One month soon passed.

That morning, Elsa spent the last two hours cleaning and organizing her baby's nursery, which had grown to be her most favorite room in her castle. Obviously, cleaning was not a job meant for the Queen, but Elsa didn't care; in fact, she loved the feeling of cleaning through the sunrise while her baby slept peacefully in his crib. If it was a job that had anything to do with taking care of her son, then she would do it in a heartbeat.

If someone were to ask her what it was like being a mother, there just wouldn't be enough time to respond. The feeling of being a mother was just incredible, and literally life changing. All the excruciating pain and hellbent tears that she had endured during her pregnancy was worth it, every single moment of it. Oliver is hers and Jack's heart and soul; a piece of each other combined into one. Words will never be enough to express the love she has for her darling baby boy.

"Oliver. Wake up sweetheart," Elsa cooed as stood beside her baby's crib. She spent the last couple of minutes just staring at him, but as much as she would love to spend the rest of her day looking at her little boy, she knew that it was time to wake up him.

Oliver was lying on his back while the blue blanket that he had been tucked in the night before was now sprawled at the edge of the crib. Elsa smiled; he looked so precious in his little pajamas and his little socks that Anna had dressed him in last night after they gave him a bath. And not to mention, the way his blonde hair was pointing in all directions after moving around in his sleep. His hair looked almost as unruly as Jack's, and Elsa couldn't help but fall in love with her baby more than she already does.

"It's time to wake up, baby," Elsa whispered sweetly, leaning her forearms on the crib to just stare at him lovingly.

She reached over and placed his blanket back over his body, unable to take her eyes off of him. She gently rubbed her baby's tummy, which made Oliver's eyes slowly open. But after blinking a few times, he closed his eyes again.

"Oliver," laughed Elsa. "You're just making this hard for me now."

Maybe it was due to the sound of Elsa's voice, but Oliver groggily opened his eyes up again, revealing his oh, so beautiful ice blue eyes that he got from Jack. Elsa felt her chest ache with love; she will never get tired of seeing her son's perfect little face. The baby yawned before instantly spotting Elsa. A handsome, but sleepy little smile appeared on his face when he saw his mother.

Elsa gasped playfully. "Good morning, sweetie," she whispered before reaching down to pick him up from his crib. She laughed gently as she nuzzled her nose against his cheek, before placing a soft kiss on his forehead.

Oliver yawned again. His eyes were half lidded as his tiny fingers held onto the fabric of Elsa's dress. But the little Prince managed to laugh that oh, so sweet laugh of his, the laugh that was like music to Elsa's ears.

Elsa smiled as she cradled her son against her chest. "I know you're tired, sweetheart, but it's time to go downstairs for breakfast. Daddy, aunt Anna and uncle Kristoff are all waiting to see you."

The baby lightly squirmed in his soft surroundings, nuzzling his face against his mother's chest. Elsa laughed again. The sight of her son's light blonde hair made her chest glow with love. It's just impossible to explain the love she felt for her baby.

As much as Elsa would love to spend the rest of her day standing in the nursery with her baby in her arms, she couldn't. So after getting Oliver out of his sleeping attire and into a fresh pair of clothes, she exited the nursery before heading downstairs to the dining hall, where she found Jack, Anna and Kristoff all sitting at the long, wooden dining table.

"Look who finally woke up," Elsa smiled as she walked into the room.

Jack, Anna and Kristoff turned around, watching Elsa gracefully walk in with the sleepy baby in her arms. A huge smile grew on Jack's face when he saw his son.

"Are you sure he's awake?" Jack asked, watching as Oliver yawned once more before nuzzling his face back into Elsa's chest.

"Well, he's still a bit tired," Elsa said, before carefully pulling back to look at their son. "Look, Oliver! It's Daddy!"

Jack smiled before holding his arms out, in which Elsa gently handed Oliver off into his embrace. Jack looked down at his baby and smiled. "Hey, sleepyhead. Don't tell me you're gonna fall asleep right before I leave!"

