk! Where's the chipmunk?" asked Ian over the radio. "Focus on what you're doing, Ian. Don't worry about where Alvin is. The

spotter will handle that." said Justin Allgaier. As Ian continued to lead, Simon and Blankenship were side-by-side, but the two racers made contact, which caused

Simon to get loose, but Simon saved the car and continued on.

"Nice save, Simon!" said Dave over the radio as he escaped the incident with no problems. "Thanks Dave. Jeanette still won't accept my apology." said Simon. "I'll

deal with that at the next caution." said Dave. "Okay." said Simon as Jeanette ran one spot ahead of him in seventh. On lap 138, Theodore came to pit road for an

unscheduled pit stop under green because of a vibration.

"I have a vibration, Austin! I'm coming in! I have to pit NOW!" said Theodore over the radio. "Okay. Bring it in." said Austin Dillon. Theodore stopped in his stall, and

the pit crew changed all four tires. When Theodore got back on the track, he was one lap down in 21st. On lap 140, Alvin was closing in on Ian.

"WHAT?! How is this possible?! I had a two-second lead!" said Ian. "Did you miss me?" asked Alvin over the radio. "Laugh now. When I cross that finish line after 250

laps, I will be in Victory Lane because I am going to lead the most laps." said Ian. "Ian, just because you lead the most laps in a race doesn't mean you automatically

win a race. I led the most laps at the Sprint Cup Series race in Phoenix, but I ran out of fuel with two laps to go and finished second to Denny Hamlin." said Alvin.

"Yeah, and your anger exploded, and you threw a tantrum." said Ian. "How did you know about that?!" asked Alvin, now starting to get angry. "I was on Rattlesnake

Hill, watching you lose." said Ian. "Okay, Ian. Now you and I are about to have a problem." said Alvin as he closed the gap with 94 laps to go. "Oh my goodness. I

just gave racing tips to Ian Hawke." said Alvin to himself sarcastically. Two laps later, Dave was in third.

"I think we may have found something for late in the race, Kurt." said Dave over the radio. "Good. Keep up the good run." said Kurt Busch. As Ian continued to lead,

Jeanette was trying to get into the top five.

"I'd better get into the top five or else I am going to have a fit." said Jeanette to herself. With 78 laps to go, the third caution came out for debris.

"Debris in turn 3! Caution is out!" said Marty Reid as the field slowed down again. "Did we get the free pass?" asked Theodore over the radio. "No. Nemechek got the

free pass." said Austin Dillon. "Okay." said Theodore. Then, Ian led everyone on the lead lap down pit road for tires, fuel, and final adjustments. Everyone made their

stops, and when the stops were complete, the top ten coming off pit road was Ian, Dave, Alvin, Jeanette, Hornish, Annett, Moffitt, Gaughan, Simon, and Eleanor.

"During this caution, let's see if we can talk to Jeanette, our In-Race Reporter." said Marty Reid. "Jeanette, this is Dale Jarrett up in the ESPN booth. You copy?"

asked Jarrett. "Yeah Dale, I got you." said Jeanette over the radio. "Jeanette, you've been in and out of the top ten tonight. Can you get up to the front and win this

thing?" asked Jarrett. "I hope so. The only issue is getting past Ian. He's got such a strong car, I am starting to get a bit worried." said Jeanette. "Alright, Jeanette,

good luck to you and finish strong." said Jarrett. "Will do." said Jeanette. Dave then came on the radio.

"Jeanette, accept Simon's apology right now." said Dave. "I will not accept his apology until he looks me in the eye and admit that what he did was wrong." said

Jeanette over the radio. "I tried, Simon." said Dave to himself. Then, with 73 laps to go, the green flag flew, and Ian got out front quickly, leaving his friend Dave

side-by-side with Alvin for second. Ian held them both off and easily led the lap.

"Not this time, Ian Hawke." said Alvin to himself as he got past Dave with 70 laps to go. Theodore, however, was trying to get back on the lead lap.

"If I don't finish on the lead lap at the end of this race, I am not going to be happy." said Theodore. With 64 laps to go, Jeanette was in sixth. However, Simon was

right behind her.

