Hiya everyone. I am so sorry for the delay in updating. I did finish a new chapter ages ago but I kept tweaking it and new ideas kept coming. I hope you are satisfied with the end result and please vote for the proposal type that will be in the next chapter.
I own my imagination only
"Hold him down boys. We don't want him trying anything."
Kurt had been laying down but had sat up on the bed when he had heard the door to his room open. He dreaded these visits when either the man who the others referred to as 'the Doctor' or the man in the black suit came to take blood samples after injecting him with something. They never answered his questions but 'the doctor' creeped him out with his looks and touches.
The man in the lab coat, 'the Doctor', looked on as the struggling blue eyed teen was held down by three of the six men contracted especially to guard the boy before taking out and filling the syringe from the small vial he had in his pocket. He only had a couple of hours to get this done.
"Don't worry Kurt this won't hurt a bit. In fact it'll feel real good."
Kurt woke with a start. This couldn't happen. Not now when he was back with his family and Blaine. He just wanted to forget those two days and the things that happened. Kurt sat up in the bed and looked over at his sleeping boyfriend. What would Blaine do, say if he found out? There was no way he was telling his father either. It would just cause Blaine and his family pain and they would worry even more.
Finn had wanted to take an extra week off from football but had left three days ago after being convinced that Blaine would most definitely look after Kurt and his dad had wanted Kurt to come back with him to Arizona but they had finally come up with an acceptable compromise. Kurt would stay in New York but Blaine was to move into the apartment with him only until he had to leave for his three year degree program. Blaine didn't have to worry about his own apartment as it had been a joint investment purchase between his and Wes's grandparents when the boys were young. After they had died the apartment had been passed onto Blaine and Wes according to the wills. Wes's father had had no say in the matter, luckily.
Also Burt would stay only an extra week before going back home. Carol had called every day like clockwork and it wasn't that he didn't appreciate their care and understand their concern, it was just that he was beginning to feel smothered. Even Blaine watched him like a hawk although he tried to be subtle about it. He knew Blaine suspected something but had not said a word. Wes, Maria, Vikki and Sam had come over a few times 'to just hang out'. Kurt knew they were checking up on both him and Blaine. Sam had told him what happened the night he was taken and Blaine had filled in the blanks. It really was amazing how strong their connection was as 'Blessed One' and 'Chosen One' and it only seemed to be growing stronger.
Kurt sighed as he got out of bed and went into the adjoining bathroom. He needed to clear his mind a little.
Blaine watched as Kurt disappeared in to the bathroom. There was definitely something bothering Kurt, something he, suspected, had to do with his kidnapping. He still had that moment of panic seconds after waking up that maybe Kurt coming back was only a dream and he was now always super aware of where Kurt was in a room. Blaine hadn't said a word, hadn't asked because he didn't want to upset Kurt or bring back bad memories. He had had a moment of panic flowed by intense fear accompanied by the blurred image of a man's face then a weird drowsiness an hour before Burt had received that waited for phone call but he had left that part out deliberately so he guessed there were things they both weren't telling each other.
There had also been the argument. They all thought that Kurt should stay in New York and try for the fashion program the following year, Kurt was adamant that he should go and had finally won when he had told them that it would help him to be out of New York, out of America for awhile. None of them had been happy but had agreed that this could be what Kurt needed. Blaine had not even touched Kurt intimately for fear that he would trigger a flash back or something. Last night was the first time they had made love and he had been as nervous as he had been the first time they had sex.
A week had gone by already and Burt would be gone by the weekend. Blaine hoped Kurt would be more open with him then. He knew Kurt worried for Burt's health constantly. As for his parents, they had been calling constantly since he had convinced his mom to leave because her little boy was fine four days ago. Blaine closed his eyes when the bathroom door opened and pretended to be asleep. They would have to talk about things but not tonight.
"Do you want me to pick you up from the airport? I have the day off anyway."
"That would be great. I miss you so much but…"
"But you want to stay and make sure Kurt is really ok before coming home. I know how you feel honey. I wish I was there with him too."
"I know sweetheart and so does Kurt. Anyway I see you soon. Love you."
"Ok. Love you too."
Burt sighed after he hung up. He knew he would never be ok with Kurt so far away, especially after this but he knew Carole was right, he had to let Kurt go to grow up. He only wished he could shield him from all the hurt and bad things in the world. He just hoped for Kurt and Blaine's sake that they both would be ok.
"Kurt is there something wrong? I noticed you haven't been sleeping well and I know something is bothering you."
Blaine and Kurt had just finished dinner after coming back to Kurt's apartment from seeing Burt off at the airport. Blaine had decided to straight out ask Kurt what was wrong. It was now or never.
Kurt looked over at Blaine. He had seen Blaine looking at him with worried eyes and knew he had questions he wasn't asking. Now here it was. He had a decision to make and although he knew it would most likely hurt the man he loved he knew he had to tell him.
