Baby Baby

"I am impressed." Kelly said as she grabbed a pair of gloves to continue the exam. "I thought for sure you would have popped these babies out by now."

Liz was on the table and Jason was wiping off her tummy. They had gotten another look at their little ones during the first part of the visit. "I read that by 36 weeks there was a good chance that the lungs would be developed enough to avoid complications." She winced a bit as Kelly began the internal exam. "So I set my mind to not giving birth before we reached week 37." Which they hit today.

"I'm not going to complain that you are still cooking them." Kelly commented as she did the exam. "Your sister made it to week 38, are you trying to top that?"

"No." Liz said keeping her breathing even.

"Sarah and Carolyn were a lot of help when I was putting together your birthing profile." Kelly was having a good feel around. "Your mom really impressed me. She came to the lunch where we talked with all her birth records." Since this was Liz's first pregnancy she had no obstetric history. Usually, that meant they looked to the patient's mother, in this case sister too, for help in figuring out what labor and delivery might look like.

"All three of us were born in different states. My mom took her records with her so that the doctors had an idea of what to expect." Liz relaxed now that the exam was over.

"Her records were helpful. She skirted the line of being underweight with all three of you guys. Sarah's records helped me see that seems to be just how you three are designed." The eldest Webber daughter also had weight issues. Sarah had blood pressure issues with her last two pregnancies, which mirrored Carolyn's pregnancy with Liz. So if the Morgans had more children Kelly would get on that early. "They are both excellent doctors and shared a lot from their perspectives. However, there are things an obstetrician would pick up that they missed." Kelly tossed her gloves and made some notes in the chart. "Jason, did you follow the advice I gave you last month?"

"About the putting the bag in the car?" Jason was rubbing Elizabeth's hand to help her stay calm. "I think that was the only thing you said."

Kelly nodded. "That is exactly what I mean."

"Yeah." Jason paused a minute to keep his composure. "Are we staying?"

"No." Kelly stood up from her chair. "I am going to send you to whichever parent is not working today." The doctor smiled wider at her friends. "Elizabeth is three centimeters dilated."

"I'm in labor?" Liz said stunned. "But I'm not having any contractions." In fact, she felt great. Tired, but still really good.

Kelly walked over to the table and lifted the gown once more. She placed her hands on Liz's tummy, just like she did with Nadine out at Greystone. "Breath normally for me." She said keeping her hands soft. "Yup, you're in labor. It's early though which is why you aren't feeling the contractions."

"You felt one?" Jason asked feeling a mild surge of panic. He clamped down on that because he was not going to fall apart when his family needed him.

Kelly still had her hands on Liz's tummy. "I did. You'll probably feel it in your lower back first. A stiffening and tightening of the muscles. If I had to guess I'd say by the end of the day. Midnight or so." The doctor was watching the clock as she spoke. She wasn't going to move until she felt another one to get some sort of preliminary timeline. "According to both your mother's and sister's charts they had fairly short labors with their first children. Which is why I don't want you to go home. I want you with medical personnel, just in case. Keep breathing normally." Kelly requested. "Sixteen minutes." She spoke shattering the silence the room had descended into.

"Is that good?" Liz was trying to wrap her brain around the fact that the babies were preparing to enter the world. She kind felt a kind of surreal detachment at the moment. Like she couldn't believe this was happening. Looking at Jason she saw that same feeling reflected in his eyes.

"It's fast." Kelly said grinning. "So I'm going to bump up the time on my earlier prediction. By midnight you'll probably be having regular and steady contractions. I would suggest that when you get to the parental units home you try to take a nap."

"You can't be serious." Liz just looked at the doctor. "You tell us I'm having contractions and then suggest a nap."

"I'm guessing it's going to be a long night, so yeah a nap would be advisable. You might want to stick to a liquid diet from this point forward. Solids might not stay down." Kelly also told them. "Any questions?"

"Why can't we just stay here?" Jason thought that would be the best course of action.

"It's too soon. Even with all my pull, I can't get you admitted at the moment. I doubt your parents can either." She looked at Jason. "Policy says that you don't get to stay until the contractions are coming regularly at two-minute intervals or Liz's water breaks." Or there was an obvious complication, but Kelly wasn't going to say that out loud. She wasn't going to put bad mojo out there.

"Even though I'm dilated?" Liz would rather stay as well.