"Well, well, well. Look who's back." said Jeanette. "Please accept my apology so our relationship doesn't get destroyed." said Simon over the radio. "No. You know

how we're doing that. After the race, in the RV. No exceptions." said Jeanette. Simon groaned to himself. With 60 laps to go, the race for the lead was heating up.

"I'm back. Did you miss me?" teased Alvin. "This chipmunk is really beginning to tick me off." said Ian to himself. With 59 laps to go, Alvin got such a good run off

turn 4, he was able to slingshot past Ian with 58 laps to go.

"Nice move, Alvin! Atta boy!" said Sadler. Alvin held off Ian and easily led the lap.

"Come on, Alvin. Don't let him get to you, bud." said Sadler with 48 laps to go. Eleanor was in ninth with 43 laps to go.

"I think we have a shot at the top ten tonight, Jason!" said Eleanor over the radio. "Good. Keep up the good run." said Jason Leffler. Brittany, however, was still

trying to get into the top ten.

"Ryan, if I get a top ten finish out of this, I'll take it." said Brittany over the radio. "It's alright, Brittany. Just hang in there." said Ryan Blaney. With 41 laps to go,

Danica Patrick scraped the wall on the frontstretch, but she kept the car from spinning, so no caution came out. With 38 laps to go, Eleanor and Gaughan raced side-

by-side into turn 4, but the two racers made contact, getting Gaughan loose and allowing Eleanor to hold onto the spot and pull away.

"Hey! Watch it!" said Eleanor as she and Gaughan made contact. "Sorry." said Gaughan over the radio. With 34 laps to go, Alvin was still leading.

"I don't know what adjustments you guys made to this car, but you have made it a contender for the win tonight. Nice work, guys!" said Alvin over the radio. "Good.

You can do this, bud. Just stay focused." said Sadler. With 27 laps to go, Ian was seven-tenths of a second behind.

"Come back with my lead!" said Ian as he tried to close the gap with 22 laps to go. Alvin, however, with 20 laps to go, noticed that Ian was trying to close in on him.

"How many more laps, Elliott?" asked Alvin over the radio. "20 more laps, bud. 20 more laps. You got this." said Sadler. "Let's finish this." said Alvin. Two laps later,

Brittany made three-wide pass on Gaughan AND Patrick in the same corner, putting the leader of the Chipettes in eleventh!

"Nice move, Brittany!" said Ryan Blaney. "Thanks. Alvin's been giving me pointers on how to race these cars." said Brittany over the radio. "Well, that's nice of him."

said Blaney. "Yeah. I hope Ian doesn't catch him." said Brittany. "He's fine." said Blaney. With 14 laps to go, Alvin extended his lead to 1 second over Ian. But with 6

laps to go, trouble struck Dave.

"Kurt, I have a right-front tire going down. I'm coming in NOW!" said Dave over the radio. "Okay, bring it in." said Kurt Busch. Sure enough, with 5 laps to go, Dave

pulled into his pit stall and the pit crew only changed the right-side tires. Dave then left the pits.

"The tire is shredded, Dave." said Kurt over the radio as Dave got back on the track in 18th, one lap down. "Glad I did not hit the wall." said Dave to himself. 4 laps

later, Alvin saw the white flag.

"White flag is in the air! One lap to go for Alvin!" said Marty Reid as the field took the white flag. "One more lap, Alvin. One more lap. You got this, bud." said Sadler

over the radio as Alvin went down the backstretch for the final time. Then, Alvin saw the checkered flag.

"In Indianapolis, Alvin was robbed of a win, but tonight, he will not be denied! Alvin Seville wins in Iowa!" said Marty Reid as the field took the checkered flag.

"WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! HAHAHA! WE WON IOWA, BOYS! WE WON IOWA!" said Alvin excitedly over the radio on the cool-down

lap. "Way to go, Alvin!" said Simon. "Yeah, Alvin!" said Theodore. "That's my boy!" said Brittany. "Nice work, Alvin!" said Jeanette. "You did it!" said Eleanor. "Atta

boy, Alvin!" said Dave. "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I led the most laps and HE wins the race?! Unbelieveable!" growled Ian. Alvin did a big burnout on the

frontstretch, got unbuckled, took off his helmet, climbed out of the car, and celebrated with the fans as fireworks lit up the night sky while Hornish celebrated his win

in the final Nationwide Series Dash 4 Cash race after finishing third. Alvin then ran up to the flagstand, got the checkered flag, put his helmet back on and then got

buckled back into the car, and with the checkered flag in his hand, he drove off to Victory Lane as Ian left the track. Alvin then parked in Victory Lane a moment

later, shut off the engine, got unbuckled, took off his helmet, HANS device, and gloves, put on a OneMain Financial Racing hat, climbed out of the car, and then the

big celebration began!

