Harry's point of view
"It's a Remembrall!" Neville explained. "Gran knows I forget things - this tells you if there's something you've forgotten to do. Look, you hold it tight like this and if it turns red - oh..." His face fell, because the Remembrall had suddenly glowed scarlet,
"You've forgotten something..."
I wondered what Neville had forgotten this time. His faced scrunched up in concentration as if he was trying to remember. That is till Malfoy reached out and grabbed it. I was ready to fight him. I didn't understand what gave him the right to just push people around money or not, no one has a good excuse to be a bully. McGonagall who can smell trouble was there within seconds.
What's going on?"
"Malfoy's got my Remembrall, Professor." Neville squeaked.
Scowling, Malfoy quickly dropped the Remembrall back on the table.
"Just looking," he said, and he went to walk away with Crabbe and Goyle behind him.
Funnily enough when he passed Fira he fell flat on his face even though no one saw her leg move.
"Fira, what did you do?" Professor McGonagall asked with a wary look in her eyes.
Looking at the professor Fira gave an innocent look, "I didn't do anything professor, he's just clumsy." McGonagall gave her a stern unbelieving look. "I swear for once my life it's true, I couldn't have even if I wanted to my legs are too short I would have had to be standing right beside him."
There was truth in that Fira was short. Compared to her Ron looked like a giant. I don't think I have ever seen her actually look small though. I would think little like she was she would be easily intimidated but, she was usually the one who stood up for just about everyone.
McGonagall stared Fira down with a look that would have me in tears for a few moments but Fira didn't even flinch smiling up at her. McGonagall shook her head and walked away not quite believing Fira, but not caring enough to do anything about it I think.
"What a Teacher's Pet, Gryffindor."
"Malfoy, I can't believe you just called yourself a Gryffindor." Fira said with a gasp. Scowling Malfoy went to say something back but Crabbe and Goyle dragged him off.
All too soon we were dragging Fira away as well, to flying lessons!
Fira's point of view
Flying was the topic of the conversation that surrounded us as we walked down to the field. Actually I wasn't walking Harry and Ron both had a firm grasp on my arms and were walking way faster than I intended to, hence the dragging.
"Ah look at that, the little girl is so weak she can't even walk. Poor toddler do want some help being carried."
'No thank you I have actually gentleman to drag me I would hate to impose on a girl such as you." I said not really thinking about me response; I can broad over how stupid it is later. I watched in satisfaction though as Malfoy flinched at being called a girl, it was obviously still a sore subject for him.
"Well you know the only problem with your face, I can see it." Draco shoots back. Was that even really an insult though I mean I would much prefer he didn't see my face.
"Don't get insulted, but is your job devoted to spreading ignorance?" I said, as I was still debating whether or not his last insult was worth responding to.
"You are just so petty. You can't understand my rare intelligence."
"You're right, you're intelligent thoughts are so rare I can't remember the last time you had one" Unfortunately we had kept walking during are little discussion and Madam Hooch had shown up and was blowing her whistle telling everyone to stand by their broom. I wanted to really I did but it was currently looked in Minerva's closet locked in a box that was inside another box that was in a chest. So I did the next best thing and stood by the broom that was on the other side of Harry.
"Stick out your right hand over your broom," called Madam Hooch at the front, "and say 'Up!"'
"UP' everyone shouted. I didn't feel like yelling but I did anyways and the broom jumped into my hand.
Harry's broom jumped into his hand at once, but it was one of the few that did. Hermione Granger's (Maybe if I give her some pointers she'll be more willing to be friends) had simply rolled over on the ground, and Neville's hadn't moved at all. Brooms, like horses, can tell when you were afraid; there was a quaver in Neville's voice that said only too clearly that he wanted to keep his feet on the ground.
Madam Hooch then showed us how to mount their brooms without sliding off the end, and walked up and down the rows correcting their grips. Harry and Ron were delighted when she told Malfoy he'd been doing it wrong for years. She didn't even look at my grip it didn't matter I'd done it right.
"Now, when I blow my whistle, you kick off from the ground, hard," said Madam Hooch. "Keep your brooms steady, rise a few feet, and then come straight back down by leaning forward slightly. On my whistle – three - two -" But Neville, nervous and jumpy and frightened of being left on the ground, pushed off hard before the whistle had touched Madam Hooch's lips.
"Come back, boy!" she shouted, but Neville was rising straight up like a cork shot out of a bottle - twelve feet - twenty feet. I saw his scared white face look down at the ground falling away, saw him gasp, slip sideways off the broom and - WHAM - a thud and a nasty crack and Neville lay face down on the grass in a heap. His broomstick was still rising higher and higher, and started to drift lazily toward the forbidden forest and out of sight.
Madam Hooch was bending over Neville, her face as white as his. "Broken wrist," Harry heard her mutter. "Come on, boy - it's all right, up you get." She turned to the rest of the class. "None of you is to move while I take this boy to the hospital wing! You leave those brooms where they are or you'll be out of Hogwarts before you can say 'Quidditch.' Come on, dear."
Neville, his face tear-streaked, clutching his wrist, hobbled off with Madam Hooch, who had her arm around him. No sooner were they out of earshot than Malfoy burst into laughter.
"Did you see his face, the great lump?" The other Slytherins joined in.
"Shut up, Malfoy," snapped Parvati Patil. Go girl!
"Ooh, sticking up for Longbottom?" said Pansy Parkinson, a hard-faced Slytherin girl. "Never thought you'd like fat little crybabies, Parvati."
"At least she's never looked like one." I said "I loved your makeup the other day the short hair and tears running down your eyes and they were even in Gryffindor colors. I have a picture in case you wanted it." I said her face paled, seriously I had no idea why I'd made her face like that but now I was glad I had. Especially since all the Slytherins shut up at their own memories of that "wonderful" day.
"Look!" said Malfoy, darting forward and snatching something out of the grass. "It's that stupid thing Longbottom's gran sent him." The Remembrall glittered in the sun as he held it up.
"Give that here, Malfoy," said Harry quietly. Everyone stopped talking to watch.
Malfoy smiled nastily. "I think I'll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find - how about - up a tree?"
"Give it here!" Harry yelled, but Malfoy had leapt onto his broomstick and taken off. I was so proud of harry I mean could the boy be any sweeter. Malfoy, sadly hadn't been lying, he could fly well. Hovering level with the topmost branches of an oak he called, "Come and get it, Potter!" Harry grabbed his broom.
"No!" shouted Hermione Granger. "Madam Hooch told us not to move - you'll get us all into trouble." -
Harry ignored her.
"Wait Harry," He turned back to me, "I'm coming with, can't let you have all the fun." I said He smiled at me and we took off into the air.
Thanks for reading! What do you think I can improve on? Hope you have a fabulous day!