Kelly nodded as she went back to the computer to make more notes in the chart. "I'm on for the next two days so you'll get to see how amazing I look in scrubs. More importantly, I'll get to see the babies first, and hear their names. If you go to the Webber ranch I want you walking around." Liz's parents had a nice open floor plan for that. "If you go to the mansion maybe get into the pool and walk around."

"My parents are both here." Jason said as he helped his wife off the exam table. He watched her waddle into the bathroom to get changed. "So we will call and see who else can watch us."

"Sarah and Steven are both here. I saw Sarah in the locker room. I had to go down to the ER to see a patient and bumped into Steven. Emily is here as well. So your best bet is Carolyn or Jeff." Kelly shared what she knew. She rarely ran into Carolyn outside the cafeteria or locker room, and Jeff didn't work in the building.

"What if no one is home?" Liz asked coming out of the bathroom. "It is a weekday."

"Call me back and I'll get Emily bounced for the day." Kelly said while grinning. The top resident in her class would be fine if she missed a day of work. "It will be payback for her not joining my department." The short doctor said with an evil grin. Emily was going to be an outstanding surgeon and Kelly liked working with the best. The residents were announcing their department picks next week, and a lot of the doctors were waiting to hear what Emily decided. General Surgery was leading the picks because that was what Alan's specialty was. "Okay. Get out."

"Your bedside manner could use some work." Liz was holding Jason's hand, rather tightly. She needed to feel anchored and he was doing that for her.

"You aren't on the bed anymore." Kelly said before sticking out her tongue. "If no one is available call, Audrey." Kelly wasn't going to get Emily bounced. "Give a ring when you hit every two minutes." She commanded before walking out of the exam room to go see her next patient.

"You okay?" Liz wanted to take a minute before they left too.

"I'm nervous and excited." Jason squeezed her hand. "We got this."

"We do." Liz nodded. "Let's call my parents and see if either one of them is home." She could hear Kelly and Jason talking about who was in the building today.

Jason got out his phone and did just that.

"Come on in." Carolyn smiled at her daughter and son. "Have you told anyone else?"

"No." Liz said enjoying the air conditioning. "I don't want a lot of people sitting around watching me. I don't know how Nadine coped with that." The nerves were starting to hit hard. During the short ride over there had already been one weeping spell.

"Hey there." Jeff walked over and gently hugged his little girl. It still was mind-boggling that she was going to be a mom. Just like with Sarah it seemed he had just taken Lizzie to her first day of school. "How are you doing?"

"Good. I feel…normal. For lack of a better word. Physically anyway. Mentally my mind is racing. I keep trying to figure out if we are ready." Liz had shared this with Jason after the tears stopped.

"You in same space?" Jeff looked over at the man who had his daughter's heart.

"Pretty much." Jason just wanted to be a good birth partner. He wanted to make sure his wife had all the support she needed. "I've been going over what's in the house and trying to think if we need anything. From a material items standpoint, we are ready. Although someone will need to go get the car seats."

"I'm sure there will be plenty of volunteers." Jeff said impressed at Jason's calm. Despite his medical degree, Jeff had fallen apart during each one of Carolyn's labors. Not his finest moments. "Let's you and I go into the living room. The ladies are going to do some walking. You get the next shift, then it will be my turn."

"He won't get on my nerves." Liz said calling her parents out.

"Yes, he will." Carolyn said laughing. "It will pass quickly, but trust me at some point during labor you will be really pissed at Jason. Come on." Carolyn urged her daughter towards the kitchen.

Jason just watched them go. "Would your feelings be hurt if I asked you to call Audrey?" He trusted Jeff and Carolyn. Jason just trusted Audrey more.

"Not in the least." Jeff steered the younger man towards the parlor. "We can call her now."

At nine that night Jason sent out a message to their family and friends letting them know that Elizabeth was in labor. He told them not to head over to the house because they weren't there. Before ending the message he made sure to say that Elizabeth and the babies were doing well. The final line of the email promised to let everyone know when they were headed into the hospital.

"All done?" Alan asked his son. He and Monica had been invited to come over to the Webber home to provide support.

"Yeah." Jason was up next to walk around with Elizabeth. He took every other shift. When they got to the hospital he would take over coaching full time. "My phone is going to start ringing shortly." More than likely he would only get text messages, and no one was going to expect an immediate response. They would understand his focus was elsewhere. "How did you handle the nerves when Mom was in labor?"