"There is something but first can you just hold me please? I would feel a lot better in your arms."
They moved to the sofa and Blaine wrapped his arms around Kurt, holding him close, breathing in his scent, trying to reassure the teen without words. Kurt closed his eyes as he tried to gather his thoughts.
"Will you do one more thing for me?"
"Anything mon Ange."
"Will you tell me what is bothering you first? Please?"
Blaine squeezed his eyes shut before opening them again. He had wanted to leave that part til last but he supposed now was as good a time as ever.
"Do you remember what I told you about what happened that day, how I felt, what I felt?"
Blaine continued after he felt Kurt's nod against his chest,
"Well the reason I know something is up with you is because I saw something."
Kurt leaned a little out of Blaine's embrace to look at the teen. Blaine had seen something? What had Blaine seen? How was it possible he had seen anything? Blaine continued without looking at Kurt.
"Sam and I told you about everything else about the night you were… taken and after. An hour before your father got the call that said you had been found I told you that I experienced an intense wave of fear but there was something else. There was the fear and…" Blaine's voice trailed off.
"And?"
"And I saw a man's face briefly, but it was blurred. The only features I can remember was he had either dark brown or black hair and a broad chin. After that I felt weirdly drowsy then nothing."
Blaine finally looked at Kurt, eyes vulnerable and worried at the tears he saw running down Kurt's pale cheeks.. He asked the question he had kept hidden, afraid of what he might hear.
"Did that man hurt you Kurt? Was he the one that kidnapped you? Please just tell me what you're holding back."
"Blaine…" Kurt choked on the name before he launched himself at Blaine, hugging him tight, tears freely flowing now. After a pause Kurt began.
"I – I …I was so amazed when you told me how you felt everything that happened to me. There is still much we don't know about our unique connection but I never thought you would see what I see."
Kurt eased up on his hold on his boyfriend and took a deep breath before proceeding with his story.
"I was kept unconscious for much of the night and first day. I only have vague recollections. They took loads of tests and blood samples. There were two men. They both had black hair but one of them was…he was, he scared me, really scared me and was the man I think you saw. The first man was the one who took me, he had a long face but the other man, 'The Doctor' they called him, he had an accent, a more angled face and a broad chin."
"Kurt? You said he scared you?"
"He, the both of them knew about me, about how I could get pregnant. I don't know how but they knew. 'The Doctor' was always looking at me in a way that wasn't…I don't know. It was creepy and felt wrong and disgusting. The way he would touch me too –"
"Wait he touched you?! Did he…did he…"
"He never did anything, maybe because the other man was always there, watching over everything but his touch…it just made my skin crawl. It wasn't until the last day I was there that something happened. I had heard them talking about moving me but they never mentioned a place but I got the feeling it was somewhere outside America. I kept praying, hoping that somehow I would be found before they got a chance to move me."
Blaine wasn't sure he wanted Kurt to continue. He had told himself that he would be calm, be the rock that Kurt needed but at the mention of what had happened and what else may have happened, he was slowly losing it. When would they be able to just live in peace without something happening? Kurt was only seventeen for pity's sake.
"…thinking about you and I just wanted to get home. It was getting dark when four men entered my room, one of them being 'The Doctor'. I knew immediately this time was different because the other man wasn't there. He told the guards to hold me down and that's when I really got scared. I believe that is what you felt. After I was restrained, he injected me with something. I thought this was it, they were drugging me before they moved me to God knows where but….but that wasn't why he drugged me.
"Don't worry Kurt this won't hurt a bit. In fact it'll feel real good."
'The Doctor' moved to secure Kurt's hands to the bed by the hooks that were imbedded there and gagging him before injecting him with the solution in the syringe and dismissing the three guards.
"Now it's just you and me."
The man began to stroke the side of Kurt's face with his hand, then down his neck before running it across his chest and back up to to touch Kurt's lips.
"It occurred to me that this opportunity would not present itself again and that I could kill two birds with one stone: advance my research and enjoy myself at the same time."
He slowly started to unbutton Kurt's shirt as he continued to talk. Kurt could feel the effects of whatever he had been given. He felft drowsy by it was different to the other knock out drugs.
"You have a fascinating body and the outside isn't so bad itself. In fact its really nice and just my type. It also occurred to me that to force you wouldn't really bring either of us any satisfaction so I came up with a solution."
By this time 'The Doctor' had taken off his lab coat and was unbuttoning his own shirt.
"What I just gave you was a fairly mild sedative mixed with a stimulant that is untraceable after one hour but the effects last for up to two. Now what this will do is stop you…resisting and keep you pliant and the stimulant well, I'll just have to show you wouldn't I?"
