Wanted to test something. There won't be any action scenes in this chapter, I wanted to focus more on the team, etc. The mission did happen and it went exactly how it did in the cannon, just with Diaz and Vigilante added in. Vigilante had showed up and took down some gunmen but ran off when the SCPD had him at gunpoint.
Laurel was sitting on the bed of her room, after mourning the loss of Oliver. In her hands, were pictures, the one she was staring at was a picture with Oliver, several years ago when they were dating. A tear dropped rolled down her eye and she smiled.
She went through the small bundle of photos, some were with Oliver, some were with Sara, she only had a few with Tommy, though. Laurel sniffled before placing the photos on the night stand. Then, she heard a knock on her door.
Laurel turned around and saw her father, at her bed room door. Sin poked her head in, "I called him here, I figured you needed someone close to talk to you." She said and Laurel smiled, thanking her.
"Thank you, Sin." Laurel replied, then Sin left the room as Captain Lance walked in, closing the door.
"Is it true?" the Captain asked, wanting to know if Oliver was actually dead, this time. Laurel nodded her head and Lance walked over to her bed side, sitting down next to her. "Oh baby, I'm so sorry." He stated, comforting her daughter.
"Dad, it just feels so different now. I remember, eight years ago, when we saw the news that the Gambit went missing and everyone thought Oliver was dead but he was alive this whole time. He came back. But now, what Merlyn told us, the blood analysis, Dad.. he's not coming back, this time." Laurel vented to her father, who held her tightly in her arms.
Back at the Foundry, underneath the second floor at Verdant, John, Roy, and Felicity were looking for more information on Brick, Diaz and the evidence boxes they had stole from the SCPD evidence storage.
"The evidence that they stole from the SCPD were for multiple associates, felons, in Starling City. Not only are the evidence gone, so is Danny Brickwell and Ricardo Diaz, who just went off the grid. I've just tried tracking the truck but I came up short." Felicity then showed them some footage of the truck Diaz drove Brick and the men out in.
The truck's been on the same spot, somewhere, downtown. I believe Brick and Diaz got into another vehicle and left the city, covering up their tracks, as well." Felicity informed them and they both sighed.
"Our hands are way too short to try and go after them." John said, after listening to what Felicity told them. He was right, though, as it's now only John and Roy out on the field.
"We do need extra hands, we could try recruiting the vigilante guy?" Roy suggested, Felicity and John shooting him a look.
"No, Oliver would never team up with a killer like him. Let's not forget that he killed Isaac Stanzler." John replied, knocking down the idea of having the Vigilante on Team Arrow.
"Oliver's dead, John, don't you get it? What other choice do we have, we need someone else out there with us." Roy countered, seemingly striking a chord in John.
Thea was in the loft, sitting on her couch whilst looking at a family portrait. Oliver, Robert and Moira were in the picture and she stared at them, seconds away from breaking down. Thea has been through a lot: finding out the truth about her real, biological father, her mother's secrets, Oliver being the Arrow, it was a lot for her to handle.
As she was mourning, her senses picked up something in the dark. Thea got up on her feet and put the portrait down on the couch, walking into the middle of the loft.
"Who's there?" Thea questioned, looking around.
Then, a knife flew out from the shadows, missing Thea and nailing the walls of the loft.
After Laurel was done talking with her father, he had left to go back to the precinct. Sin and Laurel said their goodbyes before she closed the door and Laurel seemed like she felt better.
"I didn't know if it was good to ask this now, but, what are you guys going to do?" Sin questioned Laurel and she began to think.
"I don't really know, but I do have an idea. I just have to make a quick call." Laurel answered.
Then, Laurel reached into her right pocket and pulled out her phone, dialing a number. The ID for the number was S.T.A.R. Labs.
"Cisco."
"Hey, Cisco, just the person I wanted to talk to. Yeah, I know, thank you but I need a little favor." Laurel said, then a malicious grin appeared on her face, something Sin never seen before.
"Get the hell out!" Thea yelled, seeing her father come out of the shadows.
Merlyn had his hands up, with an innocent look, but Thea noticed something was off with his presence.
