Five different voice from behind him yelled, "STUPEFY!" and aimed at the Death Eaters, who vanished instantly as soon as the blast was about to touch them. The group of five then started to run down away from the Death Eaters, only to have to split up when Lucius landed in front of them with his hand out.
Jack picked up his feet and started to fly, quite close to the ground, only for him to be struck in the face and landed on his back in front of a Death Eater. "Petrificus Totalus!" Jack shouted, then aiming his staff at the Death Eater. It froze him in a position and Jack felt like patting himself on the back at the sight of the stunned Death Eater. Just for the extra Jack Frost touch, he cast a layer of frost over the Death Eater before flying away to find his friends.
As he landed, he looked around frantically for any sign of his friends, only to then be stunned as a madly tap dancing Death Eater, raced past him. Looking in the direction of where he had come from, he saw Star racing after him.
"Yeah, I really love that spell," Star said as she caught her breath.
"Nice," Jack commented as he rubbed his bleeding nose.
The two of them then started to run again, icing and blasting at Death Eaters, until they thankfully ran into Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville, almost banging their heads together. "That was fun!" Jack said as he caught his breath.
"Ummm guys?" Neville said, pointing his wand at something down the path he had just come from. Everyone turned to see the black figures of Death Eaters coming their way.
"Well I've waited this long to use them myself!" Star said, pulling out a cupcake and throwing it far along with the help of her wand. It collided with the Death Eaters and a bright flash of light appeared and a loud noise.
Jack squinted his eyes as he felt a gust of wind rumble up against him. He was just about to say something until he saw orbs fall off their shelves and even the shelves started to sway. Ron's face looked so scared, it almost made Jack laugh if it wasn't such a serious moment.
"I think we'd better moveā¦" Jack said as he started to rise off the floor.
"Hurry, let's get back to the door!" Harry said as he started to retreat back and broke into a run, with an orb almost hitting him on the head as if fell from the shelf. As they all started to run, minus Jack, who flew, the orbs started to fall a lot faster and the shelves started to topple into each other like dominos.
"Come on hurry!" Jack yelled as he deflected some of the orbs.
"You try running!" Star yelled as she almost slipped on the liquid that had come out of the smashed orb. It looked like the stuff you would find inside a glow stick.
"Make a left!" Hermione shouted, as they made a sharp turn and the door came into view. Jack then found himself unable to fly as the shelves were so close now, he didn't have any room to fly and was surprised how fast he was.
"Almost there!" Neville called.
The door was now coming even closer and Harry banged the door open only for there to be no floor and as each person ran through, they found themselves falling as the door shut behind them. The breeze rushed through their hair and across their cheeks as they fell and Jack found that he couldn't call on the wind to aid him.
As the floor was about to meet their bodies, they stopped with a jolt a few centimetres above the rocky floor. Each one of them let out gasps as stopped, only for them to exhale loudly as they dropped to the floor.
"Oh that hurt," Ron moaned as he had landed on a hard pointy rock.
"I haven't been on a trip like that since the time my parents decided to rent a jet ski," Star grumbled as Harry helped her up and Jack pulled Neville to his feet. Harry looked at the orb in his hand to find that it was unharmed much to his relief.
"What's a jet ski?" Ron asked as he got up.
"You don't want to know," Star said, dusting off her tutu.
"Forget the jet ski. Where are we?" Jack asked, stretching his legs before looking around.
They all looked around to see that they were in a circular but large room with black tiles on the wall but a rock floor that formed up into a mini hill. "They don't call it the Department of Mysteries for nothing," Ron said, wiping the blood off a cut on his head.
What caught Jack's attention was the stone archway on top of the rocky hill. What was most peculiar was that a sort of mist seemed to be in it, like a trick mirror at a fairground. Weird, he thought. It then came to his attention that it seemed to emit whispers. Harry noticed this too.
"What are those voices?" he asked, walking up to it. "Can you tell what they're saying?" he added. Jack was about to answer but once again, Hermione interrupted.
"There aren't any voices Harry. It's just an empty archway. Let's get out of here," she said, looking behind her cautiously.
"I can hear them too," Jack interjected as he came closer to it.
Harry then seemed to sense something as he turned around with his wand pointed high and clutched the orb tightly. "Get behind me!" he said. Everyone quickly came behind him and rose up their wands and one staff to the sky.
No one saw what was coming next.
Swirls of black mist came around them, blinding them from each other's view and Jack felt sand brush up against him. He tried his best to cast his ice but his staff was thrown from his grasp by something. Only when it finally cleared, was he able to see again and what he saw made himself freeze.
Harry was picking himself up from the floor and he looked just as horrified. Four Death Eaters were standing around the room, with each of their friends in a headlock and their wand tips pointed at their heads.
Jack then turned his eyes to his staff, which was lying a little below the hill and with a frantic dive, he landed on his stomach a little away from it and was about to grab until he cried out in pain for a foot had slammed down on his open hand.
Dun dun Dunn! Who is the hand stomper? It could be anyone...hehe... Well that's all for now and if you want some cupcakes, you know what to do. Bye for now!