Elsa laughed as she reached over to give Jack a quick kiss. "Do you have to leave soon?"

Jack sighed. "Yeah. North is expecting me to be there by tonight."

Jack was getting ready to return to the North Pole for another week; on top of being a new father, Jack had to remind himself that he is still a Guardian, which unfortunately meant leaving Elsa and their son for a couple days at a time.

However, it wasn't that easy. The thought of leaving Elsa and Oliver in Arendelle while he was flying around the world making it snow made him sick, not only because this will be the first time leaving his family behind, but because of Pitch Black. Everything that Pitch had told him had never left his head. And now that the baby is born, it only made Jack's fear increase.

But he needed to leave to return to the North Pole. He needs to talk to the other Guardians. They need to come up with a plan to stop Pitch. Just because they've done it once, doesn't mean that they can defeat him like they did before. Jack thought back to his and Pitch's last encounter that happened a few months ago; Pitch was stronger than ever, more motivated, more demanding.

But what scares Jack the most is knowing how much time he has left before Pitch returns. And that wasn't very much time at all...

"Can you at least stay until breakfast is over?" Elsa asked, looking up to catch his gaze.

Jack looked down, finding himself lost in Elsa's stunning blue eyes, which only made things worse for him. Even if it's just for a couple days at a time, how was he ever going to leave her and Oliver behind while some nightmarish demon is on the loose?

Jack forced a smile and nodded. "Of course," he said.

For obvious reasons, Anna and Kristoff were the only ones who ate breakfast that morning, while Elsa and Jack sat across from them, feeding their baby boy, which was a task that became more and more difficult each time. Since Oliver has immortal blood running through his body, he aged much slower than most babies. However, taking care of him was just as hard as taking care of any other baby.

"Jack, Elsa. Someone's staring at you," Kristoff said with a smile.

Elsa followed her brother-in-law's gaze, only to find herself staring into the blue eyes of her baby, who went from sitting in Jack's lap, to sitting in his aunt Anna's lap across the table. Oliver's large blue eyes flickered between his parents, who were both staring back, both admiring the cute little look of wonder on their son's face.

"Hi, sweetie," Elsa smiled.

"I swear, your baby is obsessed with you two," Anna joked.

Elsa couldn't help but laugh. "You should've seen Oliver last night. Jack was playing with him until Oliver wore out, and he ended up falling asleep on Jack's chest. It was so cute."

"Speaking of me..." Jack began. "I have to get going soon. Right now, actually."

Elsa frowned. "Already?"

Jack nodded. Out of all the times he has left Arendelle to return to the North Pole, today was definitely the hardest of them all, not only because of Pitch, but because this is his first time leaving Elsa and Oliver.

"Well, okay," sighed Elsa. "Here, Oliver and I will walk you out."

Anna and Kristoff bid Jack goodbye before Elsa took Oliver out of her sister's arms and into hers again. As per usual, Elsa was never happy whenever Jack left to go do his Guardian duties for a few days, but today also seemed to be most difficult for her too. With the baby in her arms, she and Jack walked out of the dining room, through the castle's main hallway, and out the front doors until they were standing on the front steps of the castle's entrance.

"This is harder than usual," sighed Jack as he swung his staff over his shoulder. "I've never left you and Oliver before."

"I know. But we'll be fine, won't we, baby?" Elsa smiled, turning to their son, who gave his mother a sweet little smile in return, as if he understood what she said.

Jack felt fear and anxiety fill up his body. This was the last thing he ever wanted, to leave the two most important people in his life behind while he flies to another part of the world, all while the immortal form of the devil is out to hurt them. Even though Jack knows that there are just a few more months until Pitch returns, the fear in his icy body only increased.

Elsa noticed the tone in Jack's face, and assuming it was due to him not wanting to leave, she reached over and intertwined one of her hands through his. "Jack, don't worry. You're only gone for a few days, after all. We'll be fine, I promise."

Jack looked up, and immediately regretted doing so. Just seeing Elsa and Oliver's blue eyes staring at him made this a trillion times more challenging. But he managed to force a smile before stepping in to wrap an arm around Elsa's waist, so that Oliver was right between them both.

