So far the new year is going well, but I still think we need some more time before things get better. Thanks to everyone for the support of the last chapter and glad you are all liking how things are going. I appreciate it and I hope you continue to like what happens next. Also getting cloer and closer to where we left off with the original story so we're getting there guys.
I don't own anything of Pokémon just my OCs. I want to thank everyone for the OCs you left, I appreciate it. Oh and by the way for those who don't know: the Italic or at times a flashback, will represent the Pokémon talking and Bold is for thoughts. All right, time for the next chapter to begin!
Battle at the lake
Forest (Dawn's pov)
"We're lost…again," said Ryan sitting on the ground.
"We're not lost," Derek replied. "We just took a little wrong turn."
That means we're lost! Rachel shouted.
It turns out the little shortcut that we took ended up taking us farther away from where Cynthia's villa is at. Derek tried leading the way again with Iris's help, but the two siblings ended up getting us even more lost. I tried teleporting all of us to the Pokémon Center, but we were too far away. So they tried finding the way out, but we ended up more lost than the second time.
"Yeah, I checked we're not lost. We're getting close to the villa," said Iris feeling confident.
You two realize I can read your minds and I know you two have no clue where we are. Rachel is sitting on a log with Grace nearby playing with her red ball.
"Fine, so we got a little lost," said Derek admitted, "Look we'll find the villa. We always get to where we need to go even if we get a little lost."
This doesn't count as a 'little lost', you know that. Rachel replied.
I decided to get involved so we can end this problem, "All right let's just drop the whole 'blame Derek' thing and let's just try to find our way out."
"Dawn is right. We won't get anywhere by blaming Derek and Iris. We can do that later," said Ryan getting two glares from our friends. "Now let's put our heads together and try to find another way out of here."
"Derek, do you still have your Dragonite?" I asked hoping Derek's answer is yes.
"Oh yeah I still have her," Derek threw his pokeball out and released his Pokémon "Dragonite, go out and look for a large villa that should be near the beach. If you see it, then come back here to show us where it is."
Dragonite nodded and flew off. Well, let's hope that works. I'm going to go look for some fruit. I'm hungry.
"I'll go with you," Ryan offered, and then he turned towards me, "Hey, mind keeping an eye on Grace?"
I nod my head in response, "No problem."
I didn't mind keeping an eye on Grace. When she plays with her red ball she becomes so focus on it that it keeps her out of trouble. She's like my mom's Glameow and the yarn ball she has. Once she starts playing with it she will ignore everything else around her.
As soon as Ryan and Rachel rook off, I sat down near a tree to get some rest. I see Derek and Iris climbing a nearby tree probably to wait for Dragonite to return.
"Well Grace, it looks like it's just you and me," I turned my head to where Grace is, till I see she's gone, "What the, Grace? Where are you?"
Meanwhile (Normal pov)
Grace looked around for her missing ball after it rolled away deep into the forest. She took off for it forgetting to tell Dawn about her ball going into the forest. She figured she wouldn't take long to find and retrieve it. Little did she know that with each step she takes, the more she will be lost.
Letting out a frustrated sigh she kept on searching regretting her actions about throwing her ball too hard. Her mom told her not to do this knowing it will end up getting lost, but she didn't think it would happen.
"Where are you?" she asked still looking for her ball.
After about a few more minutes later she decides to give up and would have to get her parents to help her. But when she turns around she realizes she couldn't see where the others are anymore. She tries using her powers to find her way back, but she was still too young and couldn't sense where everyone is at. It soon dawned on her that she is now lost in the forest, alone.
Tears begin forming around her eyes, scared of being alone. "Mom! Dad! Where are you?!" she cried out hoping they would answer back, but no answer came.
She falls to the ground and begins sniffling even louder. "What do I do now?" she asked herself.
Suddenly her red ball rolled in front of her causing her spirit to be lifted. She wipes away her tears and grab her ball before it leaves again.
