The rain was pouring in sheets from the dark colored sky, people hiding under trees and soaked even under their umbrellas.

Mana hadn't even shown up when she had seen the weather forecast, telling Hinata ahead of time that she wasn't going. Turns out that Mana was completely afraid of rain storms, even without the thunder.

"Go Hinata-kun!" I was able to scream at the top of my lungs with the rain pounding and only a few bystanders. The hood of my sweater was drawn over my head, my hands covered in sprinkles of water and the bottoms of my dark denim jeans were tucked into my blue rain boots.

I didn't know if Hinata could hear me over the rain, it was hard enough to see him through the torrents of water just by itself. But occasionally I would see him look at me, hair plastered to his scalp, his eyelashes drenched and dripping onto his cheeks as though he had been crying.

It made my heart race watching him.

Although unfortunately it wasn't a win, the boys put all their effort into it.

Hinata jogged over to me at the end, tucking himself under my umbrella, his soaked arm pressing against mine.

"Is Mimi here yet?"

I pulled out Hinata's cell from my coat pocket and looked at the texts to see that there was one.

"She'll be here soon." I said, putting his phone back in my pocket.

"Thanks for holding onto that by the way. I didn't want to take my bag today in this weather but you also watched over that."

I had a blue bag resting on my feet under the small shelter of my umbrella and although it had its fair share of rain it wasn't drenched.

"You're welcome." I blushed to myself.

He looked at me and I can't seem to make eye contact as water drips down his skin in little delicate beads. "You didn't have to come."

I shove the umbrella toward him a bit roughly before bending down and unzipping his bag, pulling out a white towel Aunt Mimi had packed ahead of time and handed it to him, taking the umbrella back in exchange.

"You seemed to have forgotten what I told you." I said shyly, staring at the darken blades of grass.

"What?" He asked curiously.

Swallowing my embarrassment I looked up at him. "I'll always be here to cheer for you."

Hinata blinked at me, water falling from his eyelashes at the movement. He didn't reach to ruffle my bangs like he did last time, but his hand made a fist. There was something that dawned on his features, I couldn't really tell what it was but suddenly those bright green eyes darkened as though deep thoughts were swirling through him and it was as if he was seeing right through but at the same time, only seeing me.

I didn't really understand whatever magic it was that his eyes were casting but I had to look away hastily as my heart took off like a rabbit as my body warmed from my toes to the top of my head.

"Um…" I tried to speak, to fill the silence the pounding rain had surrounded us in when a car blared behind us.

We both looked to the car and Hinata quickly grabbed his bag with one hand and my wrist with his other, rushing us out of the rain and practically diving into the backseat. Closing the umbrella I placed it on the floor, closed the door and then buckled up.

"How was the game?" Aunt Mimi asked as she began to pull out from the field.

When I looked back over at Hinata and it was as though the boy I had just seen had disappeared and his eyes were bright again and was caught up in light emotions. I felt my eyebrows narrow.

"We lost, but we're still going to the finals at the rate we're going."

"That's good."

What had just happened to Hinata, why had he looked at me so intensely? Well, it won't be the first time, but…with a sigh I let it go. Chances were I was just over thinking this and that was never a good thing.

Leaning back on the seat I pulled down my hood and scratched at my bun where it was a bit too tight and pulled it free, feeling very relaxed as my hair fell down my shoulders like a light piece of silk fluttering in the breeze. I crinkled my nose at the sudden overpowering scent of my shampoo and conditioner and heard Hinata sniff beside me.

"What's that?"

"Sorry, my hair let out a tidal wave of the scents from the shampoo and conditioner." I told him and he looked over at me with that cloudless smile.

"I see, well it smells nice."

Stiff, that sentence was so stiff.

I looked over at Aunt Mimi to see her shoulders had risen ever so slightly, so I wasn't the only one who detected it.

"Is everything alright Hinata-kun?"

"Yea, just the loss of the game getting to me," He said as he turned his head to look out the window.