"I'm ashamed to say I didn't have to. I wasn't with Monica when she gave birth to AJ. I wasn't with Susan either when she gave birth to you." Alan had a lot of regrets from earlier in his life, missing the births of his children was high up on that list. "This is my first ever labor watch. That's why I've been letting Jeff give out all the advice." Alan was just happy that he and Jason were in a good enough place that he was invited to come over.

Jason laughed at that. "He's been doing great. So far my favorite has been him telling me that pregnant women are fifty times stronger than the average human and that Elizabeth will rip parts of my body off if I annoy her."

"Considering he survived the birth of all three of his children, he obviously knows what he is talking about." Alan was laughing too. He and Jeff had become good friends, and that sounded like something the other doctor would say. "Elizabeth is doing outstanding."

"Not surprising. She's stronger than you would think just looking at her." Jason was constantly awed by her. "And I need to go find her." It was a cool night, for August, and Elizabeth wanted to walk around the backyard. Her mother and Monica were out there with her at the moment. Neither women was in doctor mode, although they were alert for any possible issues, but were fully in mom mode. They were helping to usher in the newest member of that club. "Any advice for after the babies are here?" Jason and his dad were heading to the kitchen. Jeff was already there. He was watching the ladies through the window over the sink.

Alan stopped them just before he stepped into the kitchen. "Accept and love your children for who they are. The fact that I didn't do that caused this family a lot of pain." He wasn't alone in making that mistake, but he had long ago accepted his part in the dysfunction of the family. "I made the same mistakes over and over again, which is also unacceptable. So I would advise you to do better there as well." He hadn't ever apologized to Jason for his role in the accident. Alan got that this wasn't the time and place, but it needed to happen.

"Thank you." Jason heard what was said, and what wasn't. He would accept the apology not because he needed it; that was water under the bridge now. He would accept the words because Alan needed to say them.

"It's a lovely night." Liz commented as they made another circuit of the backyard. She had to stop as a contraction moved across her stomach. They were getting stronger as they started coming closer together. Squeezing the hand Jason gave her she panted until it passed. "Will you think less of me if I change my mind about a natural birth?"

"I'll probably cry out of gratitude." Jason didn't like seeing her in pain. "Would you like to go in and rest a bit?" Walking was good as it helped the labor progress. That had to be balanced between not having Elizabeth exhaust herself. She had been taking breaks between circuits of the yard, which was also a good time to hydrate. Much to their mutual surprise a nap even took place. Kelly would be proud.

"When we get to the deck." Liz felt it was time to stop for a bit. "Someone can take my blood pressure while we are in the house." They walked a little further before she had to stop again. "How long?"

"Three minutes." Jason was wondering if their babies would be born before the day was out. "Now is a good time for you to tell me which baby you want to go into which nursery." He gave her his opinion, and his wife had said she needed more time. Just last night they had been putting away the freshly washed sleepers, from Diane and Shawn, when Jason mentioned needing to make a choice soon. Elizabeth said she would tell him at breakfast. This morning his wife had been grumpy and he didn't want to push her.

"I have." Liz said grinning at him. "I'm bolstered by the fact that if I'm wrong we can just switch them and no harm will be done. Felix gave the rooms such personality and charm that it increases the joy I get from spending time there." Both rooms were ready to go.

The safari nursery had been given lighter brown furniture meant to mimic the tall sun bleached grasses of the African Savannah. The forest nursery had deep brown furniture meant to mimic the trees one would find in such a space. The fact that Felix went with baby animals meant the images on the wall were not at all frightening. He'd even put up borders to give the rooms a more cohesive feel.

"You were right." She grinned as they made the turn that would take them back to the rear deck where the family was waiting. It was just the parental units and the grandparents. "Cameron should go in the safari room and Jake will go in the forest room."

"What helped you decide?" Truthfully Jason would have been happy either way. However Elizabeth asked him to give her his opinion, so he did. They had chosen the Jack and Jill rooms for the nurseries, and they were roughly the same size so that wasn't an issue. Since he wanted to be fair Jason pulled the names from a hat. Something he fully confessed to his lovely wife. Cameron ended up with the slightly larger of the two rooms using that method.

"You did." Liz had to stop before answering. She might be wrong but that contraction seemed to come sooner than the last one. "I don't want you constantly seeking approval before making decisions. You're their dad and that means you get a say in what happens. My father had to ask before doing anything, which in his case was a good thing because he had some truly bad ideas." She laughed as she said that. "I remember one morning he actually let us have pound cake with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and strawberries for breakfast. We were bouncing off the walls by the time we got to school and Sarah threw up during gym." Still, Liz wouldn't have changed a thing because her childhood was amazing for the most part.

