Chapter 29
"Alright wake the hunters," Cole ordered one of his mean, leaning against the doorframe of his favorite dungeon room. This place had been in his family for a century and his family had been witch hunters since the first witch back in Biblical times. He hated their kind, but he had to admit they were beautiful.
The two witches were bound with chains and gagged. The two hunters Kitty Turner had come with were tied across from them. He was looking forward to this.
His men punched the two hunters awake. They came to and looks around, their eyes landing on the witch they'd come with. She was out cold and in bad shape like her cousin.
"Addy," Sam said in alarm," Oh God Addy wake up!"
"She's fine," Cole said, bored.
"You son of a bitch let them go," Dean growled as Cole dragged a chair and sat in front of the two brothers.
"No thanks," he replied," Detrov witches are too much fun to mess with."
"She hasn't done anything," Sam pleaded," Let her go."
Cole sighed, "You do know she's a witch, right?"
"She's never hurt anyone," Sam said," Not once. If you knew her, you'd know she doesn't deserve this."
Cole scoffed," They all deserve it. They're witches. They're unnatural. Just a bunch of devil whores."
"Watch your mouth," Dean growled.
Cole smirked," Especially your friend here. What do you call her? Addy. She's the worst little slut of them all."
"You don't know what you're talking about," Sam said. Cole stood up and went over to Addy. He tapped her on the cheek, waking her up.
She groaned and coughed into her mouth gag. Her eyes opened and landed on Cole. She started to struggle when she saw Sam and Dean behind them.
"No use darlin," Cole said," Those chains are especially made for your kind. You have no power in these things. Makes it a lot more fun for me."
She jerked at him and he hit her hard across the face.
"Don't touch her," Sam yelled, pulling at his restraints.
He grabbed her by the chin and forced her to look at him," You've got these two so whipped over you. Do they know what a little Satan slut you are?"
She stared daggers at him.
"Oh I forgot, you can't answer," he replied and she jerked her chin away from him. He smiled in amusement and turned to his men.
"Wake the other whore up," he commanded and one went over to her and slapped Megan across the face.
She woke up and gave a small sob as she realized she was right back where she started.
"Well now that everyone's cognizant," Cole began, standing behind Addy," Why don't we play a little game? We'll call it Tell a Truth."
He bent down to Addy's ear," How would you like for your friends here to know all about the real you?"
One man went over to Megan, a towel in his hand. She shook her head in protest as he pressed it to her neck and she screamed through the gag.
"Leave her alone!" Dean ordered.
Cole laughed," Witch hazel. Burns the fight right out of them. "
The man removed the cloth from Megan's neck and handed it to Cole.
"Now, Kitty," Cole began, removing the gag from her mouth," I'm gonna ask you a question and you're gonna answer for your friends here. If you don't, I think you know the rules."
She didn't answer as she stared at Sam.
"What's your full name?" he asked, moving her hair from her neck.
"Addy Turner," she replied, bristling from his touch.
"Wrong answer," he said and let squeezed the towel out onto her skin. She grit her teeth and screwed her eyes shut, but didn't make a noise as it burned her skin.
"Stop," Sam begged," Just leave her alone."
"We've got a strong one here boys," he said," Now, give me your real name. The one your mother gave you or I shove Megan's face in a bucket of this stuff."
Megan let out a whimper.
"Kitten Detrov," she admitted as she stared at Sam and Dean, willing them to keep quiet.
"And what does the Detrov name mean?" he asked.
"It's just a name," she replied," It doesn't mean-"
He pressed the towel to her skin and she let out a broken scream.
"It means we're the most powerful family line of our kind," she yelled through the pain.
"See isn't it better when we tell the truth?" he asked mockingly, removing the towel again and she sighed," But we're not done yet. See Megan told me all about you, but don't be mad. We did some horrible things to her, but I hope we don't have to do anything to you. I would hate to have to mess up such a pretty face."
"Just let them go," she said quietly," They haven't done anything."
"But Megan has," he replied, walking over to her scared cousin," Don't you want her to suffer. She's Dark."
"No," she replied, looking into Megan's eyes," She's family."
"Come on Kitty," Cole mocked," I know you may be a little goody two shoes now, but what about high school. Megan told me all about your little boyfriend. What was it again, Megan? Peter."
"If you're trying to turn them against me they already know about him," she replied triumphantly," They know about my past. All of it. There's nothing you can tell them that they don't know."
"They know about your past," Cole said," but what about your future?"
"Already know about that too, jackass," Sam said.
"All that girl who ends the universe bull shit," Dean finished.
"Shut those two up," Cole ordered and duck tape was put over their mouths as he turned back to Addy," But do you know how?"
"That's not a part of the prophecy," Addy replied," Looks like you're out of cards now."
"See I did my research," Cole said, standing in front of Addy," You wanna know how your family got all that power?"
"I already know the story of the two sisters," Addy replied," We all do."
Cole smirked," Do you know the whole story?"
Addy frowned," That is the whole story."