"I know," said Jack. "But it's harder now, especially now that we have a baby. I'd rather be with you and Oliver, rather than listen to North and Bunny's voices all day. I'm just gonna miss you both, that's all."

Elsa smiled; this was a side of Jack that she has rarely ever seen. Of course, she knew that Jack loved children. As the Guardian of Fun, he absolutely loves kids. But it just made her feel all warm on the inside hearing Jack speak so compassionately about their family.

"Just don't miss us too much," Elsa joked.

Jack laughed quietly before tilting his head, close enough that his lips were barely ghosting over Elsa's. "I'll try not to, but that means we're going to have a lot of catching up to do once I return."

"Yeah?" Elsa raised an eyebrow. "And how are we going to do that?"

"Hmm, I was thinking something like this," Jack murmured before slowly leaning in to press his lips upon hers, being careful not to squish their baby boy who was still in between them in Elsa's arms.

Elsa stifled a laugh before pulling away from the kiss. "Jack, not in front of our son!"

The Guardian couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Our son is four months old. He doesn't even know what's going on."

"Still..." said Elsa.

"Aww, come on. You never let me kiss you," said Jack.

Elsa frowned. "I do," she said. "Only if we're alone, though."

"Yeah, but when are we ever alone? You're busy running an entire kingdom, I'm busy flying around the world making it snow, and we're both taking care of our son - three things that we are stuck doing for the rest of our lives. Literally. A little intimacy won't hurt," said Jack.

Usually, Elsa would completely disagree with whatever Jack said, using her title as Queen as defense, with excuses such as 'Maintaining her status as a reserved and regal Queen' or something like that. But she knew Jack was right; she has always been way too uptight outside of the privacy of her bedroom chambers.

"Fine," she sighed before leaning in to place a gentle, yet loving kiss on Jack's lips. No matter how many times she and Jack have kissed, it always sent butterflies to her stomach. Each kiss always felt like the first.

Jack pulled away and smiled. He was just so in love with her, that he almost forgot about returning to the North Pole for just one moment - until Elsa decided to speak up.

"Say hello to the others for me, okay?" she said quietly.

Jack sighed to himself, but nodded. "I will," he replied, before looking down to meet the eyes of his baby boy. "Promise Daddy that you won't give your mother too much of a hard time while I'm gone. We gotta do that together, okay?"

Elsa rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but smile. It was incredibly amazing seeing Jack interact with children. Even though Jack has told her countless of stories of the kids he has seen and met over the course of 300 years of him being immortal, it was different seeing it in real life, especially with their own child. It was clear that Oliver has a special father-son bond with Jack, and it was everything that Elsa could ask for in her family.

"You're gonna miss Daddy, aren't you, Oliver?" Elsa said sweetly as she carefully bounced the baby in her arms.

"Of course he will," smiled Jack, before reaching over to gently ruffle his baby's hair. Oliver laughed and cooed in return, before Jack leaned in to give his son a kiss on his cheek.

Watching Jack and Oliver made Elsa want to melt into a puddle of emotions and feelings; she was just so in love with her family. Back when she was pregnant, Elsa never really cared about whether her baby will be a girl or boy. But now, she was so glad that hers and Jack's first child came out as a darling baby boy. There just wasn't enough males in their family; Elsa has a sister, Jack had a sister, and neither of them ever had brothers before. It was nice having a Prince in the royal family for a change.

"Anyway, I should get going before North and Bunny really yell at me," said Jack, returning his gaze upon Elsa.

Elsa frowned again. The last few moments before separation were always the hardest. She leaned in and gave him another kiss, letting this one linger a few seconds longer, before saying, "Just try and come home soon, okay?"

Jack knew he couldn't make any promises, especially since he desperately needs to talk to the others about the situation with Pitch, but he did his best to smile for her. "I'll try my best."

"I love you," she sighed.

"I love you too," he replied.

