A/N: So I thought of this cute little chapter for everyone after they've gotten rid of the nogitsune, Giulietta and all of that. It's for everyone in the original pack to just have a chill day together. I hope you like it. Enjoy!
Bree put out the drinks and snacks on the coffee table in the living room as Stiles moved the couch out of the way. Scott had gotten there moments ago and was looking through their movie collection. "How many movies do you have?" Scott asked them, surprised there was still a full box he hadn't gone through yet.
"I don't know." Stiles said, stopping what he was doing to look at him like he had never taken that thought into consideration. "At least a hundred."
"At the very least." Bree told the two while standing up from her masterpiece of the snack table. Right then, the doorbell rang, causing her to move to it. When she opened the door, she saw Derek. "Hey." She told him while wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Hey." He whispered back while wrapping his arms around her waist. The two had been inseparable since they got back together which was honestly annoying Scott and Stiles.
The two began kissing which caused an eye roll in unison from the two boys. "Mind getting off my sister?" Stiles asked before they pulled away.
They were still caught up in each other though, like Stiles's words hadn't even mattered. "Where's your dad?" Derek asked.
"He'll be at the station until late taking care of the little oni situation at the sheriff's station and the hospital." She explained to him quickly.
"But everyone's coming over." Scott told them. "And no one is sneaking away to have a good time."
Bree rolled her eyes as she pulled away from Derek, looking to her best friend. "I've already explained the rules." She grabbed Derek's hand and pulled him into the living room. "Go help Scott find a movie." She told him before pushing him forward to the boxes of movies on the floor next to Scott.
"What exactly is this night supposed to be?" Stiles asked Bree as he walked over to her, watching the two sorting through the movies.
Bree put her hands on her hips, upset that no one knew exactly what tonight was supposed to be even though she had called all of them numerous times to explain. "A movie night sleepover."
"Right." Stiles said, dragging the word out. He honestly didn't know what to expect of that night. He couldn't remember the last time all of them actually had fun together. It seemed like years ago. They were all still suffering from their growing PTSD problems. Bree was beginning to have nightmares, Derek couldn't tell a dream from the reality, something was just missing from Stiles's usual personality, Scott had gotten quieter and Lydia and Allison were attaching themselves to every little memory and every single person they met, afraid that it would be gone forever in a second. Stiles knew that the night would be completely unpredictable.
In a few moments, Allison and Lydia had gotten to the house, and now all of them were at the box of DVD's, looking for something to watch. "This one!" Stiles called out while pulling out a DVD. "The Last Samurai!" Bree and Derek exchanged a face before looking back at Stiles. "There's swords, death and Tom Cruise."
"Do I need to remind you what we just went through?" Bree asked as she leaned against Derek's shoulder with an amused look on her face. "I don't think I'll be able to watch that movie for at least ten years."
Bree began rummaging through the box and then her face lit up as she pulled a movie out. "Love Actually!"
"No!" All the boys yelled out as Lydia and Allison yelled out, "Yes!"
"You force me to watch it every time it's on TV." Derek complained.
"You force me to watch it every Christmas since it came out." Stiles said, backing up Derek's argument.
"But it's so good." Lydia began, trying to make the movie's case.
"It makes me cry every time." Allison said while nodding.
Scott looked at her, surprised that Allison Argent would cry at Love Actually. "Really?"
"Like The Notebook." Lydia said, her eyes already tearing up at the thought of it.
Bree put a hand on her chest, doing the same as Lydia. "Ali doesn't even remember Noah."
"Well we can't take a vote." Stiles brought up. "There's six of us, so, sorry, Bree, but no Love Actually." He took the movie from her and threw it into another box as Bree just looked at the movie to make sure it was okay.
"What genre are we looking for?" Allison asked as she looked through one of the boxes.
"Doesn't matter." Bree said as she joined her. "Just has to be something we all agree on."
"So," Lydia began as she pulled a DVD out. "One Hour Photo?"
"No." They all spoke at once. "That is the creepiest movie in existence." Scott told her, then looked to the Stilinski twins. "Why do you guys even have that movie?"
Stiles and Bree shrugged at the same time while looking at each other. "We went through a phase." Stiles spoke as Bree took the movie and put it in the box.
Allison gasped as she pulled out a movie. "Moulin Rouge!"
"No." Bree complained before anyone else could. "The performance is next week and I've been singing 'Come What May' so many times that I think I'm gonna puke if I hear it again."
Bree put it back in the box as Scott just looked at Allison, shocked again about the movie she had picked to watch. "Who are you?"
She gave him an annoyed look as Bree walked back to her seat. "You love Moulin Rouge." Lydia said while leaning on her hand and her elbow propped up on one of the boxes.
"I know." Bree told her with a shrug. "And honestly, I'm probably going to watch the movie right after the play, but I just can't watch it right now while we're getting ready for it. It's gonna psych me out and all I'm gonna think about is how Nicole Kidman will always be a better Satine than me."