"I'm glad I found you," she looks around again realizing she is still lost. "But how will we find mommy and daddy?"
Just then she spots something nearby giggling. Narrowing her eyes she sees what appears to be something floating near the trees. The soft giggles made Grace feel better and produce some giggles of her own. The figure begins taking off with Grace following it.
"Wait! Come back!" Grace shouted not knowing that the figure is leading her back to the others, with Dawn frantically looking for her.
(Dawn's pov)
Rachel is soooo going to kill me. Those are the words that kept repeating in my head, because they are true. If she finds out I lost Grace, she is going to kill me.
As soon as I turn around I realized that Grace was gone and I couldn't find her. I had Derek and Iris help out by looking for her from the trees, while I look at the ground. Despite our best efforts we couldn't find her. I soon felt a cold chill run up my spine fearing what Rachel is going to do to me when she finds out I lost her child.
The kind of things a female Psychic-Pokémon would do to people for harming or losing their children would make anyone quiver in their feet. What am I going to do?
"Dawn," I turned around and see Derek walking towards me. "Are you ok…"
I didn't give Derek a chance to finish as I ran up to him and grabbed his shoulders. I then began shaking him, hoping he found Grace. "Did you find her? Where is she? Please tell me you found her? Please tell me she is with Iris right now and that she is okay so her mother doesn't hurt me."
"We...couldn't…find…her. Please…stop…shaking…me…before…I…barf!" I stopped shaking Derek and saw Iris coming down the tree.
"Sorry Dawn," Iris apologized. "Don't worry though we'll find her before Ryan and Rachel find out."
"She's right," said Derek who is a little wobbly and was off-balanced. "Whoa, dizzy. You've got to relax."
"I can't relax," I replied feeling panicky. "If Rachel finds out I lost her she is going to kill me. What am I going to do?"
"You could run away with Derek and live up in the mountains until she calms down," Iris suggested. "Although I'm sure with her powers she would hunt you down and then make you pay for losing her. But would make me pay for not telling her where you guys went, so it would be best I got with you to avoid her wrath."
"I'll grab the stuff and head on out," said Derek.
"Not funny guys," I said before falling to the ground admitting defeat. "What am I going to do? Rachel left me in charge of Grace and I lost her. She's probably scared and it's because I took my eyes off her for a few seconds."
Derek sits down next to me and grabs my hand. "Everything will be okay. We'll find her and we'll make sure nothing Rachel doesn't try hurting you," he leans forward and kisses me on the cheek. "Okay?"
I formed a small smile glad that I have my friends with me. "Thanks."
"That's what I'm here for," said Derek when we heard Rachel calling out for us.
We're back! I yelped a little and hid behind Derek. Um what happened?
Derek stepped up to help protect me, "Oh um nothing so did you guys find some fruits?"
Ryan shook his head a little, "We did find some, but they belong to some Pokémon so we decided to leave them alone. So, how was Grace? Did she behave?"
I decided to confess and hope Rachel won't kill me, "Um guys about Grace she um," I saw Grace appearing behind Ryan and Rachel, "She's right behind you guys."
Rachel and Ryan turn around and seen Grace with her red ball. Hi mommy, hi daddy.
Rachel smiled and picked her daughter up. Hi sweetie, did you behave with Dawn?
Grace nods her head in response. Yes mommy. I behaved and played with my red ball.
I sighed in relief glad Grace is back and that she didn't say she got lost, "Yeah, she loves that red ball."
Ryan smiled, "Yes she does. Thanks for the help Dawn."
I smiled nervously, "N-no problem Ryan."
Grace nodded her head as Rachel took her daughter to get some food, while I turned to Derek and Iris, "Thank you so much guys for finding her."
"Um, we didn't find her. We told you that," said Iris.
"Same here, I guess she just took a stroll?" Derek replied looking confused.