After giving Elsa one last kiss on the lips, and giving Oliver one last kiss on the top of his head, Jack gripped onto his wooden staff, lifted his feet off the ground, and flew up into the air, away from Arendelle, and away from the two people he loved more than anything.

Once Jack left, leaving a cold trail of snowflakes behind, Elsa adjusted Oliver in her arms before walking back into the castle, and back into the dining hall. The plates and silverware were now gone, and the table was completely cleared from their morning breakfast.

"Anna?" called Elsa when she saw that her sister wasn't there.

"Living room!" Anna's voice answered.

Luckily, the living room was right beside the dining hall, so it didn't take much to get there. Elsa sighed in satisfaction when the toasty warmth of the living room hit her skin. Even though she loves the cold, there were times where she would rather stay by the fireplace.

Elsa raised an eyebrow. "Where's Kristoff?" she asked, as she sat down on the sofa across from her sister.

"He left to go feed Sven," answered Anna. "Did Jack leave yet?"

"Yeah," Elsa sighed. "I'm a little bit worried about him."

"Why?"

Elsa shrugged. "It's just...Jack seemed a bit bothered by something before he left. I wanted to ask him if there was something wrong, but I didn't want to hold him back from leaving. But the way he acted was so strange. It was as if he was afraid to leave us, even if he's only gone for a couple of days."

"Oh, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, Elsa. After all, he is leaving you and Oliver for the first time since the pregnancy and you becoming immortal. Of course it would be hard to leave to go do his Guardian obligations. Jack's just being a good father, that's all. He loves you and Oliver so much," said Anna.

Elsa sighed, hoping that Anna was right. But there was just something about saying goodbye to Jack today that made her wonder if there really was something going on. Also, why was Jack so eager to return to the North Pole? He usually dreaded leaving Arendelle, and often wouldn't care if he was late, even if it meant hearing a lecture from North. So why on earth was he so keen on returning today?

Elsa was just so thankful that she was around her son and her sister, otherwise her thoughts and worries would have made her mind explode.

"Mama and Papa would have been so proud of you," Anna smiled. "I wish they could see how much you've changed as a person, Elsa."

Elsa smiled. There wasn't a day that went by where she didn't think about her parents; she missed them more and more everyday. "I'm just trying to do my best for Oliver, just like how Mama and Papa did with us."

"Well, you and Jack are doing a fantastic job," Anna smiled at her sister. "I can't wait until Kristoff and I can have that same experience with our own children one day."

"Have you been thinking about having kids?" asked Elsa, although it did feel weird asking her little sister this question.

"Well, sometimes. I mean, it would be so nice for our family to have all these little princes and princesses running around our castle. But as of now, Kristoff and I are happy where we are. Having Oliver as our nephew is good enough for us," Anna said happily.

Elsa smiled as she looked down at her son, who was quietly sitting in her lap. It was clear that Oliver had stolen the hearts of everyone around him, especially his parents, and she was just so proud that something so sweet and innocent belonged to her and Jack.

"How about you, Elsa?" Anna asked. "Are you and Jack planning on having anymore kids?"

"Anna!" Elsa laughed, trying to hide her embarrassment. "I just had Oliver a few months ago."

"That doesn't mean you can't think about having more kids in the future," said Anna.

Elsa sighed to herself. She has never thought about having more kids. In fact, she has never thought about having kids at all - ever. As grateful as she is for her baby boy, becoming pregnant with Oliver was never planned between her and Jack.

"I don't know," Elsa answered quietly. "If you asked me this question a year ago, I would have definitely said no. But..."

Anna beamed. "But what?"

Elsa shrugged, but managed to smile. "But when you become a parent, everything around you changes. I just can't imagine not being a mother anymore."

"But do you want to have more children?" asked Anna.

"Maybe someday, but not anytime soon," said Elsa. "After everything that Jack and I have been through, with the baby dying, returning back to life, with me becoming immortal and all the physical pain that I put myself through, one baby is enough for us right now. The last thing I need is to go through all that again."

