"Din din!" Lena clapped, she put her finger gently against the class, and "Bye Bye Goldy!" she smiled and ran down the hall to see Logan,

"Lovely pictures," Mitchum commented after Lena left the room,

"I love having pictures of them together," I smiled, "My house was covered in pictures growing up and I loved it."

"Does Logan live here with you now?" he asked, motioning to a few of Logan's shirts hanging on the dresser,

"Mostly on weekends, I don't want him to miss out on any more of Lena's life." I explained,

"You could have called the boy." He said, his eyes tightening. I bit my lip, I figured this is where this visit would go,

"I tried to reach him after we broke up, and obviously he wasn't interested in talking to me and changed his number."

"It's just a coincidence that you were writing a story on him now three years later?"

"A happy coincidence," I commented,

"Hey, everything okay in here?" Logan appeared in the door way, his knuckles white with a tight grip on the door frame,

"Yes, everything is fine." Mitchum smiled and looked at me,

"Ace?"

"Everything is fine, your dad likes the pictures." I looked at the bulletin board,

"Okay, well dinners ready." Logan gestured to the kitchen, Mitchum nodded and left as I moved to leave,

"Is everything really okay?"

"He questioned why I didn't tell you earlier."

"Can I please kick him out now?"

"No! He hasn't done anything outright rude or that passive aggressive yet and Lena is so excited to have a grandparent that hasn't referred to her as a mistake…while in hearing distance. He drank chocolate milk Logan!"

"Fine," Logan grumbled and I took his hand and led him into the kitchen,

"Rory, I didn't know you could cook."

"I don't really, Logan is quite the chef." I smiled at him as Logan cut into the lasagna, I got Lena's chicken fingers and French fries and got out precut carrots for her,

"You don't like lasagna?" Mitchum asked her,

"She's three, of course she doesn't like lasagna." Logan dropped at plate in front of him,

"Thank you." He replied, I rolled my eyes and handed Logan a glass of root beer and I brought myself a coke and sat at the table,

"Do you want help?" Logan offered Lena, she nodded and he cut up her chicken fingers for her, Mitchum looked at him surprised before digging into his dinner

"This is very good Logan," he commented,

"Thank…you?" Logan said though it sounded like a question,

"You're welcome," he smiled. We continued dinner in a somewhat awkward silence, the only thing that cut through is was our angel talking about Goldy, her sleepover at Auntie Honour's and Cousin Katie. Mitchum seemed to be interested asking her question about Goldy and how much fun she had at Honour's house, it wasn't long before she was settled in her room with her leapfrog with the earphones in.

"So what is this dinner really about Dad?" Logan asked, while stirring his cup of tea,

"To meet my granddaughter, Lena."

"To manipulate me, no doubt." He scoffed,

"Not everything is about you Logan."

"I know it's not! It's about Lena and I don't want you coming by once and a blue moon confusing her and thinking it's her fault that you're not around."

"Logan," I said softly, resting my arm, "Lena could hear." He took a deep breath

"Logan, I do want to discuss setting up a trust fund for Lena."

"No. Not happening, a trust fund with you will have strings attached."

"You don't want her to have security when she's older?"

"Of course I do, and we," Logan gestured to the two of us, "Will provide it for her. With no help from you or Richard and Emily."

"They haven't arranged a trust fund for Lena?"

"No, they're less than pleased with how she came into this world. I haven't spoken to them in the past month and I don't plan to." I replied, "I have set up a savings account for her and have put some money into it each month. My mom put in a thousand dollars each year, which will be cut down soon as she's having a baby."

"Your mother is pregnant?"

"Yes she is, why?" I demanded, crossing my arms. He could say whatever he wanted about me but bringing my mom or daughter into it is grounds for my claws are coming out,

"I just didn't know she had gotten married, I assumed Emily would have it be quite the affair."

"She's not married." I replied bluntly,

"Oh, my apologies." He inclined his head toward me, I shrugged.

"So that's all you came her for, to set up a trust fund and meet Lena?"

"Yes," he said,

"But?" Logan sighed and crossed his arms,

"I want to speak to you about your outburst at dinner the other night. You know that you have been groomed to take over the company Logan, we can't cut you off you are taking over the company whether you want to or not, and that is not up for discussion."

"So you came here to tell me that I don't have a choice about my life?" Logan demanded,

"You have been raised to take over the company, I figured you would care more about job security more than ever since you have Lena to think of."

"You don't care about Lena at all, do you?" Logan said, his face flushing, "You're using her to get me to stay with the company. First your health issues, now you're using my daughter?"

"You have responsibilities Logan!" Mitchum insisted,

"To my daughter not to you or the god damn company!"

"She needs security in her life Logan, being CEO of Huntzburger Publishing will provide that for her. Say whatever you like about me Logan, how apparently I'm a villain and wasn't there for you or Honour but you kids never went without anything."

"Except a father!" Logan roared, and the apartment fell silent, "I got to get out of here." Logan grabbed his coat,

"Logan, no!" I grabbed his arm,

"Let go Ace," he shook off my hand and walked out of the door,

"Get out Mitchum," I sighed as I walked into my apartment, "If this is a company matter talk about it at the office."

"I do want to get to know Lena," he approached the door, and I handed him his jacket.

"Get to know your son first."
