HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Can you believe it's 2016 already? Cause I certainly still can't!

Yeah I know it's been a while, but honestly so much stuff have been going through my life, that I hardly had and for myself. Especially during Christmas Birthdays and New years eve.

Anyways, here is the next chapter already ready for you guys to read. Not much can be said though since this kind of does go through a bit of the game itself with some added changes.

Alright before anything, I will cut down and change some of the game-play here since well, if I don't it would act as a filler for about 90 percent of the chapter, so if it seems that Link just rushes through the sacred grove. Then yes. That's what I have aimed for, plus, as much as I love to write and such, I'm more of the person who likes to add and almost in a way create new idea and such.

I know, that Legend of Zelda is not of my creation, besides if it was. I wouldn't be on this site, I would be installing and creating the next Zelda game.

With that said. I would make a spin off game featuring Zelda saving her own Kingdom with an awesome story and similar gameplay like the other Zelda games that feature Link.

(Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, ETC.)

She would be a total badass and Zelink would be cannon, so cannon that it hurts!

And she would most obviously NOT be a girly-girl.

...

BEFORE I FORGET!

There is a voting poll on my profile. And well... it's not going as good as I thought.

It deals with a LOZ shipping that I want to consider and the details of it.

Now anyways, it does concern this story. And I would sincerely appreciate it if you guys took a gander and voted on it.

Please.

...

Yeah, anyways that's, that onwards to the story.

Chapter 29: Wanna Play A Game?

"Let's play a game." The little skull kid said a large, sharp grin plastered over his face.

But before either of the two had time to react the smaller wooden being brought that strange instrument up and blew into it. A loud mixed sound of trumpet and horn escaped from the end of it, and for the second time since reaching Faron Woods, the peculiar puppet-like foes dropped down from the top right in front of wooden imp-like being.

Skull Kid giggled once again. "Catch Me If You Can!" And with that he disappeared ahead.

Link growled upon seeing the puppets once again. He lunged at them instantly using the same technique that he used before to attack the puppets. At one point Link manage to bite the head off of one of the puppet's body.

"He went that way." Midna said pointing the open direction towards her left. The never hesitated before racing through the semi-dark tunnel.

...

Skull Kid certainly had made this a game of cat and mouse. And even though Link was the cat, he wasn't having an easy time through these maze-like woods. They seemed like they were not covering any ground at all! Seriously they are running in circles for crying out loud!

"We've already been here." Midna said boredly seeing the lone tree across the cryptic blue pond.

*I know that...* Link thought irritability, his blue eyes looking around, finding no sight of Skull Kid. However, not all was that bad considering how a pale white lantern remained hovering over the stump of the tree.

He jumped into the water, which was rather incredibly warm for some reason, before making it to the other side. He jumped over the bark that was shaped like steps in a way before conjuring his senses. The Poe never got a chance to strike back before Link hard already ripped it's exposed soul on it's petite chest.

"Nice sight." Midna commented indifferently, but not rudely. Link gave a small bark of acknowledgement when he returned back to the other side the tree the way he entered inside.

However unfortunately for both, more of the mindless, wooden puppets appeared just as Link lifted his hind paws out of the water.

"Do these things ever stop!?" Midna said roughly, using her magic to create another dark twili barrier around Link.

*You tell me.* Link thought before following the pattern of the dark magic that allowed him to zip through the wooden foes, each never standing against the wolf's speed and deadly bite. He stop as the last of the wooden puppet feel to the floor, but that caused him to catch sight of the light of the orange light.

A small curious gaze overcame his wolfish features when the light appeared over him. Blue eyes snapped up to see the light source, to his surprise he saw something jump from the tall trees. Had it not been for the childish laughter that concur the moment the figure zipped through the next tree like a monkey, Link would have never found out where his target had been moving.

-There!- He yelled chasing right after the laughing wooden being, using the fragment of light to be his guide throughout the sun-dappled forest.

Midna had to grip onto Zelda as tightly but softly as possible, while managing a hold onto the wolf's hinted green fur. Her red gaze met a flash of blue, noticing Link's tiny sprite fly along side them. Curiosity grew as she watched the fairy fly just as quick as the wolf's running, though she did take a small toll as she reached Midna's head at the speed. Despite everything that was happening around the Hylian, this little blue fairy never separated from Link at all; at times she would be hoovering around Zelda, but usually around Link. Sure, Link did say that he met Navi since he was little and stuck with each other like glue since. But wouldn't a little fairy avoid anything that involved danger...?

The twilight fairies back in her realm did, why was this little fairy stuck with Link like a hornet with honey, just what exactly was this little sprite?

With a sharp abrupt stop, forced Midna to pull away from her thoughts. Had it not been for her taught hold over the greenish tinted fur from the transformed Hylian, she and Zelda would have flown off of the lobo's back.

"What did...-" She never finished her sentence when she saw the sight before her. It looked like a small gorge like space, though it wasn't at the same time. It was definitely lower, and what looked like pillars remained at the center of the roundish place.

*Well... this is something new...* The Twili thought her visible eye gazing at the courtyard place.

Link never hesitate to jump into this new place, as his feet touched the new solid, floor, did the annoying little boy jump down with him. Skull Kid was obviously shocked that wolf actually followed him, no one has ever reached this far before...!

*Well, lets see what he's got!* Skull Kid thought quickly before bring the handmade wooden horn back to his lips and calling out to his puppet buddies. Each one falling one by one right in front of the transformed Hylian. Skull Kid watched eagerly as the wolf sprung into action, he laughed at the sight, seeing the wooden minions strike out at the wolf.

It was a half-baked plan, Skull Kid was very aware of that, but he really wanted to see if the new hero would be able to overcome this.

