A/n: Im gonna warn you guys that this chapter is just a little boring in the beginning, but I'm trying to get through everything to move on to the action packed fun stuff; forgive me.
Also, after this chapter I'm probably gonna go back to my regular writing style of one POV per story...unless you guys review and say otherwise, sorry this took so long. I've been sucked back into the world of warcraft! ah!

Disclaimer: I do not own twilight or Edward's sexy sparkles, just this awesome plot.

Ch.27: Family Matters

Carlisle's POV

I was reading my favorite medical text book when I heard a light knock at the door.

I could tell from the breathing and scent that it was Jasper and I was disappointed that I would get interrupted before finishing the wonderful text, again.

"Come in Jasper" I said.

He came in and shut the door soundly behind him and he seemed wild and worried.

"We need to discuss something as a family," he spat out quickly, "Alice had a vision and something strange happened to her."

I looked at him questioningly and sat down my worn book.

"What has happened Jasper?" I asked concerned.

"She claims that Jareth saw her," He said confused, "she was hovering above the ground a little bit and when she snapped out of it she was terrified."

I knew there was more about Jareth than we could truly begin to understand and my eyes grew wide at this news. I stood up quickly and contemplated about what to do.

"I'll get everyone and then go speak to Alice," I said; walking out of the office, "I need you to make sure everyone remains calm."

I walked into Rose and Emmett's room first and found them doing something innocent for once. Rose was lying on their practically destroyed sixty seventh bed reading a magazine, and Emmett was playing on his Xbox 360.

"I need you all to go downstairs," I said quietly. "We need to discuss something as a family."

Rose looked up at me with a mean expression and Emmett groaned like a child.

"Carlisle, why does it have to be now?" He groaned.

"Something has happened, something to do with Jareth and Victoria," I said cautiously; I knew Rosalie wouldn't handle this very well.

She flew off of the bed and was at my side immediately – her arms crossed over her chest, and Emmett was behind her just as fast.

"I knew this human was nothing but trouble," Rosalie hissed angrily, "Edward can't find himself a vampire, nope, he has to go after the fresh, ugly, live ones."

"Rose, lighten up," Emmett said gripping her shoulders; she quickly snapped from his grip.

"Do not tell me to lighten up Emmett Cullen," She growled. "I tell YOU when to lighten up."

She did her usual hair flip and ran downstairs with Emmett trudging behind her. I shook my head at how my family was becoming and jumped out a window at the end of the hall to find Esme in the garden.

"Mi amore it's night time," I whispered in her ear; gently squeezing her shoulders. "We need you in the house."

Esme laughed her gentle laugh that always made my heart feel like it could beat again and she turned around to face me.

"I love being in the garden, even at night time Carlisle," She said; kissing my lips tenderly. "Why am I needed in the house?"

I looked at her and sighed.

"Something has happened with Alice and we need to discuss it," I said sadly, "Involving Jareth and Victoria."

Esme gasped and placed her hands over her beautiful lips, her eyes suddenly sad.

"Is Ali okay?" She asked concerned; she was nothing but a loving mother.

"I'm hoping so, please go inside and make sure the children are behaving," I said; kissing her on the lips.

She nodded quietly and ran towards the back door – dropping her dirty gloves on the patio before going in, and then disappeared into the house; my wonderful Esme. I placed my face in my hands but quickly released it when I heard a car speeding up the driveway, Edward's Volvo. I sprinted to the garage where Edward had just pulled into and found Alice sitting on the back of her Porsche and Edward whispering to her.

"Come inside please," I said softly, "we have much to discuss."

"Carlisle, I'm really scared," Alice whispered. "This is getting worse and worse for me."

I walked up to her and hugged her gently – like any normal father would do for his child because that's what Alice was to me, she was my daughter.

"I have something I need to say as well," Edward said quickly, "Aiyanna has been having dreams about Victoria."

Edward's POV

I watched as my favorite sister and my fatherly figure became unreadable.

"I don't understand," Alice blurted out, "She's never seen Victoria."

"That's my point," I replied.

Carlisle released Alice from his grip and seemed to fall deep into concentration.

"You think she might be experiencing some sort of prophetic dream sequence?" Carlisle asked intrigued.