"I wouldn't do that. I would go with Cook's chocolate cake." Jason said with a mischievous grin. "Only because I've seen you do it." She woke up one morning and had to have a slice of the cake they had in the kitchen. Cook actually blushed bright pink when Elizabeth gushed over the dessert one night after dinner at the mansion. His wife asked if she could take a slice home, but Cook ended up sending an entire cake. "If you want to swap the rooms after living with the decision for a while that's fine."

"No comment on Cook's cake." Liz said panting as another contraction started. "Time?"

"Two minutes and fifteen seconds." Jason looked at the porch and saw that everyone was looking at Jeff, who was looking at his watch. "We're almost at the house."

Liz nodded as they set off again. She got about four steps before halting again. "I think my water just broke." She said wide-eyed.

Jason nodded as he made a call. "Hi." He said when Kelly answered. "Elizabeth's water just broke. The last contraction was just over a minute ago."

"How long was the time before that?" Kelly was in her office. She had just delivered a baby not twenty minutes ago. At the moment she had four other mommies doing the same thing as Liz. So the next twenty-four hours were going to be rocking.

"Two minutes and fifteen seconds." Jason reported as they slowly started walking again, before pausing once more. "Another contraction, exactly two minutes."

"Head in. I'll meet you in the ER. Your entourage is welcome to come." Kelly would have no problem telling them to back off if they overstepped. "Come right in, do not stop to shower." Mommies often did that because they wanted to look nice when coming in. It wasn't usually an issue, but with the Webber ladies having shorter than normal first labors Kelly just wanted to be on the safe side. "Since Liz is having contractions already now that her water has broken I want her here in the hospital." If things moved quickly from this point forward they wouldn't be caught off guard.

"We'll head to the car now." Jason said ending the call. They were close enough to the deck for him to shout. "Ritchie, start the car please." Elizabeth's guard insisted on staying with his charge. So Jason sent him to the guest room for a nap.

"I'll alert O'Brien." Ritchie called back before moving off. Johnny was in charge of security for the birth.

"Elizabeth's water broke." Jason told everyone when they reached the steps of the deck. "Kelly wants us to head in."

"Mom, do you have a towel you don't want anymore. I don't want to destroy the car seat." Liz stopped for another contraction.

"The car is already set up." Carolyn had done that after her last walking shift. Not because Jason cared, but because she knew her daughter was going to say that if they reached this point here at the house. "Let's get you moving." Steven came an hour after her water broke, so the staff needed time to get Liz prepped.

"Thanks, Mom. Are you guys going to follow us?" Liz could feel her nerves ramping up.

"We'll be right behind you." Carolyn promised.

"Mom, would you ride with us?" Liz would just feel better. She wasn't trying to slight anyone else, she just wanted her mother close by.

"I sure will." Carolyn had no intention of stepping on Jason's toes, but she could offer support during the ride to the hospital. "I put the towels in the back so that you could sit with Jason, so I'll sit up front with Ritchie."

"Thanks, Mom." Jason said as the small group moved to the front door.

"I'll call your sister." Alan offered so that Jason didn't have to.

"I'll call Steven and Sarah." Jeff could handle that. "I think Steven is still at the hospital, so we might see him when we arrive."

"Johnny will call everyone else." Jason answered while focusing on his wife. Ritchie had the car door open and they carefully got Elizabeth into the vehicle. Jason got in and so did Carolyn. "Let's go." The blonde mob boss instructed.

"Walsh to Chestnut. It's the fastest route in." Carolyn knew from countless emergency surgery calls. "Fewer lights."

Ritchie nodded and they took off.

When they walked into the ER, Kelly was waiting with a wheelchair. Elizabeth sat down and they went right up to the labor suite. Several nurses helped her out of her clothes and into a gown before helping her clean up a bit. That was just to make Liz feel better because when the babies came she was going to be really messy. "Okay, let's see what we are working with." Kelly said doing an internal. "Nine inches dilated and fully effaced. You want some drugs?"

"Yes." Liz didn't hesitate to reply. "I'm willing to bribe you to lie and say I toughed it out."

