Hi guys, Kopaka777 here. I've got a few things to say.
So, I've noticed that there has been a lot less reviews for this story lately. It used to be 4 or 5 a chapter, now it's only about 2. Are you guys not enjoying the story anymore? Please tell me, because if you do, I can fix the problem and make the story more enjoyable for you. I don't care if you leave a negative review, just tell me what I need to fix.
Second, the side stories for the IDSG will begin being published soon. I've written about half of the first chapter, and so far, it looks pretty good.
The last thing I want to say is that I adjusted Orga's power so it was three times Kyodo's level, not four, as that seemed a bit much.
So, without further ado, let's go!
\
General POV
Glae ducked as a laser shot over her head. She gripped her gun tightly and shot a few blasts of energy at the mini dragon, causing it to back away slightly.
The Exceed gritted her teeth. There's so many of them! She thought as she fired off a small barrage of magic bullets from her gun. Is it even possible to defeat them?
She looked up at the sky. Kyodo, please…win!

Kyodo POV
I leapt back as an explosion occurred, caused by my magic-enhanced fist slamming into my targets face, causing him to be slammed into the ground.
I scanned the dust carefully. Who was that? I thought. I had seen him fighting Sting and Rogue and had rushed to help, but in the process I hadn't been able to see his face.
"Kyodo!" A familiar voice cried out. I span around to see…
…Yukino.
I froze in shock. "Yukino…" I said quietly, the sight of my best friend shocking me.
The second night of the tournament flashed through my head. I had failed to protect her…
"Kyodo, look out!" she screamed, snapping me back to reality, and I span around to see a bolt of blue lightning fly towards me. I ducked and it smashed into a wall, creating an explosion.
I turned to see a figure walking out of the dust cloud created by my attack. "Who are you?" I shouted at the figure.
The figure laughed. "Well, this is a surprise. I didn't expect you to come here…Kyodo."
The figure emerged from the fog, revealing themself to be…
…me?
Wait, WHAT?!
My eyes widened in shock and I stared at the newcomer in shock. This can't be…But there was no mistaking it-the blue eyes, the black hair…
The newcomer was me.
"W-who are you?" I stuttered.
'Me' grinned. "I am you, Kyodo."
"W-what?" I said, but my thoughts were cut off as Rogue appeared above 'me'.
"Shadow Dragon's Nightmare Breath!" The tornado of shadows span towards 'me', but 'I' moved to the side quickly and smirked.
"Now, now, Rogue, it'll take more than to defeat me." 'I' said.
"Kyodo!" A voice shouted. I turned to see Yukino. "Don't trust him! He might be your future self, but he's pure evil! He brought the dragons here!"
I froze. What? The future version of myself…Future Kyodo…had caused all of this?
I turned to face my future self, who grinned madly. "Well, this should be interesting. Three Dragon Slayers against me." He cracked his neck from side to side, blue lightning crackling around his hands.
"Lightning…" I whispered.
Future Kyodo heard me and grinned. "Oh, jealous, are we? Don't worry; you'll get this power soon. You'll obtain it once you kill Laxus."
My eyes widened. "What?"
"Kyodo…" I turned to see Yukino. "In the future…he kills Laxus."
I froze in shock. "No…"
"Yes." Said Future Kyodo, who was grinning. "You kill Laxus. And you enjoy it too."
I was shaking. "No…I would never…"
"Kill? Hate to break it to you, but you're going to end up killing a lot of people. Including your friends."
I shook my head. "You're…you're lying."
"Who do you think possessed Kagura, Rogue and Minerva? That was me. Unfortunately, you, Sting and Gajeel thwarted me."
Rogue spoke up. "I was possessed by shadows. You don't have any control over them."
"Ah, I was hoping you'd say that." Future Kyodo said, still grinning. He reached into his pocket and pulled something out. It was a small medallion, with a button in the centre.
"This is a Shadow Coin. With it, I can turn myself into shadows and possess people."
Rogue's eyes widened. "But…where did you get that?" he asked.
"You gave it to me." Future Kyodo said.
I looked from Rogue back to Future Kyodo. How…how is this happening? That can't be me! I would never kill anybody!
"So…you possessed Kagura…" Yukino said. "…and…"
Future Kyodo grinned. "Looks like you're all smart cookies! Yes, I tried to kill you, but, my past self got in the way." He said, jerking a finger at me.