"Woooooohoooooo! Yeah baby! Yes! Yes! Yes!" said Alvin excitedly as he was showered in Gatorade and confetti. Shannon Spake came and interviewed Alvin.

"Alvin, after suffering that devastating loss at Indy, you bounced back and won tonight! How does this feel?" asked Shannon. "It feels awesome. I want to thank the

good Lord Jesus Christ. He led us down the right path, and it led towards victory. I just can't thank these guys enough. This feels great." said Alvin as he took a sip of

Coca-Cola. "And your family is here!" said Shannon as Dave, Simon, Theodore, Jeanette, and Eleanor gathered with Alvin for a group hug. Then, Alvin and Brittany

shared a warm kiss, earning an "Awwww!" from everyone watching in Victory Lane. Then, Dave and the five other chipmunks went to the other side of Victory Lane,

took out his camera, and took photos of Alvin and the #2 OneMain Financial Racing team.

After an hour and a half of photos and interviews, plus the trip to the media center, Dave and the six tired chipmunks headed back to the RV with Alvin's trophy.

Simon knew he needed to make things right with Jeanette.

"Jeanette, I'm sorry. What I did was wrong." said Simon. "Thank you. You are forgiven. Goodnight." said Jeanette as Dave closed the RV doors, started the engine,

and drove back to Pocono Raceway. "Wow. That was quick." said Simon to himself. Dave arrived at Pocono Raceway a few hours later, parked in the infield, shut off

the engine, went to the back of the RV, and fell asleep on the bed while the chipmunks slept on the couch.

The next morning, when Simon got up first as usual, he looked outside and the scenery was not pleasant. It was raining and windy, and it was raining HARD.

"Oh no." said Simon. "What is it, Simon? I'm trying to sleep here!" said Alvin. "It's raining hard. Emphasis on 'hard'." said Simon. "Oh great. Just what we need. Rain

during my shot at the weekend sweep." said Alvin sarcastically. "I'm sure it will clear up, Alvin." said Theodore as he slept. "I hope you are right." said Alvin. Then,

Nicole Briscoe started the pre-race show.

"Hello race fans, and welcome to Pocono Raceway! I'm Nicole Briscoe, alongside Brad Daugherty and special guest Alvin Seville, who is starting 21st, once we get this

race going. Alvin, you are 2-for-2 this weekend. Can you complete the weekend sweep today?" asked Nicole. "Well, as long as the weather cooperates, we'll have to

see. This is not my strongest track, but we are going to give it our best shot today. And I see the jet driers on the track!" said Alvin happily. "Well Brad? Do you think

the race will reach the halfway point to be an official race today?" asked Nicole. "We'll see if the weather holds up." said Brad. "And Alvin, I believe Jamie Little is with

your girlfriend right now. Jamie?" said Nicole.

"That's right, Nicole, I am with Brittany, who is signing autographs for the fans now that the rain has stopped. Brittany, only a few more weeks to go until the Chase

starts. Can you get another win before the Chase begins?" asked Jamie. "We'll see what happens. It would be nice to get another win before the Chase starts.

Hopefully we can get the entire race in today." said Brittany. "Thanks Brittany. I believe Mike Massaro is with Jeanette right now. Mike?" said Jamie. "Thanks Jamie. I

am with Jeanette who is sitting on the top of her team's pit box, which is covered with a tarp to keep her dry. Jeanette, can you get the points lead back today?"

asked Mike. "We'll see. As long as we don't have any mistakes, run a solid race, and make the right moves on the track, we should be fine." said Jeanette. "Thanks

Jeanette." said Mike.