"That's a tempting offer, but since it's illegal I'm going to pass." Kelly laughed answering. "Your sister had drugs for all of her births."

"I know." Liz panted as another contraction hit. They were still at two minutes. "I just wanted to be able to brag that I showed her up."

"Have another set of twins when you get pregnant again." Kelly was monitoring the readouts. Everything was looking good. "Then you'll have bragging rights for life."

"Let us get these two out first." Jason said coming into the room. He had been putting on his scrubs. "Why do you need bragging rights?" He asked his wife.

"I asked for drugs." Liz was hoping they arrived soon.

"Your mother and Sarah both had drugs." Jason repeated what Kelly said while he was out of the room. "Your labor has been the shortest so far, you can brag about that."

"Good point." Liz said as the anesthesiologist walked into the room. Introductions were given, and less than ten minutes later she was a lot more comfortable. "That's amazing."

"That's what all the mommies say. Did you know Greg once got a marriage proposal?" Kelly always worked with the same crew. "He's always the most popular person in labor and delivery." He would stay and monitor Liz's vitals. "Just relax, let your body do what it needs to, while the staff gets set up. I'm going to go visit your fan club. I'll be back in ten minutes to read the charts and maybe do another exam."

Liz just nodded before turning to Jason. His beautiful blue eyes were shining with unshed tears and she could feel the water works threatening too. "They are almost here." The pregnancy seemed to simultaneously take forever and fly by. Now they were on the cusp of the next stage of their lives.

"Yeah. I love you." Jason just needed to tell her that. "Thank you for our sons."

"Right back at you." Liz said urging him forward for a quick kiss. They were interrupted by the nurse handing over some ice chips. It was almost time, and they were ready.

"How are you feeling?" Kelly asked her friend. The doctor gloved up and had a seat. "Ready to have a couple of babies?"

"More than ready." Liz said for both her and Jason. True to her word their doctor was only gone about ten minutes.

"That's good because you are fully dilated." Kelly stood up and removed her gloves. "Let's get the bed broken down and the stirrups in place so that the Morgans can meet their children. You ready over there Maggie?"

"All set." The pediatrician replied. The head of Neo-Natal was on standby if needed. Given the last report even if the Morgan twins had to visit that ward, their stay should be brief.

"Okay." Kelly scrubbed up again, before slipping into the waiting gown, and then putting on some fresh gloves. When she was back in position she got them started. "I want you to give me a big push when I give the word. Because of the epidural, you are not going to feel that push so it's important you listen to my instructions. Jason, I want you paying attention too." She waited while they both nodded. "How do my readouts look?"

"We are good to go." Greg answered. He was using this as a teaching moment for the intern he had with him.

"Fantastic. Okay, take a deep breath and bear down hard." Kelly started counting back from ten, guiding Liz through the age old process of bringing a new life into the world. "Looking good. I've got a baby crowning." Kelly said after three strong pushes. "Another deep breath in and push, push, push. Jason give Liz a bit more support so she can sit up a little more. That's it." Kelly said monitoring their progress. "Reports."

"Everyone is good. Heartbeats and blood pressures are right on the money." Greg answered.

"Your little one has hair. It's dark like mom." Kelly thought Liz was doing great. "Let's have another push. Chin to your chest and go." The doctor instructed counting backward once more. "Okay hold up." The head was out, now it was time to tackle those shoulders. "I need a big push from you. Dig deep once the shoulders clear the baby will slide right out." Kelly got ready to make the catch and in three big pushes, the baby slipped from his mother's body. "We have a boy!" She said putting him on the blanket on his mother's tummy. "Well done."

The joy in that moment was so huge that it rendered Elizabeth speechless. One of the lives she had protected, nurtured, and loved was here. He was also clearly not happy with the current situation based on the crying.

"He's beautiful." Jason had to wipe his eyes, but he never let go of Elizabeth's hand.

Liz just nodded still searching for words. She was exhausted, but they weren't done. Now she had to get his brother out. The nurse wrapped Cameron up and took him over to be examined and weighed. "How do things look?"

"Good." Kelly was back in her chair as around her the team got set up for the second birth. She had a new gown and gloves to keep things sterile. "You should be able to start pushing again shortly. How is the little one, Maggie?" The new parents would want to know.

"All nines on the Apgars. Five pounds even. Nineteen inches, and stunning blue eyes." Maggie was happy to announce.

"What are you calling him?" Kelly asked watching as the second baby started to crown.