His red eyes looked at the new Hero, though he couldn't blink, Skull Kid was shocked to see the puppets that he barely summoned all dismantled on the floor. One of the arms of the puppets was spat on the floor from the wolf's mouth, a low growl emitting from the wolf's snout, all aimed at him. Guess the hero was much more faster than Skull Kid originally perceived...

Has hand went strait towards his side to get his horn, but in a split moment he felt a blinding pain at his side. A scream shouted out of his wooden mouth, but at the same time an internal grin hitting in as well.

Link heard the forest kid give out a shrill scream when he was forced off the short pillar.

Blue eyes widened seeing the smaller body of the wood beings fall off, the scream... it sounded like... a defenseless child... (NOTE 1)

Sharp blue eyes took another gander at the fallen being as it continued to whimper. But that wasn't what made Link freeze cold. He saw the short blond hair and light blue eyes looking at him with fear. Those wide orbs growing tears...

The wolf's stomach wanted to throw out it's contents the moment it saw that familiar young face grimace in pain.

However it didn't end as quickly when suddenly he felt a sickening pain on his hind leg. He winced, and sprung into action and escaped away from the puppets.

Midna gasped, seeing Link's new injury. "Link."

-I'm okay- He muttered taking a quick look at his enemies. The young kid barely manged to get up from the ground, then Link noticed the familiar child grasping onto his arm, a small trail of red slithered down his arm and partially over his hand. That's when Link felt his heart jump to his mouth.

He...!

However, it didn't stop there, 'he' looked at Link, the boy's summer sky hues gazed to his blue ones. Link backed away one step; Midna leaned in slightly.

"What's wrong?" She asked concern dripping her voice.

Link didn't answer as he continued to see the summer blue eyes, the same color as his own... He did that...?

The blood from Link's face drained, as he took a single step back... no he didn't... he didn't...!

Fate just enjoyed toying with the transformed Hylian when the puppets appeared right before his face, making the wolf almost jump out of his skin; had Midna not shot what looked like some form of dark orange energy at them; making them all get thrown back from the energy, Link would have most likely gotten struck horribly.

"What's going on?" She asked looking down at his face.

Again the transformed Hylian said nothing, but he did look up at her. Causing Midna to slant her eyes slightly, then turn her gaze to the wooden imp.

"What's wrong, that little brat is still there." She said pointing at it.

Link instantly glared a the twili. -He's Not A Brat!- The wolf shouted, almost knocking Midna off his long back.

-He's...- He couldn't finish his sentence. Why was he here!? What is HE DOING HERE?!

Midna only squinted her red hues at Skull kid, her face puzzled. *Just what the hell is wrong with Link?* She wondered.

His eyes went larger than dinner plates when he faced back at child, who was now up, but still holding his arm, the crimson liquid still drizzling down. The tears dripping down his face.

"Why did you hurt me Link?" The boy ask, making the wolf's heart to stop. He even sounded like him...! It is him...

-I...- The wolf had no words to say. He didn't know...

Millions of thoughts coursed inside the wolf's head. He didn't know what to do, but the fact that he hurt him... out of everything...! Why was he here!?

-Colin...- He whispered, looking down, but then instantly looked back up, but the petrified look on the youth's face made Link's heart shatter.

"You hurt me..." Colin said softly as tears ran down. Making Link unsure if they were of pain or of fear.

Midna only continued to stare at Link, her eyes growing in size slightly. Was this the reason why Link...

"Link." She started the moment more of the wooden puppets started to appear before them.

"Link!" Midna tried again, yelling at the wolf to gain attention, but it seemed that the forest brat had held him over some kind of spell.

The grip over Zelda's unconscious body tighten slightly. Causing the Twili to look down only slightly, she gritted her teeth revealing one of her fangs in her mouth. A single one of those carnivorous puppets appeared before her face.

Her red eyes widen at the sight, but the orbs opened larger as what looked like something bright and blue appeared before her face. The red-eyed puppet didn't expect it either as it remained still for a moment. But then the blue light shot at the puppet in the face, Midna expected the blue sprite to bounce off, but to her shock the collision between the fairy and the puppet caused it to actually get pushed away, making it grip it's forehead.

Red eyes were large and the irises and pupils only took five percent of the Twili's sclera space. The twilight being blinked, realizing that the little fairy gave them more time. Her shocked expressed eyes casted towards the mesmerized wolf.

*Sorry about this.* She thought before placing a fair amount of dark energy in her hand and without resentment she wrapped her fingers around his pointed ear, giving off a burning sensation making Link jump back from pain, at the same time dangerously close of bucking the Twili off his back.

-OW! What was that for!?- Link howled, wincing at the lancing pain.

"Well apparently you were stuck in your little daydream! I had to get your attention somehow!" She shouted, resisting the urge to smack him at the back of his head.

Link gave a curt growl, but when his gaze returned back at the injured child, those large blue eyes only continued to stare at him. The lobo didn't even noticed the blond haired child lift a strange looking horn to his lips, until right after blowing it.

The strange familiar sound reoccurring inside Link's wolfish ears. He winced and closed his eyes at the sound while it increased in tune, making it almost impossible to hear anything else.

"Don't let it confuse..." A voice started making his eyelids snap open and reveal those blue irises shining with confusion.

"...you Link..." The voice continued, echoing in the wolf's head. The wolf twisted his head around, trying to find the owner of the voice, but besides Midna, his crystalline orbs caught sight of Colin, the look of fear evident in his face.

But for some strange reason, there was a moment of that fear slipping for a moment. Link squinted his eyes at the Ordonian child; there it was again... the fear blanked out for a second.

*Is he...*

"It's not him..." The voice continued, this time much fainter in tone. This made Link look around, away from Colin's eyes. "It's only Skull Kid..."

