Regina rubbed her eyes tired of looking at the same forms reading the poorly written proposal. Regina was brought from her paperwork when her office phone rang. Her assistant was out for the day so Regina was answering her own calls, "Mayor Mills, how can I help you?"

"Hello Madam Mayor, this is Mr. Fredrick calling from Storybrooke High. I'm calling in regards to Henry."

Regina hardened her voice, "And what is the problem involving Henry?"

Fredrick gulp, "Nothing ma'am. It's just um, it's parent teacher conferences today so the student's only had a half day. I'm just calling to see if someone was available to pick Henry up?"

Regina cursed under her breath, "I'm sorry Mr. Fredrick, I seem to have forgotten about the conferences happening today. I apologize for my previous tone. I will come pick Henry up right away." Regina then hung up the phone and texted Henry,

R: 'I'm sorry. I completely forgot. I'm on my way.'

H: 'It's ok. Mr. Fredrick is cool. Don't you need to get Emma?"

R: 'crap…'

H: 'LOL! Ask Avery. He can pick her up'

R: …

H: 'it'll be fine, just have them walk to granny's. We can get dinner'

R: 'fine. I'll be at the school in a few minutes'

Regina placed her phone on speaker and called Avery. Avery answered slightly out of breath, "Hello?"

Regina sighed, "Hello Avery, this is Regina."

Avery smirked, "I know, I do have called ID. What's up Regina?"

Regina rolled her eyes but explained to Avery how she needed to pick up Henry and couldn't pick up Emma too without being ungodly late. "Would you like to pick Emma up from school, by FOOT, and take her to Granny's where Henry and I will meet you?"

Avery moved the phone but couldn't muffle the sound of the 'HELL YES' he screamed from being picked up by Regina. "YES, yes I will pick Emma up. I'll ride to the school and park the bike there and walk Emma to Granny's. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Regina smiled, "I'll call the school to let them know you are to pick up Emma."

Regina pulled up the the high school and got out quickly walking to Henry's classroom, where he sat with Mr. Fredrick.

Regina put on her mayoral smiled and shook Mr. Fredrick's hand, "Hello. So sorry about before and for being so late."

Mr. Fredrick smiled, "No worries. Henry is a great student so going over everything should only take a few minutes."

Henry smiled and soaked in his Mother's praise of his hard work. Regina was super proud of Henry and his hard work showed in his grades.

As promised Regina and Henry were out of the teacher's office within 25 minutes and were headed to the car.

Regina placed a kiss on Henry's forehead before he could escape her grasp. Henry groaned but wrapped his mom into a hug.

Regina and Henry walked down the school steps and to the parked Benz. Once in the car Regina asked Henry to call Avery to let him know that they were on their way to Granny's.

Avery answered on the third ring, "Sup! Avery and Emma here!"

Henry smiled and put the call on speaker, "Hey Avery and Emma. Mom and I are on our way to Granny's now."

Emma answered this time, "Hi Mommy! Hi Henry! We going to Granny's too! We walkin Avery was silly and left his motescycle at school!"

Regina and Henry chuckled then Regina responded, 'Hi sweetheart. Mommy and Henry will be there soon, we will even have a milkshake waiting for you."

Emma cheered and could be heard telling Avery about her milkshake.

Avery told Regina they were on Main Street and would be there in like 10 minutes. Regina nodded and replied, "We just parked, we will be waiting inside."

After Avery disconnected the call Regina she took their usual booth in Granny's and smiled at Ruby.

Ruby came over and asked, "Where's my pup?"

Henry smiled, "She's coming, with Avery. He picked her up from school."

Regina chucked at Ruby's shocked face, "Dear close your mouth, you'll catch flies."

Ruby rolled her eyes, "Well excuse me, but you're the one that was about ready to have Avery deported for just being in Storybrooke around Emma, now he's picking her up?"

Regina rolled her eyes and smirked, "He was born here in the U.S, I couldn't have him deported.."

Before Ruby could respond there was the sound of tires squealing and a truck speeding down the street. Before that shock wore off another came bursting into Granny's.