After an hour and a half delay due to the track-drying efforts, the pre-race ceremonies got through, the drivers got strapped into their cars, put on their helmets,

HANS devices, and gloves, and then the window nets went up and were secured. Then, Brittany got to give the command.

"DRIVERS, START YOUR ENGINES!" said Brittany excitedly. As all 43 engines roared to life, Allen Bestwick started the race coverage.

"Hello race fans and welcome to Pocono Raceway! I'm Allen Bestwick, alongside Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree. Dale, since it rained, all of the rubber was washed off

the track. These drivers will be on a green racetrack. How will that effect the grip level of these tires?" asked Allen. "That's a very good question, Allen. I believe that

it will be slick on the track, and these guys are going to be all over the place, trying to find grip." said Jarrett. "You're absolutely right, Dale. And the crew chiefs and

spotters will also be keeping their eyes on the sky as the rain clouds loom over the track today." said Andy. "Well then, let's take a look at the starting grid for the

Pennsylvania 400 at Pocono Raceway. Row 1 is #42 Juan Pablo Montoya and #11 Denny Hamlin. Montoya is on the pole. Row 2 is #27 Paul Menard and #5 Eleanor

Seville. Row 3 is #9 Marcos Ambrose and #51 Kurt Busch. Row 4 is #17 Jeanette Seville and #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Row 5 is #39 Dave Seville and #48 Jimmie

Johnson. Row 6 is #78 Regan Smith and #16 Greg Biffle. Row 7 is #43 Aric Almirola and #20 Joey Logano. Row 8 is #56 Martin Truex Jr. and #1 Jamie McMurray.

Row 9 is #99 Carl Edwards and #55 Mark Martin. Row 10 is #15 Theodore Seville and #18 Kyle Busch. Row 11 is #29 Alvin Seville and #83 Landon Cassill. Row 12 is

#31 Jeff Burton and #10 David Reutimann. Row 13 is #22 Sam Hornish Jr. and #38 David Gilliland. Row 14 is #24 Jeff Gordon and #14 Simon Seville. Row 15 is

#13 Casey Mears and #19 Mike Bliss. Row 16 is #2 Brittany Seville and #34 David Ragan. Row 17 is #23 Scott Riggs and #26 Josh Wise. Row 18 is #37 J.J. Yeley

and #30 David Stremme. Row 19 is #93 Travis Kvapil and #87 Joe Nemechek. Row 20 is #47 Bobby Labonte and #91 Reed Sorenson. Row 21 is #32 Jason White

and #36 Tony Raines. And starting last in row 22 is #98 Mike Skinner." said Allen Bestwick as the field began their pace laps. "The drivers that will have on-board

cameras today are #2 Brittany Seville, #11 Denny Hamlin, #14 Simon Seville, #15 Theodore Seville, #20 Joey Logano, #48 Jimmie Johnson, #55 Mark Martin, and

#88 Dale Earnhardt Jr." said Andy. Simon and Jeff Gordon were talking on the radio.

"I get to start next to my favorite NASCAR driver! This is such an honor, Jeff!" said Simon over the radio. "The honor is mine." said Gordon. "I hope you get a win this

season. I would love to see you in the Chase this season." said Simon. "I hear you, Simon. I hear you." said Gordon. Then, as the field got the one-to-go signal, Dave

came on the radio.

"Welcome back to Pocono Raceway! Be safe, have fun, and hopefully one of us will end up in Victory Lane today. But if the race ends early because of the rain, we

leave after Victory Lane after their festivities are done if one of us wins. If not, we leave the track immediately." said Dave over the radio. "Okay, Dave!" said the six

chipmunks. "Simon, what is the race analysis for today?" asked Dave. "Race length is 160 laps/400miles. Pit window is 26-30 laps, and pit road speed is 55 mph."

said Simon. "Thanks!" said Dave. Raines dropped to 43rd because of an engine change. Then, the pace car went to pit road, leaving the field in the hands of Montoya

and Hamlin. Then, the green flag was in the air.

"Green flag is in the air! We're racing at Pocono Raceway!" said Allen Bestwick as the field raced side-by-side into turn 1. Montoya got in front of Hamlin quickly as

everyone else went three-wide behind them. Hamlin got ahead of Montoya going into turn 2, but Montoya got a good enough run off the corner to pull back up beside

Hamlin, performing the crossover. Montoya held off Hamlin and easily led the first lap of the race. On lap 2, Montoya and Hamlin went back-and-forth for the lead so

much, it allowed Ambrose to close in on them! Montoya held them off and led lap 2. On lap 3, Brittany was starting to make her way to the front.