Now that made the transformed Hylian widen his eyes in shock. He fiercely casted his gaze at the blond haired child. Colin is there...! How is-

The wolf stopped thinking the moment the boy's skin started to darken.

The transformed Hylian stuttered. *What...?*

"Attack, it's not the young child you grew up with..." Link's eyes never came off as the blue eyes that Link have seen multiple times as a kid towards teenager life instantly morphed into a dark purplish red.

"Skull Kid is... only toying with you..." The voice said again, her voice fading into nothing.

Doubt shrouded over the young hero. The feminine voice still echoing in his mind.

"Link!" The Twili shouted as the puppets returned back for more. Thankfully this time Link skittered out of the way, only allowing the mindless puppets attack only air.

"Attack..." The words sounded like they were screaming inside his head. The wolf scrunched his features as he looked down, the puppets now reaching towards him.

"LINK!" The Twili almost howled, the scream ignited the wolf and then he shot through the puppets, ignoring the attacks they tried before finally his fangs came in contact with the blond haired child. Link wanted to vomit when he attacked the child.

That was... until he heard the scream.

Blue irises shrunk in shock.

It wasn't human.

The scream wasn't human...

Severely puzzled blue eyes faced back at the young child, and like the scream, the child wasn't even remotely human. All the transformed male saw was the thin, wooden skin being that he met before upon entering the secret forest. His sickly grinning face came perfectly into view when he lifted himself to a standing position.

There wasn't a single injury, or stain of blood, not even a scratch embedded on the wooden child.

*It was all a trick...* Link thought, his brows crossing with his pearl white fangs rippling at his wolfish lips in anger.

Midna heard the growl, her eyes looked down at him, causing the faintest of a grin on her face. Finally he's back in action.

The Twili observed when another one of the puppets jumped at the transformed Hylian, but the wolf was fast; quickly jumping to his side and spinning with his body and struck the puppets down. He raced through the courtyard, and with a fierce leap he jumped back at the wooden child.

The scream he gave was completely different, it sounded eerie, raspy and young, but definitely not of a young defenseless child.

-You're tricks aren't going to work this time!- Link growled at the little wood being and striking him with his fangs.

But the child still fell over, a cry of defeat emitted from his mouth when he fell off of the pillar for the second time. But just as quickly that he fell, he rose back up. A haunting grin plastering over his face.

"To get over doubt! Perfect!" Skull Kid cheered jumping once in joy. "You can go!" He yelled excitedly before jumping to the sky away from the wolf and Twili's sight.

"Hee! Hee! Hee!... 'Bye!" He said mockingly before completely disappearing from the duo's sight.

"That little Twerp was much more trouble than we originally thought huh?" Midna asked facing down at Link.

-You can bet both your arms he was...- Link thought aspirately. And if anything Link would have stayed to rest for a moment had it not been for the low rumbling to his side. Blue eyes met red just moments before seeing a secrete stone passageway open to them.

Link sighed, before commanding his legs to move ahead towards the new opening. What he saw was beyond his imagination. It was a building... or what remained of it. Gray stone that deepen in color within the years still remained visible, what could have been once stairs crumbled and now is unusable.

The statues still remained somehow intact, but the silver that remained on them faded away to a dull shade. And grass grew where the stone floor remained before.

*Amazing...* The teen thought giving a good look around the place.

"Is this what those puppets tried to keep hidden?" Midna asked, her visible red eye looking at Link. Though he didn't answer, his gaze remained onto the place.

Something about this place... just seemed very familiar... just... Unconsciously he closed his eyes, as he saw what looked like a gray room. A sword, a dark yet beautiful, white as a cloud... light as a feather... but powerful and unbreakable...

A silhouette appeared before him. He closed his eyes, trying to focus more, but the silhouette drifted away from him. He tried to reach that person, but the person continued to drift away...

The taste of copper strong in his mouth...

"...nk...!"

"Lin...!"

"Link!" Blue orbs snapped opened, seeing a single crimson eye glow before him, he almost jumped back, only to see it was the small Twili, a mixed expression of concern and hinted annoyance lingered there.

"What going on?" She asked, this time she sounded soft, and not irritated.

-I...- Link looked away, -I don't know...-

(If anyone wants to have a stronger feel, go to Youtube and listen to Lorde's song: Everyone wants to rule the world - Karaoke on repeat) ~Make sure it's the piano version lol~

He didn't know where he was or what was going on, all he really knew was that it's dark and strangely warm, when he took a long look around.

Just where was he?

"Hello, anyone there!" He called out bringing his webbed hand to the corners of his mouth.

"Hello!" He yelled, closing his eyes to scream a bit louder. But no one or rather nothing responded back. The 15 year old gave a long sigh, oh who was he kidding? There was no one here. Yet... strangely enough he didn't feel alone, but neither did he feel threatened... in fact he almost felt safe, and at peace.

That was reassurance, usually the only ones that managed to give that to him was his mother and Zelda...

A strong nerve hit him when he recalled the princess... it has been some time since he seen her... he hasn't even heard from her, despite saying that she would always write to him if she couldn't visit. He only got one letter... but after that...

But he hardly blamed the Hylian royal, after all she was always busy when it came to her royal studies. Which unlike him, when he turned 10 he started his royal studies with his mother never rushed and was always on point with him when it came to his future monarchy. Which unlike Zelda who started her training when she was only at the innocent age of six, she hardly got a break when she started. It was one of the reasons why he would go visit her once in a while, to give her an excuse to relax and try to have fun once in a while...

He felt his webbed feet touch warm water, he stared down, crouching down so that his hand would be able to feel the liquid, though it was dark, he was able to see the water and rocks that remained on the floor.

