Hello, everyone! WaterDragonMaverick here with the next chapter of "Go Go RWBY Rangers" and trust me, I've been planning this for a while since I started the story and got more details for it thanks to Volume 6. Last time, the Rangers all encountered Cinder Fall when they fought her latest monster. When she overpowered whoever fought her, Cinder ended up nearly killing Pyrrha and Ruby unleashed a power that the others hadn't seen before. Being badly crippled thanks to the Red Ranger, Cinder escaped with Emerald and Mercury before anyone could react. What exactly was that power? Does it have to do with Ruby seeing her mother's grave in her sleep? What will the villains do next? Read this latest chapter, "I Dream of Ruby Part 1: Red Like Roses", and wait to see what happens.
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
RWBY is owned by Rooster Teeth and was created by Monty Oum (R.I.P)
Power Rangers was created by Haim Saban
In a barren wasteland with rocky terrain and enormous crystals sprouting from the ground, pools of a tar-like substance bubbled under a dark red sky. From one of the pools, a handful of Gremlins emerged and crawled onto the surface. Standing upright, they began to collect pieces of crystal and place them inside the viscous ooze. When the crystals splashed into the sludge, they transformed into Black Beads that other Gremlins began to collect and take to a castle that was the only building in the area. Watching from a window, Mercury and Emerald were surprised to see how Gremlins and Black Beads were created while standing in a meeting room. Hearing someone snap their fingers, they turned to see Cinder was wearing a completely different outfit that when she was injured by the Red Ranger. She had cut her hair short, was wearing a mask of black glass over her burned eye, and had a dress with a long sleeve covering her left arm. "This place gives me the creeps," Emerald said as she stood next to Cinder and Mercury.
"Then, a child such as yourself shouldn't be here," said a refined voice with a condescending tone. The voice came from a tall middle-aged man with a slim build and slightly tanned skin. He had black and gray hair, a thick mustache, and green eyes. His attire consisted of a gray overcoat with yellow linings, a yellow dress shirt, a red undercoat with yellow buttons, and a pair of red fingerless gloves. "Honestly, Cinder. Why did you bring these two into our operation if they weren't prepared for details such as this," the man asked as he began to belittle Emerald and Mercury, prompting Emerald to keep Mercury from attacking him. "Oh, I'm sorry. It seems as though your last encounter with the 'Power Rangers' has left you unable to answer me," the mustachioed man remarked maliciously.
Cinder could only glare at the man sitting across from her while somebody started to giggle manically to her right. Sitting strangely in a chair was a pale man with gold eyes, brown hair that was braided into a ponytail that resembled a scorpion's tail, and silver earrings. He wore a white sleeveless jacket that was opened to reveal scars on his chest, white pants with a belt, leather vambraces, and leather boots with knee guards. "If I were you, I'd hunt that girl down," he said with a snicker. "I'd find her and, well, she took your eye, didn't she?" At the implication of what he would do, the psychotic man started to laugh more and more, creeping out Emerald and Mercury.
"Tyrian, that's enough," said a gruff and deep voice. Emerald and Mercury followed the sound of the voice to see an enormous man sitting across from the psychotic male. He was a very tall and muscular middle-aged man at 8 feet tall, had brown hair and a beard, and hazel-colored eyes. He wore a large green coat, a black shirt, black pants with pouches on each leg, a large belt, and brown boots. His arms also had scars near the ends of his sleeves, as if something had stabbed him in that area a number of times before.
Cinder was about to say something, but her voice was still damaged from her loss and she had to whisper to Emerald in order to speak to the others. "Pathetic," said the refined man. "Why must you rely on such-"
Before he could say anything else, everyone heard the door to the room open and watched as Salem entered. She quietly moved to the end of the table everyone was at, as if she was gliding across the ground like a ghost. Looking at a display of crystals and candles, Salem didn't bother turning around as she spoke to the man she interrupted. "Doctor Arthur Watts... Do you find such malignance necessary," she asked before she turned around to look the man in the eye and gestured for everyone to calm down.
"I apologize, Ma'am. I'm just not particularly fond of failure," Watts stated as he answered Salem.
"Just where do you see failure," Salem questioned as she turned to Cinder. "Young Cinder has accomplished a great number of things while in Emerald Vale. She and her associates have backed the Power Rangers in a corner on many occasions, obtained important items for your research projects, and even incapacitated several Rangers in battle."
"It's just that the girl she faced before she came here was able to cripple her like this," Watts said.
