Alright, first off, I appologize for the shortness of this chapter. It was one heck of a week and my sister, uncle and friend of the family is coming up for the weekend and there's a lot of stuff I had to do.

Also, Happy Birthday J.K Rowling and Harry Potter!

Last week's Question of the Chapter: What show can't you go very long without watching?

We had: Elementary, Emergency and Once Upon a Time. I've watched two out of the three of them. Emergency was always a good show to watch!

I don't own Harry Potter.

"Force, he's heading into 1742 Brickston street," came Captain Yin-Yang's voice from a listening device in the Ranger's ear. "I'll have the others watch the exits, go in and get him."

"Yes sir." said Force as he leaped down from the third floor balcony he was stationed on.

Since they, including Force, were all held hostage at least once on two of the missions, Captain Yin-Yang had shelled out the credits for short range communication devices and had enlisted the help of one of the lieutenants with newly inducted Rangers.

"Apparently, it seems that all of you have been completely oblivious to what you're supposed to be watching out for." said Captain Yin-Yang with a frown. "I can't let you all go about your work while I'm at school...representing us, and getting yourself taken hostage every single time you go out on a mission. Until you've proven that you are the Rangers I want you to be and the ones I thought you were, you're going to have rookie back up."

That had to be the most embarrassing thing he could have come up with. It was one thing being the back up for a group of rookies, but to have the rookies be their back up was gut wrenching. It implied that they, despite their ranks and abilities, they were now more of a hindrance than a help and the rookies were better peacekeepers than what they were.

And if that wasn't bad enough, he and all the other Rangers, would have to hear Captain Yin-Yang watch their every move and harp at them for every misstep that they did.

Force entered the dark building quietly, the entire building was closed (except now for a forced open door that his quarry had broken) and appeared deserted. He looked over to the receptionist desk and took notice of the logo, it was a logistics company...and that caused him some confusion. They should have some security in this place...

Then again, it could be the work of Lieutenant Glitch, you name it, he can hack into it and with him being in charge of the rookies that were with them tonight, it was simple that he would keep an electronic eye on everything going down.

They hated to ask Lieutenant Harpy's second in command for help, but thankfully Captain Yin-Yang kept the reason they had rookie back up a secret. Force would have died of shame if Glitch knew the real reason they were there.

Force scanned the halls and the open area of the front desk, the quarry couldn't have gone far, but if he were a normal peacekeeper, he would have been looking for a while, there is too many hideaways for the man to duck into and hide in the darkness. Though, if he was a normal peacekeeper, they would have opportunity to turn on the lights. Being a Ranger, he didn't quite have the permission by the owners to be in the building.

But with the sunglasses that he wore, seeing in the dark was a breeze. It transformed the darkness into what seemed like a light shade on a sunny day. He was a miser for the most part with his credits, but when it came to cool shades, he dolled out the big money, he must have had at least thirty different shades to wear day in and day out.

Regardless if he had sunglasses with the capability to see in the dark or not, he still had to capture the man that was hiding.

He stole his way further into the building, continuing on and searching every room until he came to where the servers for the entire company was stored. Rows upon rows of tall rectangular shapes with blinking lights stood fixedly in the room and gave off a steady thrum.

Suddenly, from one end of the room, a shot rang out and Force barely had enough time to duck out of the way of the whizzing bullet. Force ducked down and with his glasses, followed the path of the culprit easily through the servers. He crept close enough to the man, his foe couldn't see him, only having the blinking lights of the servers, but Force could.

Soon, he crept close enough to the armed figure and swung his mighty metal studded hand towards the quarry.

Unfortunately, the man ducked down and skated away before the blow fell. Force's hand, which was still sailing through the open air, crashed through the server before him and into the live wires inside.

"Aaaargh!"

What was once darkness, there was now a bright, blinding light crashing in front of his eyes and a barrage of painful jolts of electricity stabbing through him.

He didn't know how long he was out for certain, but he knew that it couldn't have been long, as the machine was still white hot, and smoking. Force's vision slowly began to come back and his mobility was coming back into his fingers and legs.

He got to his feet slowly and felt around for his glasses, they weren't on his head anymore, they must have been knocked flying, but when he felt broken glass...he knew his glasses did not survive.

"Son of a bitch! I'll kill that mother..." muttered Force as he picked the fragments up and placed them in his pocket. He then stood up and glared around trying to find where the man could have gone.