The adolescent crouched down, his hand barely grazed at the water's surface before a blinding yet warm light almost blinded him on the spot.

"In Nayrue's law...!" He shouted, covering his sea green eyes. But the light quickly died down, allowing him to be slowly uncover his hand's protection slowly.

"Hello my son..."

The young boy removed his hands from his face instantly taking a look to the one in front of him.

"Okaasan...!" The boy shouted, his entire frame frozen. (NOTE $)

"It's good to see you well... my dear..." She said softly bringing a hand to her chest.

"Okaasan... I..." He looked down, his eyes squinting slightly. "I never made it to Hyrule Castle... I'm sorry..."

"It's alright my dear son. It has been taken care of..." She whispered, her matching green eyes facing her son's own.

"Our people are safe."

Now that made the 15 year old look at his mom confused. "What?" He asked incredulously.

"A young man named Link managed to help our people. As well as Princess Zelda..."

Now that made the young boy blink in shock. "Princess Zelda!? So she knew of our plight...? But I never...-"

The little boy never noticed his mother move in closely, until a warm hand laid onto his shoulder. "It's alright... she is taking maters in her own hands my son..."

The 15 year old looked at his mother, her words warm and sincere. Flashes appeared before him. They were hazy, but he was able to make out two out of the four figures... one wearing green and another wearing silver and black. When blinked back to reality, he saw his mother give a gentle smile appear over his face, to think that his own sister would help them in such a way...

"She really cares a great deal for you my son... Both her and Link will be able to help our race and help you when needed my son..."

The young boy looked back at his mother knowing very well that she met his old childhood friend. "I believe so... Okaasan."

There was a small pause between the two beings, before the warm reached towards the young boy. "When you wake soon, I'd like you to see your own personal savors and give them yours and my gratitude my son. Six people have managed to help you in your time of need my child. When you see them, you shall know who." The young boy nodded.

"Will I see you soon Mommy?" He asked using the name he gave her before when he was a young child.

Now at that the elder woman closed her eyes, almost facing away from her son. "Please be safe my dear Ralis..." She hugged him for the last time before her own body started to dissolve.

Ralis blinked in confusion at the avoidance of his question, but nonetheless returned the hug just as filled with love and warmth before the Queen of the Zoras disappeared from his sight.

(You can stop the music if you like)

The salty smell of spice and wood ran through his nose when the darkness around him surrounded him. He could feel himself having a much heavier breath and his back felt like it was taking the most weight on his body, yet something smooth and soft supported it. That alone made him open those bright green eyes of his.

It felt dry and warm, when those green eyes looked up seeing the wooden ceiling.

Since when did his room have wood inside it? Then he blinked recalling the fact that he wasn't in Zora's domain anymore...

He sat up, feeling the comfortable cushion that remained under him. His webbed hands touching it softly.

*Where...?* A small crash was heard to his side, causing the young boy to jump at the sound facing towards the area where it came from. To his surprise a small brown haired girl with white and magenta clothing remained there, a small wooden bowl on the floor upside down, and what looked like contained water now remained spilled and starting to roll it's way towards his opposite side.

But before anyone reacted, the girl ran outside. Ralis sat up, vaguely looking at his surroundings when he made his way towards the door, but when he did a much taller person stood close to the door, a gentle smile on his face.

"I see that you're awake Prince Ralis." The man bowed in respect, almost surprising the aquatic boy in his tracks.

Ralis only looked at the man when he stood back up, not sure whether to speak or not. His sea green eyes only focused on the older man, before they slipped behind him to see partially more outside of the room.

"W-Where am I?" The Zora asked, his attention back on the older male.

"You are in Kakariko Village young one, you were brought here shortly after you were found." He answered, a small smile grazing his lips.

Ralis did have a strong urge to smile, but he forced himself to give a tiny one, finding himself shocked that he gave more of a shy grin. For some strange reason, he felt... like he could trust this man. Like he was someone you can speak too and he would protect and keep you and a secret safe from the world. His gaze didn't remove from the man's face, something about him seemed rather... familiar...

"Is something wrong?" Renado asked looking down at the young child.

Then it hit the Zora prince.

"You..." The prince said suddenly, his green orbs wide. Renado rose a brow slightly in confusion.

"-you helped me..." Ralis said recognizing the voice instantly, he heard him before; his deep masculine voice, strong and ready to work under any pressure, but gentle to tame any wild animal.

Renado nodded in understanding. "Yes." He said softly placing a warm hand on the other's cool and hydrated shoulder. "And do you feel well?" He asked.

The question was ambiguous, Ralis knew that he wasn't just talking about physical health... the zora finally let out a smile. "Yes, I do, thank you."

But before anything else could happen a small grumble emitted inside the room. Ralis quickly placed a hand on his smooth abdomen. A small purplish blush occurred over his face, a sheepish smile grazing his cool lips. (NOTE 2)

However the man only smiled. "Would you like something to eat?"

Ralis only let out a smite deeper blush, but nevertheless give a small smile and nod. "I guess."

A long huff came from the wolf when he just fell to the floor.

"You okay?" Midna asked, floating right besides him.

The wolf nodded -just let... me c-catch my breath...- It sounded like their is wheezing in his voice, not that Midna couldn't blame him, the constant jumping and frustrating puzzle would zap anyone's energy out of them. It's took two, almost three tries to get those coherent statues to return them to their original spots when they first started, and it surely was no easy task.

Nope she couldn't blame Link at all.

Link wanted to stay there for a long time, but sadly... time wouldn't allow him at all. He really hated this part so much that he wanted to burn it... (NOTE 3)

Midna floated so that she was in front of him. "Need a little more time?"

Every part of Link's body screamed "YES!", but against his better will he shook his head in no. Midna looked over him again. "You sure?"