"Thea, please, I didn't come here to harm you, but I came here to warn you." Malcom said, cautiously.
"Warn me of what?" Thea questioned, balling her fists.
"We're in danger, we need to leave the city." Malcom answered.
"Is this another one of your little tricks?" Thea asked, annoyed with her father. "I'm not going anywhere with you- Anywhere!"
She walked over to the door and opened it up, gesturing for Malcom to leave the loft.
"Hear me out, please, Thea." He requested and Thea groaned, closing the door.
"Two minutes." Thea said, folding her arms. "And if you're still here, that knife is going through your neck." She threatened.
"Fine, since Oliver is dead, the blood debts remain. I thought we'd have more time but time is running out, Thea. Ra's al Ghul and the League will be after, but not just me." Malcom said and she looked confused. "Ra's al Ghul knows that you're my daughter, and because we're related, that means he'll come after you as well."
Thea couldn't believe what Malcom was saying, she didn't want to believe him but wondered if Malcom would ever joke about Ra's al Ghul, the Demon's head.
Meanwhile, at the temple in the middle east, Oliver was laying on a platform, above the Lazarus Pit. The hooded figure stood there, lowering the platform into the mystical waters, until Oliver's whole body was inside the pit.
"You've died as Oliver Queen, but you shall be awaken, reborn again." The person says, whilst Oliver's body was inside the water.
The water began bubbling as the figure watched this happen until Oliver's body rose out from the Lazarus and jumped onto the floor. Oliver's jeans were soaking wet and he looked up around the place, confused as to where he was, beginning to panic.
Once he turned around and saw the person in the hood, Oliver bolted at them and the two engaged in combat, as Oliver tried killing the figure. They held up their ground and was able to put Oliver on the floor, despite struggling.
Sarab had returned to the temple and was in shock when he walked in. He saw Oliver, hands tied to to the wall, panting heavily.
"Is he.." Sarab was going to approach Oliver but he quickly picked his head up.
"Remember what I had told you, not everyone who goes into the pit, comes back the same. He seen me and tried attacking me; It took awhile to calm him down but I wasn't surprised, he's gotten stronger over the years." The figure commented.
Then, Oliver gazed his eyes over to the hooded figure.
"Do you remember me? Do you remember my voice, Oliver Queen?" The familiar voice had asked him and Oliver squinted at the figure. "Let me help you.." The figure stepped closer to Oliver and got down on one knee as they slowly pulled the hood back, revealing the face of a woman, with long, black hair.
"Talia," Oliver answered. "Wh- Where am I, why am I here?"
"Oliver, I brought you here because I needed you to come back to life. Talia was the only person who could've done this, that's why I brought you here." Sarab answered and Oliver looked at him, puzzled. "Why's he staring at me like that?"
"His memories are scattered, he remembers you but is trying to figure out if he's talking to Maseo or Sarab." Talia answered, shooting a look at Ra's' servant.
"Akio.. I'm so sorry," Oliver said, remembering what happened to Sarab's son.
"Who's Akio?" Talia asked Sarab.
"He was my son." Sarab answered, Talia noticing that this was a very emotional and personal subject.
She then turned back to Oliver. "Oliver, what do you last remember?"
...
Ra's took the sword, driving the cold blade against Oliver's side.
...
"Don't be afraid, my son. Death comes for us all, we can only evade it for so long." Ra's remarked.
He held Oliver's chin up as the man before him looked into the eyes of the Demon's head.
...
"Consider this an honorable exit."
...
Ra's kicked Oliver's body off the cliff and planted his bloodied blade in-between the rocks of the cliff.
...
Oliver's eyes widened as his memories slowly began to come back to him. He looked around inside the temple and then stopped, when his eyes locked on the Lazarus Pit. He looked at the rope around his hands and the water all over the floor, his wet jeans, trying to picture what happened.
"I'm supposed to be dead- Ra's killed me- but how am I alive?" Oliver asked.
"Have you ever heard of the Lazarus Pit, Oliver?" Talia got up and walked over to the pit.
