Chapter Twenty Nine: The Battle Part I

Amora was visible even though they were on the ground. She was the Enchantress, she was more powerful than any witch. She stood floating in the air wearing a pale, green dress. Her skin was fair and her hair a dark yellow. She was holding silver orbs in the air. She paused before she threw it. It exploded causing the entire ground to shake.

"We're supposed to fight that?" Damon spat. "She'll crush us."

"I actually think someone else is doing the job for her," Rebekah said as they noticed that coming from the forest were thin, looking aliens with big eyes, small, triangular ears, and oozing green acid.

Stefan looked disgusted. "What are they?"

"Aliens," Natasha responded. "Amora is using them."

Elena frowned when she noticed the green acid that was pouring from their fingertips and mouth. "What is that?"

"It must be acid." Clint positioned his arrow and fired. The arrow went off and the alien exploded. They angrily raced towards them.

Caroline squealed. "I think this is the part where we run."

Natasha fired both of the guns at the same time and all though she manage to hit a couple of aliens, more still kept coming. The town square was full of them and all though Clint and Tony had been helping her out, Natasha had convinced them to go to some other parts of town.

She felt something whack her in the back. Hard.

A chair.

"Ow." She turned around and saw that a woman had thrown it.

"You are made to be controlled," the woman said in a monotype voice. "Repent and Amara will forgive you. Amara will be so grateful."

Amara must have enchanted the townspeople.

The woman grabbed a bat and started walking towards Natasha swinging it.

BAM!

The woman fell on the floor.

"You're losing your touch, Romanoff"

"Katherine." Natasha turned around as she fired off at another alien. "They're being controlled."

"I know." She said. "They got Matty blue blue as well Forbes and little gilbert had to hog tie him and lock him in a dungeon."

"Well, we can't exactly kill the townspeople."

"Can't we?" she asked innocently.
"Katherine!"

Katherine rolled her eyes. "Sorry, sorry. But if they start throwing oranges at us, I'm going for the kill."

"I love the fact that you're so sweet tempered and understanding."

Katherine smirked as she grabbed one of the aliens from the neck, held it tightly until it burst into flames. "Oh, please Romanoff you were about to do the same thing."

Thor threw his hammer in the air knocking down five of the aliens in a row. He raised up his hand and he gave a deep laugh. "I've miss this!"

"What?" Loki asked through gritted teeth as he stabbed two of the aliens in the eyes. "Risking our lives for lesser beings?"

"No. Us. Fighting together." He hesitated. "I've missed you brother."

Loki didn't respond.

"While you and Lady Katherine were out retrieving the stones I've contacted father and informed him about Amora." He said. "He will be sending sorcerers shortly. I thought that you should know."

"Why are you telling me this?" Loki growled.

There was no reproach in Thor's face. "I am just telling you in case you might want to depart before the sorcerers arrive. I know how . . . unhappy you were in your prison. And even if you no longer consider Asgard your home that doesn't mean you shouldn't be given the chance to find your happiness elsewhere."

Katherine kicked one of the aliens to the ground, and growled when she saw that at least a dozen were coming her way. She felt the prickly veins on her face as she raised her palms and small balls of flames erupted from her palms.

She looked up and smirked when she saw how pissed Amora looked. Good.

She looked to her side and saw Natasha and Elena fighting a few feet away. She wondered how Elena ended up alone without a single one of the Salvatore boys to protect her.

"You have killed my soldiers, I am most displeased." Amara's lip curled in annoyance as she rested her gaze near Natasha and Elena. Panicked rose in her chest. "Natasha, run!"

Natasha jumped and quickly went on the other side.

Elena, however didn't move. She's just stood there like a deer caught in the headlights.

Of all the stupid, idiotic things, she gritted her teeth as she pushed Elena to the ground. Amora's blast missed them by inch and instead just cause a hole in the ground. "Be useful or just leave!" Katherine snapped. "I'm not risking my life for someone who isn't worth it again."

"Katherine!"

Katherine turned around and she couldn't help but smile when she saw that Steve was coming her way. He wasn't in uniform, but he was running with a sort of desperate look on his face with his shield.

Before he could even say anything she embraced him, relaxing when she smelled his familiar, spicy cologne. She didn't think she would ever see him again. "Are you all right?"

"Yeah," Steve murmured. "Are you? Did you get the stones?"

Katherine nodded and before she could respond she suddenly started coughing up blood. Steve turned pale and before he could even talk, Katherine looked down. A sword had gone through her stomach.