I nodded silently as images of Alice's frightening experience played in my mind. She could see Jareth's eyes clearly and they just kept burning into her mind, but the thing that terrified her was him trying to rip her head off or choking her.

"Wake up little pixie, I'll be watching you!" Jareth laughs menacingly.

She kept replaying that part in her mind so much it began to make me furious.

"Alice, I will kill him!" I shouted. "Please, stop torturing yourself and me for that matter with that horrible scene, okay?"

"I think we should carry this conversation into the house, the others are waiting," Carlisle said, "Especially a very unhappy Rosalie."

I rolled my eyes at the thought of Rose being unhappy because that was a usual occurrence with her. We walked into the brightly lit house and found everyone sitting in the living room as still as can be, staring at us. Jasper was controlling everyone with a sea of calmness that made me very thankful because Rosalie's thoughts were like venom.

I'm going to kill that human for getting us into this! She growled in her head furiously.

I hissed at her before taking a seat and she smiled at me evilly.

"So as you all probably know by now Alice was attacked through a vision," Carlisle began, "and I have just been made aware to the fact that Aiyanna has been seeing Victoria in her dreams by Edward."

I listened in to everyone's thoughts around me.

My poor Alice, she looks so ravaged. Jasper thought solemnly.

Oh woo the stupid human has another trick up her sleeve. Rosalie thought spitefully.

Wow, Rose looks hot, I wonder if she wants to… I tuned Emmett out quickly.

Poor Aiyanna, this is just horrible for a young human to have to go through, and look at little Ali, I want to hug her. Esme sighed in her head.

So far the conversation wasn't going along terribly.

"I think I need to call an old friend and ask his opinion on some of these happenings," Carlisle said quietly, "Eleazar would be able to help us figure out everyone's abilities and what might be wrong with Alice's."

Everyone seemed shocked at the idea of having a member of the Denali clan being brought in on this situation.

"Carlisle, maybe it is not best to bring in someone else about Jareth," Jasper said quickly, "Aro might kill to keep him a secret."

Carlisle nodded in agreement and everyone sighed in relief.

"I would like to examine Aiyanna though," Carlisle replied; resting his chin in his hand.

"You would have to do it at the high school," I retorted solemnly, "I kind of broke the treaty with the dogs in two different ways today."

"Are you trying to get us killed?!" Rosalie shrieked; standing up and practically slamming her foot through the floorboards. "First this half breed is coming for your precious human, now you're trying to feed us to the dogs?!"

"Rose, please sit back down and calm yourself," Esme asked sweetly, "I'm sure Edward had a good reason."

Everyone turned and looked at me – Rosalie suddenly sitting down and being calm, and I sighed loudly.

"Alice saw something bad happening to Aiyanna, so I went to her house where Jacob was losing his temper because he could smell us," I rambled off quickly, "I was confronted by Bella which was bad, but not terrible, and Aiyanna got hurt in the woods to the point where her blood was everywhere, so I hunted on their land, two rules…broken."

"I see," Esme breathed. "I'm guessing we will not be getting their help then?"

"Oh, Jacob and Kevin will help us, but it's the rest of the pack to be concerned about." I said quietly, "Jacob doesn't fully trust us of course, but he is willing to work with us on bringing Victoria and Jareth down."

"Well at least there's some good news," Emmett boomed.

"We have school in four hours and I don't have an outfit picked out, so if you don't mind?" Rosalie said; jumping up quickly and running upstairs.

Emmett was quick at her heels and Alice stood up abruptly.

"I need to go pick something out as well, Jasper?" She said numbly.

Jasper walked to her side and they ran upstairs together clasping on to each others hands lovingly.

"That didn't go completely as planned, but I'm going to go back to my study," Carlisle said; clapping his hands together and looking at Esme. "Would you like to come?"

His true intentions could be seen in his thoughts but those were things I did not want to know about my parental figures.

"Of course darling," Esme whispered.

They took off upstairs leaving me all alone on the couch and I buried my head in my hands, I couldn't wait to have Aiyanna in my arms again in four hours.

Kevin's POV

I ran through the trees quickly circling the reservation for the twentieth time tonight.

When is Jacob going to send someone to relieve us? I groaned in my head.

I had been out here patrolling with Embry Call who wasn't exactly the most exciting person to patrol with.

Well Kevin, I can see your true colors, I'm not exciting enough for you? Jake will send somebody when he's ready. Embry thought.