But the wolf nodded, and carefully stood up, his legs were burning and aching, but forced himself to ignore that continue further. Midna sat herself on top of the wolf, careful to not give to much stress on him, but she partially regretted that when he made a quick dash forward. The Twili was almost knocked off when he jumped over the small set of stairs that was ahead. But if anything Link made a slow stop, making Midna's eyebrows arch in confusion.

"You okay?" She asked leaning slightly over Link's furry head. But the wolf didn't even bother to listen as his blue gaze only remained on the sword.

"Hey." She called again, but once more Link didn't listen, instead he started to move forward, close to the center of the small hidden space.

-I know this place...- He whispered, almost inaudible that Midna couldn't understand him.

"Come again?" The Twili quirked.

-I've seen this place before- He whispered, his eyes moving slowly around, seeing some patches of the building still remain there. But what got the most of his attention was the single object that remained embedded in the center.

It was a sword, an old at it, that looked like it was rusting, covered in small amount of vines and a touch of grass.

*That's the sword?* Midna thought looking at it. *It looks like a piece of junk...* Midna thought seeing the red and brown coloring of the blade, the rusted metal even began to chip away from the burnt coloring of the sword. The hilt of weapon looked like it paled of whatever color it contained over the years. If anything the sword looks like it would turn to dust the moment it was touched. (NOTE 4)

Red orbs casted down at the still unconscious owl. *Why would you send us to an old sword?* She questioned, but when she felt the wolf move closer to it, she arched an eyebrow.

"Link... I really don't think." But she didn't even finish when Link paused again, his head jolted up.

The old sword itself started to glow faintly, Midna felt her eyes widened before the glow intensified a surge of power spat from the old sword. Midna gave a shout of surprise when she felt herself get knocked off from the wolf.

Link could feel the constant blow of energy that coursed through his entire frame, he closed his eyes slightly, feeling the power almost rip his skin. There was a harsh burning sensation that hit his forehead making Link almost whimper at the pain. The wolf can feel his paws skid across the grassy floor as the power continued to push him back.

By the Goddesses the power was painful...! Link howled feeling the rippling electricity coursed through his entire body.

"Link!" He vaguely heard Midna screamed, but he couldn't bother to look at her, a single movement felt like it could rip him apart. He couldn't stop! not now he-

Everything turned white.

...

"Link..."

"Link."

Blue eyes opened slightly, noticing the blue serene colorization around him. Just what in Hyrule...!?

"It's great to see you again." The voice continued, making the hero turn around behind him.

The silhouette was mostly covered, but what he was able to see of the person was the crystal blue eyes that glowed in the darken person. However he did managed to get a good outline of the face, seeing that person was indeed smiling at him.

"S-Should I know you?" Link asked carefully, trying to get a good look at the girl.

"No... you were only a baby..." the person said, despite the shadowed features, he could see that the person was sadden by her words.

"But I know you... and the fact that you looked so much like him..." The person continued, Link perked his ears; the person was female. Yet, it wasn't the same one who spoken to him in the Goron's Mines...

"Like who!? What's going on here!?" Link quirked, standing closer to the woman, but the female only stood away from him. Turning her back to him.

"You are the chosen hero, and you shall be able to wield the master sword... and shall gain knowledge beyond belief." The woman continued.

Link started to fade, he looked at his body.

"H-Hey! Wait!"

But he was already disappearing from the serene place. However not before the woman turned around, her face much more revealing before, causing Link to gasp in shock.

"I believe in you... Link." She said one last time, giving the teen a gentle smile before closing her eyes.

...

Midna barely was able to gather herself just when the light dimmed down. A small trace of dark energy sparking in her hand. She lifted it, seeing the dark crystal that was embedded inside Link's forehead appeared right above her hand.

*Link...!* She thought turning towards his direction, but instead, when she placed her eyes to find the green-tinted wolf, the only thing that she saw was a tall, young Hylian.

His hands held onto the old handle, he started tugging it, there was a small wiggle at the base of the rusted sword, but he didn't have that much trouble when the blade finally became free from the pedestal. Minda was forced to close her eyes when the weapon was lifted, as a bright gold light surrounded the sword.

The amber and dark rust started to chip off, falling like new snow on a winter night. As each old piece of oxidized metal removed itself from the blade, a small shimmer of light beamed under the rust, it wasn't long until the golden light bathed the broad weapon, and before anyone could expect it, the once old rusty sword glimmered like new. The metal looked clear and almost like a crystal and the hilt darkened in such a powerful purple; embedded with a gold gem that indicated power and courage.

Link lifted it towards the sky; as if it was the key, the fog that resided inside the small secrete place pushed away from the center, leaving the green scenery clear to see.

Midna could feel her own eyes just stare at the sword in wonder, knowing very well that it contained power like no other sword.

"The sword accepted you as it's master..." She whispered, her red hues wide from surprised.

Link brought it down, but quickly, swinging it a few times, the light weight of the sword felt almost non-existent, but could still bring the damage that any sword could cause, perhaps even more...

This sword felt good...

Midna floated right besides him, a small smile on her face, holding something in her hand. "-This this is the embodiment of the evil magic that Zant cast on you. It's definitely different from our tribe's shadow magic...-" The Twili stated, looking at the dark crystal suspiciously through narrow crimson eyes.

Link stared a the strange crystal that remained floating above the Twili's hand. He tilted his head.

"-Careful...-" Midna warned, when she saw Link looking at it curiously. "-If you touch it, you'll turn back into a beast.-" She closed her hand, making the item disappear from sight.

"This thing is too dangerous... it's probably best that we just leave it here, huh?" She looked upwards, seeing the small opening at the top from the tree branches that carefully covered the area.