Anna nodded in agreement. Elsa went through blood, sweat and tears during her pregnancy, and Anna saw it all. Anna remembers how miserable Elsa was, how agonizing the pain must have felt. She could still feel the way Elsa's nails dug into her skin as she pushed the baby out, the way Elsa wanted to rip the entire place apart for the torturous and excruciatingly painful pregnancy.

"Well, you two do have all the time in the world. Literally," said Anna.

"Yeah," Elsa sighed. This whole immortality thing still felt absolutely bizarre to her.

"Anyway," Anna began, which was her way of changing the topic, much to Elsa's relief. "Has Oliver developed any of his powers yet?"

"Not yet, which is odd. I remember Mama and Papa told me that I had developed my powers right away when I was born," said Elsa.

"Hmm, maybe it takes some time," said Anna.

"I can't wait until he develops them, though. Jack and I are so excited to teach him how to use them," Elsa said with a smile. She couldn't believe that she had once feared her baby's powers when he was still in the womb.

"Has Oliver seen yours and Jack's powers yet?" Anna asked.

Elsa nodded. "Jack was playing around with his powers a few days ago, and he made snowflakes fall above Oliver's head. You should have seen the look on Oliver's face. He was so mesmerized by all the ice and snow. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen."

"Jack is a great father. You must be so proud of him," smiled Anna.

"I am. I never would have expected him to be the fatherly type because he's all fun and games, but he definitely proved me wrong. I am very proud of him," Elsa gushed, biting her bottom lip to hide her embarrassment.

Anna smiled as she watched her sister. "You really do love him, don't you," she said, although she already knew the answer.

"I do," Elsa replied without hesitation. "He changed me, Anna. He taught me how to open up to my feelings, he showed me how to love again. I'm proud of the fact that I have powers, only because he showed me that being different is a good thing. I'm not afraid to express my fears and feelings around him because he understands. Both Jack and I have suffered through loss and loneliness, but when I'm around him, he makes me forget about everything that happened in the past."

"That's what I love about Jack. Not only is he like an older brother to me, but he makes you so happy. Ever since you met him, I've noticed that you're happier and more accepting of yourself because of him," said Anna.

Elsa bit back a flustered smile. "Before I met Jack, I was fine with the idea of ruling Arendelle alone. Even though the kingdom was urging me to find a king, I refused because it would most likely end up as an arranged marriage between me and some prince that I don't even know, and I didn't want that. Even if I did end up with someone, I wanted it to be real and not forced."

Anna stared at her sister as she listened. Before Jack stepped into their lives, Elsa has always been about work and no play. And Anna had to admit, she had once worried that her sister would never find love because Elsa was never interested. Whenever someone brought up the topic of marriage or finding a suitor for her, Elsa would simply ignore it. She couldn't care less about it.

Anna smiled and said, "But then Jack came out of nowhere and broke down that icy barrier of yours."

Elsa laughed. "There was just something about him that intrigued me. It wasn't our similarities in powers, or that he was able to fly, but it was the way he made me feel normal. He didn't care that I was different, that I had powers or that I was Queen. Jack treated me like a normal human being. He's the first person who has ever treated me like a normal person, as if I was never afraid of myself."

"And then something impossible happened. You fell in love," teased Anna.

"I did," Elsa smiled shyly.

Anna grinned, which Elsa caught.

"What?" asked Elsa.

"Nothing," Anna smiled, then shrugged. "It's just, I've never heard you express your feelings about anything the way you do whenever you talk about Jack. You look like you're about to melt whenever you talk about him."

Elsa bit back an embarrassed smile. She has always been very private and reserved towards her relationship with Jack to a point where people often questioned how the calm and quiet Queen Elsa ended up with someone like Jack, who is the complete opposite. But it was only around certain people, mostly Anna and Tooth, where Elsa wasn't afraid to gush over how Jack Frost makes her feel.

Anna couldn't help but laugh when she saw how embarrassed her sister looked. "You are sooo in love with him."

"He makes me happy," Elsa said softly, but she knew 'happy' was just an understatement. There aren't enough words to describe how he makes her feel.