I stared in shock. He tried to kill Yukino…
Future Kyodo started laughing at the expressions of shock on our faces. "Bwahaha! You all look so funny!" He almost doubled over laughing, but managed to control himself.
Then he turned to face me. "Now, you-stay out of this fight. It's a real pain if you get killed."
He started advancing towards Rogue, Yukino and Sting, but I snapped out of it and ran in front of the trio, stretching out my arms.
Future Kyodo looked ticked off. "Move, Kyodo. I haven't got all day here. Pretty soon Dragneel will show up and demand we fight again."
I shook my head. "I'm not letting you hurt my friends."
Future Kyodo thought about this statement for a moment, then extended his hand. "Join me."
I blinked in surprise. "What?"
Future Kyodo grinned. "Join me. Eventually, you're going to merge with me due to the time lines being corrupted. If you join me, you can become king of this world."
I shook my head immediately. "No."
Future Kyodo raised an eyebrow. "No?" he said.
"I'm not going…to abandon my friends. They're more important to me than power."
Future Kyodo thought about this, and then he grinned. "Well, if you join me…
…I can bring your mother back."
\
I froze. "What?"
Future Kyodo smirked. "I know a way to reverse Iced Shell…to turn the ice back into the caster. If you join me, I'll revive Ur."
I was unable to move, unable to speak.
Ur could be resurrected.
I had spent countless hours poring over ancient scriptures, trying to find a way to reverse Iced Shell, but had always come up short.
But if what he said was true…
I could see her.
The mother I had always longed for, craved for…I could meet her. I would be able to feel her embrace me.
Comfort me.
Love me.
Future Kyodo's hand was extended out to me, and he was grinning madly. "So what do you say, Kyodo?"
"Kyodo, don't listen to him!" Sting roared, but I could barely hear him
I would be able to see her again.
In my mind's eye, I saw her hugging me, holding me tight within her warm, loving embrace.
"Kyodo…" she whispered into my ear.
"No."
My eyes widened and I slammed my fist into Future Kyodo's fist, smashing his nose. He backed up, holding his bleeding nose.
He stared at me. "You…"
I clenched my shaking fist. "When people die...they have to stay dead. No matter how much it hurts…" a tear rolled down my cheek. "…we have to accept it and move on."
I looked up at my future self, who stared at me in shock. "I can't change that."
Future Kyodo was frozen in shock, but then, a look of fury came over his features. "You foolish-"
BOOM!
I covered my eyes as a something crashed into Future Kyodo, creating an explosion. His head emerged from the dust and he looked around. "Who did that?" he shouted.
"Me." We all turned, to see none other than…
…Orga.
The Lightning God Slayer jumped down from the roof he was standing on, and walked over to us. He glanced at me and said. "Nicely said, kid." Then he turned to face Future Kyodo, who had completely emerged from the dust. "So, you're Kyodo's future self? You look different."
Future Kyodo gritted his teeth in anger. "I am different, you buffoon!" he shouted.
Orga sighed. "And you've got a temper too." He raised a hand as Future Kyodo rushed him, and a bolt of black lightning shot out and struck Future Kyodo, sending him flying into a wall.
He got up and charged again. "You cannot hope to defeat m-" suddenly, a weird substance appeared around his feet, and he was thrown back again.
"Is that a challenge, Kyodo?" We all turned to see Minerva walk towards us, a smirk on her face.
I looked from her to the Lightning God Slayer. "What are you two…doing here?"
Orga grinned and cracked his knuckles. "We couldn't just let you lot have all the fun now, could we?"
"Besides," I turned to see Minerva smirk and glance at Future Kyodo. "I'm quite interested in this person over here."
Future Kyodo scowled as he got up, but then a smirk came over his face. "Well, well. The five strongest mages of Sabertooth…this should be interesting.
"Make that si-" I threw my arm out in front of Yukino to stop her talking, and I shook my head.
"Kyodo?" she asked.
"Please, leave this to us. This might get messy." I said.
Yukino looked unsure, but she nodded and ran off.
I turned to face Future Kyodo, who spread his arms wide, grinning. "Well, come on then! Let's begin!"
