Caroline was hungry and disorientated. But mostly hungry.

After being captured, held hostage and denied of blood, all she could think about was finding a vein. Any vein. The closest vein.

Snap.

Caroline's head turned to look in the direction the noise came from, a form of a man came into view. Without second thoughts she ran forward and plunged her fangs into his neck, letting out a small moan at the rush of blood that filled her mouth.

But the pleasure was short lived as she was flung across the forest, hitting a tree, causing her to fall on the floor of the forest.

"Shit." Caroline hissed, before running off into the direction of the town. She finally arrived at the hotel she was staying at before she got kidnapped. She entered her roof and let out a sigh of relief.

"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" Caroline berated herself, smacking her palm against her forehead each time.

"Always check if they're human first, Caroline!" She growled, stripping herself of her old, dirty clothes and jumping into the shower, letting the water rinse away all her troubles.

Elijah stood outside the hotel where the girl who had just drank from him ran into. He made a move to enter the hotel but got interrupted when his phone rang.

"Brother, to what do I owe this call?" Elijah asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Kol." That was all Klaus needed to say for Elijah to understand he was needed more elsewhere than pursuing the blonde.

Elijah was confused and in a daze. The witch had said something about this. A side-effect. Getting back Kol from the dead for something in return. He was convinced it was his sanity.

His throat felt like sandpaper. He had felt like this once before, when he first transitioned and slaughtered 3 villages. He stumbled, he realised now what it was in return. Kol was a vampire who didn't drink blood but lived off food, and well, Kol's bloodlust must've gone somewhere.

"You have GOT to be kidding me!" A shrill voice yelled. He didn't think, driven by his craving he ran forward. Clutching the blondes petite body in his arms, as he ripped into her artery.

"What the hell!" The girl snapped, pushing him off of her. His eyes shot up to look at her and both their eyes collectively widened.

"You!" Elijah growled.

"You!" Caroline yelled, pushing him in the chest with her finger.

"You fed off me!" Elijah yelled, stepping closer to her.

"And you just fed off me! And totally ruined my dress. Dick." Caroline snarled before turning and flashing off. Elijah, shocked, stood there, non-moving. When he finally moved and attempted to follow her a hand landed on his shoulder, he turned to see a grateful Kol smiling at him. He realised he didn't need to worry about the blonde at the moment, because he finally had his brother back and it was time to make up for lost time.

Caroline twitched. Her eye twitched. Her head twitched. Her fingers twitched. She had been twitching for days now. Ever since that vampire bit her. She moved through the crowd and towards a bar. She had gone back to New Orleans, set to find this vampire and find out what sorcery he had performed on her.

Elijah shifted. He couldn't seem to sit still for the past few days. He felt the need to move. Move where? You ask. He's not too sure, so he is trying to ignore it. But all of a sudden everything came to a stand still. His head shot towards the door, and lo and behold, there was the blonde vampire from last week.

"You!" He heard her shrill voice exclaim, pushing people out of her way as she stormed over to him.

"You," he said calmly in response, watching as she physically lifted someone out of her way.

"What have you done to me?" She demanded, putting her hands on her hips.

"I believe it is I who should be asking that question." He hummed in response, already feeling somewhat at ease now that she was closer to him.

"I'm twitching." She gestured to herself, he watched her closely but nothing happened.

"I don't see anything of the sort." He said, watching as her eyes widened in shock and she slumped in the seat opposite him.

"I was." She exclaimed before huffing and settling her glare on him, "ever since you drank from me, weird shit's been happening. Fix it."

"I believe it was you who drank from me first, so I feel like I am not at all at fault here." He let out a chuckle when he saw her roll her eyes at him, before seeing them comically widen.

"Oh god!" she moaned, dropping her head on the table with a resound thud!

"Not exactly how I thought I would get you to moan." Elijah said cheekily to lighten the mood.

"We blood shared you idiot!" Caroline exclaimed, looking at Elijah accusingly.

"Oh." Elijah said, his eyebrows furrowing.

"Looks like we're stuck with each other." Caroline said, pursing her lips in contemplation before nodding and sticking her hand out between them.

"I'm Caroline." She introduced, smiling slightly.

"Elijah." He replied, lifting her hand a placing a kiss on the back of it. This was going to be interesting…
