Thranduil let out a strangled cry, face adopting an infinite worry. He called out Kili's name frantically and ran from his throne, hurling himself onto the floor and throwing his head down. He sighed with relief as he saw Kili hanging from the ledge, gazing at him before helping him up swiftly. His relief quickly turned to anger. "WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING YOU CRAZY BASTARD?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONE. THAT WAS ALMOST YOU DOWN THERE KILI DURIN!" He shouted before looking down at the cavern and back at Kili again. "HOLY FUCKING SHIT, DID YOU JUST KILL HIM?! THAT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU DOWN THERE, KILI DURIN!" He screamed, panting, and pulling Kili into a passionate, long lasting kiss. "You crazy bastard. He's actually dead. That's blood on our hands." He kissed him more vigorously than before, wrapping his arms around the Dwarf, picked him up and crushed him to his chest.
Kili sighed in relief as he was pulled up from where he was hanging off of the edge, wincing as the king shouted at him but recuperated the kiss as soon as he could. He wrapped his legs around the elf's body, bringing them closer. He pulled away from Thranduil's second kiss, breathing heavily. "I don't care. I told you I would kill him." He said. "It's not the first person I've killed, and it certainly not going to be the last."
"I was going to run at him." Thranduil said breathlessly. He quirked an eyebrow and smirked. "You're sexy when you're murderous." He chuckled, leaning in to kiss Kili again.
Kili avoided the kiss and tapped their foreheads together instead. "Love." He said shortly, wrapping his arms around Thranduil's neck, eliminating any space between them.
Thranduil moved his head back a little and quirked a brow, "What?" He said with a chuckle, reveling in the warm feeling in the pit of his stomach that only closeness to Kili brought.
"Love. Âzyung means love." He said, moving his head to nuzzle his face into Thranduil's shoulder. "As I hung there, there was lots of regrets, not saying goodbye to Fili, Bilbo or Thorin, the argument with my mother before I left the blue mountains and not telling you what âzyung means. I.. I know that Khuzdul is supposed to be secret and sacred, but I don't care."
Thranduil smiled to himself. "That was beautiful." He said gently, kissing the dwarf again and tightening his grip. "I love you, Kili Durin. And I will until the day I die."
Kili smiled at the elf. "And I too love you, Thranduil Greenleaf, until Aulë decides my time is up," he said quietly. "Now, can we go see Falaroy? He needs a bed and a room." He smiled, closing his eyes.
"We can." Thranduil began, smile broadening. "We can see him all the time because he's my son!" he cried happily, bundling Kili up bridal style and making his way out of the room. "Do you think Daeron had family?"
Kili chuckled as he found himself being carried out of the chamber. "No. He was a wandering minstrel. His clothes were old and patched and he had few personal belongings with him. He either had no family or got away from them long ago." He said, twirling a finger through Thranduil's hair. "Falaroy, bath, then bed. That sounds like a brilliant plan, as long as you're joining me."
"Bed?! It's mid-day!" Thranduil said, smiling a little too broadly. "I'll be joining you. Make no mistake about that." He spoke suavely, gazing into his lover's eyes. "Well, apart from the bath bit...and I can't help but feel a little sorry for him. He only wanted you."
"I intend on spending most of the day with you and Falaroy, not five minutes." He chuckled. "I warned him. Dwarfs are very protective of their property. His fault to try and come between us. Not only that, he would have tried to blackmail you to get me, then when you said no, he would go running to the council about what he saw. They would have taken Falaroy from you." He frowned.
"I said a little! And I'm your property?" Thranduil set Kili down as they reached the end of the path.
"Yes." Kili said, walking out through the doorway and out into the corridor. "Yes you are." Kili walked down the passage smirking, resisting the urge to turn and look back at the king.
Grasping at Kili's shirt and just missing, Thranduil chuckled softly. "I must say, I quite like that idea." He moved again to grab at the Dwarf, moving leaning too far foward as Kili escaped him and falling flat on the floor.
"I'm glad as it's true." He smirked, before hearing a loud thud from behind him. Kili span around to see Thranduil lying on the ground. Taking in the situation, he burst into laughter, holding a hand out to help him off of the floor.
Thranduil used his elbows to support himself and smiled up at Kili. "You're trouble." He chuckled, dismissing Kili's hand. "I'd never be in this situation, were it not for you."
"And I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. Isn't today just a world of randomcircumhappistance?" He smirked, leaning against the wall.
"Very happy circumstances." Thranduil said fondly, easing himself up. "I wonder if Falaroy would ever call me Ada." He said curiously, dusting himself off.
"He already has. Then he asked me if I was going to be his new Ada too, found then ate your sweets and proceeded to levitate out of the door and into the fountain." He chuckled.
"He didn't call me Ada." He quirked a brow, smiling a little and picking up his pace. "I'd love him to though."
"We're not doing this again. I am not running to keep up with you." He protested, staying at his previous pace. "And I think he will. Give him time."
"Hmm? Oh, I'm sorry." Thranduil said obliviously, slowing down a little for Kili. "And I will. He needs it. I want to be a good father to him. We need to prove the council wrong."
"Just do what you did with Legolas, and you'll be fine." He said reassuringly, threading his hand into Thranduil's. "They are going to be repentant by the end." He smirked.
"They will. And I trust you to care for him well enough in my absence." They came to the room that Falaroy had been allocated and stopped outside the door. "I dread to think what the council will do should I not return."