"Paul, I hope we leave here with a good amount of points today." said Brittany over the radio. "We'll get up to the front. Just be patient and stay focused." said Paul

Wolfe. On lap 4, Menard got past Jeanette for seventh.

"I hope we have a strong points day today, Jimmy. I want to get us back into the points lead." said Jeanette over the radio. "Don't worry, Jeanette. We will. Just stay

focused here." said Jimmy Fenning. On lap 6, as Earnhardt Jr. passed Kurt Busch for third, Jeanette got back past Menard for seventh. One lap later, Theodore got

past Smith for 19th.

"I'm really loose in the corners, Brian. I can't hold it on the bottom of the track." said Theodore over the radio. "Okay. Just hang in there bud. We'll work on it on the

first pit stop." said Brian Pattie. On lap 8, Hamlin got past Montoya for the lead as Eleanor passed Ambrose for fifth. As Hamlin led the lap, Eleanor also got past Kurt

Busch for fourth.

"I think we have a really strong car today, Kenny." said Eleanor over the radio. "Good. Just stay focused and keep up the good run." said Kenny Francis. On lap 11,

Earnhardt Jr. took the lead from Hamlin. Alvin, however, was trying to make his way through the field.

"I'm way tight in the corners, Shane." said Alvin over the radio. "Okay. We'll work on it on the first stop." said Shane Wilson. Four laps later, Eleanor passed Hamlin.

On lap 19, the first caution of the race came out after Kyle Busch hit the wall, adding to his mid-season struggles.

"Trouble in turn 1! Kyle Busch is in the wall! Caution is out!" said Allen Bestwick as the field slowed down for the first time in the race. "Are we pitting?" asked Eleanor

over the radio. "Yes, we are pitting. Everyone's going to pit." said Kenny Francis. "Got it." said Eleanor as Kyle Busch made it back to pit road safely. Sure enough,

Earnhardt Jr., Eleanor's teammate, led everyone on the lead lap, except McMurray, Martin, and Brittany, down pit road. Most of the drivers got two tires, fuel, and

adjustments. Everyone made their stops and when the stops were complete, the top ten coming off pit road was Earnhardt Jr., Montoya, Jeanette, Eleanor, Biffle,

Hamlin, Johnson, Menard, Dave, and Truex.

"Nice work, guys! Nice work! All we have to do is just keep Earnhardt Jr. in our sights, and we'll be in good shape." said Jeanette over the radio. "Yep. Just stay

focused here." said Jimmy Fenning. Eleanor, however, was a bit miffed.

"I nearly got hit by Kvapil in the #93 car!" said Eleanor over the radio. "It's alright. Just calm down, take a deep breath, and concentrate on the race." said Alvin.

"Alvin, your cheerleading is horrible. Just be quiet and let me drive!" said Eleanor. "How rude." said Alvin as the green flag flew on lap 22. The field raced side-by-side

through turn 1 before McMurray cleared Martin on the backstretch while Theodore and Kurt Busch got shuffled out of line.

"Woah, Kurt! Watch it!" said Theodore to himself. As McMurray held off Brittany to lead the lap, Earnhardt Jr. and Jeanette, who were first and second in points

coming into the race, both passed Martin for third and fourth. On lap 24, Brittany got past McMurray for the lead, but Earnhardt Jr. was in hot pursuit as he passed

McMurray a second later. Brittany held him off to lead her first lap of the day.

"Finally led my first lap of the day." said Brittany to herself. On lap 25, Eleanor got past Montoya for eighth. One lap later, Jeanette got past McMurray for third as

Dave passed Montoya for ninth. On the same lap, Kurt Busch, who was running in 17th, got loose and dropped to 23rd. On lap 31, Martin, who did not pit during the

caution, came to pit road under green for his stop. On lap 32, Brittany came to pit road for her stop, handing the lead over to Alvin's favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt

Jr., with Johnson in second and Jeanette in third. Brittany made her stop and then came off pit road in 34th. On lap 35, the top ten was Earnhardt Jr., Johnson,

Jeanette, Biffle, Eleanor, Dave, Edwards, Menard, Gordon, and Theodore. On lap 36, Alvin was 16th and finally in the top 20, but still thought something did not feel

right.

