I have no idea what happened to the update.. Lol
Any normal women would freak out to hear that their water broke. Well, me? I'm not normal. I laughed. Of course, shock settled in.
"Rose! You're in fucking labor!" Lissa screamed, which was weird because she never cursed.
The adrenaline must've distracted me from contractions but now that I'm completely aware, the next contraction didn't come so easily. I doubled as I felt pain on my lower stomach. The feeling is so different that I couldn't even put it into words. When I focused into reality, I find myself on the floor, clutching Lissa's hand.
On the ground, clutching a stake to kill Strigoi while worrying for the love of your life, everything just came to realization.
My life is messed up.
"CHRISTIAN!" She snapped before lowering her voice as calm as she could make it, "Get some help."
"No." I said, "We have to go." While clenching my teeth, I stand up. The contraction had gone away but the fact that it's going to get worse just brings enough pain.
"Rose, you're in labor! Stay put and I'll get help." Lissa said as she got up.
"No. Lissa we need to leave and now circumstances are worse. If I have this baby now.." I let myself fade way before I told them what was really going on.
With one hand on the small of my back and the other clutching the stake, I began to walk quickly ahead. I didn't get too far without feeling discomfort. Nausea rocketed me and before I got the realization that Strigoi was near.
"ROSE WATCH OUT!" I heard Lissa scream before I jumped into action.
My hand whipped out to his side while the other came up with the stake. Knowing I'd miss his face, my leg whirled to knocked him down to give me easy access to his heart. Which was now staked.
I look up to see that Lissa and Christian ran for safety, which was smart. Since she was very high on emotions, I decide to go into her head for a second. I see wooden beams and that's all I have to see for me to know that they were in the church.
I got there as fast as I could without any encounters. Alarms are blaring loudly and they're people running frantic. They're mostly on the north side of Court, I concluded.
When I went inside and found them, I sighed of relief. Lissa ran up to me and inspected every inch of my body to see if I was hurt. Then she backed up and look at my belly. She didn't say anything but she didn't need to.
"Haven't had a contraction." I said softly.
"Yet." Lissa said exclaimed, "We really need to get you to a hospital, Rose. You're 7 months pregnant. She's premature."
Then I broke, "You don't think I know that? I'm terrified that I lose her. That I lose you. That I lose Dimitri. Even that I lose that goof over there," I said pointing to Christian, with tears on my face.
Lissa put her hands on both my face and made me look at her, "Stop that. Right now, you need to worry about losing her and you. If anything happens to her, you're going to lose every single drop of Rose. So let me get you to where you need to be. Please." By the time she was done, she was whispering. Also crying.
I nodded quickly and said some quick "Okay."
Lissa straightened out and turned to Christian, "Okay, you need to go find Dimitri and tell him what's going on."
He shakes his head, "I am not leaving your side. There are probably hundreds of Strigoi out there."
She smiled and looked at me, "I have protection."
It took three minutes to convince Christian to go find Dimitri. Another contraction had came and gone. I could still walk but it was hard. All I felt was an odd pressure in my lower region.
"Lissa, how're you gonna get me to a hospital?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it!" She said cheerfully.
Then we reached the security area. Guys are scrambling into vans and running to main Court. She runs up to a moving van and tells the driver to stop. When he gets out of the car to tell her to get the hell out of the way, she puts a smile on her face.
"You're going to get in the car and drive us to the nearest hospital." She said in her most heavenly voice.
Compulsion.
The drive nodded and Lissa helped me into the van. From here, I could see how much destruction the Court is getting into.
I'm finally seated in the bed of the van when the next contraction hits. This one hit hard. Lissa saw the pain in my face so she went to my side and gripped my hand.
"Just breathe, Rose. It's gonna be okay. I promise."
When it passes she gets up to try to close the two back doors. My anxiety hitches up when I see Strigoi have arrived down here. They haven't found me yet, but we need to go before they do. I was going to close my eyes when I see a running figure zoom towards the van.
Dimitri.
I got up as fast as I could and I started screaming, "Dimitri! Come on!" I didn't realize there were tears on my face until I heard it in my voice.
Just as he got closer, he was swallowed in a swarm of Strigoi.
"DIMIT-" I screamed until my hands are slapped on my face to cover my mouth. The Strigoi don't know I'm in this but if I keep screaming they will.
I let out muffled screams as Lissa closes the doors with a pained expression. Her eyes say "I'm sorry, but we have to go Rose." Lissa tells the driver to drive and we did.
Dimitri was the last thing I said before contractions led my words to screams.
WOOT UPDAAAATE! This story reached more than 40k views!
I know, my updates are so stretched out but I'm really busy.
Anyway, I think this is a pretty long chapter so you're very very welcome, aha.
Okay; I obviously have never gone through pregnancy nor have I birthed a child so I am obviously not gonna have some things right so the technicalities are not that important okay?
If something is wrong and it regards to the pregnancy; just leave it because I know I'm no expert on that kind of stuff. XD
Liked this chapter? Fave to let me know!
Want to give me some feedback? Review and I'll see it!
Thank you so much for reading!