"But on the other hand... if we keep it, you'd be able to transform into a beast anytime you like..."

Link almost crossed his brows at the thought of it, he wasn't happy to be turned into a wolf, and to honest he wasn't looking forward to do that again.

But something at the back of his mind told him that he will...

"Yes, since Zant was kind enough to give this to us, we should be thankful and use it all we can." She smirked, revealing her small fang to the corner of her mouth.

*I guess...* The male thought.

"-If you need it, just call me." Midna said, instantly changing her expression. "I want to keep a low profile, so I'll hide in your shadow when you're human, but I can change you whenever. You can't be a wolf anytime you like. Also thanks to this thing, you can warp whenever you want by switching into wolf form...-" Okay now that made the hero open his eyes a bit. Now he would be able transport to other places around Hyrule freely, that will surely save some time, especially when it's an emergency.

Midna stared at him, with a deep sigh, she closed on him, until her hand was on his shoulder.

"-Hey, but listen... Link..." She twitched her lips over the Hylian's name. Not sure whether she was comfortable to say Link's name.

"I've got a little favor to ask..." She looked him, wondering if was listening, the soften look on his face, allowed her to continue.

"Would you mind coming with me to find something called the Mirror of Twilight? It's hidden somewhere in Hyrule... Yes, the Mirror of Twilight, our last potential link to Zant!" She continued looking at him directly in the eyes.

Link stared at the smaller girl, noticing the small plead in her face. He didn't even have to think about it, and without a doubt he nodded a small smile on his face.

The Twili smiled sheepishly, however before she even had a chance to do anything, something move in her arm.

Two pairs of eyes moved down and saw the unconscious owl began to shift. In a matter of moments those eyes widened even larger when she saw the snow-white owl lift her head slightly, and blink those purple-blue eyes open.

"Zelda." Midna whispered, holding the owl carefully.

For a moment the owl only stared at them, but with another distinctive blink her eyes widened.

-Midna... Link...- The Princess called out, but with a small confused look from Link, made her look down at her body; to her dismay she saw that she's an owl.

"You're alright." Midna said hugging the bird only slightly. Causing Zelda freeze there for another moment. Memories suddenly rushed through her head, her eyes opened wider, but upon the healthy look that Twili had, Zelda quickly relaxed.

-I'm glad you two are alright- Zelda continued, but she paused when Link gave her another confused look, then looked down at the floor. That's right, he couldn't understand animals like she can...

The Twili realized this and turned towards Link.

"She said that she's happy to know that we're okay." Midna translated.

Now Link smiled briefly.

"I'm glad you are too..." He added.

Zelda would have smiled back if her mouth wasn't currently a beak. But then her eyes transversed themselves to the sword.

-So you did managed to get it- She said looking at Link, but cringed internally when she forgot Link wouldn't understand. Thankfully Midna already explained what she said.

Link has never felt so at home before when he returned back to Kakariko, the warm air, and non-monster environment just felt comforting. He took a long deep breath of the warm air, it really just-

"LINK!" The blond haired teen barely even had a chance to walk inside the small town, when he was suddenly attacked by hugs from all around.

"You Made It Back!" Cried Colin as he continued to hug onto his idol.

"We were wondering when you would return." Beth said looking up at him.

"Yeah! You left without saying anything!" Talo said, evidence of tears now wanting to run down his cheeks.

"Easy one at a time." He said, barely noticing Malo just stand at the corner, watching the entire scene, but giving an audible sigh before moving towards his shop. It was almost opening time, so he might as well go.

Link had to give off a small smile towards the youngest child of Ordon; Malo has always been somewhat distant, but that didn't mean that the youngest Ordonian didn't care, it's just that the little one was rather busy now.

"So where did you go?" Asked Colin finally letting go of the hero.

"I had some business to attend to, nothing big." He said, he felt the owl shift uncomfortably on the hilt of his sword; not for being able to speak for others to understand her, he could tell that Zelda was almost amused at the slide of the truth.

"That's a pretty owl, did you buy it?" Beth said, noticing the snow white owl on his sword.

"Uh, no..." Link said, trying to come up with some story. "I met her along the way actually." Link said rubbing the back of his head, looking away sheepishly.

"That's really cool, can I pet it?" Talo asked.

"Uh, no... she bites, even to me." Link said quickly. "If anything she-OW!" He winced feeling a sharp pain on his elvin ear.

The three children winced. Talo taking a small step back.

Link rubbed his sore ear, giving a half-hearted glare at the transformed princess, who only seemed to give a shrug with her snow wings.

-You said I bite... might as well make it seem I do- The transformed Princess stated, earning a small giggle from Link's shadow.

"See..." He said giving the children another look. "How's everything?" He asked, his eyes moving up to the village.

"Everything has been good. I'm making sure of it." Talo said pointing a thumb towards his chest. Earning an annoyed look from Beth.

"The town has been rather great, and the people here are really nice." Colin continued, giving Link a large grin. But before Link had the chance to return the gesture, his blue eyes gazed over in front of him, seeing a familiar blond haired girl.

Without so much of an excuse, he continued on, gently moving the Ordon children slightly to the side, and making his way towards the girl.

Without even calling her name, the blond haired and green eyed girl turned to face him. In her hands she carried what looked like some kind of leather pouch, that was filled partially with something.

"Oh, Hello Link." She smiled, closing her eyes gently before blinking them open again.

"Hi, Ilia." He paused briefly and moved his eyes towards towards the dirt brown pouch. "What in there?" He asked his blue eyes never leaving the item.

"Oh, it's just water for the prince, Renado thought it would be a good idea to give the prince some more water, since he recently woke up." She said, a gentle smile on her face.