"Cameron Alexander." Jason told their friend.

"Nice name." Kelly answered a bit absently. She was focusing on the task at hand. Cameron, or Baby A, was the smaller of the two twins. So Baby B might be more of a challenge especially since Liz was already tired. "Okay. Let's get back to it. You're a pro now, so this should be cake. Let's get him out so that we can meet Cameron's brother." Kelly said before telling Liz to give a big push.

"You can do this." Jason was rubbing Elizabeth's back and giving her all the encouragement he could. He had done this while Cameron was being born. Never in his life had Jason felt so useless. There was nothing he could do but hold her hand, tell her he loved her, and pray.

"Baby B has light hair, like his dad." Kelly said giving them an update. "If it stays. According to Carolyn none of you kept your hair, but when it grew back it was the same color. Sarah said something along the same lines, except her last baby changed hair colors. Another big push."

Liz was so tired, but they were almost there so she wasn't giving up. Not until both her boys were here. With a low growl, she pushed hard until Kelly said to stop. Taking a deep breath she was ready to go when the doctor gave the order. Jake took longer than his brother, but less than ten minutes after Cameron's arrival another set of cries filled the labor room. That was when Elizabeth gave up and let her own tears come.

Unlike his brother who cried until he was swaddled, Jake settled down relatively quickly. He was also taken over to Maggie for an exam, and at the same time a nurse came over and handed Cameron to his father. Jason looked down into the face of his eldest son and felt his heart overflow. "He looks like you." Jason shifted the baby so that his mother could see him. The eldest son even had a shallow dent in his chin.

"He does." Liz reached out and gently touched him. "Hi. I'm your Mom." She was still crying. "Hi, Cameron."

"I'm your Dad. We love you." Jason told his son. "How is his brother?" There was a lot of silence on the other side of the room.

"All nines, five pounds six ounces, twenty-one inches. He's also got those stunning blue eyes." Maggie was happy to pass along. "He's a pretty chill newborn." She added on at the end. "He'll be over shortly."

Kelly was looking at the readout from the monitors, she just wanted to make sure Liz was doing okay. With the babies and placentas out this part of her job was almost complete. "Nice work you two. He's a cutie." She said looking over at the baby. "What are you calling his brother?"

"Jacob Martin." Liz answered as the nurse brought her youngest son over. "He looks like you." She said smiling at Jason. Her heart was so full. Around them, the room was still a hive of activity as clean up started. "Can I try feeding them, or do they need to leave?" Sarah's twins had to be taken to Neo-Natal right after birth.

"You can give it a go." Maggie was hanging around to escort the babies to the nursery, but there was time for this. They were going to the main nursery. Even if their weight dipped they shouldn't need a trip to Neo-Natal.

"Let me start with Cameron." Liz handed Jake to the nurse. She wanted to hold her eldest son, and this way Jason could hold Jake.

"I wonder who won the pool." Kelly watched as the nurse helped Liz get the baby latched on. "I find it funny that Sarah is the only one in our crew to have girls. Congratulations you two. I'm looking forward to being an aunt again." She already had that title through Michael and Aiden.

"Thanks." Liz said watching her son eat. She looked over at Jason who was holding Jake, but also watching his son nurse. She had plans to pump as well so that Jason could take some feedings. This was a good time for bonding and she wanted him to be able to experience that.

"I need to go tell everyone that the babies are here and that you guys are all okay." Jason said but didn't move. "I don't want to go though." They were in a kind of bubble and right now they didn't have to share their children with anyone but each other. At the same time, it was cruel to make the family worry or hang out longer than they needed to. They had to all be exhausted.

Kelly looked at the clock. "After you tell everyone they have to leave, it's well past visiting hours. Even the staff members have to leave. Except for Steven, you will have to throw him out of the room upstairs yourself because he's still on the clock." Which actually meant he wouldn't have a lot of time to hang around. They were coming up on the busiest time for the ER. Overnight saw a spike in patients. Especially around two when the bars closed.

"Burp Cameron." Liz said as they once again switched boys. "Then you can go down the hall. By the time you get back Jake should be ready to be burped as well if he nurses like his brother did." She wasn't producing milk right now so the boys weren't nursing for very long. In the next couple of days, her milk should come in.

"I'll be right back. I love you." Jason said handing his son to the nurse who put him in the bassinet. "They won't change rooms while I'm gone will they?"

