I don't own Skyrim or Percy Jackson and the Olympians
The air smelled heavily of pine as Nokholvir flew just above the forest canopy, literally flying under the government's radar. Percy had given specific details and directions regarding the rebel's camp, or 'Demigod Protection Militia' as they called themselves. Seeing as all the demigods who fought weren't rebelling against anything, just protecting themselves.
The chilly winter wind, although frigid to most, felt like nothing more than a cool fall breeze to Rorik. Putting himself out and genuinely messing with the military, for the third time, mixed with the cool wind and sickening feel of having everything about his quest wrong pulled Rorik closer and closer towards the relief of sleep.
Rorik's eye opened. He was on a high cliff on the peak of a mountain. In front of him stood the gray stone fortress from his dream. A strong wind blew and knocked him over. Apparently, unlike the last dream of the stone fortress, he could move. Rorik stood himself up and began to walk towards the castle-esq building. The conditions made the 50ft walk to the structure seem comparable to a marathon. At its deepest, the snow was a few feet deep and Rorik found himself gasping for breath because of the extreme altitude.
As he reached the first step in a small flight of stairs up to the building the men in grey robes stepped out again. Like the last dream, they proceeded to walk to the edge of the cliff and shout.
"Fin miraad mahfaeraak bex, Kinbok !" Which Rorik's mind automatically translated to 'The doorway is always open, Leader.'
Rorik didn't know what would happen if the men in grey spotted him, or if they would even register his existence seeing as it was a dream, so he waited for theme to go back inside their fortress. Once alone, Rorik walked over to the edge of the cliff. When he looked around, everything seemed fairy normal. Except for one thing. Off in the distance there was a mountain with flat top. On the flat top of the mountain bright lights mountaintop felt like it radiated hatred and negativity.
All of a sudden Rorik's world began to become illuminated in a soft, bright light.
His eyes opened up to the real world, with him lying on Nokholvir's back. Erin's head rested on his shoulder. Her level breathing proved that she was in a peaceful slumber. So were the two sons of Hephaestus, and Nico seemed to have vanished.
'He probably shadow traveled ahead to tell the base.' Percy glanced over and saw that Rorik had woken up.
The Son of Poseidon chuckled some. "Ya know, seeing you two really gives me a sense of Deja Vu"
"What do you mean ?" Asked Rorik, trying to play the ignorance card.
It clearly didn't work on the veteran demigod. "You know what I mean. Pretending to be just friends but acting like a couple." Another smile appeared on Percy's face as he remembered his teenage years. He turned to face Rorik, his face more serious now. "It took me four quests, getting blown up by a volcano, and then a war that nearly ended in the destruction of mankind for me to admit that I loved the girl who is now my wife. And we demigods live very dangerous lives, now more than ever. So first chance you get, tell her. Don't make the same mistake I did and risk dying without her knowing how you feel. Considering what I've seen so far, I'm willing to bet she loves you too."
'Loves…. Yeah, that sounds right.' though Rorik. 'I do love her'
Rorik opened his mouth to reply but anything he would have said died in his mouth. Percy was right. There was a very real possibility that he could died. Hades, the prophecy even said that unless HE made the right choices that they would die.
Nokholvir began to descend into the forest, prompting Percy to look over the edge to check their location. "Looks like we're at the camp." he said. He looked again gestured for Rorik to wake Erin up, so he did. Rorik gently shook the blonde. Her eyes drifted open and met his. For a moment everything seemed to still. Each only able to focus on the other's eyes. Her's were beautiful, a soft sky blue.
Then the moment was shattered as Ale fell out of the saddle, landing with a resounding 'THUD'.
"We're here !" Declared Percy. The man jumped out of the saddle and bowed sarcastically. "May I welcome you to the Demigod Protection Militia Camp. Or as we like to call it, Camp Olympus.
Hey guys. I am so so so so so so so so so so so sorry about how back I've been about updating. I've been insanely busy and baseball has started up so i have games and practices. So between Airsoft, Paintball, Baseball practice, Baseball games, going to the rock climbing gym, going for hikes, school, and my life I've had no time to write. But I'm trying. I'll probably have another chapter up around 15th-18th since I'll have no time to write this weekend.