"The silver light that came from her according to Cinder's subordinates," the large man remarked. "It's something we've seen before. How is it that a novice such as the girl was able to best one of our Inner Circle?"
"The answer to your question is simple, Hazel," Salem replied. "The specific ways that Cinder acquired her powers as the reason as to why she is currently like this. Her newfound abilities are the key to our plans, but they still carry a great and crippling weakness. That said, she will stay by my side to recover while Tyrian goes to handle the Rangers," she told everyone.
Hearing his task, Tyrian laughed manically before turning to Salem. "Thank you, my lady. I shall handle this like any other mission," he said in a respectful tone to the witch.
"Actually, I want you to bring the Red Ranger to me alive," Salem added. Hearing the change of plans, Tyrian looked disappointed before agreeing to the plan. "If this girl was able to activate the power of her Silver Eyes, then we need to deal with her before she can obtain the Battlizer. With her out of the way, we'll be able to handle Ozpin for good," Salem said as her eyes glowed a burning red.
At Beacon Academy, Ruby was having trouble staying awake during class while the others were worried about her. "Ruby hasn't been able to sleep well since that battle," Yang whispered. "What are we going to do about it?"
"I'm not sure," Blake said as she tuned out the lesson Professor Port was teaching.
"Well, this isn't good for her health or her grades," Weiss remarked.
While the girls spoke to each other or focused on the lesson, Ruby began to talk in her sleep. "Why am I here... Is she here... Who are you..." While she was muttering, Port began to call her name. When Ruby didn't answer, the teacher continued to call until he shouted her name. "CARBUNCLE," Ruby exclaimed as she snapped awake and saw she had caught everyone's attention.
"Miss Rose, this is the fourth time this week you've fallen asleep in class. Is something wrong," Professor Port asked with more concern than anger or annoyance.
"Sorry, Professor. I just can't really sleep well at night," Ruby said.
Port hummed in thought before looking at the other Rangers. "Miss Xiao Long, would you please take your sister to her room? Perhaps some more rest in her bed will do her some good," he requested.
"Sure thing," Yang responded as she got up from her seat and guided Ruby outside. When they reach their dorm, Yang made sure that Ruby got some sleep before heading off to meet with the others. "Ruby... What's going on, sis," Yang said to herself as she left the dorm.
After a while, Ruby woke back up and left for the courtyard to get some fresh air. Walking around, the Red Ranger couldn't stop thinking about her strange dreams. "Just what is going on in my head," Ruby asked herself as she started to kick snow around. While she did that, she ended up making her way over to the Clock Tower Lab to see if Ozpin could give her some advice. Just before she entered the building, she heard something behind her. "Who's there," she asked as she quickly turned around. Seeing nobody nearby, Ruby thought her lack of proper sleep was playing tricks on her mind until she heard a faint whispering. "Show yourself," Ruby said as she grabbed a snowball and packed a rock into it if she saw a threat.
"Ruby, what's going on," Oscar questioned as he exited the clock tower to see her preparing to throw a snowball at something.
Turning to see Oscar and not hearing the strange sound anymore, Ruby dropped the snowball before she spoke to the boy. "Sorry, Oscar. I think I'm hearing things. I just haven't been getting enough sleep since Pyrrha got hurt," Ruby explained just as the teenage Rangers arrived.
"Ruby, you need to get some rest," Jaune said in concern for his friend and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Is something bothering you?"
"Is it nightmares," Blake asked. "Because I've had some bad ones of my own before."
"It's not nightmares," Ruby stated. "They're these... weird dreams."
"How weird," Nora asked. "Are they things like the sky rains pancakes while hippos made of taffy are eaten by baby dragons? Samba-dancing robot dinosaurs? What about that one moment in Gravity Falls where Mabel gets high on Smile Dip?"
"...None of those. But it would be fun to watch Gravity Falls again," Ruby told Nora. "These dreams are just... I don't know what to make of them."
The others were confused by Ruby's vague replies, but Ren thought of something and snapped his fingers. "I think I know who to ask for help," he said.
Ruby was lying down on a couch while a woman with blue-streaked black hair sat down in a chair next to her. "Thanks for seeing me, Doctor Celeste. My friends and teachers are all worried about me. Plus, these dreams have been bothering me for a while," Ruby said to the woman.
"Please, call me 'Nocturne'. I find it helps people talk about their problems easier when they're relaxed, so just calling me by my first name can help," the doctor said. "Now, tell me when these dreams all started."
