Chapter 28

The next morning, the sisters just finished eating breakfast they ordered from room service when there was a knock on the door. Kiyoko decided to be the one to go answer the door to see that it was Sakyo.

"Good morning," said Sakyo. "May I come in?"

"Of course," Kiyoko replied.

"You're very kind," said Sakyo.

"Yeah, whatever," said Kiyoko. "Take a seat."

Etsu forced herself not to sigh in annoyance as she saw Sakyo following Kiyoko into the room. Kiyoko sat down next to Etsu as Sakyo sat down across from them.

"Toguro told me that you both don't want me to buy you tickets to watch the tournament," said Sakyo.

"That's right," Kiyoko confirmed.

"We can buy our own tickets," said Etsu.

"Yes, I'm sure you can, but but I already bought you the tickets," said Sakyo. "I've got these just for you."

"Since you put it that way, I guess we'll accept them," said Etsu.

"Yeah, we'll take them," Kiyoko agreed.

"I'm pleased to hear that," said Sakyo, giving the sisters VIP tickets. "Care to join me for breakfast at my suite?"

"No thanks," said Kiyoko.

"We already ate," said Etsu.

"That's too bad," said Sakyo. "Maybe we can have a drink at 6:00 tonight at my suite."

After Sakyo left back to his suite, the sisters left the hotel to explore a little bit of the island. They suddenly had the feeling that they weren't alone as they explored the island and kept their guard up, Y. Toguro showed up a moment later.

"You two shouldn't wander around this island by yourselves," said Y. Toguro. "The teams will start coming soon, along with the rest of the crime lords."

"We appreciate your concern, but we can take care of ourselves," said Kiyoko.

"I'm not implying that you can't," said Y. Toguro. "It's not the demons I'm warning you about, it's the crime lords."

"Why are you warning us about the crime lords?" asked Etsu.

"You don't want to know," Y. Toguro replied. "And you especially need to beware of Sakyo."

The sisters were about to tell Y. Toguro that they already knew to beware of Sakyo until he left without saying anything else. When the sisters got back to the hotel, they saw Sakyo in the lobby smoking a cigarette as if he were waiting for them.

"You both must be thirsty after exploring the island," said Sakyo. "How about we have that drink now instead of later?"

The sisters were hesitant to go have drinks with Sakyo as they could sense that he was up to something, but they forced themselves not to show it so he wouldn't catch on.

"Yeah, that sounds fine," said Etsu.

"It's not like we have anything better to do," said Kiyoko.

Sakyo smiled as the sisters mentally told themselves to stay on guard. He had taken them to the drinking lounge located in the hotel instead of his hotel suite. As they sat down at a table with Sakyo, the sisters noticed that there were quite a few crime lords already there.

"Order whatever you want," said Sakyo. "It's all on me."

"Thanks," said the sisters.

Sakyo motioned for a waiter and ordered a glass of wine as the sisters ordered virgin daiquiris.

"Would you both like to join me for dinner at 6:30 tonight?" asked Sakyo.

"That's very nice of you to offer," started Etsu.

"But we have to decline," Kiyoko finished.

"I understand," said Sakyo. "Maybe some other time."

"Maybe," said the sisters.

When the sisters were finished with their drinks, they thanked Sakyo and left on their way back to their suite. Sakyo continued to sit down at the table and smoked a cigarette as Y. Toguro came over to the table and sat down.

"They're harder to get close to than I thought," said Sakyo. "Maybe I'm not trying hard enough to charm them."

"Have you ever thought that maybe they're not interested?" asked Y. Toguro. "They already have romantic interests."

"Romance has nothing to do with it," Sakyo replied.

"No matter what you're up to, Etsu and Kiyoko are too smart to get caught into it," said Y. Toguro. "You might end up getting hurt if you continue trying to pursue them."

"You're probably right," Sakyo agreed.

That night, the sisters were playing chess when they got the notification call telling them that Team Urameshi had checked into the hotel. Etsu and Kiyoko took a few minutes to freshen up before leaving their suite. They were about half way to Team Urameshi's suite when they crossed paths with Rinku and Zeru. Rinku blushed once he looked at the sisters and went up to them as Zeru was scared senseless since he knew who they were.

"Hi, I'm Rinku," said Rinku. "What's yours?"

The sisters smiled as they thought Rinku was adorable and introduced themselves to him, kneeling down to his eye level.

"My name is Etsu," said Etsu.

"And mine's Kiyoko," said Kiyoko.

"Those are pretty names," Rinku complimented.

"Thanks, Rinku," said the sisters.

Rinku was about to say something else when Zeru grabbed him.

"Let's go, Rinku," said Zeru.

"Why, what's wrong, Zeru?" asked Rinku. "Why do you look scared?"

"Shut up, Rinku!" Zeru snapped. "Let's go!"

The sisters stood back up to face Zeru as they didn't like his attitude, but they didn't exchange words with him. Rinku got the sisters' attention a moment later.

"Etsu, Kiyoko, I'll be fighting in the tournament tomorrow," said Rinku. "Will you be cheering for-?"

Rinku never got to finish what he was saying as Zeru took off with him. The sisters looked at each other for a moment and continued on their way to Team Urameshi's suite. When they got to Team Urameshi's suite, Kiyoko knocked on the door. The Masked Fighter answered. The sisters were surprised as they instantly knew who it was and were about to say something until the Masked Fighter placed a finger over her covered mouth. The sisters nodded.

"Who's at the door?" asked Kuwabara.

The Masked Fighter replied by letting the sisters in.

"Hi, everyone," said Kiyoko.

"We came to support the team," said Etsu.

"We're glad you have come," said Kurama.

"Hn," Hiei agreed.

"Wake up, Urameshi," said Kuwabara. "Etsu and Kiyoko are here!"

Yusuke didn't respond as he continued to sleep.

"Are you seriously going to keep sleeping and not greet our guests?!" Kuwabara exclaimed.

"Don't worry about it," said Kiyoko.

"Yeah, let him sleep," Etsu agreed.

"You sure?" asked Kuwabara.

"Yeah," the sisters replied.

"Okay," said Kuwabara.

"Please come sit down," said Kurama.

Etsu sat down next to Hiei as Kiyoko sat down next to Kurama and visited with everybody except for The Masked Fighter and Yusuke. After visiting for awhile, the sisters wished everybody a good night and were about to leave until Kurama offered for him and Hiei to walk them back to their suite.