Derek put a hand on her leg and gave her a smile. "You're gonna be fantastic." He told her, causing her lips to tug into a smile, feeling a lot less stressed about the entire situation.
"No couple stuff!" Stiles reminded, causing an eye roll from them both.
"I say," Derek said as he leaned forward. "I pick the movie."
Bree's nose crinkled at that. "Why do you get to pick the movie?"
He looked back to her with a blank face. "Seriously?" She nodded like she still didn't get it. "I never pick the movie. You always pick a movie."
"Somebody pick a fucking movie." Lydia scolded them while rubbing her head.
"Okay," Derek began while looking to Bree. "To make it fair, I'm going to reach into a box and whatever movie comes out is the one we're going to watch with no objections." He looked to everyone else and shrugged. "Sound fair?"
They all nodded, and Derek reached his hand into the box, swirling it around until his hand clung to a DVD and slowly pulled it out of the box. "The Great Gatsby." Derek groaned as he read the title of the movie.
Bree's head fell back with a smile. "Yes." She whispered.
"I don't want to watch this." Derek complained.
She turned to him and began pointing at him. "You said that whatever comes out is the movie that we're going to watch. No objections." He rolled his eyes at her and nodded. "Have you even seen this movie?" He shook his head, causing Bree's mouth to drop. "Derek Hale." She scolded.
"It's a pretty good movie." Scott said with a shrug.
"I like it." Stiles told him.
"It's really good." Lydia agreed while shaking her head.
"I think you'll like it." Allison told him with a slight nod.
He looked at all of them and then ended his look at Bree. "Fine." He groaned out as she cheered, causing him to smile. "I will watch it, if you don't comment about how amazing Leonardo DiCaprio looks every second."
"He's at the top of my celebrity cheat list." She complained, causing an eyebrow raise from Derek. She sighed while she rolled her eyes. "Fine." Derek leaned forward, giving her a kiss on the cheek and then got up to go put the movie in the DVD player.
They were all cuddled together with blankets and sleeping bags as they watched the movie. Derek kept turning Bree throughout the entire movie, totally engrossed, asking her what was going to happen next while all she responded with was, "It gets better." every time.
After the movie was over, Derek had to sit there for a moment, letting it all sink in, and it was proving to be very amusing to everyone else. "Derek," Bree tried to get him out of his blank stare. "You okay?" A smile was spread across her entire face as she watched her big bad werewolf boyfriend being shocked over The Great Gatsby.
"That was like the best movie ever." He said while turning to look at her.
She nodded, the smile still all over her face. "I told you."
He rolled his eyes at her. "You were right."
"Thank you."
"What are we going to watch next?" Stiles asked as he moved over to the boxes again.
"We have to go through picking a movie again?" Lydia complained.
"This is a movie night sleepover." Bree told her as Lydia rolled her eyes at her best friend. She would rather have this though then not have Bree at all. "Who picks the movie this time?" Bree asked.
"Me!" Allison began as she made her way to the boxes full of movies. She dug through the box and pulled out a DVD, causing in an eye roll. "The Fast and the Furious."
"Yes!" All the guys cheered out.
Bree shrugged. "It could be worse."
"It's okay." Lydia said while Bree nodded in agreement.
"Okay?" Stiles asked like she had just said she killed a man. "That movie is amazing." All Lydia did was shrug, causing Stiles to shake his head at her. "There's something wrong with your brain."
"Are we gonna start the movie or not?" Scott complained as Stiles grumbled something about Lydia being crazy as he took the case from Allison, the others scooting back against the wall. Bree noticed Allison's annoyed face, causing her to pat the empty space between her and Lydia. She smiled at the girls before she crawled over to them and snuggled into them.
The six of them didn't even make it through the entire movie. They ended up falling asleep on each other. Scott had his back against Stiles's shoulder, head tilted back as he let out light snores. Stiles was leaning against Derek's shoulder, moving slightly as he slept trying to get more comfortable. Derek's head was resting against a pillow he had put up against the wall. Bree's head laid in Derek's lap, her legs next to his, a blanket draped over them both. Allison's head was on Bree's side and her legs on Lydia's lap. Lydia was following Derek's example with a pillow against the wall.
The door opened, but none of them noticed, completely knocked out. Sheriff Stilinski walked into his house to see the six curled up on each other like that. He smiled a little at the sight and looked to the TV which was showing the menu for Fast and the Furious. He moved to the TV, turning it off and turning off the light. He looked at all of them before he headed to his room. They were actually relaxing. After everything they had all been through, they had no more worries, able to enjoy being friends, able to enjoy their lives. The Sheriff smiled once more before climbing up the stairs, letting them sleep. With this being Beacon Hills, he knew they would need all the sleep they could get before something else happened, turning their lives upside down.