I looked around at my comrades. They all looked determined, and ready to fight.
Sting grinned. "Let's go, everyone!"
And then we charged.
General POV
As they charged, Future Kyodo did likewise, blue lightning crackling around his fists. He came face to face with Orga, who threw a punch that was enhanced with black lightning. Future Kyodo threw his own punch, and the attacks collided. The opponents pushed against each other, causing the earth to crack at their feet.
Future Kyodo grinned. "You can't beat me, Orga."
Orga smirked. "I don't need to."
Future Kyodo blinked. "Eh?" then he saw something out of the corner of his eye.
A huge statue, decorated with intricate designs, was floating above him. His eyes widened. "Oh-"
"Yagdo Rigora!" Minerva shouted, and the statue exploded, engulfing Future Kyodo.
When he emerged, he glanced around for Minerva. "Where are yo-" He frowned as he realized his left leg would not move. He looked down and his eyes widened when he saw there were chains of ice around it.
"Ice-Make: D-Cannon!" A voice shouted. Future Kyodo turned to see his past self fire the powerful ice cannon he was holding. With no time to dodge, the attack slammed into Future Kyodo with tremendous force, destroying the chains and sending him flying through the air, creating a crater when he landed.
Future Kyodo groaned as he stood up, looking over at the Minerva, Orga and Kyodo. "Well, I guess you three aren't called the Chaos Gods for nothing." He cracked his neck from side to side. "But I think that's enough playing around."
He smirked as he picked up a noise and span around to see Rogue and Sting, their respective elements swirling around their fists, charging towards him. He raised his hand, almost lazily, and fired a massive beam of blue lightning, which engulfed the duo.
"GAAH!" The White Dragon roared.
"Sting! Rogue!" Kyodo shouted.
Future Kyodo turned towards the Chaos Gods and smirked, then raised his hand. "Lightning Ice Dragon's Barrage!" several bolts of blue lightning shot out of his hand then rained down on the Sabertooth mages, cutting their skin where it touched.
All three mages winced in pain, and Future Kyodo took an opportunity to charge at them in his lightning form. He flew at Orga and slammed him in the chest, sending him flying, but then something slammed into him. The Dragon Slayer was thrown a few metres away, but looked up and saw Rogue rushing him, in his Shadow Drive.
He smirked. "Really, Rogue? You think you have enough strength to beat me!" he began to breathe in.
"Who says he was trying to beat you?" a voice said. Future Kyodo turned around to see Sting, his fist clad in light.
"White Dragon's Punch!" he roared.
Future Kyodo had no time to dodge, so the attack hit him right in the nose, causing him to lose balance and be thrown back. Rogue flew up behind him and began using Future Kyodo's body as a punch bag, delivering blow after blow to the Dragon Slayer's back.
Future Kyodo gritted his teeth. "Enough!" he roared. He swung his arm around, trying to hit Rogue, but the Shadow Dragon Slayer ducked.
Sting saw the opportunity and charged light in between his palms. "White Dragon's Holy Ray!" he shouted. Beams of white light shout out and crashed into Future Kyodo, who roared in pain and anger.
The Dragon Slayer leapt up and swung his hands through the air. "Lightning Ice Dragon's Wheel!" he shouted, as he began to turn in a cartwheel. His speed increased until all they could see was a rapidly spinning wheel of blue lightning. The wheel then landed on the ground and shot towards them. Rogue and Sting leapt out of the way, missing it by centimetres. The wheel shot towards Kyodo, Orga and Minerva, but they were ready.
"Ragdo Swassigora!" Minerva shouted, throwing a huge spikey circle at the wheel. The two attacks collided, pushing against each other.
But Minerva wasn't alone.
Kyodo rushed to the side of the wheel of lightning and ice and breathed in. "Ice Dragon's Roar!" he shouted. The breath attack slammed into the centre of the wheel, causing it to lose balance and allowing Minerva's attack to overpower it, resulting in an explosion.
Kyodo backed up from the dust cloud as Orga charged an attack. "Lightning God's Giga Bolt!" He roared, raising his hand. A massive bolt of black lightning shot down into the cloud of dust, creating an even larger explosion. All five mages backed up, but the three Dragon Slayers were using their enhanced vision to search for any sign of their enemy.
They didn't have to wait long.