"You'll return, otherwise I'll kill you myself." He muttered, stopping opposite to Thranduil. "And if they try anything, I will shout at them too!" He warned, leaning against the door frame
"That's my Ki'." Thranduil chuckled, ruffling Kili's hair gently. He opened the door to see Falaroy and his carer happily playing, before the Elfling noticed Thranduil and ran up to him to hug his leg, crying his name. Sweeping him up, Thranduil thanked the other Elf sincerely.
Kili smiled and move to the side as the Elf swept past him, closing the door as he walked into the room. He walked over to the bed and jumped onto it, watching Thranduil talk in a low whisper to Falaroy who smiled.
Thranduil began to explain gently to the Elfling that Kili would be looking after him for a while, and that as soon as he came back they would all do something fun together. He also told Falaroy that he would be getting his own room with a big bed and lots of toys, which had him yelling with happiness and hugging Thranduil tightly, and then jumping over to Kili when he could. The older Elf sat next to them and reclined on the bed. "This could be his room." He said thoughtfully, whilst Falaroy was pre-occupied.
"Okay monkey, I missed you too." Kili chuckled, hugging Falaroy back. "Right, first question. Did the man that was looking after you give you sweets?" When Falaroy shook his head, he sighed in relief, poking the child gently in the stomach. "Good, too many sweets will make you like Bombur." He smiled.
Thranduil tried to wrap his head around this joke, before realising that he didn't know who Bombur was and just smiled gently. He picked at a loose thread on his robe and got lost in his thoughts.
Kili rolled his eyes and looked over to the elf. Putting his finger to his lips, he gestured to Falaroy, and counted down with his fingers. When he reached nought they launched themselves onto Thranduil.
Thranduil could do nothing but emitt a strangled yelp as he was smothered by the two, chuckling as he began tickling Falaroy and stopped to whisper something into his ear. They both turned to Kili then, and Thranduil mercilessly began tickling anywhere he could find.
Kili chuckled at the two elves, smirking at the squirming elfling. Quirking an eyebrow as Thranduil whispered into Falaroy's ear, his face fell as they both turned and smirked at him. Oh hell no. Hahaha "AHH NO!" Kili laughed, trying to wriggle out of the elf's grasp.
Falaroy also launched an attack, beating his fists on the Dwarf lightly and chuckling. Thranduil didn't stop. He continued to jab his hands delicately anywhere that would urge a reaction. Sides, stomach, back of the knees.
"Okay, okay!" Kili laughed, squirming around on the bed under the onslaught of tickling from the two. "I surrender! Argh I surrender!" He cried, trying to move Thranduil's hands away from the back of his knees, moving right into the trap of Falaroy who set to bashing his stomach.
"Haha. Learned your lesson?" Thranduil chuckled, settling by the side of Kili and using an elbow for support as Falaroy continued.
"Yes! YES!" He laughed rolling away from Falaroy and straight into Thranduil. "I surrender! No more I beg you" he pleaded as Falaroy moved closer.
"Very well." Thranduil laughed again, gesturing for Falaroy to nestle between the two and draping an arm over him and Kili. "So, what are we going to do today?" He said with a broad grin.
Kili smirked at the elf. "I thought we went through this?" He chuckled, poking Falaroy in the side gently. "We need a bed, toys, write to Bofur, food, bath, bed. Simples."
Thranduil made a noise of disgust. "That's so much to do. Can't we just...not?" He sighed, tilting his head back.
"But...toys!" Falaroy pouted. "We can play!"
"Eh..." Thranduil replied with apathy, smacking a pillow onto his face.
"No we can't just not. How do you rule a kingdom with that attitude?" He laughed. "I'll get you some toys, don't worry Falaroy." He smiled, moving his leg to nudge Thranduil's.
"I rule a Kingdom with this attitude by inheritance." Thranduil huffed, nudging Kili back with a booted foot. "We can't get toys until we've written to Bofur if he's making them. The bed will be a little easier to deal with."
"How you get stuff done, I will never know." He laughed as Falaroy's feet hit both of them.
"Bed and toys! Please Thrandy? 'Li will take me to get toys!" He asked, poking the both of them.
"Yes âzyung, he needs stuff today really."
"I will. I promise. But can I nap first?" He begged, pouting at the Elfling and bringing out his best puppy dog eyes. He intensified it when Falaroy shook his head. "Pleeeeaasee?"
Kili quirked an eyebrow. "How are you tired? If I let you nap, what's in it for us?" He smirked, bringing an arm around Falaroy.
Thranduil let a long, tiresome sigh escape him, concluding it with a smile. "I'll get up. And I'll get you a bed." He said,
"Good Thranduil," Kili chuckled, sitting up on the bed. "Come on Falaroy." He said, pulling the elfling up off of the bed.
"Take care, melamin." Thranduil said softly to Kili, smiling at him before moving to get a hug from Falaroy. "And you, trouble." He chuckled, pinching the Elfling's nose gently.
"You too Âzyung." He smiled as Thranduil stood up. "Come on you, let's go see if we can find you some toys and a reasonable raven."
Thranduil watched the two make their way out of the room before collapsing back on the bed. He hadn't meant to fall asleep. He had meant to lie down and figure out who to talk to about a bed. This was why he awoke with a feeling of guilt about fifteen minutes later. Get off the bed. Now. But it's so warm and comfortable... Now, Thranduil Greenleaf. Bleh. He slowly traipsed from the bed and yawned sluggishly, checking himself in the mirror briefly before finding his way out of the room. Now who makes beds around here?...