Looking quizzically at the back of Hinata's head I decided against questioning him further, whatever was on his mind was shouting obvious signals that it didn't want to be bothered.

Aunt Mimi chattered the rest of the trip home and told us that there was progress in the new Vocaloids' registrations into school and hopefully they would be going to school in two weeks.

I got super excited; I couldn't wait to attend school with Ia! Wasn't Mayu 15 too? She could attend with us!

Leaning forward I joined the conversation.

"Should I have been put in the 2nd year instead? You're supposed to be a 1st year only when you're 15."

"Mmm, well when is your birthday?"

"My…what," One of my eyebrows raised and Hinata looked back over in disbelief.

"Do you have a birthday?"

"What's a 'birthday'," I pronounced it slowly as I felt the word rack at the back of my brain, had I heard that before? It almost felt like I had but I couldn't put my finger on it.

"It's the day when you're born." Aunt Mimi filled in and let out a snort, "I guess the correct terms with you would be to ask when you were made."

"So…the day I was made is my birthday?" Something inside began to glow, I had something so very human all the sudden. A birthday. I felt a silly grin pull at my lips. "August 31st. That's the day I was…well complete."

"Well then you're in the right grade, since you only just turned sixteen."

But…I was always sixteen. Should I tell them that? Nahhh.

"We didn't celebrate your birthday!" There was true horror in Hinata's voice. "We have to do that as soon as possible!"

"It's the middle of September Hinata, it's a little late."

"It's never too late!"

"I could give you a few examples where that doesn't apply." Aunt Mimi retorted.

Hinata frowned, "Well still, it's never too late to celebrate a birthday."

"I'll be fine, there's still Meiko's and Rin's and Len's and Oliver's and Piko's birthdays."

"When are their birthdays?"

"It's November 5th for Meiko and December 27th for the twins," I supplied the information eagerly, "And December 21st for Oliver and the 8th of December for Piko."

Aunt Mimi tapped her nails on her steering wheel. "You know what; we need to tell Luka about this."

"Do we?" I tilted my head curiously to the side.

"That's a lot of December birthdays." Hinata was muttering under his breath.

Aunt Mimi's grin was wicked, "Luka is one of those people who go all out, whether it be worrying about someone or celebrating. She's bound to go crazy over the concept of birthdays."

I giggled, "You're scaring me a bit."

"So when is everyone else's birthday?"

"Oh uh…" My stomach gnawed with pain, after December we…we…I mentally shook my head and plastered on a smile. "Gumi is June 25th, Gakupo is July 31st, Luka is January 30th, Kaito is February 17th, Mayu is May 6th, and Ia is January 27th."

Hinata whistled under his breath, "That's an impressive memory."

"That knowledge was just part of my program, we were always aware of new Vocaloids. That's the only reason I remember it, otherwise I probably wouldn't know half of those."

"Well we got time for the others."

I could feel myself shutting down and pushed past it, now was not the time to be wallowing in self-pity.

"That's right!"

"Three months in a row! Of birthdays! We'll be broke!" Hinata suddenly burst.

"Oh shut up." Aunt Mimi glared in the mirror and Hinata frowned so deeply that I burst into laughter all the way home.

When we got back Ia attacked me with a bear hug, wrapping her arms around my neck and walking with me through the house as Hinata replayed the details of his game to everyone.

"Come on Ia," I whined playfully, "I gotta change!"

Her eyes went wide with playful curiosity, "Into that lovely white shirt on the floor?"

I blushed so red that I'm pretty sure I put lobsters to shame, "N-N-No!"

"Say Miku," Her smile glittered with hidden intentions, "It must be pretty important to cuddle with."

"Shushhhh,"

I hurry us away into the room and Mayu suddenly burst in from behind us, her blond, rainbow hair a swirl as she twirls in the center of the room wearing a knee-length white dress, a ponytail, and wiggling her free toes.

