HEY HEY! Nearly up to chapter thirty! And now we continue with her past!
Enjoy the chapter!
Her mother was already covered in blood and Sakura soon realised that it wasn't her enemy's blood.
"Mother!?" she cried out, running over to her mother's side.
Her mother looked over at her with a look of shock and anger flashing across her face. "I thought I told you to go and hide with your sister-get away from here, it's too dangerous!" the Queen shouted.
"But you're hurt!" Sakura cried.
"Sakura, you have got to get out of here!" her father shouted back as he clashed swords with his enemy.
"Father please-let me help!" Sakura cried out.
She was desperate to help her injured mother who was clutching at her bleeding arm. She watched as her mother once again darted in to fight leaving Sakura with a horrified look on her face. Her legs wouldn't allow her to move-she was useless. Instead she was forced to watch as her mother cast spells that were rendered useless as there was some sort of barrier protecting the man, the spells deflected into the walls causing them to crumble into piles of rubble. She was forced to watch as her father was forcefully slammed into the wall by one of the man's attacks, knocking him out. The Queen ran to help her beloved husband, but was slammed into the floor by her enemy. Without a hint of remorse or guilt he shoved his sword straight through her heart, killing her instantly. He pulled out the sword and blood spilled from the body pooling out onto the floor.
"NO!" Sakura's voice came out as an ear piercing scream as she witnessed the murder of her precious mother; her kind hearted and loving mother was gone.
The man began to walk towards her father, and in fear for her father's life she looked over to find him slumped on the floor unconscious.
"FATHER!" She screamed, desperately trying to get him to respond.
"Shut up girl, it's no use-he'll die anyway, and you're next since you're the heir; it is essential that you die so that pesky brat doesn't get the throne. And so that you don't cause any problems either, of course." He laughed menacingly.
Sakura didn't keep her mouth shut. "Father wake up!" Sakura cried out again, tears streaming down her face. This time the brunette king's fingers twitched at the hilt of his sword. But it was too late.
Sakura watched as her father was stabbed with the sword, blood spurting everywhere-an artery had been hit. A silent scream escaped her lips as she felt herself slip to the floor surrounded by the blood of the parents that had tried to protect her.
"NOO!" She screamed, crying. Fear took over her as he began walking towards her, footsteps echoing throughout the hall. He wore a cruel smile as he looked at her, raising the tip of his sword.
"And now you die." He chuckled, thrusting his sword forward. She shut her eyes tight and waited for the blade to pierce her chest, but instead she felt warm liquid spray on her face and dress. She opened her eyes to find her sister with her arms outstretched and the blade right through her chest. Rena had shielded Sakura from the attack.
"No…not you too…" Sakura whispered.
"You must survive at all costs…live on…find Syaoran…" Rena breathed, falling onto Sakura, bleeding heavily.
"No-I'll help you too!" Sakura cried. Rena smiled.
"Find Syaoran,' she coughed up a mouthful of blood, 'and end the war…" she whispered, her heart stopping and her breathing ceasing.
"No Rena no! You can't leave me too!" She cried.
"It's ok-you can join her too." The man smiled.
"Please…no…" she whispered.
The acrid smell of smoke entered her nose and she looked up to find the familiar looking figure of Fai running towards her and an orangey glow behind him.
"Get away from the Princess!" Fai shouted.
The man, sensing the greater threat from the fire, ran and jumped out of one of the nearby windows as Fai grabbed Sakura by the hand and pulled her behind him. She refused to follow him, however.
"Princess-the castle is on fire; we must get out!" Fai urged.
"We can't just leave them here!" Sakura cried.
"I'm sorry Princess, but we must go-when this is all over, we can give them a proper memorial." He said.
"Where's Touya…" she whispered. He looked at her with grief stricken eyes.
"He was killed…protecting you." He replied. More tears filled her eyes and flowed down her cheeks.
He quickly realised that he'd have to pick her up and carry her down to the secret passage out of the castle where Alastor was waiting, and that was exactly what he did. She didn't protest as she was in too much of a depressed state to do so, and once he placed her back on her feet in the hidden underground cellar where they kept spare resources including horses, he pulled Amalthea who was Sakura's pure white female horse that had been placed there for protective purposes at the start of the war from one of the stables and lifted Sakura onto the horses back before looking up at her.