"I think we're still a bit off on where my comfort level is." said Alvin over the radio. "Okay. We'll do what we can." said Shane Wilson. On lap 39, Johnson took the

lead from Earnhardt Jr. Six laps later, Eleanor got past Biffle for fourth as Simon finally got into ninth while Kyle Busch returned to the race.

"I think the car is starting to come to life, Steve." said Simon over the radio. "Good. How's the car feeling?" asked Steve Addington. "It's fine for the most part. I'm

just a bit free in the center of the corner in turn 2." said Simon. "Okay. We'll work on that." said Addington. "I actually like having the Back to School paint scheme on

this car. I also thought I'd mess with Alvin a bit, considering how he dislikes going to school, although he does it anyway." said Simon. "Simon Seville, you are one

smart and sneaky chipmunk." said Addington. "I try." said Simon, focusing back on the race. On lap 47, Hamlin and Theodore both came to pit road to begin a round

of green-flag pit stops. As Theodore left the pits, Johnson, his favorite driver, gave up the lead to pit and was followed by Hornish, Reutimann, Smith, Truex,

Earnhardt Jr., Biffle, Menard, White, Labonte, Montoya, Alvin, Dave, Jeanette, Edwards, Gordon, Simon, Eleanor, Almirola, Ambrose, Logano, Kurt Busch Kvapil,

Cassill, Gilliland, Ragan, and Burton. But on lap 49, trouble struck for Earnhardt Jr.

"Trouble for Dale Earnhardt Jr., the points leader! The transmission has gone awry on the #88 Mountain Dew car! This could be a huge hit for that team in the

points." said Allen Bestwick as Earnhardt Jr. slowed on the track.

"Oh no! Dale, what are you doing?" asked Alvin as he went by. "Transmission's dead. Going to the garage." said Earnhardt Jr. "Aw man!" said Alvin. Earnhardt Jr.

made it safely to the garage area, so no caution came out. However, Jeanette was on the other end of the track when Earnhardt Jr. slowed.

"The #88 car's transmission just died." said Jimmy Fenning. "Understood." said Jeanette, focusing on the race. After the round of green flag pit stops was completed,

the top ten on lap 54 was Johnson, Brittany, Jeanette, Eleanor, Martin, Biffle, McMurray, Edwards, Dave, and Gordon. 7 laps later, as Johnson continued to lead,

Martin was back on pit road for a green-flag pit stop. Not long after that, Brittany came in for her stop. Martin, McMurray, and Brittany were all on a different pit stop

cycle and off sequence.

"Paul, what's the plan? Pit with everyone else at the next caution or what?" asked Brittany over the radio. "We'll probably pit with everyone else at the next caution."

said Paul Wolfe. "Okay. Your call." said Brittany. On lap 68, Jeff Gordon, Simon's favorite driver, was in fifth.

"Where are you, Jeff? I'm in ninth and I lost sight of you." said Simon over the radio. "I'm in fifth. You're about eight seconds behind me. That's why you lost sight of

me." said Gordon. On lap 69, Dale Earnhardt Jr., after getting the transmission replaced in his car, got back on the track in 32nd, 18 laps down. One lap later, Logano

came to pit road to begin another round of green-flag pit stops. Hamlin then came to pit road and was followed by Menard, Kyle Busch, Smith, Alvin, Almirola,

Theodore, Burton, Biffle, Truex, Johnson, Ambrose, Dave, Simon, Eleanor, Gordon, Jeanette, Gilliland, Ragan, Edwards, Kvapil, Hornish, Kurt Busch, Cassill, and

Montoya. But during Eleanor's stop, she ran over the air hose, which meant she needed to back up to get the hose free, but it cost her time.

"Darn it! Ran over the air hose and I lose track position?! Swell! Just swell!" said Eleanor, clearly upset. Alvin, however, had issues of his own.