A bloodied and frantic Avery ran to the counter and grabbed the phone ignoring Granny's harsh words about running into her place and causing such a ruckus.

Avery spoke quickly to someone and slammed the phone down, almost ripping it from the wall. Ruby approached Avery like a spooked wild animal, "Avery what's going on? You're bleeding."

Avery waved his hand and looked at Regina and Henry with tears in his eyes, knowing what the next question was going to be.

Regina sternly said, "Where's Emma?"

Avery opened his mouth but no words came out. The diner door chimed again but this time it was the other Gold.

Avery saw red, "It was you, wasn't it!" Avery stalked over to his father and grabbed him by the lapels of his coat hoisting him up and slamming him into the diner's bar. "Say it! It was you wasn't it! You did this!"

A few of the diner's patrons pulled Avery from Gold and held him back. Regina stalked over to Avery and demanded to know, "Where is Emma!? Where is my daughter?!"

Avery sobbed, "They took her, they came from no where and they took her!"

Regina grabbed Avery by the hair making him look at her, "WHO!? WHO TOOK HER?!"

Avery cried harder, "Ritchie."

Regina felt the anger and despair rising, and suddenly she snapped. Regina screamed and shoved Avery backwards making him lose his balance and the diner's patrons hold on him. Avery slammed backwards into a table where Regina continued to throw her fists at Avery hitting him wherever she could with all of her strength. Regina didn't realize she was crying and yelling, "I hate you! Where is Emma! Where is my baby?!".

Everyone froze until Ruby grabbed Regina from behind and pinned her arms to her side basically carrying her away from Avery.

Regina wailed into Ruby's chest as her legs failed her. Ruby gently lowered herself and Regina to the ground and she held onto the sobbing Mayor, trying to reassure her that Emma was strong and tough and that they were going to find her.

The diner was silent until Henry's voice could be heard, steely cold and angry, talking to Rumple Gold. Henry looked at Gold's shocked and scared face, "Was. It. You?" Gold cleared his throat and gently nodded. Henry snarled a feature no one in Storybrooke had ever seen on the young teenager. Henry shoved Gold and pointed, "If anything happens to her, it's on you."

Before anyone knew it Avery was in front of his father and punched him once with everything he had — all the years of anger unleashed — Gold fell back with a grunt and a groan before falling to the floor nursing a quickly bruising eye, a cut cheek, and a even more damaged ego.

Avery stared down at the man most feared and and said, "You are going to help us find Emma. Then you are going to never, ever, look, speak, or think about me or Emma ever again."

The patrons of the diner looked at Regina with sympathy, at Henry with surprise, at Avery with pride, and at Gold in disgust.

Granny then commanded everyone's attention, "Call everyone you know and tell them that little Emma is missing, kidnapped. Tell everyone to be on the look out for any unknown cars in town. We are going to find that baby if it kills us."

Emma was sitting in the back of the truck with her legs tucked in tightly to her body. The men in the front didn't talk to her but every few minutes they would look back and stare with eyes that were cold, like her mean foster daddies.

Emma knew better than to say anything. The truck came to a stop in the woods and the the men got out. Emma looked around and noticed they were still in Storybrooke, in the woods. When she first got to Storybrooke she explored the woods and found this cabin but it was locked.

One of the men opened the back door and grabbed Emma before basically dropping her to the ground. He snarled and grunted a, "Don't move."

He went tot he door and talked with the other men as they looked at the lock and laughed. Soon one kicked the door in, and one grabbed their stuff, and the last one stomped back over to Emma and pulled her up pushing her towards the open cottage door.

The cottage was small and only had one room. The men dropped their bags in the main room and shoved Emma into the only bedroom before locking the door and shouting, "make a sound and you'll die."

Emma ran to the dusty bed, the farthest thing from the door, and curled into herself trying to disappear, trying to be as small as possible. Emma silently cried wishing for her Mommy, her Henry, her Ruby, and even her Avery. Emma wants her family, she wants to go home.