I turn my head towards where Grace is and I sigh in relief, "Well, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that she's safe and Rachel is not going to kill me."
Sinnoh (Normal pov)
In Twinleaf town, Johanna is taking a small stroll around the forest along with her friend Annabeth to check on Lake Verity. After getting back from the Grand Festival, they heard rumors of something going on at the lake. It turns out the same gang they encountered months ago and seem to be causing trouble. Each time the professor went there with the police the gang could not be found.
Professor Rowan decided to meet with an old friend of his to talk about what happened at the lake, while he asked the two women to keep an eye out. Annabeth was supposed to leave to Hoenn, but extended her stay to help her friend out.
After getting their Pokémon they head back to the forest to check around. Just in case the same people from last time do return, but also made a call to a friend of theirs to show up just in case they do run into more than they can handle.
"Okay so according to the assistant they said they spotted the group a few days ago," said Annabeth following the trail to the lake. "They said the group have light green hair, uniforms with the G letter in the middle, and resemble the same people we fought before."
"So it is them," said Johanna following her friend. "This time we're ready to take them down."
"Just stay on your guard," said Annabeth not wanting to run into some trouble. "If we do find them we'll need a plan."
Johanna stared at her friend confused. "Coming up with a plan? That's so unlike you."
Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Ha-ha. Very funny. I just don't want to risk getting our butts kicked in case these guys brought back up."
"Very true," said Johanna as they arrive to the lake.
After taking cover they see several men and women wearing the Team Galactic uniform working around the lake. They seem to be working on some machines that they set up. Annabeth noticed nearby several injured Pokémon, causing her to get angry. Johanna helped keep her friend calm as they see a large helicopter landing nearby.
Out from the helicopter came two older women wearing the Team Galactic symbols, but with different outfits than the others. One of the women has purple hair, while the other has red. They gave orders to the grunts showing they are in charge. Annabeth noticed one of the grunts carrying something towards the helicopter that let out a small cry from inside.
"Johanna, go help the Pokémon," Annabeth pointed at the Pokémon nearby. "I'll go get the container."
Johanna nods in response and goes to help the Pokémon. Annabeth meanwhile goes near where the helicopter is at and ad tosses out her Pokéball.
"Go! Torterra!" out from the Pokéball came her Pokémon. "Get that container!"
Torterra uses its fines to grab the container from the grunt getting the attention of Team Galactic. The two women look over and see the older woman come out of the forest.
"Who are you guys? And what are you doing here?" Annabeth asked.
The two women are revealed to be the lieutenants of Team Galactic. They are Mars and Jupiter who were sent to bring Cyrus what they need for their plan to work. They figure the job would be simple to handle, but now they find themselves dealing with a small problem. In the form of the woman who is now standing before them.
"What we're doing here is none of your business," said Jupiter who didn't have time to waste on the older woman. "Return the container or else."
Annabeth looked over to see Johanna successfully getting the Pokémon away. She needed to buy more time though to get them far from the fighting.
"Not going to happen," Annabeth replied as Torterra places the container near his trainer. "If you want this, then come and get it."
"Johanna, let's go," Johanna nodded and the two women come out from behind the bushes and sent out their Pokémon, "Torterra get that container!"
"We'll see old lady," said Mars as she turns towards Jupiter. "Let's finish this old bag and then leave."
Jupiter nods and lets out her Pokéball as her Pokémon Skuntank came out. "We'll make this quick, but painful for your interference."
Mars throws out a Pokéball. Purugly appeared as it lets out a loud roar. "You'll have only yourself to blame for getting involved in something that isn't your business."
"Two on one huh?" Annabeth asked. "Why am I not surprise you guys are not playing fair?"
"Then let's make it even," Johanna appeared from the forest and throws out her Pokéball as Masquerain appeared. "You ready?"
Annabeth nods in response. "The others?"
Johanna smiled and nods. "They're okay. Now let's show this kid what we're made of."
