What's going on my MasterNaruians? Excited for this chapter? I bet you are! This story is getting popular thanks to all of you. When I say all of you, I mean my MasterNaruians and guests. So let's get into this one.
Night came and went, andlight reigned again. The sunlight shone through the windows of every house or building. When the light touched Ino's sleepy eyes, she opened them slowly while groaning. She just wanted to sleep the day away, everyone else for that fact. She closed her eyes waiting to fall back sleep when an arm pulled her closer. She gladly moved into the embrace finding comfort. She turned over to face her lover.
When she did, she couldn't believe her eyes. Naruto was still sleeping. She let her head fall back on the pillow and stroked his cheek. Light breaths followed by a smile were given by Naruto. He moved his head closer to her and it found itself right beneath her chin. She smiled and wrapped her arms around her partner. Slowly he stirred out of his sleep and found himself in Ino's embrace. He lifted his head and faced her.
"Morning beautiful," Naruto greeted.
"Morning sleeping beauty," she teased.
He gave a small smile and kissed her. "Ok you have me with that one. Is anyone else awake?"
"I don't know. I never left the room since you kept pulling me closer to you in your sleep."
"Can you blame me?"
"I guess not."
He kissed her quickly one last time before climbing out of bed. He stretched, rubbed his eyes, and went into the bathroom. Ino lied down in the bed still feeling too lazy to get up. She tried to fight off the sleep as she feels it starting to creep back on her. Try as she might, she failed and ended up falling back asleep. When Naruto came back out he met her fast asleep. He smirked, got dressed, and left the room letting her sleep.
In the living room Naruko, Temari, and Sasuke were there talking. When Naruto made his presence known, he joined them. Naruko's head landed on her brother's shoulder and she admitted that she was still sleepy. Once she said that a door was heard opening and closing. They all looked and saw Gaara making his way to the couch. He sat next to Naruto and thanked him for what he did. He admitted that it was the second best thing that happened to him.
-1 hour later-
"So what you're telling me is that there's a group who wants to obtain all Tailed Beasts?" the twins asked.
"Yes Lord Naruto and Lady Naruko," Tou said.
"So most likely that means if they heard of this village they'll come here," Naruto stated.
"With the fact that there's two Tailed Beasts here they'll attack as a group," Naruko followed.
"What did you say their name was again?" Naruto asked.
"The Akatsuki," Tou repeated.
"So they're finally going to make their move huh? I can finally get payback on my brother," Sasuke announced as he walked into the room.
To clear things up he told the story of how his brother, Itachi, murdered the entire Uchiha clan in one night, but left him. He also said that he vowed to get revenge no matter what. Hearing this, it was already settled on who Sasuke was fighting when they reach. Naruto called for the rest and explained the predicament they were going to be in. They didn't know when they were coming, but they had to be prepared and, as the leaders, make sure there are no fatalities.
They thanked Tou for that information. She bowed and left. The twins were deep in thought as to how they should deal with this threat. They had an idea but it was so crazy, yet brilliant. They closed their eyes and everyone felt their power raising. When the twins opened them the Rinnegan showed. Everyone asked what were they doing, clearly confused at this development. Seeing a straight answer wouldn't work, they explained their actions.
"We're trying to see how long we can hold it for. Since we're still getting adjusted to it, it'll take time. If we can be naturally used to it then the Akatsuki would have another thing to look out for."
With that said, they knew they had to try and get used to the twins' new eyes. They left to let them do their work in peace. The twins found it somewhat easier to do paperwork like this. It might have something to do with the connection the Rinnegan gives them. Either way, they were glad they had it since they finished earlier than expected. They lied back in their chairs and relaxed a bit. Besides the power, they were glad they unlocked it.
Couple minutes later Ino and Gaara walked in with a new stack and Naruto opened one of his eyes to see them. Naruko greeted them with her eyes closed. Still a little confused about the Rinnegan and its connection, Ino and Gaara placed the new stack and took the finished set without saying a word. When they left, the twins high-fived and laughed. They went back to work after having a good laugh.
-In the afternoon-
Kankuro was sitting on a branch of a tree that was in the training grounds. He closed his eyes letting himself clear his thoughts. He started to wonder what he should do. Aside from the Akatsuki making their move, he had personal things to deal with. One girl clouded his mind almost every time he closed his eyes. Images of her would instantly come into his mind. The most recent one is her smiling face shining in the sun when she offered to help him.
She was always there when he need help. In fact, just after the meeting with Naruto he was training with her. He had to admit, she did give him a run for his money. He hadn't got that close to her ever since they met. Even through fighting he could still feel her skin. It was soft to the touch, but the power in it is incredible. He remembered perfectly the smirk she had throughout training. He couldn't explain it, but it made him feel good.
"You're still here?!"
He nearly fell down at the startle. He looked down to see Tou standing underneath the branch Kankuro was on. "Yes I am."
"Not being nosey, but why?"
He jumped down and landed in front of her. "Just trying to clear my mind."
"You can go anywhere to clear your mind."
"Let's just say it works better for me when I'm in trees."
She chuckled a bit before continuing. "Whatever suits you best then do it." She turns her attention to the tree's wooden stem and places her hand on it. "Isn't it amazing how that one thing that could make us feel a lot better could be standing right in front of you?"
He is now staring at her dreamingly. "Yeah, you're right."
"From now on," she turned back to Kankuro, "we'll see if we can find a common thing," she took a hold of his hand, "together."
Kankuro stared at their hands while blushing. "Y-Yeah maybe."
"What's the matter? You can take on missions that are deadly without a second thought, but a girl holds you're hand and you break down?" she joked.
"Should I tell her now? Maybe it's still too early, but then again we've bonded so much. So I'll..."
Wondering what Kankuro will choose? I'm sure you are. So if you want to find out stay tuned. Peace!