"Hmm, maybe there's more to Jack than just his good looks. Anyone who is able to win my sister's heart gets my approval," said Anna, joking of course. She already approved of Jack the moment she met him for the first time.

Elsa laughed. "Oh, there is definitely more to Jack than just his looks. However, he is very attractive, isn't he."

Anna laughed and nodded. "He is."

Elsa couldn't remember how it exactly happened, but she, the Queen of Arendelle, did end up falling in love with the winter Guardian who trespassed her castle one morning. Elsa had decided to break the news to the public about a year after she met Jack. She was starting to get annoyed of all the written proposals she was receiving from royals that lived across the sea, and Jack wasn't too fond of seeing Elsa receive them either.

"Aren't you gonna read them?" Jack muttered as he leaned against the wall, motioning to the pile of letters and scrolls that Elsa had just received, letters from eligible princes asking for the Queen's hand in marriage.

"No," Elsa answered simply, not bothering to take her eyes off of the book she was indulged in.

Jack raised an eyebrow. "Why not? Maybe one of them will end up as Arendelle's future king," he said, almost with a sneer.

Elsa frowned before putting her book down. She got up from her seat and walked over to Jack before intertwining her hands through his. She felt her heart thump madly in her chest when her blue eyes met his.

"Don't ever say that again, Jack," she said quietly. "You know how I feel about you."

"I know, but..." Jack shrugged before pulling her closer. "But everyone's waiting for you to find a husba-"

"Doesn't matter," Elsa cut him off. "No matter how many princes or kings write to me, I will always want you, Jack. I don't want to be with anyone else but you, and I will never let anything come between us."

So she had finally put those annoying proposals to a stop when Elsa decided to tell the kingdom about her and Jack. At first, people were shocked that the mysterious white-haired young man was not a duke, nor a prince or anything of that sort. In fact, he just came out of nowhere. But then people started to realize that their beloved Queen had finally found someone after all these years, and soon accepted Jack Frost as a part of Arendelle's royal family.

"Have you ever thought about getting married?" asked Anna.

Anna knew that Jack would probably be mortified that she was asking Elsa this. After all, she did almost spill the beans to Elsa about Jack wanting to propose soon. But at the same time, Anna knew that she was helping Jack by asking Elsa; when he was telling her about wanting to propose to Elsa, Jack said that the only thing holding him back was not knowing whether or not he and Elsa were ready for this next step. So Anna figured that asking Elsa herself wouldn't do any harm, just as long as Elsa doesn't find out what she's doing.

Elsa sighed deeply and adjusted Oliver in her lap, who was fidgeting around, before looking at her sister. "I have thought about it before. But...but I'm not really sure what to feel about it."

Anna raised her eyebrow. "Are you having doubts or something?"

"No, of course not," said Elsa. "There isn't a single doubt in my mind about how Jack and I feel about each other. But with me busy being Queen, with Jack busy being a Guardian, and with us taking care of Oliver, it's just going to be difficult with all that responsibility."

"So, for example, what if Jack proposed to you tomorrow? What would you say?" Anna asked.

Elsa looked down for a few moments, her eyes blankly staring at the top of her son's head. "I would say yes to him, of course. He's my best friend, the father of my child, and I love him more than anything. But..."

Anna frowned. "But?"

Elsa took another deep breath. "But as much as I love him, I don't think there's any rush to get married."

"But a wedding is different. It makes it all official," Anna said.

"I know," Elsa answered.

"Elsa Frost does have a nice ring to it," said Anna.

"It does sound pretty..." Elsa sighed.

Anna raised an eyebrow. "Then what's holding you back?"

Elsa shrugged. "There's nothing holding me back. I do want Jack and I to be married one day, but I don't see it happening any time soon. We do have the rest of our lives together, after all."

Anna frowned. That wasn't the answer she was hoping for. But Elsa did have a point; she has a lot more responsibility to take in, with being Queen and the mother of a baby. If Anna could, she would literally start planning the wedding right now, even though Jack hasn't proposed yet. But as much as Anna would love to see Jack and Elsa get married as soon as possible, there's no reason to rush into it, since they do have the rest of eternity together.