"No." Kelly assured him. "I'll hang out unless another of my other moms is ready to go."

Jason got another kiss before forcing himself to leave the room. Their new room was a few floors up. They were staying in one of the private suites because it was easier to secure. There was already a guard on the door, and during their time here that would be a common sight.

Everyone was waiting in one of the lounges on the floor. Despite the late hour, no one was sleeping. It was Emily who spotted her brother first, only because she was returning from the ladies room. "Jason's coming." She announced which had all eyes turning to the doorway.

"Hi." Jason smiled to set everyone at ease. "Two boys." He wasn't going to drag this out. Monica and Carolyn were already crying, he could see others struggling not to. "Mom and boys are doing great. Elizabeth was amazing." He said as he accepted the hug from his sister.

"Names?" Audrey accepted a handkerchief from Edward.

"Cameron and Jacob." Jason shook Sonny's hand and then Johnny's because they were the closest. Over the next couple of days, they would get congratulations from everyone. He and Elizabeth were expecting a lot of visitors during their stay because when they went home no one was allowed over for the first three days. They wanted time to settle into life as parents and to start learning their sons' personalities. This was a tip they got from Sarah.

"Go back to your wife and sons. We'll be here first thing in the morning." Lila tilted her head when Jason came over to drop a kiss on her check. "We've already worked out the schedule."

"Before I go I want to say thank you for all the support during the pregnancy. It meant a lot to both Elizabeth and I to know that if we needed anything all we had to do was call." Jason was anxious to get back down the hall, but he wanted to take time for this.

"That won't change just because the boys are here." Sarah was guessing he knew. She couldn't wait to meet her nephews tomorrow. Being an aunt was going to be the best. "Tell Liz that we love her." The doctor said losing her battle with her tears.

With a nod, Jason headed back to where his family was waiting.

Everyone left in the waiting area had a giant group hug. Their family had grown by two, and there would be a lot of celebrating of that fact in the coming weeks.

"Good timing. Jake is ready to be burped." Liz said handing over their youngest son. She was in a wheelchair now. This was how she would get upstairs.

"All those times we babysat Michael and Aiden are going to pay off." Jason said with a grin.

"Your room is ready." Leyla popped into the room grinning.

"What are you doing up here?" Liz asked. Marco's girlfriend didn't normally work in this department.

"I'm working the private suites for the next couple of days. Funny how that happened." Leyla said smiling wider. "I'm just coming on so I'll be with you through breakfast. Tomorrow I'm working the first shift, so I'll be around all day. They are adorable." She said peeking at the newborns. "Jason you have to put your son in the bassinet. Hospital policy states that he has to ride between stops. When we get upstairs I'll take you through bath time, and Maggie will come up to have a quick check. After she does her exam then all you guys can join Elizabeth in the room." With both babies so close to five pounds they would be watching their weight carefully. If they lost any they might not be able to go home just yet.

Jason put the little boy down and his arms felt so empty all of sudden. He got out his phone and snapped a few pictures because he wanted to remember this. Then he sent a message to let the guards know they were heading up. He was going to take video of their first bath and the exam to share with Elizabeth who was going straight to their room.

"Ready?" Leyla strapped the bassinets together so she could push them both while Jason manned the wheelchair.

He looked at his wife, who despite the strain of labor looked beautiful. "Ready?" Jason wanted to know.

Liz looked into his blue eyes and saw love for her, as well as their sons. They were about to embark on a whole new adventure. It was going to be wonderful and at times awful. Scary and sometimes exhilarating. There wasn't a better partner for what was to come. "We are." She said not only to her friend but to her husband. The Morgan family was ready.

Hi All! I wanted to let you know that I have created an archive to house my stories. It is the only place online where all my Liason fics from the various sites I post on are in one place. The site is member only, so if you are interested you will have to register to join. I did this so that I can weed out the trolls and cyber bullies I've had to deal with. If you are interested in joining then send me a PM and I will pass on the link. If you have been blocked or banned by me in the past please do not bother to ask for the link, you won't get it. The site is still a work in progress, as I have not finished bringing over all my stories but I have enough that I feel it's a good time to start accepting members. I am still working out some bugs, so patience is appreciated.

Also a future story update for you, I am still writing. There will be a CAWM update in September. I hope to have a short story for you by the end of October. I'm working on several full-length stories as well. I do as much writing as real life allows.

Thanks for the reviews, the follows, the favorites, and the continued support.