Ruby exhaled before she began to talk about her dreams. "Well, they all started after my 16th birthday. I'm normally walking through a snowy forest when I hear something. Then, I see this silver thing and follow it before I find a grave. But the thing is, it's my mother's grave back at home," Ruby explained. "I know it's her grave because I see the same words as the one back home. 'Thus Kindly I Scatter'. After that, I tend to wake up in the middle of the night."
Nocturne listened to Ruby's explanation of her dreams and took down notes. "Dreaming about something multiple times means that it's important in some way. Are there any details that became clearer during the last few times you've experienced them," Nocturne told Ruby.
Thinking about the last dreams she had, she remembered how much clearer the voice was and the silver wisp itself had started to change forms. "The silver thing... it sort of started to look like an animal. I think it even said something," Ruby said.
"What did it say," Nocturne asked.
"I think it said what it was," Ruby answered. "A 'carbuncle'. What's a carbuncle?"
"A carbuncle is a word that can mean a few different things, but it usually is the name of a creature with a gem in its forehead," Nocturne explained before a small beeping was heard and she looked at her phone. "I have some other business to attend to, but you can check the library for more details if you're still curious."
"Okay, thank you. You helped me a little, Nocturne," Ruby said as she left the woman's office and found her friends waiting in the lobby.
"Did Sunset's teacher help," Ren asked.
"A little. Now we just need to go to the library," Ruby answered.
"What for," Blake inquired.
"I need to learn more about what a 'carbuncle' is," Ruby explained.
When the Rangers and Oscar made it to the library, they immediately started searching for all sorts of different books that could have been of use to their investigation. "Carbuncle... Carbuncle... Where is it," Weiss said as she searched through a book on mythological creatures.
Ruby, Blake, Ren, and Oscar were all searching through books along with Weiss while the others continued to find more for them. "Thanks for all your help, guys," Ruby said. "I didn't know that a few strange dreams would end up having us do some studying."
"Well, it's not like you were able to get any done normally," Weiss remarked before closing the book she had and grabbed another one.
After a few more hours of research, the Rangers all slumped over in defeat. "We've only been able to find descriptions of them, but not anything that shows what they look like," Ren stated. "How are we going to figure out if this thing is what Ruby saw?"
"Saw what," asked Qrow Branwen as he and Taiyang walked over to the teenagers.
"Hey, Qrow. Hi, Dad," greeted Yang. "We're trying to help Ruby find something she thinks she saw in a dream."
Qrow was about to ask when he noticed the pages of some open books, then sighed as he realized what they were searching for. "Carbuncles? I was afraid of this," Qrow said as he turned to Taiyang.
"We have to tell her," Taiyang mentioned.
"Tell me what," Ruby asked.
Qrow looked at the others and they read the room, leaving Ruby alone to talk with her family. When the three were by themselves, Qrow took a drink from his flask before he started talking. "You remember what we said about your mother? How she was the leader of a combat team," Qrow said as he mentioned Summer Rose. When Ruby nodded, Qrow continued as he brought a picture out of his pocket. "Well, the thing is that she was a Power Ranger alongside me, your dad, and my sister. The leader of our team," he said as he placed the photo next to one of the books.
Ruby was amazed by the fact that her own mother was a Power Ranger alongside her father and uncle, but Yang was staring that the photo of the second woman in the photograph. Seeing Yang was focusing on the photo, Taiyang continued to explain. "Summer was a great leader and a skilled Ranger. She was able to help us stop a lot of different monsters when we were at Beacon. However, there was something special about her that was different from the rest of us," Taiyang told the girls.
"What was it," Ruby asked.
"Do you remember when I got you to meet Professor Ozpin after speaking with the school board," Qrow asked. Before either of the confused girls could question what their uncle was talking about, he interrupted them. "There's a point to this. Do you remember the first thing he said when you two met?"
"I think he said something about my eyes," Ruby responded.
"Exactly," Qrow said. "Silver Eyes were the reason why Summer was special as well. Ozpin said that there was a legend around the world where people with those eyes could fight monsters and evil forces with ease, even drive them away with a single look. We don't exactly know all that much about the story, but there is something involving these Silver Eye Warriors and Carbuncles in the Emerald Forest. It's worth going to check it out."
Ruby was holding onto everything Qrow said, captivated with new information about her mother and possibly providing an answer to her dreams. "If we're going to go back to the Emerald Forest, then we should go now," Ruby declared.
"Well, we still need to keep an eye on town in case of any trouble," Taiyang reminded. "How about you just go with three of your friends while the rest stay in the city to protect it just in case?"