Unova (Ryan's pov)
We finally made it back to the road after Dragonite led us out of the forest. We also found out where Cynthia's villa is at and where to find it. Derek decided to fly off to meet up with Cynthia, with Dawn flying with him. Rachel, Iris, and I decided we would walk to the villa giving us time to check out the view of the sea nearby.
It was peaceful and it felt nice to feel the sea breeze. We also spotted some Pokémon that we've never seen before and how they looked so different from the other regions we've been to. I looked down to see Grace looking through the bag at the Pokémon we were seeing. She looked very excited and was amazed like we were.
I got Grace out of the bag and decided to get her to stretch her legs. As we walked we hear her giggling about something.
"Um Grace, what is so funny?" I asked.
Because of my new friend. She's very funny daddy. That left Rachel and I confused about what she is saying.
Friend? What friend? Rachel asked.
Grace shushed us as she whispers to us. She's very shy. She told me she doesn't trust humans much, but I told her she can trust you two.
Looking behind us we didn't see anyone was there. Either Grace has an imaginary friend or there is something there, but we couldn't see it. It wouldn't be the first time that has happened to us. I just hope this Pokémon is friendlier than the last three we met.
I turn towards Rachel who nods her head knowing what I wanted to ask her. Something is there, but if it is shy then we should wait for it to come to us.
I nod in agreement and then smiled at Grace. "Okay. How do we get your friend to trust us?"
She said she'll come out when she is ready. So we wait. Grace looked behind again and laughed.
This time we didn't bother to look behind us. We figure whatever is there must be friendly. If it wasn't then Grace wouldn't go near it because of the training she had with Rachel. Still we agreed that we'll keep an eye out just in case.
We looked up and see Dragonite flying towards us. She landed nearby with Derek and Dawn getting off.
"Hey guys, back so soon?" Iris asked.
"She wasn't there," Derek replied. "The man we talked to who works for her said she'll be back soon. So we decided to come get you guys and hope she is there by the time we arrive."
Sounds good, but we getting closer? Rachel asked.
Dawn nods in response. "Yep, just another ten minutes. Oh I can't wait to meet her."
"Me too!" Iris shouted. "I heard she has a powerful Dragon-type Pokémon. I wonder if she'll let me go up against her."
"No fair. I want to go up against her," said Derek.
Rachel lets out a small sigh. I doubt she'll accept any fights from you two. Besides Derek, you'll get your chance to battle against her if you win the Sinnoh League.
I nod in agreement as I pick Grace up and placed her on my shoulder. "Let's get going to see what she wants and then we'll head to the Sinnoh League to see who will fight her there."
"Sounds good to me," said Derek as he puts Dragonite back in her Pokéball. "Ready to meet the champ then, Ryan?"
"Heck yeah and I bet your ready too?" I asked.
Derek laughed. "Yep, it will be an honor to meet the champion of Sinnoh, before I beat her, and become the new champion."
I laughed, "You'll have to go through me to get there my friend."
"Trust me, I will," said Derek as we ran to catch up to the women.
(Unknown pov)
I see my new friend running towards a large house. I don't know what is going on, but whatever it is looks like fun. I begin to follow my friend and her family hoping to find out why they are here and to continue playing with my new friend.
She told me I can trust her family and reveal myself to them, for now I'll remain hidden, and wait for the right time to reveal myself to them.
Lake Verity (Normal pov)
"Skuntank, use Flamethrower!" Jupiter ordered as her Pokémon fires at Torterra.
"Torterra, dodge and use Razor Leaf!" Annabeth ordered as her Pokémon dodged the attack and fires several small razor leaves at Skuntank.
"Skuntank, dodge and use Smokescreen," Jupiter ordered as the Pokémon unleashed a cloud of smoke that covered the area. "Now use Flamethrower!"
The attack hits Torterra knocking it out of the smoke and near Annabeth.