Link could feel the owl on the shaft his new sword move abruptly at the sound of the Zora's name.

"How is he?" Link asked, knowing very well that was the question that echoed inside her head.

"Oh, according to Luda, he's doing much better, he's recently just ate something I believe." Neither one of the two Ordonians expected it when the owl flapped her wings violently.

Link bent low quickly at the sudden movement. Almost letting out a loud gasp when she flapped away from her perched spot. Despite being in a different form, she still contained her human strength. Which really shouldn't surprise the green-tad teen anymore, but it still does.

Ilia almost dropped her animal-skin sack when the snow white owl now hovered over Link. She flapped over towards the Inn door, waiting while she hoovered in the air.

"I gotta go." Link said, giving Ilia a small nod before continuing over towards the inn door. Zelda instantly zipped in the moment the door cracked open. There was a girlish raspy scream after that.

Link sighed, and followed right after. The woman that screamed rushed past him, her plump form almost knocking him over, had it not been for the table he would have fallen face-flat on the floor.

Multiple eyes darted towards him, but the teen in green had to quickly chase after the bird. Link barely had a chance to actually catch up, when he caught glance of the door that Zelda was hoovering over. Noticing that it was the third from the stairs.

*This is where...* The hero quickly grasped the idea.

Zelda gave a small hoot, Link nodded, knowing very well what she wanted.

Without really thinking, he grasped the nob and twisted, finding it that the room is unlocked. The room was like all the other rooms of the inn. Simple; a small drawer next to the bed, and a wardrobe across the left side of the room. Where it stood close to the second unoccupied bed.

But unlike the others, this room contained a few ceramic bowls and one wooden bucket besides the only occupied bed.

There was a small audible vocal sound, when Link entered, with Zelda flapping quickly inside. But the hero had to pause to a stop, the moment he saw green eyes.

"Oh... I'm sorry I didn't mean to intrude." Link said suddenly realizing what he just did.

The occupant shook his head.

"It's not a problem." The boy said giving what seemed like a fraction of a smile.

Link was about to speak had not Zelda perched herself on the foot of the bed rest, her purple eyes looking at the young Zora. There were so many thoughts coursing through her head at the moment.

So many emotions... but all in all she was glad and mostly relieved... If anything she is happy that he was awake. Ralis is safe and sound... and that's all she really cared about at this moment. She didn't care if she returned to her original form or not. Just as long as her brother is alright. She fluffed her wings slightly.

Ralis blinked upon hearing the sound of moving wings, his sea green eyes traced over towards the white owl.

"Is she yours?" Ralis asked, his green orbs remaining on the owl.

"Well... not exactly... she- wait you know that she's a girl?" Link asked his blue orbs widening in surprise.

"It's actually not hard. You can see by face structure, at times by smell." Ralis continued, "may I?" he asked extending a hand with an outstretched finger towards the white owl.

"Well actually-" But the hero had to stop cold when Zelda simply skitted her way towards the princess and actually ALLOWED the aquatic prince to pet her.

Ralis's cool fingers actually felt nice against her feathered head.

It's no wonder some pets liked to be petted... it was rather relaxing. But before it can go any further Zelda did moved back. Gaining a brief disappointed look from the Zora prince, but he quickly changed his expression when he returned to the other male.

His green eyes scanning the other. Brief images returned to his head, as his eyes looked at Link's face. "You seem rather..."

Zelda looked up, seeing the prince squint his eyes. "... Familiar..."

Ralis recalled something green before. There was a smell of a forest... and burning wood... Someone was screaming, multiple people were... and at one person... calling out his name.

"Link.." He whispered suddenly, his eyes widening in realization.

"Is... Is your name Link?"

The hero widen eyelids relaxed, and he nodded. Making the Zora boy look down slightly.

"I knew it... My mother came to me in a dream...-" He said, not seeing the scrunched worry in Zelda's eyes, her own face casting down in sadness.

"-She showed me your image." Ralis said a small hesitant smile on his face. "-She spoke of you and Princess Zelda who would save our domain and steer my fate..."

Both Zelda and Link felt their muscles stiffen at his words. Just how did...

But either way listened to what he had to say.

"There is no way I can possibly thank you enough for your help..." He said looking down. But when he did, he felt a small ticklish but warm sensation to his side. His head lifted slightly to see the white owl that was hugging...- or rather trying to at least. But he quickly turned around and saw the other a smite older teen lower himself to one knee and meet him on eye level.

"You need not to." Link started a small on his face.

"For now, just try to recover, even though you're awake... You still may be tired from passing out in the middle of Hyrule field. That would be the best for all of us that you recover soon." Link continued, a gentle smile on his face.

Ralis lowered his own head slightly another smile on his face. "Thank you."

The aquatic being re-controlled his emotions. "If there is ever a time you need help. If there is anything I can ever do for you, please tell me."

Link nodded, "I'll make sure to remember that offer." He stated softly, already standing to his feet. But when he turned around, he felt something smooth and cool touch his hand.

His gaze turned over to the prince, seeing him hold onto him still.

"Before you go... there is something I must ask you." He said, his green eyes boring into Link's blue ones.

The hero turned around, lowering his height to reach the seated Zora.

"Do you..." He hesitated slightly. "Do you happen to know where Princess Zelda resides?" He asked, his hairless brows knitting in worry.

Both heroes felt their hearts jumped into their throats.

Blue orbs briefed to the owl, but quickly returned them back towards the prince. Not really sure whether to say the truth.

Zelda wanted to tell him so much that she was right there, but she knew better that she couldn't... she just...

"She's around... and believe me, when we get her back, she'll be right here to see you." Link said carefully, in a sense, he wasn't lying at all. Zelda was around them, inside the room and when he said "get her back" he meant her original body.