"I can stay with Weiss and Blake," Yang said. "Ruby, you go figure this out with Jaune, Ren, and Nora. They'll probably want to help you find out how to avenge Pyrrha's leg getting hurt by that Cinder chick." Ruby nodded and hugged her sister before the family all left the library. Unknown to most of them though, somebody was keeping a close watch on Ruby as she exited the building.
After telling the other Rangers, Ruby set out for the Emerald Forest with the remaining members of Team JNPR. Along the way there, Nora and Ren began to discuss something. "I'm just sayin', there's more of Team JNPR than RWBY on this mission. We should go with that name for our little group," Nora said.
"But, 'junior' isn't a color like the other two," Ren remarked as Nora insisted on called the current team 'JNRR'.
"How can I be more clear," Nora groaned. "1, 2, 3," she said as she pointed at herself, Ren, and Jaune. "That's more than one."
"But we're helping Ruby with her objective," Ren stated. "That would make her the leader and the team name would be 'RNJR', referencing a shade of green."
"It sounds redundant," Nora exclaimed. "It's like saying we pilot something called the 'Ranger Megazord'! What, are we piloting a giant version of one of us?!"
"That would be pretty badass. But then again, so would one of us getting armor that makes us a mini-sized Megazord," Jaune mentioned.
Before the three could talk any more, Ruby stopped walking. "We're here," she said as she and the others looked at the village ruins they came across in the Emerald Forest. "Let's start looking," Ruby said.
"What exactly are we supposed to be looking for," Jaune asked.
"I don't really know," Ruby answered. "It could be another totem we haven't seen, some sort of art, or anything. Let's just investigate." As the four started searching the area, they couldn't find anything they didn't see before. After a while, Ruby sighed as she finished checking a bush and found nothing. "Any luck," Ruby asked as she turned to the others.
"Nope," Nora answered as she stepped into view with dust and leaves covering her hair.
"Unfortunately, nothing," Ren stated as he placed a few old pots aside when he finished checking them.
"Maybe it's further in," Jaune remarked as he suggested going to another location. As the four headed off and walked deeper into the forest, Jaune ended up tripping on a root. "Oof! Why me," Jaune said to himself before he noticed a path covered by leaves and vines. "Hey, maybe we should go this way," he told the others as he stood up and uncovered the pathway he found. Literally going off the beaten path, the four Rangers found a small area that was isolated from the village they first encountered.
Investigating the location, the four stumbled upon an old hut. "What's something like this doing away from the village," Nora asked.
While the Rangers were looking around, Ren noticed something strange about the fire pit in front of the hut. Kneeling down to take a closer look, Ren saw that the ground was damp and swampy. "I think somebody was here before. Very recently, too," he told the others. Checking around the fire pit, Ren noticed fresh footprints leading away from the hut. "Let's follow these tracks and see where they go."
Following the footprints, 'Team RNJR' made their way through a hidden path that they didn't notice before and eventually made their way back to the village. "We're right back where we started," Nora remarked. "Why would that person come back here?"
Before they could say anything, Ren felt something approaching them and quietly signaled the others. Grabbing his Morphing Scroll, the others followed his lead and transformed just in time to see a man in a brown jacket leap into the village from one of the trees and laugh as he revealed twin blades on his wrists that resembled pincers. After doing that, he immediately started to dash for Ruby until Ren intercepted him and clashed weapons with him. Ren tried to kick and shoot the man, but his blades blocked both attack attempts and he went for a counterattack by chopping and kicking. Ren blocked the blades with his own, but was knocked back by a strong and fast kick by the man. With Ren pushed back, the man rushed for Ruby and started to attack her while laughing. Striking at her with kicks and his wrist blades, the stranger managed to deal some damage and made sparks fly off of Ruby's Ranger uniform. Jaune tried to charge into the man with his shield, but he was too quick and only started to hang onto it like a deranged monkey while investigating Jaune closer. Nora tried to hit the stranger away with her hammer, but he jumped off of Jaune's shield and bounced off of Nora's weapon. Leaping toward an old building, he crashed through the walls and did a perfect split to keep himself in place to look at the Rangers. "We're not looking for a fight," Jaune shouted as he looked at the man.
"Who are you," Ren asked as everyone stood ready for another assault by the stranger.
The intruder jumped out from the building and did a three-point landing before standing up to address the Power Rangers. "Who I am matters not to you," he said as he looked at Ren. "Or you," he added while pointing at Nora. "Or... well... you do interest me," he said when he looked at Jaune, making the Blue Ranger gasp in surprise and confusion. "No, I only matter to you," the man stated as he pointed to Ruby.