I thought about Aiyanna waking up in Edward's arms for the thousandth time tonight and I heard Embry groan loudly in his head.

Will you stop with the torture I think I'm going to be sick. Embry thought loudly.

I apologized quickly and stopped for a few seconds to lie down, I was exhausted.

You know I had to watch my imprint be with someone else for the longest time, right? Embry thought. It will get better she'll realize you two are meant for each other.

You had to watch Gabrielle with someone else, who? I asked.

Before Gabby realized I loved her as more than a friend she was dating a guy named Collin. Collin is a member of the pack and as you know he is now with Gabby's sister who he imprinted on. Before he imprinted though, they were together for 2 years and I had to watch the woman I loved more than anything be with someone else. Usually, it's a rule that you don't date a pack member's imprint, but they had been dating before I imprinted and I didn't want Gabby to hurt. Embry thought. Even if it hurt me.

I thought about what he was saying and it did hurt, it hurt to see Aiyanna with Edward but she did care for him and if she were to be hurt by not being with him, I would hurt even more.

You're right Embry all I need to do is wait for Aiyanna to come around. I thought in realization.

You do need to wait. Jacob's thought popped into our heads suddenly. She wasn't ready for that, but nobody has ever refused an imprint before.

I felt myself smiling internally at that thought and everything began to feel right.

Embry, Kevin, Quil and Paul are coming to relieve you guys and I'm going to run with them, go on home. Jacob thought. You have school in the morning Kevin so get as much sleep as you can, it's already three in the morning.

I stopped abruptly and shuddered in disbelief, three in the morning? I began to feel the sleepy haze fall around me as I stumbled out of the forest in human form and threw on my shorts – Billy Black's house in plain view, and I walked up the rickety steps of the porch determined to see Aiyanna. Suddenly, I felt so tired I couldn't stand it any longer and I collapsed on the bench by the front door, swearing that I would see her in the morning before I slipped into unconsciousness.

Brent's POV

I knew I shouldn't have been drinking, but life seemed so pointless lately.

I glanced down at my blurry phone screen as I stumbled to my car in Port Angeles – the booze heavy on my breath, and the phone was blinking 3:15 am.

"Yooou'vee gotchata bee keddin' meh," my words slurred terribly, "Shcoool en liikee four hoursh!"

I threw my can of Heineken into the gutter and rested my head on the door of my white Pontiac Grand Am; trying to shove my key in the lock and failing miserably. I slumped down on the ground and kicked at some of the gravel in the road - my head feeling like it weighed twenty pounds, and I began to sob. My mom had been bringing one man home after the next lately and they had all been jerks who always gave me and my sister Karen a hard time, so I came out to Port Angeles to clear my head and kick back a few beers.

I thought about school and how much I didn't want to go, until I thought of Aiyanna. The Cullen kid had been hogging her lately but I was determined to start talking to her again because I really did like her, she was gorgeous.

"Shtupid Cullean," I cursed him under my breath. "I'll taallk to Aiyannaah laterr,"

I stood up dizzily and gripped the locked handle of my car door for balance when two people appeared on either side of me blindingly fast.

"I shdon't haavee aneyy money, shoo goo away," I slurred angrily; trying to unlock my door again.

"Silly little boy," A woman purred, "haven't you heard the expression 'never drink alone'?"

I looked at the beautiful, pale woman whose red hair whipped wildly in the gentle breeze – her blood colored eyes gleaming at me, and her mouth twisted into a wicked smile. She ran her dreadfully cold fingers along my neck and began to lean in when another pale hand pushed her face away.

"Victoria my darling, did you not hear this boy slur the girl Aiyanna's name?" A man said calmly, "He may be of some use to us."

"Oh, alright," the woman growled suddenly, "but we need to eat something before you go to Forks, the Cullen's will only be able to tell that you're fully human if you're well fed."

"shfully human?" I slurred in fear.

I began to back towards my car when everything felt fuzzy and I suddenly couldn't remember the last few minutes at all.

"I love your car, mind if I drive?" a red headed woman purred suddenly.

I glanced over to see her and a pale man with long black hair smiling at me. I nodded my head in confusion as they pushed me into the car quickly, flying down the narrow roads of Port Angeles towards Forks when I passed out cold in a drunken slumber.