"Look, look! Don't I look cute?" She asked us as she modeled in front of us, pulling at the thin spaghetti straps of her billowing dress.

"You look adorable." Ia smiled. I smiled in agreement, nodding actively.

"It covers my axe perfectly too!" She lifted up the hem so we got a startling glare of the sheen off of an costumed sized axe strapped to her thigh.

"Mayu!" I panicked! "What are you doing with that?"

"It came with me. But my bunny didn't," She frowned, "I should at least be allowed to hold onto this."

"That could seriously injure you in this world, what if you fall on it?"

"For your information my balance is outstanding!"

Ia made a weird nose under her breath that I wasn't sure if I could call a snort or not.

Mayu looked down at the ground, dropping her dress from her doll like hands and grabbing Hinata's shirt off the ground.

"Whose is this?"

"It belongs to Hinata-kun."

"Oh, he will probably need this back."

"No no, don't take it back to him, let's just drop it off into his room." I shook my hands wildly.

"Ohuhuhuhu," Did Mayu just…laugh? "You treasure this shirt don't you?"

"Pffft of course not," I waved it off, "It's just a shirt!"

"So we can just give it back to him personally. In fact, you can do it yourself." She holds the shirt out towards me and with insane bravery I snatched it.

"Yes I can!"

"Let's go right now!" Ia jumped back away from me so she could clap her hands together excitedly.

I swallowed down the knot in my throat that made its way down into the pit of my stomach, my heart stuttering.

"Y-Yeah," I clenched the shirt in a tight fist and we headed out of the room, not even getting the chance to change my own clothes first.

We walked to the living room where Hinata stood in a loose gray t-shirt and a pair of basketball shorts, looking as handsome as ever.

I suddenly had a little trouble breathing and Mayu and Ia pushed me slightly forward, one hand on each shoulder. "Go!" They whispered to me in unison.

I raised my head and dashed forward, shoved the shirt at Hinata without looking at him with burning cheeks. "This is yours!" I tumbled over the words and worried if it was even clear Japanese. But instead of pondering over it I raced back to Ia and Mayu as fast as possible and we all hurried down the hallway together even though Ia and Mayu had no reason to.

They were giggling, lightly elbowing my sides as I stuttered at them. But despite my extreme embarrassment I was able to look up with a wobbly smile with the small flying feeling I had received for doing something crazy with a pair of friends that I would have never done on my own.

It had been daring, embarrassing, and well, a bit fun now that Mayu and Ia were here to giggle with me about it.

"That was so much fun!" Mayu trilled.

"I need to change my clothes now you guys!"

"Hurry up then Miku!" Ia said with an adorable smile.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed a change of clothes and hurried into the bathroom as Mayu and Ia gathered on the floor, laughing at jokes they were sharing back and forth between each other.

I smiled to myself and looked up in the mirror and felt my eyes soften at my own reflection with a newfound emotion, I didn't know what it was called but it felt a bit helpless.

These wonderful emotions that made my cheeks flush and my eyes brighten were going to be taken away from me within such a short period of time.

Wait! I told myself I wasn't going to think about it anymore!

Silently scolding myself I changed and left my clothes on the floor, nothing wrong with leaving a mess every now and then. I hurried out to the others, "You guys wanna hear a joke I just thought of!" I beamed to them, joining the little circle filled with nothing but smiles and laughter.

So this is a simple chapter, but at the same time something very very big happened and I don't know if you can see it but yea! Turning point, most definitely. Anywho, for the next few chapters I'm going to write little shorts for the new vocaloids who have joined us. Ia, Mayu, Piko and Oliver for two reasons, I want to drawl the story out a bit more and small break from the main story would be nice and refreshing for my brain. The other reason is I feel as though I don't get them in enough. Now will I do story shorts with the other Vocaloids? Well I don't know, if you want me to then I will. Just tell me a character you would like a point of view from and I'll type it. Do that soon because these shorts are only happening now.

So besides that...