The others looked back at the Red Ranger while she questioned the strange man. "Me? What are you talking about?" The man started to laugh as he realized Ruby had no idea what he meant, claiming that it was exciting. "What do you want, you creep," Ruby said as she stood her ground.
The man gave a small gasp as he heard the Red Ranger. "The rose has thorns," he remarked. "My little flower, I'm here to whisk you away with me."
"Well, what if she doesn't want to go with you," Nora rhetorically asked in a harsh tone as she stepped in front of Ruby with her hammer ready.
The man gave an unamused look before answering the Pink Ranger. "Well, I'll take her," he stated.
"We're not going to let you do that," Jaune stated as he raised his shield and stood in front of the girls.
Closing his eyes, the stranger only responded with one word as he gave an evil and creepy smile. "Good." With blinding speed, the man appeared behind Jaune and was about to strike the Blue Ranger from behind when Ren acted quickly. Firing at Jaune's shield, the shots bounced off and the man was forced to block them as they approached him. Jaune kept his shield up and was ready to block another attack, but the stranger used the shield as a platform and spun on it when Ren fired more shots. Ruby tried to attack the stranger, but he jumped off the shield and kicked Ruby hard enough to send her flying back. Ruby recovered and decided to change up her ammo while the man attacked Jaune with more kicks. After the Blue Ranger was knocked aside, the man ran toward Nora and Ruby smirked under her helmet as she took aim with an ammo cartridge loaded into her rifle. Pulling the trigger of her Wolf Rose Blaster, Ruby fired an electrified shot that zoomed toward her target. Hearing the shot fired, the man turned in time to see the projectile barely pass by his cheek and hit Nora directly. As she fell down from the sudden attack and kicked up a cloud of dust, the man stood in disbelief and placed a hand on the side of his head as he laughed at what happened. "Well, if that isn't ironic," he said as he remarked on one of the Power Rangers apparently shooting their teammate. As the Rangers looked at his direction, the man noticed their body language wasn't what he expected from the situation and was confused. Behind him, Nora stood back up with her Storm Slammer and grinned under her helmet before rushing past the stranger and attacking him. The strike kicked up a large cloud of dust which settled slowly and when it did, the man giggled as he blocked the hammer with a scorpion tail that he disguised as a belt. "Surprise," he said before he jumped and hit Nora with two spinning kicks, then he leaped onto a nearby roof and ditched his coat to show his prominently white attire and raise his stinger up above his right shoulder.
"He's... a Faunus," Ren said as everyone looked at the man's tail.
"What's this about," Ruby asked. "Adam Taurus? The White Fang? Roman Torchwick?"
The Scorpion Faunus only laughed as he waved his hand and tail around. "Plastic soldiers and pawns. All of them. My heart and body only belong to our goddess," he stated as he straightened his posture.
Ruby looked at the Faunus and realized there could only be two women he would be talking about, especially after she crippled one of them. "Salem," the Red Ranger uttered.
"Hm. Looks like you've already heard about her," the man said as he stood on the rooftop. "Well, I suppose that I can let you know she wants you alive," he told the Rangers before laughing creepily. "However, she didn't say in the best condition," he added while his eyes turned from gold to a dark purple, then jumped back into battle. When he did, he used his tail to attack the Rangers and managed to kick Ruby back once more. Before Ren could attack the Scorpion Faunus, the latter used his tail to keep the Green Ranger back before kicking him away. When Jaune and Nora tried to attack him, he used his tail and legs to great effect and effortlessly knocked them back.
"This guy is tough! We need to call for backup," Jaune said as he tried to get his Morphing Scroll.
"Uh-uh, I think it'll just be us in this forest," the psychotic fighter stated. "You think I went after you without thinking of something to keep your allies busy?"
Back in the city, the other Rangers were fighting an army of Gremlins that appeared. "Where did these things all come from," Yang asked as she punched away one Gremlin so hard that it took down several others like bowling pins.
"I don't know, but I don't see any sort of other monster with them," Blake remarked as she used her clones to dodge attacks, then slashed several of the goblin-like creatures.
Weiss went to work with her Snow Saber and glyphs, freezing several Gremlins solid and thrusting the blade forward to destroy them. Skating around the streets with her glyphs giving her more speed, the White Ranger avoided the monsters before summoning an ice wasp to attack again. "They just keep coming back," Weiss said as she saw remaining Gremlins use Black Beads to summon reinforcements.