"See the bad sister didn't just ask the devil for more power…she made a deal," Cole said, his eyes full of excitement," Do you know what she traded for that power?"
"Her soul," Addy challenged.
Cole shook his head," That was a part of it, but he also gave up her blood line. One of her direct descendants of Lucifer's choosing would be the one to raise him."
Addy stared at Cole with wide eyes," You're lying."
He shook his head, seeing he'd finally gotten to her," No, I'm not doll face. Haven't you ever wondered why you were destined to be evil even when you'd done nothing to deserve it? It's because Lucifer chose you. He handpicked you to help him end the world. Now isn't that sweet?"
"You're lying," Addy repeated.
"Nope," he said," Now if I kill you, the world doesn't end."
"You're lying," Addy said again, incapable of forming any other words.
He grabbed her by the face," And I have the perfect way to put you out of your misery. The pit will make sure you die in the most painful way possible."
Megan began screaming at the top of her lungs and thrashing furiously.
Cole rolled his eyes," Grab the other one too. She's getting on my nerves."
Two of his men came with needles in their hands. They jabbed them into Megan and Addy's neck. Both of them went lip, their eyes still open.
"That'll make sure you can't run. It'll ware off in a few minutes," Cole said evilly as he undid her chains," And you'll be able to scream. That's my favorite part."
"You won't get away with this," Addy said with difficulty.
"I think you'll soon see that I already have," he said and the last of her chains fell along with Megan's. They were carried away despite Sam and Dean's muffle protest.
"Now what do we do with you?" Cole said, turning to them and sitting down," If I let you go, you'll just cause problems but if I kill you it'd be a waste. "
The duct tape was ripped off their mouths.
"You better kill us," Dean said.
"Because we'll kill you," Sam finished," Let her go now or I promise bad things will happen."
Cole sighed," Guess we'll just have to kill you. Bring them back upstairs. We can make it look like a mugging gone wrong."
SUPERNATURAL
They were taking them back upstairs. She could tell because the music was playing again. How long had they been down there? It had just turned dark out when she'd gone inside. Had it been a day? Maybe a few hours, minutes? She couldn't tell.
Something inside her stirred and she began to feel sick. She couldn't move. She could scream for help, but no one would hear her over the blaring music.
She heard a door open and the smell was the first thing that hit her. It smelled like pure rot and nothing else. She couldn't turn to see where she was, but she could tell she was descending stairs slowly. She was thrown down on her back next to Megan and then blaring lights were turned on. She felt her hands and legs being tied together and than a door close. She had no feeling, but gradually it came back and she turned her head to see Megan next to her, staring straight up, sobbing quietly.
"Megan," she whispered," Megan, I forgive you for everything. If this it, I want you to know that I never stopped loving you. You'll always be my big sister."
"I love you too, Kit Kat," she said, slowly, turning to look at her," I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have called you."
"No, I'm glad you did," she whispered," I'm glad I know you're yourself again."
"I'm so sorry," she sobbed.
Addy frowned as her head began to ache," Megan it's okay. Nothing's here. Just us. I think I can get us out of here."
Megan shook her head," I'm so sorry."
"It's okay, Megan," Addy soothed," I just have to sit up and-"
"No, Addy," Megan yelled," Don't move. Don't look."
"Why?" she asked, turning her head to her other side," What's-"
She let out and scream as she saw a decomposing body, face to face with her. It's jaw hanging open in a permanent yell. Addy sat up and began looking around. It was another room, but this one was filled with bodies. Thrown everywhere. Cockroaches and rodents scampered over the bodies and around her and Megan. She began hyperventilating. There had to have been hundreds of people down here. Just thrown everywhere in disrespect. How many people had died down here?
"Oh God where are we?" she asked as Megan sat up.
"It's where they throw all the-" she didn't need to finish.
"This is all our kind," Addy said, looking around in horror," Every single one of them."
Megan nodded as Addy curled into the older woman.
"It's okay, Kitty," Megan soothed," You can't let it get to you."
"We're gonna die down here," she said between sobs," Oh God we're gonna end up like them."
"Kitty no," Megan said, keeping it together for her," You can't do this. You're the strong one. You, not me. You."
She continued breathing heavily as she shut her eyes and prayed for help for the first time in years.
SUPERNATURAL
Sam and Dean were led back upstairs and down a hallway. They ended up in a back alley, out of all public sight with Cole's lackeys pointing guns at them.
"I'm afraid I cannot let you kill them."
They turned to see Castiel and he pressed his fingers to their heads. They fell out cold.
"Cas are we glad to see you," Dean said.
He nodded," I have orders to pass judgment on this place."
"Addy and her cousin are still in there," Sam said frantically.
"I'm aware," he replied," She called for me."
He disappeared with a flutter of wings and then with another flutter he came back with Addy in one hand and Megan in the other. Sam grabbed Addy and Dean grabbed onto Megan.
"I will send you to Adriana's motel room now," Castiel said and they blinked and were in a motel room. Sam and Dean exchanged looks.