"Torterra, are you okay?" Annabeth asked as her Pokémon gets back on all four and looks ready to continue. "All right, use Leaf Storm!"
Torterra fires dozens of small razor into the smoke causing it to be lifted away. The leaves hit the Pokémon knocking it to the ground and towards its trainer.
"How did you do that?" Jupiter asked surprised by this.
Annabeth smiled, "I've been traveling for years and have trained my Pokémon to find ways to get around attacks like yours. You ready to give up now?"
Jupiter snarled in anger not wanting to let this old woman get the better of her, "Never."
Meanwhile, Johanna and her Glameow are holding their own against Mars and her Purugly. Glameow uses her speed to dodge Purugly's attack since her opponent's big body slows it down.
"Purugly use Bite!" Mars ordered as the Pokémon charges at its opponent to bite her.
"Glameow dodge then use Slash!" Glameow dodged the attack and used her claws to slash Purugly across the face.
Mars growled in frustration that this woman is getting the better of her. She looked over to see Jupiter was losing control as well. If this keeps up both women will lose and the container is still out of their reach. Mars smiled though as she always has a little backup play.
"Time to end this now. Purugly, use Hypnosis," the Pokémon unleashed their hypnotic attacks, but Johanna is prepared for this.
"All right, dodge the attack," but before the two Pokémon could dodge the attacks Mars pressed a button on a detonator.
The button caused several bombs that Mars placed on the trees that surround the lake to detonate. Mars planted the bombs just in case someone tries to stop them. The trees exploded as the large bang can be heard from both nearby towns. The confusion of the explosion threw the Pokémon off balance causing her to get hit by the hypnosis.
Johanna was shocked by this, but doesn't have time to figure out what was going on as Mars finished the fight, "Now take her out."
Purugly attacked the unconscious Pokémon, but before the attack could connect Johanna returned Glameow to her Pokéball, "You planted those bombs didn't you?"
Mars smirked, "So what? What are you going to do about it?"
Mars motioned for her Pokémon to go after Johanna, but Annabeth who saw this tosses out her Pokéball. "Go, Lopunny! Use Thunderpunch!"
Lopunny appeared and punches Purugly knocking it towards Mars. Jupiter regrouped with the red headed lieutenant with her Skuntank joining them.
"You okay?" Annabeth asked towards her friend, who nods in response. She then turns towards Mars who had a cocky smug on her face. "What you did with those bombs was a dirty trick. There could have been some Pokémon in those trees."
Mars scoffed. "Oh get over it, grandma. The only one to be blamed are you two for getting involved. If you hadn't then no one would get hurt today. Now, Purugly let us end this."
"You too, Skuntank," said Jupiter as the Pokémon prepare to attack.
As they charge in on Torterra and Lopunny. That is until they heard another woman's voice, "Gengar, use Thunderpunch!"
The ghost Pokémon Gengar appears and punched both Purugly and Skuntank hard sending them back towards their trainer.
"What the hell is going on? Who did that?!" Mars shouted.
Johanna smiled knowing who that Gengar belongs to, "You two are in trouble now."
A woman who appeared to be in her 30's with purple hair, sparkling purple dress, and purple shoe heels appeared near Gengar and spoke in a French accent.
"I don't know who you two women are, but when you try to hurt my old friends, and the Pokémon that live here. Then you two become my problem."
Mars growled in anger, "And who the hell are you?"
"The name is Fantina and you are finished." said the gym leader Fantina stands ready to fight the two Team Galactic lieutenants.
Some stuff different from the original story, but hopefully you all like what happened. What is the Pokémon that is following Ryan and the others? Think Rachel will find out that Dawn lost her kid? And what is going to happen next time now that Fantina has joined her friends?
Find out next time to see what happens and if you guys like what happened then leave some reviews please. If you didn't like this then don't leave a flame review. Also thanks again guys for the reviews and for the support. Take care guys and see you all next time.