"I guess what Ruby did to Cinder has them scared and they want to deal with us ASAP," Yang realized. "I hope she's okay."
"She'll be fine. She has the others with her," Weiss said as she summoned her knight construct to assist them.
"Yeah, I'm sure they can handle it," Sun said as he used his nunchucks to deal with several Gremlins.
While the Rangers continued to fight, Penny noticed something. "Where's Qrow," she asked after using her blasters to shoot down a small handful of monsters.
Looking around, Yang saw that her uncle wasn't with them fending off the Gremlins. "I don't know. He took out like 100 of these when he showed up the first time. We could really use his help here," the Gold Ranger remarked.
Ruby and Team RNJR were still having a difficult time battling the Scorpion Faunus that followed them into the forest. He was easily knocking them aside with kicks and strikes from his tail, but the Rangers were all careful to avoid the venomous stinger. As they fought, a crow flew through the forest as fast as it could. While the bird approached the teenagers and their opponent, the Scorpion Faunus used his superior speed to attack Ruby with his wrist blades. Throwing punches at the Red Ranger's face and chest, he caused sparks to fly off her armor as she got hurt. Spinning around quickly, the Faunus' tail knocked Ruby backward and he rushed behind her to deal another attack. With a powerful kick to her abdomen, Ruby was sent back to the ground and got knocked out of Ranger Form as she stopped. "Ugh... He's strong," Ruby said as she caught her breath, but soon noticed something just behind the enemy. "Huh?" Seeing a creature with a shining silver color, she couldn't make out what it was exactly before she turned to see the enemy standing over her.
The Scorpion Faunus raised his stinger up to his head and laughed to himself as his eyes turned dark purple again. Ruby could barely move and the others tried to run toward them, but the man was too fast for them. Just as the Red Ranger was about to get stung, the crow flew between them and transformed into a Power Ranger. With a large sword held behind his back and blocking the stinger, the Ranger looked at Ruby with his red visor. Seeing him for herself, Ruby smiled at her uncle as he saved her. "Hey. Sorry that I'm late," Qrow said.
"You're just in time, Uncle Qrow," Ruby replied.
Pulling his tail back from his failed attack and getting a better look at the new arrival, the Scorpion Faunus watched the older Ranger spin his sword around before turning to look at him. "As I live and breathe, Qrow Branwen," the Scorpion Faunus stated as he recognized the veteran Power Ranger. "The Crow Ranger himself has entered the fray!"
Qrow looked to Ruby for an answer as she stood back up. "He's weird, but works for Salem," Ruby explained.
Hearing what he needed, Qrow turned back to the Faunus. "Look, pal, I don't know who you are, but you need to leave my niece and her friends alone," Qrow said.
The scorpion-tailed man only chortled before speaking to Qrow again. "Why, friend, my name is Tyrian," he stated as he introduced himself. "And I'm afraid that is not possible," Tyrian remarked as he clasped his hands together. "My assignment from Her Grace was to retrieve this young girl. So, that is what I must do. One does not upset the Queen. Especially when she doesn't want you all to find the Battlizer."
"The Battlizer," Qrow exclaimed as he realized what Tyrian was talking about.
"What," Ruby asked in confusion when she heard the same thing from her dreams.
"I think we've had enough talk now, don't you," Tyrian asked as he got into a crouching position.
"Took the words right out of my mouth," Qrow said as Tyrian immediately rushed toward the older Ranger. As their battle began, a woman watched the fight with a mask over her eyes and the silvery creature from before on her shoulder.
Alright! With this chapter finished, we've gotten to meet Salem's Faction and watched where the Gremlins come from. We also have one of my favorite parts from Volume 4 being added in, Tyrian's fight scenes. I also wanted to have Ruby's dreams explored because of how important they are. As well as mentioning Summer and Raven since Qrow and Taiyang were Rangers themselves. I needed to add the rest of STRQ in somewhere, even if just a small mention.
Who is the woman watching the Power Rangers fight Tyrian? Can they all handle the army of Gremlins in the city? Just what is that creature Ruby saw? Find out all of these answers in the next chapter, "I Dream of Ruby Part 2: Silver Lining".
In other news, I FREAKING LOVED the entire season of "Gen:LOCK" and I recommend that you check it out when you can. I might even add in cameos by characters featured in it like I did with some of the Red VS Blue characters.
Until next time, WaterDragonMaverick signing out.
