I don't own Austin & Ally
Trish's POV
"Dez, hurry up! I wanna see our baby!", I yelled. Man sometimes my boyfriend-I mean fiancé-can drive so slowly! But…I still can't believe we're getting married! This is so exciting! I mean, I never expected to end up with a guy like Dez in my life, but now I can't even picture a life without him. Honestly, it'd just be too boring. Every time we fight, or he says and/or does something totally stupid, it just feels like home. It may be weird, but I'd take that any day over a quiet life.
"Trish, I can only go so fast. The speed limit's thirty-five and I'm already going ten miles over that", Dez said. Okay, so maybe I am a little excited. I just really want to see my baby, who I finally get to call mine without having to keep it a secret. I know Ally thought I was crazy earlier when I slipped up that one time in our conversation.
"You guys are early", Maddie said when she opened the door. I could barely contain my excitement seeing she wasn't holding the baby when she opened the door. "I thought you guys wanted Bri to sleep here overnight?"
"We can change our minds can't we? It isn't a crime", Dez said defensively. I wanted to laugh, but I really just want my little girl. "Where's Bri?"
"Mads, who's at the door?", Aiden asked as he walked over to the door holding our baby in his arms.
"Daddy!", Bri screamed in a shrill voice. I looked over to Dez who looked like he was about to cry. I've never seen that boy so emotional.
Dez's POV
"Daddy!", Bri screamed when she saw us at the door. She was looking right at me, stretching her little arms out towards me! That was her first word!
"No, Bri-Bri, that's Dez", Maddie said as she lifted my little girl from her/our little brother's arms.
"No she's right, give me my daughter before I lose it!", I exclaimed as she confusedly passed Bri over to me. Bri giggled as soon as she was in my arms-the most magical little sound I've ever heard.
"Awe, that's our little girl", Trish said as she played with Bri's fingers.
"What on earth is going on here?", Maddie asked. Trish smiled at me and I nodded that it was okay to tell my little sister.
"Maddie, will you take a look at my ring finger? Is that nail okay?", Trish asked as she let Maddie look at her left hand.
"Seems fine to me. Why are you-hold the ketchup! Is that…", Maddie asked with a hopeful look on her face and that adorable smile of hers that can light up a room. Goodness, that kid's stupid if he doesn't ask her out soon. Then again, I didn't want that not long ago, but he did prove us wrong…
"We're getting married!", Trish exclaimed snapping me out of my thoughts.
"AHH! I can't believe it! One of my big brothers is married, the other engaged…Aiden, don't you dare go off and get a girlfriend any time soon. I can't lose you too after I just got you", Maddie cried hugging him closer.
"Maddie, you aren't losing me even if I'm getting married", I assured her. "I mean, you still live with us."
"Oh yeah, I'll go get my stuff-"
"Oh no you don't", Trish said stepping in front of her. "That house is just as much yours as it is Dez's. You have every right to live there and it doesn't bother us one bit", she said then elbowed me in the ribs.
"Nope, not one bit", I said rubbing my sore ribs as I handed my…fiancé-I can't get used to saying that-our daughter. Nope, can't get used to saying that either. But it all feels right.
"If you're sure…", Maddie said slowly.
"We're sure", Trish and I said at the same time. We all just spent the night at Austin and Ally's house, but woke up to the sound of Trish's phone ringing around 11:30. Well, it was a little earlier the first time we woke up, but Trish just had to tell Ally and Ella, and made me tell Austin. But here's the phone again and we were finally getting some sleep! Oh yeah, we all slept in the living room so if anyone's phone rings, we all woke up.
"Oh, it's Ally. Let me put it on speaker", she said. "Hey Ally, it's me, Dez, Maddie, Aiden, and Bri here"
"Y-You all need t-to get d-down here. N-Now", Ally said, her voice sounding muffled.
"Ally, what's wrong?", Trish asked, concerned for her best friend whom was still in the hospital. I was pretty scared myself. She's my sister! What if something happened to her, Austin, Ella, the babies…?
"Just come", Ally choked out sounding close to tears. "T-Tell the others too p-please"
"We'll be right there", Trish said hanging up and we all rushed for the car.
Austin's POV (8:00 AM; a few hours earlier)
"Toby, Ella, why are you guys just staring at the cribs? They're real, I promise", Ally said as we both laughed at the sight of the two six year olds just staring at our twin newborns like they'll either explode or were royalty. It's actually quite amusing. Everyone else went home last night, but Ella and Toby both wanted to stay here so we assured Aunt Claire and Uncle Daryl it was fine for him to stay and keep Ella busy for a while.
"They're so small", Toby said in amazement.
"Evan wasn't", Ally muttered. I chuckled a little, but I know how serious she was from all her screaming and how tight she'd held my hand. Lungs of a singer usually come in handy…unless it's a woman in labor. My ears still kind of hurt, and my hand is still not the right color.