To the teen's relief the Zora relaxed a smile returning to his face. "Thank you... she's my best friend. There's no way I can stand the thought of loosing her." He stated placing a hand to his chest. Right above where his heart resided in.

"Well I must be off, it was great meeting you Prince-"

"Ralis... no need for any formalities." The Zora said giving him a gentle warm expression.

"Okay. Ralis. It's great to meet you." Link said, matching his expression. Before turning to make his way out of the room.

His eyes did look back whether if the princess stayed or not, but she did give Ralis one last look before flying her way with Link.

"You didn't tell me you were friends with the Zora Prince." Link said towards the white owl. But to his slight dismay he forgot he actually couldn't understand the princess anymore.

Zelda give a tiny hoot, with a large amount of humane expression, he could tell that she was just relieved.

"That's right... you're just glad he's away and safe huh?" He asked, when he felt the gentle weight on his back again, knowing that the princess already made herself at home with the hilt of his sword.

There was another hoot. Well he was right about that one.

Ralis looked outside of his window, when he saw the green tad teen leave outside of the building. He wasn't entirely certain, but he could have sworn there was more to this male and his owl than he originally thought. (NOTE 5)

And strangely enough, he could almost feel that his old friend Zelda was with him... it didn't even feel like a vibe, it was more like she was actually with him; right besides and even almost speaking to him...

And as much as he wanted to, he knew that Link was right about fully recovering before he could even make his own way back to Zora's Domain. And as much as he hated it, no matter how much he would like to help, the fact that he hardly had anything to begin with still resided with him...

He sincerely wished that Corral was here... she'd know what to do. And though she wasn't even of royalty she acted much more a leader than he did. He hasn't even finished his royal studies, not like Zelda...

Unlike his Hylian friend, he isn't an intelligent prodigy like her... (NOTE 6)

Stories could be said that his mother didn't even complete her own studies until after she turned marrying age. But for him, his own coming of age is approaching in three years and he still needs to be able to finish the remaining half...

Ralis shut his eyes, as the multiple thoughts continued through his head. He seriously needed to get a grip over himself. He will eventually return back to his domain... he had to...

He really had to...

...

A little insight with Ralis here in this chapter.

And there will be more to come.

I really like his character, I feel even though in the game he was mostly making the pain of his mother behind that smile of his in the game. He was forced to, I mean he was crowned at a young age. I mean that is rough...

So though he may not seem like he is hurting, you can kinda tell if you read a little deeper in the text he is given when you speak to him. You can tell that there is small traces of pain in there.

So I decided to go in deeper in there.

...

I guess yeah since I did add OC's inside this story I did change it, but like I said there are going to be changes that didn't even happen in the game you know. But I am keeping the basis of the game, just with some personal touches here and there. And trust me on this, there is going to be more :D

Anyways...

I know there are a lot of these, but...

NOTES:

(1) Okay, I know Skull Kid didn't, but like I said I wanted to add some changes to the story. And this is one of them, you know. I feel like if I added that, it would make it seem much darker in comparison that just hitting a demonic looking child in the woods sounding like it's having sadistic cry.

You'll find out why I did this later on the story :D

...

(2) Okay, I'm not entirely sure if Zora's can blush at all, but in this story they can. Except, instead of turning red, they turn into a purple. I have a small head-cannon, that Zora's blood has a bit of a darker tone, more like a purple kind of color. But it's more fluid-like then Human and Hylian blood. Almost kind of like water. But with a darker kind of color.

Their anatomy is very similar to a human, but it has it's own touches like a fish's anatomy at the same time.

...

(3) I almost can SWEAR! That is what happened to me, I almost wanted to throw my Wii remote and burn the game because of hard and frustrating that sacred woods puzzle is...

...

(4) In the actual game it has it's aged look in there, but it's not as exaggerated as mine. It still looks new and ready to use, whereas in my story it looks like it will break if you touch it.

I felt that it would make much more sense for a sword to look old and rusted, with all the years it's been untouched and for it to remain like that until the chosen hero may use it and regain it's original and fine state to be able to banish evil.

(And I am aware that the Master Sword has it's own kind of magic to keep it in such a beautiful state and that only the chosen hero may be able to wield it.)

But I just wanted to add more to this chapter than just to copy off of the game. You know.

Plus the idea wouldn't leave me alone until I write it LOL

...

(5) I know how the inn looks like, and I know that it's multiple beds in a large room, and they don't have much of windows, but again I changed that.

I felt it would be a bit more appropriate to have separated rooms.

Now the big one that we see in the game is still there.

But there are smaller couple sized rooms around.

(Thus making the Inn much bigger and sophisticated)

~So in my story...

...Eldin Inn is a spot that most travelers go to when traveling to or from Castle Town. Since it's the only inn, in Kakariko.

Kakariko is most known for their hot springs, hospitality, horse tenders, and for their spiced foods and homemade baked goods and sweets.

Anyways it's much more populated (than in the actual game), and multiple residents of different towns such as castle town, like to go visit or sometimes take small vacations at Kakariko just to relax...

...

(6) I'm NOT saying Ralis is DUMB!

No! He's just thinking about just how fast Zelda was able to grasp her studies. She finished them before she turned 13 years old.

(She does hold the Triforce of Wisdom after all)

But also she was forced to, her mentors were really harsh if she didn't studied or finished within time of the deadline. Unlike Ralis, who was learning from his mother, and well, she was much nicer and patient with him.

So it did take longer...

.0o0.

($) Okay I wanted to add this considering Legend of Zelda is still made in Japan so I added a bit of Japanese in this:

Okaasan = Mom/Mother/Mamma (I'll let you guys decide)

...

Anyways that's pretty much it, I hope you guys liked it.