Elsa tilted her head in confusion. "Why were you asking, though?"

"No reason," Anna said, a little too quickly.

But thankfully, Elsa didn't notice because Oliver started to fuss about in her arms before sweet, tiny, yet heartbreaking cries left his lips.

"Oh, sweetheart. What's wrong?" Elsa cooed, lifting her son up to lightly kiss him on his cheek.

"Aww, do you think he notices that Jack is gone?" Anna asked, slightly thankful that they had moved away from their previous topic.

"Probably. Or he could be hungry again," answered Elsa, before looking down at her baby once more. Oliver's large blue eyes were filled with tears, and the sight of it just destroyed Elsa. "Oh, Oliver, don't cry. I know you miss Daddy. I miss him too."

Elsa used her fingers to lightly wipe away Oliver's tears, before leaning in to kiss the tip of her son's nose.

"Me and Daddy love you more than anything, and I promise that Daddy will be home soon," Elsa whispered to her baby boy, but she too, was missing Jack more than usual.

Jack arrived at the North Pole a few hours later. The feeling of leaving Elsa and Oliver back in Arendelle still worried and sickened him to no end. He could sense that Elsa was suspicious of him being eager to leave Arendelle all of a sudden, but what could he say to her? That some villain is out to hurt their family and that he's trying to come up with a way to stop it? Jack absolutely hates lying to her, but there were crucial times where lying was the only solution.

After flying through North's army of elves and yetis, he arrived at the Globe Room, where North kept a gigantic globe of the earth that glittered with lights that represented each believing child.

"North," Jack said, the moment he spotted his fellow Guardians at the end of the room.

They all turned around to see Jack fly in. This was one of the rare times where none of them had a smile on their face.

"Jack, we didn't know you'd be coming back today," said Tooth. She, along with North, Bunny and Sandy were surprised to see Jack at the Pole after so long, knowing that it was hard for him to leave his family back in Arendelle.

"I wasn't going to come, but I had to," Jack answered.

"Are Elsa and Oliver doing okay?" asked Bunny.

He nodded. "They're fine. For now, at least," he said, feeling his chest ache as he said it.

The other four Guardians glanced at each other; they all understood.

"That's why you came back today," North said. "Because of Pitch."

Jack inhaled deeply and closed his eyes for a couple moments to try and calm down. He looked up and met the other's gazes. "Today would have been Elsa's ninth and final month of her pregnancy if Oliver wasn't born four months early. Elsa would have given birth some time this week."

Tooth gasped. "And Pitch...he says he's giving you a year before he returns."

"Elsa was only two months pregnant when I encountered Pitch," Jack said, trying his best not to sneer Pitch's name.

North sighed. "Which means that we only have five months left before he returns."

Jack closed his eyes shut as Pitch's words echoed throughout his icy body.

'One year, Frost. You have one year. If you want to protect Elsa and the rest of those pathetic Guardians, then you will hand your child over to me.'

"All this, just to get what he wants," Jack whispered.

"Jack..." Tooth said gently as she flew over to him. "We can do this. We've done it before. It's us against Pitch. We're at our most powerful when we're together, especially when it comes to protecting the ones who are most important to us."

Jack exhaled as he kept his frosted gaze to the floor. Oh, how he desperately wanted to believe her.

Even the thought of Pitch being within Elsa and Oliver's range made him sick. Pitch already tainted Elsa's dreams before, and Jack knows that Pitch would gladly do it again, if it meant torture and taking their child as his own.

But Jack would willingly sacrifice himself, just to save the two most important people in his once lonely and misunderstood existence.

Even if it meant disappearing - the immortal equivalent of death.

Writing sisterly scenes between Elsa and Anna is always fun, especially when Anna tries to dig deeper into Elsa and Jack's relationship. And precious little Oliver. Need I say more? :)

And what about Pitch?

Thanks so much for reading. Reviews are very much appreciated!

See you next chapter.