"Darn it." said Alvin. "What is it, Alvin? What's wrong?" asked Shane Wilson over the radio. "The clouds are rolling back in and they don't look too pretty. That rain

inside of them looks heavy." said Alvin. "Just do what you can here, bud. Leave the weather to me." said Wilson. Finally, the race reached the halfway point: lap 80.

"We made it to the halfway point!" said Eleanor. "Awesome!" said Alvin. "Sweet!" said Simon. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" said Theodore. "Good!" said Brittany. "Alright!" said

Jeanette. "Nice!" said Dave. On lap 83, the top ten was Johnson, Jeanette, Brittany, Biffle, Martin, Eleanor, Gordon, Edwards, Truex, and Dave. But three laps later,

Kurt Busch spun and hit the wall in turn 2, bringing out the caution.

"Trouble in turn 2! Kurt Busch has hit the wall HARD! Caution is out!" said Allen Bestwick as the field slowed down again. During the caution, Martin, McMurray,

Hornish, Logano, Hamlin, and Alvin all pitted. Brittany, however, seemed confused.

"I thought we were going to pit." said Brittany over the radio. "The rain looks heavy and the clouds are coming in. We're going to try and go for it." said Paul Wolfe.

"Okay. Well, if I can get to the inside of Johnson on the restart, I can try to beat him into turn 1." said Brittany. "Alright. Go get 'em." said Paul Wolfe. On lap 90, the

green flag flew and the field raced side-by-side into turn 1. But as the field went into turn 1, Johnson slid up the track and into Jeanette, almost hitting Brittany,

causing Jeanette and Biffle to hit the wall while Johnson recovered, and Jeanette lost control of her car and slid right down the track and into the path of Hamlin,

causing him to t-bone Jeanette's car, bringing out the caution.

"Trouble in turn 1! Johnson is loose, Jeanette and Biffle are in the wall, and Hamlin t-bones Jeanette! The points leader is involved! Caution is out!" said Allen

Bestwick as the field slowed down again. "COME ON! WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN?!" yelled Jeanette as she drove away from the wreck while Hamlin climbed out

of his car unhurt. As the wreck unfolded, Gordon got through unscathed and grabbed the lead, followed by Eleanor, Truex, Brittany, Simon, Dave, Edwards,

Theodore, Smith, and Ambrose. Jeanette was fuming.

"You alright, Jeanette?" asked Jimmy Fenning. "I am, but my car's not! I got t-boned by Hamlin!" said Jeanette angrily over the radio as she came to pit road for

repairs. "Just calm down. You'll be alright." said Fenning. Then, Eleanor felt something funny.

"Kenny, one of my tires may be going flat. I think I ran over some of the debris." said Eleanor over the radio. "Okay. If we get the one-to-go signal, we'll pit." said

Kenny Francis. "Okay. 10-4." said Eleanor. Then, on lap 98, it started to rain. The red flag was shown.

"Everyone is going to be parked on pit road. It's raining." said Kenny Francis. "Okay. 10-4." said Eleanor over the radio. Sure enough, Jeff Gordon, following the pace

car, led everyone down pit road and stopped near the exit of pit road. The drivers then shut off the engines, got unbuckled, took off their helmets, HANS devices, and

gloves, climbed out of their cars, and quickly ran towards the garage area for cover while the fans cleared the stands and ran for cover as well.

"Do you think the race will get back going?" asked Simon as he and Jeff Gordon ran towards the temporary Victory Lane area in the garage area. "I don't know. The

rain looks pretty heavy." said Gordon. Then, the rain became heavier as the chipmunks waited with Simon and Gordon, except for Eleanor, who was called to the

ESPN Pit Studio for an interview. Then, lighting started striking.

"I don't think the race is going to continue." said Alvin. "You're right." said Jeanette. Then, the call was made.

"Jeff Gordon has been declared the winner of the Pennsylvania 400 at Pocono!" said the track announcer. "WOOOOOHOOOOO! YES! YES! YES! Way to go, Jeff

Gordon! You did it!" said Simon as he and Jeff Gordon were showered in Gatorade. Eleanor was in the Pit Studio.