With a smirk he leaned down and kissed Kurt full on the lips. There wasn't anything Kurt could do to fight back, defend himself. His body wasn't responding to his commands. There was nothing he could do to prevent what was about to happen. With a sinking feeling he closed his eyes as silent tears escaped and the man beside him began to fondle his body.
"Oh baby you don't have to continue. I'm sorry. Forget it, forget everything. I don't need to know anymore."
Kurt straddled Blaine's lap and wiped the tears that were falling from eyes filled with regret, anger and empathy.
"Blaine sweetheart. Let me finish. Let me tell you what happened ok?"
Blaine nodded, albeit reluctantly. Kurt closed his eyes briefly.
"Just when I thought I was going to be raped, just when 'The Doctor' went to unb-b-button my jeans, there was a commotion outside the door that stopped him. He swore and went to investigate and that was when the door was broken down and a fully armed SWAT team burst through it. They apprehended him and that was all I remember up until the time I woke up in the hospital. I had never felt such relief as I felt when I saw that SWAT team."
Blaine had not taken his eyes off his incredibly beautiful and amazing boyfriend. He was both relieved and thankful that this 'Doctor' had failed to gain what he wanted, that they had found Kurt and found him in time.
"I love you. I love you so much Kurt Evan James Hummel and I thank God that you are here with me in my arms and that you are alright. I'm never letting you go."
Kurt smiled through his own tears. He loved this man so much and he was even more grateful that he had finally met someone to share his life with.
So it was official. Kurt was leaving in three days. Three days until Blaine would have to say goodbye to the love of his life for the next three years. Blaine looked away from the show playing on the TV and over to the sleeping teen at the other end of the sofa. Kurt looked so peaceful you wouldn't believe that he had been through such a harrowing ordeal nearly four weeks ago. Blaine was still not over it and now he was saying goodbye soon. Damn it all! He wasn't ready, not for this. He wasn't sure if he was strong enough yet. He had told Kurt that he would never stand in the way of his dreams and he meant it but... with everything that had happened over the summer it seemed a miracle that they were both still sane.
Kurt shifted in his sleep and burrowed more snugly into the cushions. Blaine sighed. The three months of summer that they had spent together didn't feel like enough, he wanted more time before they had to be apart. The longest they had been apart since they had begun dating was the nine days at the very beginning when he had been in Washington with his parents.
Even when Kurt had been taken they had found him within two days, thank God. Just thinking about it brought back all the feelings that Blaine had experienced in those two days and the after effects that had followed. Kurt wasn't having nightmares as frequently as before anymore. Burt had stayed for a week after until Kurt had finally convinced him that he would be ok and would call the minute he wasn't. Blaine stood up, suddenly needing to be so much more closer to Kurt, and scooped up the sleeping teen into his arms before sitting down again, but waking his beautiful boyfriend in the process.
"Mmm...Blaine? Is som-"
"Nothing's wrong mon ange. Just wanted to hold you."
Kurt leaned up a little to look into Blaine's eyes, freeing his hands from the blanket to capture his face when Blaine wouldn't look at him.
"Something's up. What is it?"
"I just really needed to hold you is all."
Kurt looked deep into Blaine's eyes seeing more than the nineteen year old was saying and gave a small smile before giving him a gentle kiss on the lips. The kiss deepened quickly and soon both boys had to separate for some much needed air.
"Better?"
Blaine grinned, not taking his eyes off Kurt's lips then leaned in to resume the kiss. No one knew how grateful Blaine was to have Kurt in his life after nearly losing him. It had only been three months since they had met but he could not imagine his life without the blue eyed teen. The kiss got heated pretty quickly and they moved to the bedroom.
The airport seemed unexpectedly busy but Blaine and Kurt were too wrapped up in each other to notice. Kurt nuzzled his cheek against Blaine's chest, listening to his boyfriend's heartbeat and letting his tears soak his shirt.
Blaine tightened his arms around the younger teen as he buried his face in Kurt's hair. Kurt's hair always seemed to smell of roses even though Kurt claimed his shampoo was unscented which was true, Blaine had checked. Vikki and Maria were standing off to the side saying their goodbyes to each other and silently watching the two boy's say goodbye to each other, which was a bit heartbreaking.
Maria had been lucky to get recommended for the same programme after someone had had to drop out so Kurt wouldn't be completely on his own. They had already made plans for each city they would be staying in.
'I love you mon ange. I'm gonna miss you like crazy you know that right?'
Kurt nodded his head without moving it from against Blaine's chest.
'l love you too and I miss you already.'
'We have our skype schedule. Christmas is just around the corner and before you know it we'll be together again, permanently. You will be careful won't you please?"
"I will, I promise."
And with one last kiss and a hug, Kurt was gone.
Kurt's gone for three years: how will Blaine cope? Well you will find out soon. Plus there will be a little bit of Finn and Rachel's romance coming soon. Watch this space.
