Author's Note:

Greetings everyone. Here is Rule 4 and the spotlight for Mr Hendorff. If anyone remembered that I said I may feature the goose from Rule 13 in an upcoming chapter then you may be pleased to know that he returns in the next chapter. Thank you for your continued support for this story and I hope you enjoy this chapter.

I own nothing.

Rule 4-Do not call Mr Hendorff 'Cupcake'.

Hendorff was really getting tired of being called Cupcake.

Ever since the bar in Iowa Jim had been using that name for him. Coming from Jim it didn't bother Hendorff much and the security officer only really reacted to it for show since the Captain had long since stopped calling him that with any real intention to insult. It was a part of their friendship now, Jim called him Cupcake and Hendorff reacted that was how it worked. Unfortunately other crewmembers had started to use the nickname as well who didn't understand this, the Command Crew understood and never used the name but there were many who did. Finally he decided enough was enough and he made a plan.

Firstly he needed Jim's permission to start his idea but he was pretty sure that the Captain would be more than willing to agree. He met with Jim in the Mess Hall to put forward his idea.

"Captain, I was wondering if you would allow me to give members of the crew some new training?"

Jim's had a neutral expression but his eyes twinkled mischievously, "What kind of training?"

"Unarmed combat training."

Jim gave him a knowing smirk, "Would this have anything to do with crewmembers calling you Cupcake?"

Hendorff should have guessed that the Captain already knew about what was happening, he was a lot smarter than most people would guess and very little happened on the Enterprise without him finding out about it, usually because he was the one responsible. "It might do sir."

The other man grinned even wider, "Then I believe that giving crewmembers unarmed combat training is an excellent idea and you have my full approval."

Hendorff smiled, "Thank you sir. I'll make the necessary arrangements right away."

Now he had the Captain's full permission he went to prepare.

It took a few days to sort everything but he knew it would be worth it and Jim was more than happy to help with the arrangements. The crewmen that had been chosen naturally weren't told what they would be doing, just that they were required to meet Mr Hendorff in one of the training rooms at 1300 hours.

They all filed in on time to the training room and as soon as they were all there Hendorff cleared his throat to get their attention, "Now I'm sure all of you are wondering why you have been sent here so I shall explain. It has been decided that you should undergo some unarmed combat training." Here some of the crewmembers shuffled nervously, "We are doing this because the Captain and I believe that it would be good if several members of the crew are trained in unarmed combat even if they are rarely off ship since that is no guarantee that you will not have to defend yourselves at some point." This had been the excuse they had given to Spock but it did have a good deal of truth to it considering the situations the Enterprise could end up in. "So without any more formalities let's get started. Firstly I shall test you one by one to see your skill level. Mr Johnstone you'll be first, step onto the mat."

From here Hendorff had a lot of fun, he had a training fight with each of the people present to 'test' them and they all ended up flat on the floor a lot of times. He then moved onto demonstrating several simple moves using a 'volunteer' which meant that they ended up flat on the floor even more times. By the end of it the crewmembers were very bruised and tired and shuffled out the training room groaning as the completely unharmed Hendorff called cheerily after them, "Well done all of you and I'll see you next time where you can see if you can get 'Cupcake' on the floor."

At this the crewmembers all realised the real reason for their 'unarmed combat training' and decided that if this is what happened using the security officer's nickname wasn't worth it.

Someone added Rule 4 the next day and it only took one session of Hendorff's 'unarmed combat training' to get anyone breaking the rule to stop.

PS-So there you have it though it was a bit shorter than the others. Remember the goose returns next chapter so don't miss it.
