Before anyone says anything, Conners Lizard incident thing isn't the events of the film instead of the Lizard events in Ultimate Spider-Man

Chapter 29

"Hi Pepper it's me," Rosie spoke into her phone, "I know you're at work but I'm just phoning to say that something big has come up that Fury wants me to keep an eye on and help out. I'm not sure how long I'll be here for though… Call me back or something when you get this." Hanging up her phone she shoved it into her boot before pulling her lab coat on and running out the locker room. Rushing down the hall she reached the room America's Saviour was in. Stumbling into the room a smile crossed her face as she spotted a familiar man standing by the pod. Smiling she grabbed a tablet of a table before strutting up to him.

"It's good to see you again Doc," she smiled. Doctor Conners turned to face her before smiling widely at the sight of the girl.

"Ah Rosie," he smiled before hugging her, "How are you? And Pe-Spider-Man is he doing well?" Rosie smiled before nodding. Before his little 'incident' Conners had been a S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist and had spent a lot of time in the labs with Spidey helping him design new equipment.

"I'm doing ok thanks and so is Spidey. You have to keep beating yourself up over that Conners, your incident was Ock's fault he designed the serum that turned you into the Lizard," Rosie assured him. Conners looked away from her ashamed clearly not convinced. Ever since her and her team had managed to help him stay himself he's been constantly blaming himself for what had happened. Sighing, deciding she'd lost that battle, Rosie changed the subject to the matter at hand. Opening the system monitoring the woman's vitals she looked to the frozen women.

"So what've we got here?" she asked Conners who quickly set about explaining the situation.

Sunday 9th March 2014, 12:45 – S.H.I.E.L.D New York base, research wing

Rosie walked along to the main lab yawing, it had been a long 48 hours. Her nose was so far into the paper on America's Saviour to notice where she was going because of this she slammed right into someone heading for the same door. With a squeal she fell to the ground but quickly jumped up and dusted herself down.

"Sorry got some important business to- Steve!" she squeaked finally looing up to see who she'd bumped into. Steve looked down at her eyebrow raised making her panic (on the inside). He wasn't meant to be down here. God dam Barton. He was mean t to be keeping I'm in the bloody tower! Oh well time for plan B. Slyly she moved in front of the door to where America's Saviour lay still frozen and nameless.

"Why are you down here? You never come to visit us science geeks," she stalled him.

"I was told Dr Conners was down here, I have a message to give him," he looked at her. When he tried to move to the door she blocked it further.

"You can't go in there. Classified. Level 8 and above sorry," she smiled at him sweetly. Steve raised an eyebrow. What did they not want him seeing?

"You're level 7," he narrowed his eyes.

"I was an exception. They need more technology experience and they didn't trust Tony so here I am," Rosie shrugged lying as she went. That part about not letting Tony work was believable; it wasn't unknown for S.H.I.E.L.D. to trust the 14 year old more than her Father. Steve nodded at the idea forcing Rosie to hold back a smiled. Steve can't know about the women, they don't know if she'll live yet and they can't give him false hope it would break him. They can't even get the machine open for a start if she'll live outside of it is a bigger question. The pod the three Avengers found her in can freeze someone's organs to preserve them and by the looks of it not aging them at all. The room was destroyed with along with nearly all of the machines but by some god forsaken miracle she was in one of the ones that survived. After seeing what the technology could do destroyed the remaining machines then making S.H.I.E.L.D. promise to destroy America's Saviours pod. Technology like that shouldn't fall into anyone's hands including Tony's.

Steve went to argue when the door when the wall just in front of them was knocked down. The pair through their hands above their heads to protect themselves from flying bricks. Just as they looked up a woman ran out the hole and down the corridor. Rosie swore and jumped up before running after her screaming down her com that no one was to attack the women. Running as fast as she could she was barely able to catch up with the women, she was fast but thankfully Rosie had the advantage of the path the America's Saviour had cleared. Turning corner after corner Rosie came close to losing her but thankfully it changed when she reached the entrance hall. Padding into the room Rosie scanned the seen seeing terrified Agents pressed up against the walls apart from one who was being held hostage. The Saviour held an Agent against her chest with a dragged pressed to their throat. Seeing the dagger Rosie put her hands in the air slowly walking closer to her.

"Please ma'am let the Agent go… no one will hurt you here," Rosie said soothingly taking out her weapons and dropping the on the ground.

"Where am I you Hydra bastards? Where's the Captain and the team I came with?" the woman hissed. Rosie froze at the mention of Hydra for a second she couldn't help but think that she knew about the situation but quickly thought the better of it. She was frozen during a fight against Hydra she must think everyone in the hall is Hydra. Calmly she stepped closer before freezing in her tracks as the woman pressed the dagger tighter against the Agents throat.

"I'll explain later right now please let the Agent go," she begged. The Saviour let the Agent go but not before taking his gun and aiming it. Behind her Rosie heard Steve shout but before she could turn round to face him the shot was fired. Pain shot through Rosie's body as the shot skimmed her skin causing her to collapsed to the ground holding her side. Rosie watched from the ground as the Saviour sprinted away out of the building as Steve knelt down beside her.

"I'm fine go get her Steve!" she hissed clutching her side. He went to protest when there was footsteps behind them.

"Go Cap I've got her! Clint go with him!" Natasha shouted running towards Rosie as Clint ran to Steve. Steve nodded before turning and running out the door with Clint hot on his heels. Rosie waited until they were out the building before swearing in pain. Natasha just rolled her eyes before helping Rosie up, putting an arm around her waist and heading towards the med bay.

"You're an idiot you know that," Natasha smirked.

"Shut up." Rosie grumbled. Natasha chuckled before proceeding to drag Rosie towards the med bay.

Five minutes later Rosie was sitting on a med table as a S.H.I.E.L.D. doctor wrapped up the wound. Thankfully it was only a flesh wound so it was nothing to serious. The whole time she was in there Natasha stood in the room smirking at her apprentice who glared back at her. The doctor had just left the room when she heard Clint's voice in her ear.

"Stark you there?" he asked.

"Yep I'm here is this a separate line or something?" Rosie asked pulling the top part of her catsuit back on.

"You bet it. We've caught up with her in Times Square, Cap's calmed her down did you know they were a thing?" he asked.

"I don't care if they're a think or not! They can reconnect once we have her back and we're sure she won't die! We need to check her vitals! They might be failing! GET HER BACK!" Rosie cried. Clint laughed before telling her he'd get her back before killing the line. Growling Rosie jumped off the table before grabbing her lab coat and headed towards the door. Before she could get out the room Natasha blocked her way with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm going to the entrance hall to meet Clint, Steve and the Saviour when they come in, come if you want but I need to get her straight to the research wing. Conners is going to freak out! No scrap Conners, Coulson is gonna freak out even more!" Rosie laughed. As quick as she could she ducked under Natasha's arm before sprinting towards the entrance hall pulling her lab coat around her.