"Evan may not have been very small, but Emma didn't exactly have a small entrance into the world either. She's the one that had me worried there for a while", I said quietly so the kids wouldn't hear. Ally turned to me with tears in her eyes, but she was smiling a little.
"I know Austin, and that really scared me", she said. I got up on the bed with her and wrapped my arms around her comfortingly.
"Shh, Ally everything's okay. Please don't cry. All three of our children, and Toby, are all fine. We have two healthy little babies and a happy and healthy six year old. Please don't cry", I begged her. I hate seeing her cry. Married or not, mother of three or not, Ally will always be the innocent, wide-eyed girl I fell in love with two years ago. Well, I met her back in kindergarten as it turns out, but you know what I mean. Now that I think back, I always did wonder what happened to that little girl that was my best friend's other best friend. When I first met her, she was so fascinating and we had so much in common. I can't believe it took me so long to finally find her.
"What are you thinking about", Ally asked quietly. I smiled down at her.
"You", I said and kissed her.
"Get a room", came a little voice I would know anywhere followed by two little laughs.
"Ella, where did you hear that?", Ally asked with wide eyes, but a smile still evident on her face.
"Aunt Trish tells y'all that all the time", she said shrugging.
"Well Sunshine, if that's the case we already are in a room", I smirked.
"Daddy", she whined. I just laughed and grabbed her, setting her in my lap. Toby was still over by the babies.
"Hey there little babies", Toby whispered. I saw Ally and Ella had turned their attention to him to as they were both smiling at him. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know we can hear him. He was holding Emma's hand. "You two sure are cute"
"Awe!", Ella whispered as quietly as she could from beside me. I had to smile too. I mean I have known the kid his whole life, longer than I've known my own daughter, so it is kind of nice to see him act this way to my babies.
"Ella! She smiled! Austin, Ally, she's smiling!", Toby exclaimed. Ella bolted right up and over there and I followed after gently helping Ally up. We looked at our little girl who was smiling, sure enough.
"Give me my camera!", Ally and Ella said at the exact same time. Yeah, let one more person say Ella isn't Ally's daughter.
"Austin/Toby, now!", they said, yet again at the same time, just with opposite names. Weird. I quickly handed my wife her camera and Toby handed Ella her phone. I honestly have no clue why he had it.
"Why can't girls ever hold their own phones?", Toby asked me as both my wife and daughter continuously took multiple pictures of the twins. I just laughed. There's my answer.
"Who knows kid? I guess it's just our job to do it for 'em", I said laughing. No matter how much I've always loved this kid, I will not let my little girl go so soon. I already missed the first four years of her life.
"Do you think Bri and Emma will be like that?", he asked. I shrugged.
"Emma…probably. She'll be living with both Ally and Ella. I don't know about Bri though. She lives with Dez, and Trish is over there all the time. There's no telling how that little girl will turn out", I joked, but I was part way serious. With those two-there's just no telling.
"That's true. Dez is weird and Trish…she's just as crazy but in a different way than Dez. She scares me sometimes, but then she is funny. I don't see how that works", Toby said. I laughed at that, because oddly, that's exactly how I've always felt about Trish.
"Oh, I got a text yesterday! Toby, why didn't you show me that I had a text? It could be important!", Ella exclaimed as she fumbled with her phone to see who texted her. About five seconds later…"YES!"
"What is it Sunshine?", I asked curiously. What kind of text could be so interesting for a six year old?
"Look!", she said excitedly as she showed me a picture of a diamond ring. Right below it said…'Thanks Ella; you rock. I hope my daughter turns out to be as wonderful as you, and I bet my fiancé thinks so too'.
"Who sent that?", Ally asked, just as confused as me and Toby.
"Oh, you know, just…Aunt Trish! Uncle Dez proposed! I'm so glad he did everything I told him and didn't chicken out", Ella said.
"What did you tell him to do Sunshine?", I asked.
"I'm the one that planned his special date for Aunt Trish. He had no clue what to do to make it special for her, so I helped him a little", she shrugged. I smiled and picked up my amazing little girl.
"I can't believe my best friend's getting married and they're adopting Bri!", Ally said as she grabbed her own phone to text Trish. That's when my phone just started ringing.
"Hey Dez", I said trying to hide the fact I already knew what he was calling for.
"You know don't you?", he asked in a monotone voice.
"What…", I said in that really high pitched voice I have when I'm trying to hide something. Crap, now I sound like Ally! "Okay, the girls are texting Trish"
"She made me get up this early to tell you", he said. I could tell he wasn't happy about that fact. The dude likes his sleep.
"He woke up screaming like a little girl!", Trish's voice rang out in the background.
"Anyway", Dez said tiredly, "we're getting married!", he exclaimed trying to sound excited at this early in the morning. It's a shocker he grew up with my mom and still has that attitude in the mornings. I can't even count how many times we got grounded for that.
"Congrats man. And I heard y'all are adopting Bri!", I said still laughing at his sleepiness, but that seemed to wake him up a bit.
