Chapter 29 - Ginny
Ginny could not believe her eyes as she opened the flap of the tent. She had returned early, but when she felt no charms or wards to block her entrance, she figured the couple probably left someplace else or was really quick. Wrong. She clearly walked in at the wrong moment and froze in horror as she watched one of her best friends, Hermione, being fucked by the bastard Snape.
"OH MY MERLIN! HERMIONE EXPLAIN! NOW!"
"Oh god, Ginny!" Hermione quickly fought to pull a blanket up and around them. Severus helped her and grabbed his wand at the same time.
When the redhead caught sight of the man with his wand, she immediately raised hers and went pale knowing he was clearly the stronger wizard.
"No!" Hermione said as she pushed Severus' raised arm down.
"Hermione, she cannot know. She needs to be obliviated."
"Please don't. I need someone else here who doesn't constantly bash you or profess their desire to seek revenge on you." When she noticed him open his mouth to speak, she quickly continued. "Even if I can't tell her everything, let me at least explain a little?"
Severus frowned as Hermione pulled his face to look at her. His eyes glanced back and forth between hers before he finally sighed and gave a small nod.
A huge sigh of relief left her. "Thank you." Hermione said with a small smile and chaste kiss. When she looked up, she noticed Ginny looked a little green. "Why don't you have a seat, Ginny?" Hermione asked pointing to the small kitchen table close to her cot. Ginny backed up and pulled out a chair to sit in, facing them with her wand still raised.
"Hermione, he… he killed Dumbledore!"
She is not to know about Dumbledore or my loyalty to the Order.
What is she allowed to know about then, Severus?
The Soul Bond, but nothing more. It isn't safe.
Hermione nodded at Severus before turning to face Ginny again. She chose to ignore addressing the statement Ginny said. "He is my soul mate, my other half."
"But he's evil! How could someone as nice and good as you be 'the other half' of someone so dark and evil!?"
"Ginny! Severus is not evil!"
Severus cleared his throat. She turned to look at him with a frustrated scowl, "Well you're not." She returned her attention to Ginny. "There is so much more to this story than I can tell you right now, Ginny. I know it's asking for a lot, but I need you to promise you will not tell anyone, not even Harry, that Severus is my husband. At this moment in time, it would be our death sentence if anyone of either side found out right now."
"Hermione I… he… you-"
"Do you honestly think I could have a soul mate as evil as you think he is? Ginny, I know it's not fair, but you are just going to have to trust me when I say that Severus is a good man and that my connection with him is something so pure and good, that no 'evil person' would ever be able to be a part of one."
"He murdered Dumbledore! He betrayed the Order!"
"His spell did kill Dumbledore. And he hasn't betrayed me."
That's enough Hermione
She turned to face him and gave a small sigh, "Fine."
Ginny watched the two sitting so comfortable together. She watched as Snape's hand caressed Hermione's arm, and she recognized it was done without conscious thought. Ginny replayed the words in her mind and she just knew that there was a hidden meaning to Hermione's wording. The young Weasley trusted Hermione with her life, would even go so far as to trust her with the lives of loved ones… could she trust Hermione enough to believe in her devotion and trust of her husband?
Ginny swallowed and took a leap of faith, "Alright Hermione. I don't trust him… not even a little, but I do trust you. If you say he's not evil… well I know there must be a hell of a lot more to the story for that to be true, but I'll trust you that it is a legitimate reason why. And I won't tell Harry. Just… for Merlin's sake, use a privacy charm next time!" Ginny required as she stood.
Hermione blushed and nodded, "We will… Severus was injured and well, it just wasn't on the top of my priority list at the moment."
Ginny pursed her lips and tapped her foot, looking to the side until she finally made eye contact with Snape. Rolling her eyes, she sighed and mumbled to herself, "ugh, I can't believe I'm doing this."
She walked closer to them and raised her wand at Severus. He quickly went to raise his as well, but Hermione firmly held his arm down. She shook her head at him with a smile. She knew what Ginny was doing and was actually very grateful to her friend for trusting her so much, and for being such a caring soul.
