Soon, they finished eating, and Lloyd and his father walked to the bridge over the river outside.

Garmadon let out a soft sigh. "Lloyd, I have something for you." He unclasped a golden dragon necklace, gently placing it on Lloyd's neck. "There. My father passed it down to me when I was your age. I think it's time that I passed it down to you."

Lloyd's eyes widened as he looked down at the pendant. "Thanks...oh wow, this is so gorgeous..."

"No problem, my son. I love you so very much." Garmadon pulled Lloyd into a tight embrace. "I'm so proud of you. You've truly come far. Things may have been rough in the beginning, but I honestly wouldn't've had it any other way."

Lloyd was too overcome with emotion to say anything. Garmadon didn't say anything either. They were both content with holding one other.

"Lloyd Montgomery, my beloved child... I want to stay... I won't leave you...not ever...not ever..." Garmadon murmured after a moment or so, soothingly caressing his son's soft hair.

Lloyd smiled back. "I love moments like these."

"So do I..." Garmadon nodded. "You are my whole world... I don't want anything hurting you..." He reluctantly pulled away. "You were evil for months, but now...now I'm just glad you're here and alright. You're safe with me. That's what matters most. I love you so much, Lloyd..."

The two of them walked to the gazebo on the other side of the bridge. They stood by the railing, looking at the garden below the waterfall. Lloyd sat down on a bench, his father sitting with him.

The green ninja sighed. "Never let me go, Father..."

"There, there..." Garmadon consoled. I won't ever leave you again. Not anymore." He held his son tightly. "I'm staying...I'm staying..."

Lloyd smiled softly. "Thanks for always being here."

"Of course, my child...of course..." Garmadon said quietly, stroking Lloyd's hair.

"Dad..." The green ninja's voice resonated with anguish and fear.

"Hmm?"

"I'm...scared...what if something happens and I'm taken again?" Lloyd sobbed. "What if-"

"Lloyd. Relax, it'll be okay... As long as I'm here, you'll be fine. I will protect you. I won't ever leave your side." Garmadon pulled away to stroke his son's hands, gazing intently into his golden eyes. Then he embraced Lloyd again. "It's going to be alright. I'm sure of it."

"D-Dad..." Lloyd whispered softly.

"Shhh... I'm here...I love you too much...I'll be with you until the end..." Garmadon's eyes closed in deep intimacy.

"I promise."