"Hide your pendant and your ears. Here is your cloak and stay warm-stay safe and use all of the necessary skills you need to survive. I'll catch up to you shortly-if I don't find you within six days, move on to the next town; I'll always be looking for you no matter what!" he said quickly as he handed her a bag, a belt with a couple of throwing knives and daggers and a few other useful things and her black velvet cloak.
"What are you going to do…?" she asked.
"I have to go and ask someone about something to do with the war-I swear I'll find you as soon as I can! Now go! I'll know where to find you!" he murmured something in Amalthea's ear as Sakura pulled her cloak around her shoulders and slid her pendant inside her dress. She didn't have time to wash the blood off her face-the next thing she knew she was heading out into the darkness with Alastor running beside her. She couldn't even feel the strength to cry anymore.
-End Memory-
Syaoran remembered checking up on Sakura that night. Yes, he remembered it quite clearly-he was sixteen back then. He felt that he should share some of the blame for the death of her family as she had left the safety of her castle to inspect his presence on the grounds. Ultimately he felt it was his fault. He didn't realise that he had a tear sliding down his cheek from listening to everything Sakura had just told him, how her sister had shielded her and how her parents had protected her with such ferocity, but were killed so ruthlessly. And what was worse was that he knew their killer-at least, he thought he did; he couldn't be certain.
"I'm so sorry Sakura." He whispered, going to apologise and say how it was his fault, but she cut in first.
"I can't blame you Syaoran. I never will. I've always loved you too much, and I can't resent the people I love. I feel guilty for weakening the guard of the castle. It's all my fault. If I'd just gone inside a little earlier then-"
Syaoran cut her off with a deep and passionate kiss. She melted into their kiss and wrapped her arms around him, allowing him to slide his hands up her nightie over the smooth skin of her bare back. Tears slipped through her closed eyelids and as they pulled apart for air her eyes fluttered open to see him looking back at her tenderly.
"They don't blame you otherwise they wouldn't have protected you. Your family loved you darling, and all they'd want for you is to be happy." He said softly.
Crying, she kissed him again, her fingers working their way down the front of his shirt to undo the buttons and pulled it off of him, desperate for the touch of his body against hers. He lifted the nightie off of her body and pushed her down into the pillows, kissing her fiercely. She ran her hands through his hair and down his neck as she arched her back against the cold as they kissed. Parting, she quickly removed his belt followed by his pants and so one; he then removed her underwear and both were completely naked. They held each other close, kissing fiercely, passionately. They took delight in their love making that had become easier compared to their first time which was clumsy and a little bit more painful for Sakura, but this time it was just joy. She tried to keep her sounds to a minimum, but occasionally a small mewl of bliss would escape her lips which Syaoran often liked to hear. He liked to know that he could satisfy her, and it seemed to please him in a way too.
"Syao…" She moaned for the fourth time in bliss-both were covered in sweat from having sex but neither of them seemed to care. They'd been doing it for at least a little over an hour and they weren't tired yet. With each thrust came a tightness in her womb and even more pleasure for the both of them. A soft groan escaped Syaoran's throat as Sakura's muscles clamped down around his hardened member, warm fluids seeping down around it followed by a soft moan from Sakura. He could feel Sakura's hands tighten around his for a moment and then release, followed by heavy breathing like several times before. He felt a gush of pleasure through his own body and collapsed besides Sakura panting, breathing for air. He kissed her neck leaving behind a hickey. She smiled at him, completely exhausted but happy.
"I love you." She whispered.
"I love you too darling." He replied, kissing her on the lips softly.
She rested her head on his chest and wrapped her fingers through his; she was happy that he still loved her even though she carried a heavy burden and weight of guilt of the murder of her family that she couldn't just move on with, and she was happy that he listened to her without walking out on her-he had stayed.
"Thank you Syaoran…" she murmured with a soft smile on her lips.
Syaoran smiled. "Anything in particular you're thanking me for?" He asked.
"For being there for me…for not leaving me…for everything…thank you so much." She replied softly.
"I'll always be here for you, always." He whispered, holding her closer. Sakura snuggled closer to him and closed her eyes while he gently stroked her hair, lulling her into sleep.
"Sweet dreams, my love." He said tenderly before drifting off to sleep himself after a very long morning and afternoon, holding her close.
So, is it Syaoran's fault, Sakura's fault, or the killers? :P Pretty tragic and traumatic experience to watch your parents and sister be murdered right before your eyes, don't you think? And What do you think happened to Touya? Does Fai know?