Ginny waved her wand and whispered a spell as a yellow light shot out of her wand tip and surrounded Severus before bringing up a list and info only Ginny could see.
"You have two fractured ribs and need to sleep and eat better." The red head waved her wand again and a different yellow spell shot forward, "Whoa, that's different."
"What?" Hermione asked intrigued.
"I can literally see his life force connected to yours. Hmm, he is a little low on blood as well." Ginny moved the spell over to Hermione and confirmed that, while Snape was injured, Hermione was not affected and was in perfectly good health. Finally Ginny ceased the spell on Hermione.
"Do you want me to fix your ribs?" Ginny addressed Severus.
"No."
"Good." She returned her attention to Hermione, "Now get dressed, give him some blood replenishing potion, and get him out of here before Harry returns." Ginny said as she walked to leave the tent.
"Thank you, Ginny."
The redhead waved her off as she left.

After Hermione had fixed Severus' ribs with a scolding for not mentioning them earlier, the two were dressing when Hermione paused in a bra, sans shirt, and reached over to kiss Severus, "I really have missed you. It is getting more and more difficult to be apart for so long."
He sighed and nodded, "I agree, but I have been in constant company. I left something for Harry in the woods that will destroy the horcruxes."
Hermione's eyes grew wide, "What? What is it?" She asked as she finished putting on her shirt.
He smiled at her, "Something as a Slytherin I should not have: the Sword of Godric Gryffindor."
Hermione felt a surge of hope blossom through her, "The sword will destroy the horcruxes?"
"Yes, as you know the basilisk fang destroyed the diary. When Harry killed the basilisk, the sword absorbed the power of the basilisk poison to become stronger, as is the way with the goblin made sword. I realized that it should work the same way and be able to destroy them."
Hermione grinned and leaned up and kissed him soundly, "Genius!"
Severus gave her a happy smile and small laugh at the happiness he saw in her eyes. He wished he could see it more often. It wasn't long though before their smiles faded. "It's time for me to leave again my dear."
She straightened the front collar of his robe before asking a quiet, "How long before you will be able to return again?"
Severus sighed, "He is sending me on a fool's errand. It will be pushing two weeks yet again. I'm sorry."
She nodded, "Do you think you can allow our connection to communicate more this time?"
He pursed his lips, "If I believe it is safe to do so, I will, yes. Keep an eye on Ginny. Make sure she is not considering telling anyone. She is one of the worst people to know about us because she has so much access to the Order right now."
She gave him a faint smile. "Or she is the best person, because I know she is good at keeping a secret, and I believe her when she said she would not tell. Harry would have blabbed to anyone he has ever met."
"Hmm." He mumbled in agreement.
They held each other and kissed with longing for a couple minutes before he was gone again. Hermione sighed; she really needed to find those horcruxes and end this war!
It wasn't long before Harry returned… with Ron in tow. When Hermione saw him, she marched right up to him and slapped him. "That, Ronald Weasley, is for leaving." Then she stepped up and hugged him,
"And that is for coming back." Ron took a second to overcome the shock of being painfully slapped- he knew he deserved it- and then hugged by his friend.
"How did you know where to find us anyways?" She asked as she stepped back.
"The Deluminator Dumbledore left for me. It took me to Harry." He shrugged.
Harry was beaming as he stepped forward, "Hermione look at what I found in the forest!" He said as he lifted up the sword. "It destroys the horcruxes! Ron already destroyed the locket." He said gleefully.
Hermione smiled, "Three down, three to go."
"Now we just need to figure out what those last three are."

AN: It was so fun reading all your assumptions about which red-head it would be that walked in the tent. I thought I would leave a little mystery. Anyways, I know Ginny was very 'lax' about this discovery, but it was how I pictured it in my mind. I hope you're not too disappointed with her lack of response.
Unfortunately this will be the last chapter for a while. I have some family issues going on right now, as well as work, and preparing for college to start up again. I haven't had time to write anything for any of my stories on here, and there is one I'm working on that I haven't begun posting yet, but it will be a long time before that happens. Thank you for continuing to critique and read my stories and for being patient with me! ;)