"Hello race fans. The race has been declared over, but we are happy to have Eleanor up here in the ESPN Pit Studio. Eleanor, welcome into the studio." said Nicole

Briscoe. "Thanks. Glad to be here. And Ray, I heard Kasey Kahne used to race for you." said Eleanor. "As a matter of fact, he did. We worked pretty well together,

and then we kind of fell apart and moved on. We're still good friends though." said Evernham. "So, Eleanor, how do you feel you ran today?" asked Brad Daugherty.

"I feel like we had a winning car today. If I hadn't run over the air hose, I felt like we could've had a shot at the win." said Eleanor. "Eleanor, how do you think you'll

do at Watkins Glen next weekend?" asked Rusty Wallace. "I don't know. We'll see. Road courses are not exactly my strong suits." said Eleanor. "Well, we'll let you get

back to your family, who is waiting with your teammate, Jeff Gordon. Dave Burns?" said Nicole.

"Thanks Nicole. I am actually with Jeff Gordon and Simon Seville right now. Jeff, how does it feel to finally get a win?" asked Dave. "It feels so awesome. I'm glad this

team got us to Victory Lane. It's not how I planned to win today, but we'll take it." said Gordon. "Simon, Jeff Gordon is your favorite driver. How are you feeling right

now?" asked Dave. "I'm so happy! I would love to stay, but I'm going to take photos of Gordon and his team, and then I'm out of here." said Simon. Sure enough, he

went to the other side of Victory Lane, got Dave's camera, and took photos of Jeff Gordon and the #24 Drive to End Hunger team.

After Simon got his photos, Dave and the six chipmunks quickly started to run to the RV. As they were running, the lightning strikes continued. But as the six

chipmunks ran, Jeanette slipped on the soaking wet ground, causing her to hit the ground and knock her glasses off. "AAAAAAAAH! OW! OW! OW! MY ANKLE! MY

ANKLE!" screamed Jeanette in pain. "Oh no! Jeanette!" said Alvin. "Hurry, Simon!" said Brittany. Simon grabbed Jeanette and carefully carried her back to the RV

while Alvin grabbed Jeanette's glasses. And Dave and the six chipmunks made it to the RV soaking wet, but thankfully, alive.

"Oh, ow! My ankle hurts!" cried Jeanette as she lied on the couch. "Shhhh. It's okay, Jeanette. It's okay. I'm right here." said Simon in a comforting and soothing

voice as Dave closed the RV doors, started the engine, and left the track. "W-w-what happened? Are we okay? And where are my glasses?" asked Jeanette. "Right

here, Jeanette." said Alvin as he put Jeanette's glasses back on. "Thanks Alvin. You're a great friend." said Jeanette. The two chipmunks shared a friendly hug and

then Simon took care of Jeanette's ankle until they were back in their warm and cozy house.

"How bad is it?" asked Jeanette, dressed in her pajamas after she and the other chipmunks took turns taking their showers. "It's a minor sprain. You'll be okay to

race at Watkins Glen on Saturday." said Simon, dressed in his pajamas too. "Good. I don't want to let Carl Edwards down." said Jeanette. "You won't." said Simon. He

and Jeanette then shared a warm kiss. "I love you, Simon." said Jeanette. "I love you too, Jeanette." said Simon. Then, Alvin came into the room as Dave put Alvin's

trophies in the trophy case in the living room.

"Guys, I have sad news. I was just on the Pocono Raceway website and a spectator was killed by a lightning strike after the race. Nine others were hurt, one is

critically injured." said Alvin sadly. The five other chipmunks gasped in horror. "Oh my." said Jeanette. "The spectator that was killed was 41-year old Brian

Zimmerman from Moosic, Pennsylvania." said Alvin. "Oh no. How sad. Was there anything they could've done to save him?" asked Jeanette. Alvin responded by sadly

shaking his head. "Oh my goodness." said Jeanette to herself as she got into bed. "I'm sure there will be something done to help the families of the victims." said

Alvin. Dave then turned out the lights after the chipmunks were in bed, then he took his shower, brushed his teeth, put on his pajamas, and then went to bed

himself. The six chipmunks slept comfortably in their warm and cozy bunk beds, hoping for a solid weekend at Watkins Glen.

Wow! What a race weekend! Alvin won 2 out of 3 races, which included his very first win in the Camping World Truck Series, but Simon's favorite
