(Regina's Mansion around 12:30am)
Regina awoke to the sound of her doorbell. She looked over at her clock that set on her nightstand and noticed it was 12:35am. Who in their right mind would be dumb enough to wake her up this early? She was about to get up, but she felt something holding her down. She remembered Emma was in the bed sleeping with her, and felt that her arm was thrown across her stomach, her leg was spread across her legs and her head was resting on her chest. She couldn't see Emma's face because it was hidden behind blonde curls. Once again the doorbell ranged, and was soon followed by knocking. Regina was going to kill whoever was at her door if they woke up Emma. Untangling herself from the little girl, she quickly and quietly made her way to the door. Before she could open it the doorbell ranged again. Followed by louder more persistent knocking. Regina threw the door opened and answered "What!?" before she noticed who it was.
"Where's Emma?" Mary Margaret pushed her way into Regina's mansion.
"It's 12 in the morning Mary Margaret. She's upstairs asleep. Have you lost your mind?"
"I need to talk to her".
"Now? I'm sure you can come back when she is awake". Regina explained, becoming angry while trying to keep her voice down. She sighed in defeat as she heard a sleepy voice behind her.
"Regina, I woke up and you were gone".
"I'm sorry Sweet heart. Miss Blanchard showed up banging on my door demanding to speak with you". Emma looked towards the door and saw her mother quickly approaching her. She grabbed her hand softly and took her into the bathroom and shut the door. Regina thought to herself that if Mary Margaret thought that she was going to come into her house at 12 in the morning and have a private conversation with the little girl that she hours ago discovered went missing from her old school, she was sorely mistaken. She went upstairs and listened through the vent that was in her study that was connected to the downstairs bathroom.
"Mom, why are you here?" Regina gasped and quickly covered her mouth as she listened to the conversation. Why on earth did Emma call Mary Margaret Mom?
"I need you to come with me".
"But Moooom…" Emma whined. "I want to stay with Regina. Please. Pretty please".
"I sorry Sweet heart, but we must leave now".
Regina's heart broke as she heard Emma who was now crying. "But you promised I could stay the whole weekend, and you said I didn't have to come back home until Sunday. You promised".
Regina heard enough. She left the room to go back down stairs.
"I promise I will bring you back Emma. I promise. I just need you to wake up your father".
"My father?"
"Yes, I found him Emma. All you have to do is hug him, and he will start to remember".
"I can't just go up to a stranger and hug him Mom".
"He's not a stranger sweetie. He is your father. Ruby told me he goes to Grannies every morning with Katherine. We need a plan, something that will give you a reason to hug him, and kiss him, and he will remember who he is".
"That sounds weird Mom, but okay, I'll do it. But can I come back to Regina's afterwards?"
"Sure honey. I don't see why not. Now, hurry and pack your stuff".
"Okay". Emma replied sadly. She was not ready to leave Regina's home yet. But, her Mother needed her, so she had to go, she was the savior after all. Emma exited the bathroom and went down the hall to go up the stairs, she still had a tear stained face when she looked up at Regina who raised an Eyebrow at her.
"Is everything okay dear?"
"Yes. I have to go. Miss Blanchard is taking me home". Emma replied sadly, but continued up the stairs.
"Miss Blanchard may I speak with you in my office please?"
"Yes, but make it quick".
The two of them went inside the office and sat down. Regina on her side of the desk and Mary Margaret on the other. Regina stared at the other woman, who stared back. Neither woman broke eye contact. It was clear to Regina now that the woman who was sitting across from her now, was not Mary Margaret it was Snow White. But she didn't need to know that Regina knew she was Snow White. She also didn't need to know that Regina knew that Emma was her daughter, or that she heard some of the conversation she was having with Emma. Regina needed to know exactly what she was up to.
"Why are you coming to my home waking up myself as well as Emma, at this time of morning Mary Margaret?
"I don't see how that is any of your concern….Madam Mayor". Yeah, this surely was Snow White.
"It just seems a little strange dear, I'm worried for Emma's sake".
"If you must know, her Grandmother sent for her". Mary Margaret elaborated.
Regina knew that was a lie. Mary Margaret was up to something, and it had to be good if she was coming to get Emma in the middle of the night. She was concerned about Emma. Snow White was known for doing things that eventually got everyone else around her in trouble. Like when she thought it was a good idea to tell her mother about Daniel. That idiot always did things and never thought about the consequences. Regina tried to figure out what to do. She could take Emma away from Mary Margaret and away from Eva, but that would Emma, and she did not want that. She wouldn't hurt Emma. But she would use her to determine what Snow was up to. And to find out who all remembered who they really were.
"Funny you mention Emma's 'Grandmother' you see, Mr. Glass brought to my attention, that just around the same time Emma arrived here, a little girl named Emma Swan went missing from her elementary school". Regina showed Snow the newspaper Sidney gave her. "She looks like Emma, doesn't she? And she is the same age, same height…Same person wouldn't you say?".
"I don't understand". Snow looked at the newspaper and felt her heart drop. Something had to be done about Regina and fast.
"Let me explain. Emma fits this little girl's description to the T. She was last seen with a teen on a bike, my guess is August. I'm not letting you leave here with Emma".
"You can't…" Mary Margaret started. But was cut off by Regina who silenced her by putting up her hand.
"I truly care about Emma. She is a wonderful little girl. I want to know what is going on here. I want you and Eva, to meet me here tomorrow morning at 8:00AM in the morning. I will call Graham over, and together we will all get to the bottom of this, do myself and Emma a favor, and tell her she can stay, and that you will see her in the morning".
"Why don't I take Emma now, and I will come over in the morning, without her here?" Mary Margaret asked, annoyed and angry at Regina.
"Do you think I'm crazy? Please, see yourself out before I have you arrested".
Mary Margaret stood up glaring at Regina. She opened the door to the office and saw Emma standing there waiting on her.
"I've pack my bag, ready?"
"Emma sweetie". Mary Margaret bent down to talk to Emma, so she was looking in her eyes. "Remember what we talked about. How about we just do It tomorrow afternoon, okay? I'm coming over in the morning breakfast time to talk to Regina afterwards we will go do what we need to".
"Okay. I still can come back afterwards right?"
All Mary Margaret could think about was that Regina had to be destroyed. Emma wouldn't come back because Regina would no longer be here. "Yes sweetie, see you in a couple of hours".
Emma must not have told her Mom, about her super powers because she just heard a lie. They were not going to let her see Regina anymore. And she was not okay with that. Mary Margaret hugged her daughter and left the mansion. Emma dropped her bags and ran to Regina. Regina used to it by now, bent down to pick the little girl up. "Regina can we just watch T.V for a while. I'm not sleepy anymore".
"Sure. I'm not sleepy either".