"So you're telling me, that you lost him because you stuck your arm in a bunch of live wires?" came Captain Yang's deadpanned voice.

"Yes sir." muttered Force.

"Well, we haven't heard from any of the rookies, so he didn't get past any of them, they'd be pummeling their panic buttons." said Captain Yang. "Now go and find him and you'd better not do anymore damage to him than necessary, it's not his fault that you don't know where to swing your arm."

"Sorry sir."

"Take your time and aim, the idiot can't get far." said Captain Yang.

Force no longer had the advantage with his shades, he now just as in the dark as his quarry was. He continued his search in every room and on every floor, even going through the room with all the computer servers. Nothing.

Then however, as he climbed up to the seventh floor, he heard a crashing sound coming from the eighth. He smirked slightly and silently stole up to the next floor.

Right beside the stairwell, a now broken vending machine stood with the glass that once secured the food within now strewn across the floor. Small candies were also littered across the floor and trailed down the hall.

He followed the trail down to one of the lounges, and he could hear the crinkling of wrappers and the sipping of a drink. He wanted to kick the door open and beat the snot out of the man behind the door, but he had to remember, the man behind the door was armed. He himself wasn't without a weapon, but if he managed to miss again, the Captain would have his head...they were supposed to be able to go into any establishment and leave without leaving so much as a trace...already the Clean-Up-Crew had to bring in a new server, replace the broken glass on the door and the broken vending machine, not to mention wipe the security tapes.

Clean-Up-Crew: When the Rangers are doing covert work, picking up criminals that had just pinged on their radars and they didn't want to alert the area to their presence or if they were doing undercover work and something had gone terribly wrong...the Clean-Up-Crew would come in and fix what was broken and replace what couldn't.

If a house was broken into by a fleeing suspect, anything within the house that was broken, damaged, soiled or even touched would be replaced, even the antiques. The loss of the entire house however was chalked up to arson and would be left alone. The Clean-Up-Crew would forward the money to pay for the possessions of the homeowners and the home itself, acting as the insurance company and they would coax the fire-marshal to conclude his findings swiftly. A drop in the bucket compared to their day to day expenses.

The Clean-Up-Crew was consisted of an assortment of pawnbrokers (which had affliations with several different pawn stores, antique store and live and online auction sites) designers, interior and exterior decorators, artists, forgers, historians (to locate any historical document needing of replacement) and photography experts. They were not the fighters that the majority of the Rangers were, they were trained in self-defense, but they did not wield weapons on a regular basis.

Force took out a small blowpipe and tranquilizer dart from a small pouch. He couldn't let this guy get away a second time, and if it kept the Captain from kicking his ass later, then he'd have to listen up.

"Take your time and aim."

Captain Yin-Yang watched as the man was carted up into a large van and taken to the mobile holding cells.

Mobile holding cells: When a Ranger is out in the field and has made a capture, the options are that they can personally escort the criminal to Headquarters to be sorted and filed away, or they can be put somewhere safe for the time being until the Rangers were ready to go back to Headquarters.

Mobile holding cells were either empty buildings, warehouses, a ship, boxcar on a train, or even on a plane. There are distinct marks on the buildings that signal that the establishment is under Ranger control and can be used as such. There are Rangers on guard at all time to maintain any prisoners that are brought to them and to keep intruders that have no business being there, out.

"I expected you back three hours ago, it shouldn't have taken you this long to catch one man, everyone else has come, dropped off their prisoners and gone home." said Captain Yin,

"Sorry sir, but he's alive, that's got to count for something." said Force with a slight smirk.

"It counts towards that we aren't going to beat your ass." came Yang's voice.

Force backed up slightly. He was hoping Yang was going to keep...well...towards the back when he returned.

"Don't get cocky." muttered Yang's voice. "I can hear everything you're thinking."

Force turned a slight pale.

"Yeah, that's right, you heard me." said Yang.

"Settle down, Yang." said Captain Yin. "I'll handle the prisoner, you can head on back and begin your paperwork."

"Thank you sir." said Force.

"Don't thank me yet, I had better see your...mistake...in the report and the sunglasses you lost off the expense report." said Captain Yin.

Force nodded and left to return back to Headquarters.

"They got really lazy while we were at school." said Yang shaking his head.

"Well, we weren't exactly all that active either." said Yin.

"We were trying not to blow our cover the entire time." said Yang.