"Yes! Austin, she called me Daddy!", Dez practically yelled in my ear. I smiled into the phone at how excited my best friend was over that news. I remember how great it felt being called that for the first time.
"That's awesome man. I bet you're over the moon", I said laughing a little. I will not admit this, but I actually had to wipe a free tear from my eye. I looked over to my little girl and about lost it. It's this stupid time of year. November; when it's not quite Christmas, but you get all emotional over everything. Huh, November. It was almost a whole year ago when I asked Ally to marry me. I'll make a note to get her something for that and our first anniversary.
"You have no idea." I could practically hear the smile in Dez's voice. "Well, I gotta get back to sleep. I'm soooooo tired", he said dragging out the 'so' for effect. Dez has a way of doing that.
"Alright, later man. And congrats on the new family you're getting. I bet you can't wait for Trish to be Mrs. Worthy", I said laughing.
"Mrs. Moon", Dez said from the other end. I stared at the phone in confusion.
"Huh?"
"Worthy Moon. I decided to officially add the Moon part a while back when I realized how much I didn't want to be a Worthy from the way those people were to us. I'm gonna add the Moon part to my name when we go to adopt Bri", he said.
"Wow", I said amazed. As long as I've known Dez, he's been so stubborn of keeping his last name the same because it was all he ever had that stayed the same through the years, from when he was in the orphanage to when he was adopted. This is a big step for him. Talk about making changes suddenly. He's making his girlfriend his fiancé, adopting his sister, and adding a new last name. Just wow.
"Yeah, well I really got to go. Night dude", Dez said. I looked at the time; about 10:30 AM. Oh well, he's Dez.
"Night bro, see you later" I laughed then disconnected the call right as Linda walked in the room.
"Um…I would like to speak with the two of you in private", she said to Ally and I, quickly getting our (and the kids') attention.
"What's wrong?", Ella asked immediately as she grabbed both babies' hands protectively.
"Honey, this is between me and your parents-"
"Don't you 'honey' me. I'm their sister! So if you have something to say about them, you can say it in front of me", Ella said defiantly. This would probably be the wrong to shout out 'That's my girl!' like I want to.
"Ella, this is a grownup matter", Linda said sighing.
"Well I have to say I think I've grown up fast enough as it is. Too fast as some people have told me. The least you can do is tell me what's wrong! If it involves my little brother or sister, I deserve to know!", Ella yelled.
"Ells, maybe we should go get something to eat with Dr. Murphy…", Toby said trying to get her to stop yelling. Yeah, not gonna happen.
"And why would I do that!?", Ella snapped at him, turning sharply with tears threatening to pour from her eyes. Goodness, I hate it when my baby cries. Toby looked really shocked, but didn't say anything about it.
"Because….I'll get you something from the gift shop after we eat!", he said quickly. Wait, what? Does the kid even have money?
"Toby, that's sweet of you, but I'm not leaving my brother and sister until I find out what's wrong", Ella said.
"Ella, honey, will you and Toby please go with Dr. Murphy down to the cafeteria to get me some food? You know what I like and I could really use the energy right now", Ally said gently. Ella sighed.
"I know what you're doing, but fine. I haven't seen you eat much since the babies were born so I'll take your word for it and get you some food", Ella said sadly.
"Get yourself some too Sunshine. You and Toby haven't eaten at all since last night", I reminded her. She nodded and followed Dr. Murphy out along with Toby. I didn't even notice Dr. Murphy was in the room with his wife for a while. He was being oddly quiet which is weird for him…and I noticed he gave Toby a five dollar bill; probably for the gift shop thing.
"Alright Linda, what is it?", Ally asked sighing. I know she hates causing a fuss when it comes to Ella.
"Well honey, when we were doing some tests on the babies, we noticed something slightly irregular with Emma-"
"What do you mean by that? Please just be upfront with us", Ally begged. Linda sighed.
"There's a possibility she has what we call Supraventricular Tachycardia", Linda said slowly. I looked over to Ally, not knowing what that was, only to see my wife's face was pale as a ghost. Okay, now I'm scared.
Hey guys! So most of this chapter was kind of a filler, but it was leading you all up to the cliffy. Now, for those of you who don't know what Supraventricular Tachycardia is, don't worry. I'll be describing everything you need to know about it in the next chapter, which hopefully will be up soon, and it isn't bad. I swear, I wouldn't do that to them. This is just starting a little mini-drama. It shouldn't last long but will play a role throughout the rest of the story and the third one I've decided to write. That's right guys, there's another sequel to Sunshine and Moon Beam! It's going to be called When Our Stars Align. So tell me your thoughts on that, and if you'd like a little preview on what Supraventricular Tachycardia is, because I should know, I have it myself. Please read, review, follow, and favorite!
Btw, I pray for everyone who was in anyway affected by the crazy snow storms we've been experiencing recently. I haven't seen my own dad in three days because of it, but it could be worse.
I love you all!
God bless you!
