The Weasley home was exactly as Draco had expected it. Small and cramped, filled to the brim with bubbly redheads, only a couple other heads of brunette or blond visible.

The Weasley mother, Mrs. Molly Weasley, took one look at Baby Granger and seemed to grow three sizes. She approached and immediately began to mother them, dusting off Granger, thanking him for coming, and inviting them to sit down around the table.

Ginny Weasley took Granger from his arms, and at first, Draco panicked. Soon however, he realized there wasn't enough space for Granger to get too far from him.

Living in small quarters did have its advantages, he had to admit to himself.

Draco silently brought a gleaming, fresh bottle of Firewhiskey to Arthur Weasley, who thanked him graciously. He then turned to Mrs. Weasley and tried to hand her a massive box of sweets, which she tried to decline. Percy Weasley ended up taking it from him, admonishing his mother for refusing a gift from a guest.

It was overwhelming. From the deafening silence of the Manor, the hustle and bustle of the Burrow was alien.

Blaise and Theo grouped up behind him. Theo had brought a box of Christmas cookies, and Blaise had brought a holiday gift basket, all of which Molly Weasley spread onto the dining table.

The Weasley Twins – Draco had to think back for a moment, Ford and Greg, was it? – dove in for the sweets, amid their mother's shouting.

"Stop that! We have guests Fred, George!"

Ah, Fred and George.

"Look at Hermione, Bill!" A blonde woman Draco vaguely recognized cooed at a tall Weasley. "What a sweetheart. I can't wait to have one."

"Me too, Fleur, me too."

Draco raised his eyebrow. Fleur Delacour, he remembered. She'd come to his school around fifth year. Everyone had fancied her.

Another Weasley he didn't recognize smacked Fred – or was it George? – Weasley across the back of the head. "Sit down and stop making a scene!"

"Never!" The Weasley twins grabbed each other by the arm and danced around in a circle.

Despite himself, Draco chuckled.

Finally, Mrs. Weasley regained control of the wild party, and everyone sat down at the table.

Luna Lovegood was there, as was Neville Longbottom, Dean Thomas, and Seamus Finnegan, Draco noticed. They all had families they could have been spending Christmas night with, but then again, so did he.

The fire roared to life and Fred and George Weasley hopped up to bring their friend Lee Jordan to the table. A moment later Oliver Wood apparated in, and Percy Weasley rushed to find him a chair. Potter and the Weasley twins all crowded around him, exchanging greetings before sitting down once again.

Draco didn't know how they all managed to fit. If they'd been Muggles they surely would have had to eat outside. As it was, the dining table stretched far past its natural limits.

Mrs. Weasley rushed around, fussing over Baby Granger and making sure to serve everyone. Eventually Potter and Mr. Weasley managed to calm her down enough to sit and actually eat some of the delicious food she'd made.

"This is so scrumptious!" Lee moaned through a mouthful of food.

Draco winced at his complete lack of table manners, but Mrs. Weasley blushed something brilliant. "Thank you, dear. Eat as much as you'd like! You all need to eat more!"

"Classic Mum." Weasley – Ron Weasley – muttered through his mashed potatoes. "We're not starved, y'know."

Draco pulled his plate forward and caught himself just before reaching for a second one. Baby Granger was no longer solely his responsibility, and Potter was already feeding her from his own dinner.

"So, Hermione." Arthur Weasley leaned forward as the rambunctious laughter quieted down. "How are you doing?"

"Good." Granger whispered tearfully, half-buried in Potter's lap. She looked frightened, uncomfortable at the sheer number of people staring at her.

Out of the corner of his eye, Draco saw Blaise smirk. He shifted in his seat and caught Granger's attention. "Hey Hermione, do you want to sit with Draco?"

Draco felt himself color. Baby Granger nodded and scrambled out of Potter's lap, and without a word, Potter picked her up and carried her to Draco, three seats down.

Granger crawled into his lap and sighed in relief, mostly because all the attention had gone from her to Draco. Draco forced himself not to glare at Blaise and instead focused on grabbing a plate for Granger, hoping the unusually-silent Weasley household would get the message.

Mrs. Weasley was the first to get over her shock, turning and serving more stew to her daughter-in-law.

It wasn't long before conversation started up again, and Fred, George, and Lee decided to set off mini-fireworks in the kitchen. Luna Lovegood complimented Mrs. Weasley on the family fairies in the Christmas tree (there were no fairies. He checked.) and Seamus Finnegan accidentally set his pudding on fire. Dean Thomas put it out and chided him on his lack of attention while Percy Weasley loudly discussed Ministry topics with his father.

A couple chairs down, Theo was pulled into a conversation with Fleur and the only other Weasley Draco didn't recognize besides her husband. Blaise chatted across the table to Oliver Wood.

Baby Granger slowly started to relax. Draco couldn't say the same for himself. The affair was simply loud and unsophisticated. Despite so, he forced himself to remain cordial.

After dinner, they moved into the family room, where there was much more space for everyone to spread out. Granger stuck close to Draco, but as they settled down, she approached Potter again.

"How shall we do presents?" Mr. Weasley asked.

"Hermione, do you want to go first?" Potter asked. "We've got Santa's gifts for you here."

Granger's eyes lit up excitedly. "Oh, yes please!"

Ron Weasley brought forth three gift-wrapped presents, which Baby Granger tore through. Santa Claus, it seemed, had gotten her a child's book on The Tales of Beedle and the Bard, the newest edition of Hogwarts: A History, and a picture book of the text, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Granger loved them all. She asked if Mr. Weasley knew Santa personally, like her father did, and if he would thank him for her, because the books were perfect!

Potter practically glowed with pride as Granger lovingly stroked the spine of Fantastic Beasts.

After everyone was done fawning over Granger, they moved to gift each other. Blaise and Theo exchanged gifts with each other and with Draco, and he did the same. Granger reluctantly left her books behind to hand Potter and Weaslette the gift she'd picked out for them – decorative rocks with both of their names on them.

Granger apparently really liked rocks.

After that, Granger went around and gave all of her favorite people the Christmas letters she had written. Potter got one, of course, as did Weasel and Weaslette. Blaise and Theo both got one, and so did Longbottom, Lovegood, Thomas, and Finnegan. Getting caught in the Christmas spirit, Draco generously took her remaining letters and used his wand to send them to the rest of her friends: Daphne, Pansy, Brown, and several professors (McGonagall, Flitwick, Pomfrey, Snape). He rather gleefully sent her final letter to Snape.

"Start the radio, Charlie!" Ginny Weasley called, and the last remaining Weasley that Draco hadn't known got up to turn on some music.

Fred and George danced with each other, and after some time Luna Lovegood and Ginny Weasley joined them. Granger danced with Potter, then Ron Weasley, then Fred and George took her and tossed her around, under careful watch of nearly everyone in the room.

Loud and chaotic that it was, Draco thought it might have been his merriest Christmas night yet.
