Beca woke up the next morning when she felt a sharp jab into her ribs. With a quiet groan she opened her eyes to see Charlie's leg stretched out pushing against her and his head by Chloe's side. She smiled despite the pain and carefully moved him back to his pillow. She didn't know how the kid ended up like that ever night. She situated him and kissed his forehead then propped herself on up on her elbow watching her two favorite people sleep. Chloe's left hand slightly tucked under her cheek with the newly added diamond showing. Beca smiled, I can't believe I get to marry her.
"I can feel you staring, creeper." Chloe said, her voice still raspy from sleep. She smirked and opened her eyes, looking at the brunette.
"Just looking at my gorgeous fiancé." Beca replied and Chloe's smiled widened. "Feels so good to stay that."
"It really does." Chloe intertwined her hand with Beca's free one. "It will be even better when I get to call you my wife." She said as she leaned over Charlie then placed a kiss to Beca's cheek, her smile widening. "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas."
"Mewwry Chwistmas!" Charlie yelled between them, throwing his hands around each of the women's neck bringing them in for a group hug. Charlie was always cuddly in the mornings, just like his mother and Beca loved it. Once Charlie was done he jumped up on the bed. "Time to open presents?!" Beca chuckled at his excitement. She looked at the clock and saw that it was only seven am, and they were up until two wrapping presents and talking with their friends. Chloe had talked them into staying the night and having Christmas morning together. So with a quick trip to their respective apartments to grab all the presents they met back at the Beca and Chloe's just after Charlie had fallen asleep. Beca knew they would be tired but knew they really wouldn't care if Charlie was the one to wake them, actually she thought it would be funny if he woke them up like he usually did her.
"Sure buddy, let's go wake everyone up." She answered and Charlie jumped down, throwing his hands in air. "Yay!" He ran out the door yelling, both women chuckling at his energy.
"Come on." Chloe stated as she pulled Beca out of bed. "Go make sure your son doesn't injury anyone while waking them up."
"So he's my son if he injures someone?"
"Exactly."
Everyone finally made it downstairs without injury but groaning as a happy child practically pushed them down the stairs. "Fastewr! Time to open presents."
"Remind me to lock the door the next time we stay the night here." Demi stated, tying her hair as they came down the stairs, making it into the living room.
"At least he didn't jump on your back like a trampoline." Jesse added and Demi shot him a glare. "Oh. He totally jumped on you, didn't he?" Demi picked up the little rascal, blowing raspberries on his cheek making him squeal.
"You're lucky you're cute Charlie."
"Leave him alone." Diana said, taking Charlie away and giving him a kiss before putting him down. They all gathered around the tree, Chloe of course bringing out the camera taking pictures as everyone got ready to open presents. Chloe began setting all of Charlie's presents in front of him, while Beca handed out everyone else's. After about the tenth present the redhead looked at Beca and sighed. "He's getting too spoiled." She said as she gestured to the presents left to separate, most of which were her son's.
"Don't look at me." Beca pointed to Demi and Diana. "They're the ones that took two trips to bring all the presents in." Chloe gave them a pointed stare.
"Hey! Cut me a break, he's my only nephew." Demi defended while Beca raised an eyebrow.
"Nephew?"
"And besides Aubrey and Jesse are just as bad." She said ignoring Beca.
"It's true." Jesse replied.
"I guess there can be worse things." Chloe smiled admitting defeat. She took a stack over to Charlie, ruffling his hair. "Charlie you better thank everyone for all your presents." He nodded and got up giving everyone one a hug and telling him thank you. Chloe's heart warmed at the sight, not only did she have an amazing son and soon to be wife but she had great friends. When they were done handing out presents Charlie sat in between Beca's legs.
"Time to open pwresents now Mama?" He looked at her from permission. When Chloe settled by her side she gave a nod.
"Go ahead buddy." She answered and he tore into the present, throwing the paper to the side.
"A drwum!" He held up the small handheld drum in his arms then brought it back down to start beating on it. Beca and Chloe immediately groaned, knowing that was going to annoy the hell out of them. Beca picked the wrapper up reading who it was from.
"Thanks." She smarted as she looked at the culprit.
Aubrey smirked and answered. "Just payback for all these years."
Hours after all the presents where finally opened, it was just the soon to be family left in the house getting ready to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the old one). Chloe and Charlie were quietly talking on the couch when Beca walked into the room holding up the DVD.
"Are you guys ready to watch my favorite movie?"
"In just a minute." Chloe answered. She stood and grabbed the brunette's hand leading her over to the couch. "We want to give you your last present."
"I thought we already opened all of them earlier." '
"Well I wanted to wait until it was just us for you to open it." Chloe's hand disappeared behind her back only to reappear a second later with a vanilla envelope. She held it in her hands as she took a nervous breath. "What's in here is…huge and it affects all of us. If this isn't something you want, you and I can talk about it later." Beca took Chloe's hand in her own scooting closer to her.
"Whatever it is," Beca paused to think about how she wanted to say this. By Chloe's nervousness and speech, she had an idea of what it might be and she tried to calm her heart and her hopes in case she was wrong. "Whatever it is, I'm all in." She finished with conviction. Again Chloe took a deep breath before handing over the envelope. She pulled Charlie to her lap and watched Beca as she pulled the papers out and began reading. Her eyes widened and snapped her head in Chloe's direction.
"This is for real?!"
"You're already a parent, I thought it was time we make it official." Chloe smiled but it turned in to a frown when Beca choked back a sob and covered her mouth. For a second she thought it Beca didn't want this but then that sob turned into a laughed and tears flowed freely out of her. She tossed the adoption papers aside and clutched Chloe's face between her hands bringing her in for a quick kiss before taking Charlie face in her hands giving kisses all over his face. He squealed and tried to push her away but she just took him in his arms, squeezing him tight.
"I'm your Mom Charlie."
"I know! You cwushing me!" He shrieked, not realizing the importance of this moment. The woman laughed and Beca released her hold on him then wiped her tears. She looked at Chloe with nothing but love and admiration in her eyes.
"I love you guys. My family. My C squared." Beca said, never in her life had she felt more complete. She never thought this would ever happen in a million years, marrying the woman of her dreams and having the best kid in the entire world call her Mom.
"Now it's BC2." Chloe said as leaned her forehead against Beca's. "And we love you too."
"Can we watch da movie now?" Charlie asked, getting impatient at all of the mushiness. The two women chuckled and broke apart. Beca put the movie in then sat beside Chloe intertwining their hands while Charlie arranged himself across both of their laps. Beca ran her fingers across Chloe's engagement ring, making the redhead turn and smile at her.
"Best Christmas ever." She said and Beca most definitely had to agree.
