Ziva pulled her husband's shirt over her bare body before climbing into bed next to him. Tony slid down into the bed more, opening his arms, so Ziva could get comfortable as she cuddled up into him…their usual routine every night. She lay her head onto his chest, her hands gliding over his chest hair and playing with it as she waited for him to answer her question. She could hear the rhythm of his heart, thumping as each second passed below where her ear laid.

Tony let out a deep sigh, "I've just been thinking, that's all." His left arm wrapping around her waist, pulling her tighter into his body.

"Thinking about…?" She questioned, rubbing her nose back and forth on his chest.

"You and a bunch of other things," He replied, blowing the hair out of her face with his breath.

Ziva frowned, "You will not tell me what is going on, yes?" Kissing her forehead, Tony let his lips linger a bit longer than usual, worrying her and she continued on, "Tony— I thought we were passed hiding things from each other. We agreed on no more hiding when we stood at city hall,"

"I know, I know… it's just-" Tony groaned, trying to get his thoughts together and in one piece,
"I hate being away from you guys,"

"We hate it too, mon petit pois," She lowered his lips, kissing his chest right above his heart, "But you have a job. A very good job, in fact. We knew going into all of this that it would be a knot fuck,"

Tony furrowed his brows together before laughing.

"What?" Ziva questioned, popping her head up and looking at her husband.

"A knot fuck?!" Tony's laugh warmed her heart, and she joined in laughing with him.

"Yes? Is that not the correct saying?!" She smiled and he pulled her closer to him, giving her a passionate kiss on the lips.

They pulled away breathless causing Tony to chuckle once more, "A cluster fuck, sweetcheeks. We knew it would be a cluster fuck,"

Ziva hit him playfully, laying back down in his embrace, "We will get through it, like always." She whispered, closing her eyes.

Tony reached over to the bedside table next to him, turning the lamp off and throwing the covers over his and his wife's bodies.

"Besides," Ziva kept talking quietly in the darkness, "It is Ty's birthday next week. You will be home until then," Tony turned to lay sideways, keeping his arms around her so she would stay in the same spot and not move away from him. She adjusted her position as well, burying her face into Tony's neck.

Tony lay there, eyes wide open and thinking of everything. "Goodnight, Zi." He touched her lips with his own once again, before returning his head to his pillow.

He lay there awake for the next few hours, debating on perhaps quitting his job because the lack of family time, of Ziva time was killing him slowly. He didn't remember when he last felt like this because things had been going so well for them these past few years. Both of their little ones being brought into this world were gold medals in themselves because who knew that Tony and Ziva could be capable of bringing such amazing human beings into the world? Let alone, who knew they were going to be able to have kids after everything?

After Somalia, the haunting tales of conception were never far from Ziva's mind. Each doctor appointment only gave in to the facts that she knew were so clear during her days in Mossad-

You will never have children.

It's true. She wasn't supposed to have children, not even a husband. Her life was never destined to have this greatness that she now had. Somalia had proved this. The explicit amounts of torcher and rape caused her uterus line to deteriorate from the harsh acts of the men holding her imprisoned. This causing the known fact that had been there so many times in her head after being rescued by her team, she was not capable of bearing children. Not that she would, anyways. Who would ever pick her to be the mother of their children?

But there he was, as always. Her knight in shining armor, her hero… Anthony Dinozzo Jr. They don't know how it happened really. One day they both realized their feelings and denied them at all damn costs. Rule 12 echoing in their ears, the amount of blood shed they had seen between those who worked together professionally and romantically. Jenny Shepherd close in their hearts and the look on their bosses face when the news was told about her death.

They could never be that.

No matter how many people they tried to date, they still kept going back to each other. The Ray situation didn't help out much considering Ziva knew he wasn't the one, but god damn how could she say no to the first guy ever proposing to her? Sure, the asshole gave her an empty box, loaded with empty promises, but she didn't have a chance with skirt chasing Dinozzo.

"You looked awfully comfy," his voice ringing in her head and oh god, that night they spent in Paris seeping through every stormy cloud of bad memories that lingered.

And when she found out that Ray wasn't the good guy he appealed to be,

"Couldn't live without you, I guess."

She couldn't live without him either.

Now, here they were. Married with two kids and a life so blissful, neither of them could really believe it. At all. Things had certainly changed over this new life they were living. McGee was dating Delilah, a nice woman who he had grown to know after the team had worked on a case with her. Abby had been downright spiteful, childish and a bully to the poor woman which ultimately changed her relationship with everyone on the team, except for Gibbs. Gibbs was getting much too old to be running a team. The office naturally participating in bets on how much longer the elder man would stay or if he would end up dying in the field.

Best of all, Tony was hired to manage his own team in Long Island. Him and Ziva were skeptical at first, a two year old and newborn in their care. The money was great though, something they couldn't pass up in order to raise two children while Ziva was off on maternity leave. After a difficult decision, they decided that he should go for the job. They could make anything work, they had finally made their life work so, what was the difference in a little change?
