Lorain bit her lip, staring ahead of her as King Candy sped towards the Kart Bakery, multicolored smoke spouting out of the large smoke stacks. She glanced behind her as the police cars followed closely behind them. In other circumstances the situation could be a lot worse. Turbo could be the one that they were chasing. The idea made her skin crawl. But that wasn't the case now. It wasn't him that they were after. It was her best friend. Her sister. Vanellope…

They came to a halt outside of the doors and Wynnchel flipped the switch on the side of the door so it opened. King Candy hopped out of the kart and ran inside, pointing a finger accusingly, "Hold it right there, Glitch!"

The small girl spun around to face the door with Ralph beside her. Both stood in front of a brand new racing car that had Vanellope written all over it.

King Candy froze the moment he saw the wrecker, "Hoo hoo! And Wreck-It Ralph!?"

"Uh oh…" Ralph looked panicked for a second before he looked at the icing pack in his hand and aimed it at King Candy, squeezing it to make the bright pink icing explode in his face, knocking King Candy back onto the ground.

Lorain laughed, clapping her hands over her mouth to stop the giggles.

"Start the kart!" Ralph shouted, climbing onto the back of Vanellope's kart before placing her in the driver seat, "Start the kart!"

"I…" Vanellope hesitated.

"Come on! What are you waiting for?" Ralph questions, "Let's go!"

"I…um…I don't know…heh…how to drive a real kart…" Vanellope mumbled.

"You don't what?" Ralph gapes at her.

Lorain facepalms as she jumps from King Candy's kart, "Nice job Vanellope. Way to make a good impression." Then she hurried over to King Candy's side and helped him up, wiping the icing off of him.

"Are you hurt, sire?" Wynnchel asks.

"No, hehe, he just glazed me," King Candy chuckles.

"Not the time for puns," Lorain says blandly.

The king shook his head and then chuckled, "You're right! Get them!"

"Gangway!" Ralph yells, looking for some way to get out of there and then grinned, using his arms to push the kart along, smashing out of the window and away from the factory.

Lorain scuttled around immediately and jumped back into King Candy's kart as the others did the same and drove away instantly. As the group began to catch up to Ralph and Vanellope Lorain raised her fist and shook it, yelling, "Stop in the name of the king!"

"That's me!" King Candy chuckled as they shot over the bridge and entered the jujube jungle; one of the ways that lead to Vanellope's home in Diet Cola Mountain.

Vanellope's kart made a hard turn in front of them and the others tried to follow but they came to a halt in front of the base of the mountain.

Lorain took in a breath she hadn't realised she'd been keeping in and let her head fall back.

"Where'd they go?" King Candy asked in shock, looking around at nothing but jujubes for miles around, "They just turned and…" He got dead serious, "Find that glitch! Destroy that kart! She can't be allowed to race!"

Hours Later

Lorain had managed to keep the king busy for a few hours while Vanellope was practicing in her home in the secret bonus level in the mountain. She wasn't sure how much longer she could keep him preoccupied for.

Then there was a knock at the castle door and King Candy lit up as Duncan and Wynnchel walked in but the looks on their faces suggested they found everything but the girl.

"You found her? Please tell me you found her," King Candy said instantly, almost begging for good news.

Both policemen seemed reluctant but shook their heads to show that the little racer had not been found.

King Candy chuckled humorlessly, "Go. Leave me."

The policemen exchanged glances and then left the room.

As soon as the door closed, King Candy glitched back into his original Turbo Time state and let out an angry growl, stomping his foot.

Lorain looked at the fuming Turbo, his face red, teeth grinding. She could practically see the smoke coming from his ears.

"It's not the big of a deal," Lorain tries to calm him down, "They'll catch her and stop her from racing. If worse comes to worse and she does end up racing, we'll still be together. Game or no game."

"No you don't get it!" Turbo chucks his helmet at the ground and turns to her angrily, "If she crosses that finish line it's all over! This isn't my game, Lorain! If this game goes down then as soon as I step in game central station my disguise is history! Everyone will know who I am and I don't know what they'll do to me! For all I know, they could toss me into Street Fighter 2 during hours and let the kids beat me to a pulp! Or-or they could throw me into a lava pit at Bowser's castle! The other games will make sure that I will never be happy again. And if that means getting rid of you, then they'll do it."