"GAAH!" A voice roared. The dust cloud suddenly dispersed to reveal Future Kyodo, cut, bruised, and generally injured. He glared at the mages. "You…I'll make you pay!"
Sting sighed. "Knock it off, Kyodo. You can't win against five of us."
Future Kyodo looked furious. "How dare you…"
Rogue stepped forward. "It's over, Kyodo."
Future Kyodo gritted his teeth. "I'll show you…" he said, shaking. "I'LL SHOW YOU ALL!" with that, he transformed into lightning again and charged at the five mages.
But this time, he was fast. Before Kyodo knew it, his future self was behind him, and he delivered a vicious kick to his past self.
"GAAH!" The Ice Dragon Slayer yelled. But Future Kyodo wasn't done. He span around and flew at Orga so fast the Lightning God Slayer barely had time to blink before Future Kyodo slammed him in the gut, grinning at the satisfying sound of bones crunching. Then he span around at Minerva, who was firing wave matter at him, but he dodged and weaved through the attacks until he was right up in Minerva's face. Then he grabbed her by the face and slammed her into the ground, dragging her through the pavement as he flew along towards Sting and Rogue. Then he slammed Minerva into the Twin Dragons and threw them into a wall.
He grinned at his handiwork and flew up. "Prepare for your judgement, tigers!" he roared. Then he let loose a barrage of blue lightning, which slammed into the mages and tore up the ground so intensely that the resulting dust cloud lasted for several minutes.
When it did, it revealed all five mages lying on the ground, looking half-dead. Future Kyodo grinned manically and flew down so he was right in front of Orga.
"Orga Nanagear." He said triumphantly. "Sabertooth's strongest mage. Look at you now. Lying in the rubble, broken and defeated. Oh, this is a wonderful sight indeed!" he said. "But enough talking. It's time for you to be finished." He raised his hand, which crackled with blue lightning.
Suddenly, Orga's arm grabbed his leg, causing Future Kyodo's eyes to widen. Orga looked up at him and grinned. "Who do you think you're talking to? I'm not losing…that easy…"
And then he let his magic loose.
Future Kyodo roared in pain as Orga engulfed him in a column of black lightning, which cut and tore at him. Future Kyodo attempted to break free of Orga, but the Lightning God Slayer held him firmly.
"LET ME GO!" He roared, delivering a kick to Orga's face, which made Orga lose focus and stop the attack. The Dragon Slayer stepped back shakily, his clothes even more burnt and shredded.
But his lesson wasn't over yet.
A massive wall of wave matter came out of nowhere and slammed into him, sending him flying through the air as he roared in pain. As he did, multiple blasts of ice, shadow and light flew out and slammed into him, causing him further agony. When he finally landed, he was cut and bruised everywhere, and he was sure he had broken a bone or two.
He looked up and saw Sting, Rogue, Orga, Minerva and Kyodo looking down on him. They were battered and bruised, but the look of confidence on their faces told him they were far from finished.
"You…" he croaked, trying to stand up.
Kyodo sighed. "Are we really going to have this argument again?"
Future Kyodo growled in anger. "How dare you…how dare you ruin my plans…"
Kyodo face palmed. "Not again." He groaned, causing Sting and Orga to grin and Rogue to smile slightly.
Future Kyodo was furious. "You think this is some sort of game?!" He bellowed.
Rogue's eyes narrowed. "What I don't think is a game is when someone hurts my comrades." He said.
Future Kyodo stood up shakily. "I am far from finished!" he bellowed.
Sting had a sympathetic expression. "Kyodo, you don't have to do this. Everyone here has experienced pain. We can help you."
Future Kyodo snapped. "I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP!"
With that, he charged at Sting, but was knocked back. Future Kyodo looked up and saw a vine of pink ice dotted with roses protruding from the ground.
Future Kyodo's eyes widened. That is…
"You're not alone." Said Kyodo, his eyes glowing pink.
Future Kyodo almost spat in fury. "I-DON'T-NEED-YOUR-HELP! I will succeed!" he roared.
Kyodo closed his eyes and shook his head. "No. You won't."
Future Kyodo was stunned. "What?"
Kyodo opened his eyes, which were full of determination. "It's our future…"
He charged towards his future self. "AND WE'LL FIGHT FOR IT!"