"That was too easy," Dean said," Why was that easy?"
"Does it matter," Sam said, setting Addy down on the bed next to Megan and finding a knife. He cut away her restraints and Megan's. Slowly, he cradled her into his arms as she woke up.
She thrashed in his hold until she saw it was him.
"We're safe now," he said, kissing her forehead," Cas saved us."
"They killed them," she whispered, looking up at him and tears welling in her eyes.
"Who?" Dean asked.
"Six hundred ninety five," she replied, staring blankly at Dean.
"Six hundred ninety five what?" Sam asked carefully.
"Witches," she said with a broken sob," That's how many of my people they killed. They threw us in with their bodies. I could feel all of them. They all cried for help. No one saved them, Sam. No one."
"It's okay," he soothed and she pulled it together.
"I'm okay," she replied and saw Megan next to her. Slowly, she pulled out of Sam's grip and shook her cousin. She woke up and stared at Addy.
"We're safe now," she said.
Megan smiled weakly," I knew you'd save us."
"We're safe," she repeated.
"It's over," Megan said as she began to sob and Addy held her in her arms," It's finally over."
Addy shushes her as she smiled at Sam and Dean and mouthed," Thank you."
They nodded as she held her cousin that she'd finally got back.
SUPERNATURAL
Addy stared out the window as Megan took a shower. Sam and Dean had gone back to the D Lounge to see if they could figure out what had happened. She'd heard Cas say something about judgment, but the brothers wanted to know for sure that Cole wasn't a threat.
She heard a flutter wings and saw Cas's reflection in the window.
"Thank you," she said without turning to him.
"That place was unnatural," he said," We'd been trying to find you all night, The structure kept changing. It is gone now."
"And the men who ran it?" she asked, afraid of the answer.
"They were the only ones who perished in the fire," he replied," You're people who lost their lives there are at rest now."
"Is it true? Did Lucifer choose me?"
Castiel sighed," I was hoping to avoid this situation."
"Is it true?" she asked, finally turning to look at him.
"Yes," he said," but that's all the information I know."
"You lied," she said, a tear falling down her cheek," You said God had a plan for me. Not Satan. God. There's a huge difference there."
"I am sorry, Adriana," he said sincerely and disappeared with a flutter of wings.
The shower shut off and Addy quickly wiped away the tear as Sam and Dean came back inside.
"The whole club is nothing but ashes," Dean said as he came inside.
"I know," she replied," Cas just dropped by. Cole and all the other witch hunters burned with it."
"Maybe next time you won't do something stupid like this," Dean said and Sam shot him an angry look," I'm not going to apologize for it. If she had listened to us this wouldn't have happened."
"Okay," she said simply.
"Okay," Dean repeated," That's all you have to say."
"You don't want to hear what I have to say," she replied, looking at him with determined eyes.
"Yes we do, Addy," Sam said.
"If I had known what I was going into I would do it all the same way," she said, staring at them," I don't care that what happened tonight has probably scarred me for life. I don't. Bottom line, we all got out safe. And I have my sister back. Do you know how good that feels? My mother than Megan. I can't complain. I know what I did was stupid but I'd do it over again in a heartbeat. I know I'm reckless and I know I'm rash and I know you two hate that I don't listen to you all the time, but guess what. That's who I am and it's never going to change. Take it or leave it."
Sam shook his head and pulled her in for a hug," I love you. You know that?"
"I know," she replied, kissing him and then turning to Dean," Anything you wanna add?"
"I'd still lock your ass in a bathroom if it meant keeping you out of danger," he said and she smiled.
"And I'd still escape," she replied as the bathroom door opened. Megan stepped out in nothing but a towel.
She looked between Sam and Dean with a smirk," Hey, boys."
Addy rolled her eyes and tossed her a pile of clothes," Put some clothes on Megan."
"You take the fun out of everything," she replied with a fake pout and closed the door.
Sam and Dean shot Addy a look.
She shrugged," I said she was family, I didn't say she was perfect."
"So you two were close, huh?"Dean asked and she nodded.
"I forgave her," Addy said.
"What did she do?" Dean asked.
"Can we not talk about it?" she asked and he nodded," I want to have a fresh start with her. She says she's changed and I believe her. Even when she was really bad she never lied to me. Manipulated me, yes, but she never lied. Not once."
"She's still Dark," Sam said quietly.
"I know," she replied," but she's still Megan. The Megan I knew. That's what counts."
Megan came back out of the bathroom in Addy's clothes and Sam and Dean stared at her.
She looked back and forth between them," Kit, why's your man candy staring at me like that?"
"Because they're suspicious," she replied with a sigh.
"Good to know," she replied and looked between them," Look, I have nowhere to go. My car's probably long gone and Kit's my family. I'd do nothing to hurt her or you. So ask me anything and I'll answer it if Kitty wants me too."
"Megan you don't have to-"
"I want to," she said quietly," Ask away."