Lorain was speechless. Would the characters from other games be that horrible? Surely they wouldn't kill a character outside of their own game just for revenge…right? Her chest tightened at the thought of being torn away from Turbo forever. What was so bad about him anyway? It wasn't like the characters from road blasters didn't get out. She was pretty sure that she'd seen the characters hanging out in Tapper's once before. Sure their game was gone but they were still alive. That was the main point.

They remained in silence for a moment, Turbo still huffing angrily. That was when Lorain got to look at him, like really look at him. Turbo's yellow teeth were grinding together, puffs of air comes from in between them. He stood his ground, hunched over slightly with his fists clenched at his sides. His yellow eyes seemed to glow in the low light of the castle, the pupils so large that they swallowed up his irises. The anger in them burned with a passion but behind them there was something deeper, something that shook Lorain deep to the core. Turbo was scared. She could see it now, the way his eyes shot from one side of the room to the other, the shallow breaths he made weren't angry, they were almost like gasps, like was trying to suppress tears.

"Turbo…are you alright?" Lorain asks, wanting to reach out and hold him but she knew that he would probably lash out at her so she stayed put.

"No! I-I'm not alright! Do you have any idea how long it took me to find another racing game to jump into, to find the secret code room, to reprogram this game? I've come too far to let all of that slip out of my fingers again," Turbo said and to Lorain's surprise he let out a sob and turned away from her. He dropped to the floor and pulled his knees to his chest, hands on the back of his head as if he was protecting himself from getting beat up. Then another quiet sob racked through him.

Lorain gasped, this wasn't like him. This wasn't like Turbo at all. He was usually confident and full of himself. But now he looked broken. Like a wind-up toy that had always been turned a little bit too far, and this time something inside it finally broke. Her gloved hands slowly reached out to him as she got on the floor too, sitting at his side. Her gentle arms wrapped around his middle as she hugged him and as soon as he felt her contact he stiffened up, sniffling.

"We can fix this, Turbo. You're going to be fine. I'll…I'll go talk to Vanellope and get her to drop out of the race…" She said and both of them seemed to be surprised at her words.

"I thought you two were best friends. You would do anything for each other…" He asked, not looking at her.

"We are best friends. We're sisters. It's true I would do anything for her but if she's doing something that could endanger not only her but you? No. That's where I draw the line," Lorain says, hugging him a bit tighter, "I can't stand seeing the people I love get hurt…"

"You don't mean that…" He says, letting out a sigh and letting his legs slid out, his arms hugging around himself, "No one can love me now. Not after everything I've done to this arcade."

Lorain felt her stomach flip flop as she stared at him, "Turbo…If I were lying then I wouldn't be here right now."

He looked over at her, a small frown on his face, "I think I just…need some space right now…"

Lorain nodded knowingly and stood up, "Alright. I'll um…I'll go see if I can find Vanellope and talk a bit of sense into her."

"Thanks…" Turbo muttered, looking up at her.

"And I suggest you change back into King Candy before someone comes in here," Lorain says, hands behind her back.

Turbo glitched, becoming King Candy and glitching to his feet in a burst of red pixels, "I'll see you later, Lori."

Lorain kissed his cheek, "I'll be back before the roster race. If not, come and find me."

King Candy gave a weak smile, "Hurry back."

The licorice racer gave a firm nod and dashed out of the castle, hopping into her kart and taking off towards Vanellope's hideout in Diet-Cola Mountain, completely unaware of King Candy stalking behind his throne and into the secret code room.

An evil grin spread across his face, "No more mistakes…"

"Sir?" Sour Bill questioned, rushing in after him.

"I think it's time to get Ralph what he really wants so he'll get out of my game for good," King Candy snapped, "Time to get that medal…"

(A/N: Wow that took a long time for a short chapter. I didn't even have to do anything really, just follow the plot line. Just...wow I suck...

Turbo: Yeah, you really do suck.

Lorain: I bet the readers hate you more than I hate my brother.

Turbo: I bet they hate you even more than the other game's characters hated me when I got TurboTime and RoadBlasters unplugged.

Me: Wow guys, you really know how to make me feel good about myself

Turbo: I really try. Also, what's with that S#!& about me crying in this last chapter? The amazing Turbo does not cry.

Me: Well guess what? You got upset and you cried. People do it. It's normal.

Turbo: But I don't.

Me: Yes you do. You really do. And you did. So just drop it.

Turbo: *mutters* I don't cry... *grumble grumble*
